The way everyone feels about underwater Combat is how I feel about Prowler mode, it would be cool to see it come back with new and revamped mechanics. Plus I want more palico customization akin to what is in rise
Something that I would want to have return would be the monster part trading system in 4u where parts of certain in game monsters could be traded for parts of monsters not in game as it would show the monsters are in the world even if not the game plus more gear would be available.
For World they didn't want to have all the weapons look the same, they just didn't have time... That's why what i want for Monster Hunter 6 is that it has a lot of time to cook, i want the devs to really have time to finish every single aspect of the game
Without watching the video yet what Monster Hunter actually needs: 1 - Skippable cutscenes 2 - A multiplayer system that doesn't require you only join your friend after they've watched the unskippable cutscene If they just made those two changes to MHW it would go from being an 8/10 to a 9.5/10 immediately
my cousin and i were doing the first part of the behemoth hunt and we noticed we were both in the cutscene. i think this was the only time this occurred. it begs the question, why can’t the other cutscenes function the same way? it would make multiplayer entirely seamless, without the need for all players to view a hunts cutscene (if it has one of course) before being able to join in on each other.
I truly can not understand why it works like that at all. MH is best played together and playing through World seamlessly would improve the experience by at least a hundred times.
The things I want for Monster Hunter 6 to have and to return it is a massive list I just pray and hope every last one of them will come true 1. You're able to play us your little cute partners Palicos and Palamutes I thought sunbreak will bring that but it did not so hopefully they bring it for 6 2. I also enjoy how Ice Break you can use the monsters parts to upgrade your weapons I really enjoyed that it made me feel like an RPG when you fight that red dragon forgot what was it called it had cool designs and you can upgrade above the limits I enjoy that a lot hope they bring that back and do that with other weapons 3. I also would love for Monster Hunter 6 to have NPC companion if I just want to play offline I can recruit hunters from the HQ and I would like to recruit like a monster to my party if I want to go wild with it in the big one or the small one 4. And I agree of your statement with the tracking of monsters it really immerses my hunts hopefully they increase the study the monster routine make it more fun 5. I was thinking when I was playing Monster Hunter World Ice Break you can be your own chef and cook the food more detailed like a mini game you can find ingredients on the Wild and cook them for better results if you succeed the mini game something I would like for Monster Hunter 6 to have 6. I also would like to Monster Hunter 6 to have it's like when you recruit cats or dogs and you sent them off to get more items for you I want them to make a little bit of a challenge like if you pick certain of those recruits they might steal your stuff if you're not careful of who you pick make it to keep in your toes 7. I also would like for Monster Hunter 6 to have your own farming system and you have to do it yourself or get some NPCs to do it for you to get rare goodies or common drops 8. There's also agree with one of your statements as well weapons, I would like Monster Hunter 6 to fix all their issues all those weapons that involve putting feathers or scales they make it a way that we can make it original weapons just like the Old Worlds of their weapons and for the new monsters they need a new look completely I would like to see how it look like if they were to have their own design of the weapons for those new monsters hopefully Monster Hunter 6 will bring that, really broke my heart what they did on Monster Hunter world 9. I was so late to try underwater compact play the little bit of it anytime I think I could have liked it so hopefully Monster Hunter 6 will improve it and besides the bigger the world the bigger the adventure 10. I also like for Monster Hunter 6th to bring back I can customize my own room and go out in the wild collect some animals have my own aquarium to see my fish collections and exploring difficult corners of the world and collect very goods to use for cooking are planting farming and collecting more rare animals those I hope they bring back for Monster Hunter 6 That is my list for my Monster Hunter 6 wishing and hoping they bring back or ADD towards the game and I would love this game to be massive contents the base game is big enough and they will add three expansion in the future for the game looking for for the 2025 and see what the outcome
ClutchClaw is fun if your not speed running and also it enabled alot of need ways to fight monsters and even when i used to clutch to speed run a fight, i could finish them in 2 to 5 mins at the end game with clutch claw use, sometimes even shorter if i was going off
Agree on the spiribirds. At first I thought they were neat then after the first set of village quests I was like "...its gonna be like this every hunt. Why."
4:35 I'm completely fine with it. I liked searching for the monsters in World, but it got way too tedious after a point. I wouldn't mind them bringing back the research stuff, as long as the gauge fills up quicker 5:05 The clutch claw would be a great mechanic to bring back if it's only for latching onto things. And it could work well with "wirebug-esque" moves
In my opinion the under water combat of TRI was very realistic and mostly accurate to real life however there was a pretty big problem with speed. In real life underwater combat is absolutely slow and plodding in addition to having a requirement for the use of special weapons to be viable. Imagine trying to swing a sword that is the length of your body without the sword moving you in the process. Then add to that trying to make it actually cause damage and you have a nearly impossible situation. Yes I have actually swung a sword underwater and it is an absolute nightmare to try and get it to work. I had to remove some underwater plants so that they wouldn't stop the flow of water in a storm flow area and it took so much energy to try and make a cut and even then it took much longer to cut through than outside.
Bet you don’t know about my secret club the underwater swordsmen then 😎 jk, yea if water combat is to come back they will need to find a way to make it exciting and fun to play for a majority of players
@xJayst Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the underwater combat and the concept of being able to chase the monsters into normally impossible to travel areas but the slow plodding nature of water combat is not something that players will particularly enjoy I think especially when the series is known for very high energy fighting with other types of combat. The wire bugs aren't the solution either but maybe something halfway between the two. Personally I think that over reliance on high energy combat and certain other things are a double edged sword that rewards twitch movements which leads to faster game play which rewards more twitch movements. The end result is that unfortunately you never have a slower more planned hunting experience.
One thing I absolutely NEED in the future titles is MORE SAVE SLOTS! 😂 I'm not kidding I need more characters. I enjoy learning new weapon by starting from the beginning with it and learning to overcome everything the game can throw at me at every point of it
Personally, I'd love for these things to be in the next game: - underwater combat - clutch claw combo attacks as actual parts of the base movesets (like lance counter claw or dual blades combo ender) - more augmentations specific for weapons. I loved having the ability to increase GL shelling level so a unique augmentation for each weapon would be nice - return of reworked old weapons - keep switch skills. Moveset flexibility is wonderful to keep combat fresh especially if you play just a small amount of the weapons - return of forgotten monsters. Stuff that people don't even think about like vespoid queen. Old monsters like that can be reworked to be better imo - styles like in GU. If switch skills aren't an option then this is the next best thing imo - debut of spin off monsters. Explore, Stories and Frontier have a lot of cool monsters that deserve to be in mainline games. Even if it's just a one-off it'd be nice to see them There should be other things that I can't think of right now but hopefully some of the ones on my list make it to the next game
I’m surprised people haven’t wanted a system where the time of day determines monster spawns and potentially having some exclusives. This would help sell a lot of monsters lifestyles and evolution.
I wouldn't say I like it but I 've realized that I don't mind spirit birds that much. There are some decently quick routes on each map I think and I found myself discovering a lot more of the maps that in any other MH. I don't think I would want them back in another MH game. I think that for me in rise the wirebug was a good choice of a mechanic that forces especially new hunters to explore the map. That's my opinion though
I don't agree with the magnet spike coming to the main line monster hunter. But I do want 2 new weapons in MH6, one idea that uses kinsects and gets small monsters to attack large monsters. Pet class weapon.
The thing about the Clutchclaw, it is never really mandatory, it just makes the hunts take a bit longer. Honestly the Clutch Claw is only mandatory in three fights: Safi'jiva, Alatreon and Fatalis. For every other monster in the game you do not need it to have a good time on your hunt.
In my opinion the only real problem the underwater combat had was no Superman dive to avoid damage. You had a special longer dash using it underwater but it had no s so it was pretty much worthless. I became a lance user for underwater hunts as the shield was basically required.
I loved the concept and romanticized idea of underwater combat, but now replaying MH3U and farming Lagiacrus I realise that every time I encounter an underwater quest it is always accompanied with a mental sigh. The 3D movement underwater makes me feel, ironically, trapped with lesser freedom of movement when it comes to dodges.
Well ya your under the water mobility it limited unless your biult for and human are not built for it and there's plenty freedom of movement I just think people can't understand 360 degrees of movement and don't take into account that you move a little slower and have to do things a little sooner and dodge a little later
not just that. I just feel like my inputs for dogdes and movement don't naturally correspond to what one would expect. Dodging sometimes goes forward along the direction of the camera, but sometimes it dodges downwards@@Sirfortune881
I just want infinite restocks to go away and the map to not be so full of healing. Bring back hunting prep and resource scarcity, and nerf the hunter instead of buffing the monsters when it comes to game balance. Negative armor skills and monster tracking should come back in an improved form- finding the animal is most of what a hunt is after all.
Great vid, Few notes. Spiribirds: It's actually a buff. Though I 100% agree that it feels like being nerfed at the start of a mission, but the stats come from an item you equip (and than completely forget about) which is giving you bonus stats on top of more bonus stats if you collect the bird. The alternative is that you just dont have it. You are arguably much weaker, but its more on par with other game series.' Tracking: Omg rise really just through tracking out the window. EVERY MH game has you tracking monsters, in the older series, it didn't feel like it, cause you dont get anything to make it easier or and log book bout it....except maybe your brain. If you recognize certain traits, you can predict which biome on the map a monster gonna be. An example, your looking for a cold bird, and the map has a grassy field, an ice cave and a wintery mountain, each with like three numbered area. You can at least guess you should check the mountain tops. But Rise and their over powered nonsense. WE GET IT! Komura is CLEARLY the superior hunter tribe, ok! Eastern beats western! You win Capcom, all hail the Komura master hunters. ( I do love rise. It's incredibly satisfying to play) Pack beasts: I think you forgot ...quite a few monsters. Izuchi is a pack beast, but he is only one in a long list of them. They been around forever. All the Dromes and prey, such as Velocidrome and Veliciprey, Diadrome and Giaprey, Iodrome and Ioprey etc etc. Even others such as Royal Ludroth and all his normal Ludroths. these are just a few. There is a LOT of pack monsters. Even Frontier had a few, such as the Walrus (cant remember name, but I think he used similer modal as Royal Ludroth) Accel Axe: Yes. We need the axe in the mainline, That fact that it only existed in a mobile game is criminal. Would probably get toned down visually in main line. Frontier weapons: Also Agree, but... magnet spike can kind of stay gone imo. It really just doesn't fit. Like on a weapon design idea. It's entire concept was based on a monster mechanic, said monstered used magnetism. Frontier was crazy. Like literally, they threw EVERYTHING at the wall, and if it didn't stick, they used super glue. Game still feels like a fever dream...one I really wanna go back to and play again. magnet spike though....when I think about, I dont want them to add it back in...I think I would rather they used what worked about it and added those aspects into what weapons we have. A big beefy weapon that lets you dart in and out of the monsters range? Thats the Gunlance. Magnet Spike was just more satisfying, but with some tweaking to game play or a style choice, Gunlance could just BE magnet spike. Even the whole swap mechanic and the way it works could also be fitting into a style for switch axe or Charge Blade. I kind of want them to go back to the original artwork that inspired it and give the hunting boomering, just a BIG OL BOOMERANG that smash things with. No magnet magic involved. Truthfully speaking, I beleive the problem with Magnet spike is kind of what I'm hitting at. Even people who played frontier agreed, it kind of just replaced other weapon options. Why play those when Magnet Spike is right here, plays better and does the same function. Tonfas....absolutely, no notes. add em back in, I wanna punch things again, and not just with the Sword and shield... though it also needs to be toned down. Frontier was CRAZY! Tonfas had a good style, but....not sure it translates to Mainline. So add back in, tone it down. and I would love to see the Switch Axe of Frontier make it to main line. If ya dont know...they were not the same. It was Called the Switch Axe F. and .... omg. its the reason I love the switch axe today, just in hopes it ever makes it to main line. That weapon was on crack. loved it, check it out if ya havent. Ya know what, its a bit similar to Accel axe "Raid" battles: I think every one whos played enough monster hunter wants some HUGE multi group fight. We've had it before. Laviente was hunted by 16 players at a time, but I can't recall what game he was from. Course If I remember right, it was still groups of 4. but old technology, they could probably do it now. Hell look at MHRise. We got 4 people, all with a pet, we basically hunting with 8 atm. I'm sure they could give us a massive monster like Zorah Magdalos from World and just 16 man beat that guy down from every which way. Imagine a map which is JUST that boss fight.
I agree with everything you said about the weapons from frontier. If they were to be added in they have to be heavily toned down to even fit into a normal monster hunter titlle. And yea i hope we get bigger raid hunts and stuff like that. Can you imagine how cool it would be to take on something like Fatalis with 6 or 8 players
@@xJayst Abdolutely. It almost feels like certain bosses are just massively powerful , but shruck down and nerfed of what they COULD do simbly because there is no realistic way that 1-4 people could singlely do it. But if the way technology is right now with Rise, scaling bosses with more/better loot for more people could work wonders. Like porportionally stronger bosses with more hunters, and you get more rewards for how much stronger it gets. Or just add mechanics which can be covered by having more people. Pulling out my reat, but Imagine a fight with a Fatalis, but instead of sitting on the ground taking hits from massive weapons because...i dunno, Some rider dropped his egg or something...He actually would stay airborne, so hunters gotta use some ballista style Hook claws to drag him down and keep him in the area. From there, hunters can fight as normal or use other mechanics until he breaks, melts destroys his restraints and gotta have some back up options. Possiblities are endless with MH
I see what you mean with "new" monster classes, but you really didn't phrase it well. Imo we need some variation and monsters from less crowded classes like amphibians (already got Chatacabra yay), temnocerans (at least one should appear judging by switch axe preview), neopterons (please Seltas and Seltas Queen!) and maybe even snake wyverns With your example specifically I like the idea of better coordinated group fight and considering what we saw in trailers we might even get smth like that. Only thing is that they won't be a class on their own and wolf like monsters even if it's a pack should be considered fanged beasts or fanged wyverns
I never did get people saying the weakening was Mandatory, Maybe on the Seige hunts, yet I ignored it most of the time and still completed hunts just fine. Probably was slower, but even on shorter timed hunts i managed. Played till Fatalis dropped but never got around to Hunting him as my hard drive died and i found up my Cloud save hadn't updated since the start of Iceborne.
Personally I’d love it if they’d just revamp the old themes like what they did with Amatsu’s and Chaotic gore I never want to hear shitty fucking vocals for 90% of the themes again it was so aggravating right Narg in rise not because of the fight or the shitboxes but because of the theme they removed almost all percussion and that wonderful bombastic energy and neutered it into square dancing with some chick singing in the background I think instead of reusing the powerful monster gimmick they have been reusing since 4 they should take notes from RDO and have certain monster have like a specific legendary individual who like has a scar or is wanted dead for ravaging a town and make the fight different and the reward be a different weapon and armor tree plus different status or something like imagine fighting an Anjanath that was injured in a fight and resorted to being a man eater and it fights in a unique way that’s way different from a regular anjanath kind of like those stories about injured tigers going on rampages Going off of the idea of the rampage quests instead of it being a small area lets up the ante and have a large group of hunters defend a wall that is protecting a village or city and if the wall falls we have to try and mitigate the damage to homes and villagers I hoe they bring back the alpha and beta armor sets again it was such garbage in rise having only one set per monster except for a certain one if I remember correctly If we could get a fast pace Stun weapon with like 3/4 the speed of dual blades but with the ability to rack up stun that would be cool like a nunchuck weapon or dual hammers or just a straight up staff that would be cool or if we could just straight up box a monster with gloves/gauntlets Or another way to add more variety in weapons which would tie back into my idea of having legendary monster hunts is make the legendary hunts get their own standalone weapon like say for example you kill a legendary deviljho and you get the materials to craft his unique weapon it would be like a rocket powered spear or like if you killed a legendary brachydios and you can just use his fists to clobber enemies that would be cool and fresh way to spice up the game And I think for my last idea is can we have some more damage details like scale shrapnel if you like poke or stab at an area for a while like it gets more visibly scarred or if you break a monsters claw or ring or hand area you see the bits of claw and broken material flying off and actually be an interact able object like a severed tail instead of a white shiny pixel not to say the degree of like full on like arm being cut off or like decapitating monsters (although that would be a cool way to finish a monster) but some extra details to release more happiness chemicals upon finally breaking KUSHALAS NOGH UNSEVERABLE RAIL OR NIGH UNBREAKABLE HEAD other than the crunchy sound effect and the monster falling over writhing on the ground
All of your ideas sound super cool especially the one with the continuous “destruction” of the monsters body parts. As for fast stun weapons they should bring back the tonfas from MH Frontier! And the legendary Monster thing you mentioned was already a thing with Bloodbath Diablos, would be really cool if they made more monsters like that! 😁
7:14 After fighting a Lagiacrus in the flooded forest, nah I'm good thanks, doesn't even go to the one area he's large enough for until he sleeps (maybe*, I have 3 deaths *stun* and 1 completion of that iteration of Lagiacrus). One thing about tracking, we've never tracked a thing bar world *paintball wears off as monster flap flaps), even then with max research (or what I'd assume to be max research level 4, full bar) sometimes I'd just have a monster not show up on the map even after picking up it's track, which is great when a 10 minute hunt becomes 20 because Paolumu flew around. Some things about layered I don't like is, you can never tell "what" someone is wearing/using at a glance, This isn't as big of a deal in like MMO'S where gear now is just "stat stick of the bear", but in MH If I see a Sharpness Regen horn, I immediately go "oh yeah it's a fkn sharpness regen horn YIPEE" which is something Sunbreak lost upon adding transmog, were they to include it again, I would appreciate an option to not see peoples transmog, I shouldn't have to go to a separate tab to see what people are using. Another thing with layered is some inconsitency in the weapon designs seen for returning monsters in iceborne such as glavenus and brachydios (base brachydios) where already established designs, got the world stick plus brachy shell to them, that can definitely not happen again. here's a sub, hunt monster, uhhh infinite stamina drinks for infinite wild swings when-
I mean, pack monsters basically already exist. You mentioned Great Izuchi, but basically all the old world raptors and greats are pack monsters as well. Also heavily disagree on hunts with more than 4 people. 4 hunters is the perfect maximum amount, and any more would tip the balance of the game too much in my opinion. In Rise you can have more than 4 entities fighting the monster at once since you can bring your dog or cat even in 3-4 player hunts, and the chaos is honestly a bit too much.
Hopefully in wild have more flash out npc like rise and sunbreak every seen played during monster hunter I alway forget some of past npc seen mhfu to mhgu (expect for pokke village chef that traumatize rest of my hunting career and guildmarm because of her simping for bachy) sure we have world finally give voice acting for npc but don't feel "connected" to them (expect for commander and "rajang" moral) seen they refer to has commander or handler. But in rise they fix that problem finally npc having proper names and this have more personality and thank to follower system in sunbreak we get know them even more I want that this type of npc and follower system in wild (the follower system is also helpful seen not everyone has online membership on pa5 and Xbox and course some quest that really need multiplayer to be clear)
64 is kind of an exaggeration but there’s plenty game that can support that many players in a lobby. Maybe something more realistic would be 16 Hunter hunting a giant monster lmao
In terms of maps and movement I disagree with you and think World's formula in this question is the best and it seems that it's the direction they chose for Wilds anyway
Worldborne was my first monster hunter game, and regarding the clutch claw, I saw everyone complaining about the wounding mechanic and all of that, welp, friend and I used the clutch claw for flinch shots only, and we cleared every monster in time. I would say it's pretty doable, it's obviously not the fastest/most efficient way but... Doable.
Its very simple if the group doesnt want to hunt your monster hunt their monster first then they will help u hunt your monster after this i why og monster hunter is better cause no one talks or is nice like this anymore
I agree on basically everything you said. For the love of Gog above make the weapons normal again. What’s the point of having layered weapons if the only thing you change are some feathers glued to a chunk of bone? Research on monsters would be great, another way of immersing the player into the world. Something rise completely lacked was immersion, since the moment you stepped into the map you already had the knowledge of all the monster’s locations, but also where they were going next. The lack of procedural monster movement based on its needs was also ruining the immersion. A living ecosystem with endemic life that interacts with the large and small monsters and even the player in a way that’s natural would be my top priority for MH wilds. The game can look like shit, the monsters can be half decent, but please make a natural and realistic ecosystem. I’m tired of endemic life being stationary bugs where the only option is to stab them with a knife and smell their farts. Water combat isn’t mandatory, but it would be great if it returned. The only thing in this video I don’t agree on is the clutch claw. I never had a problem with it, and I wouldn’t cry if my damage wasn’t on speedrunner level and it wasn’t the full damage potential of my weapon. I never made builds in World because I was just enjoying the game and not screaming at it for not giving me a jewel after my 100th completion of the quest. I didn’t care if I killed MR elder dragons in five minutes or thirty minutes. The clutch claw was never mandatory, save for literally TWO HUNTS at the end of the game, and even if you hate it you can use it for two hunts. It wasn’t like wirebugs or spirit birds, where you have to use them because otherwise you will die. It was just an addition to the slinger, and there was no game mechanic that required you to use the slinger or the clutch claw. If you say flinch shots are annoying and badly designed, maybe they would actually work for you if you didn’t try to pull them off as the monster’s attacking? The occasional flinch shot was great if you pulled it off, but you can get through the game without doing it once. Clutch claw was not that bad, and i’m tired of saying it was bad.
Underwater combat was introduced in a main line monster hunter title. I and many others enjoyed it and I'm positive that if we see it return it will be miles better than in 3 and 3U since technology and game design evolved a lot since then.
@@xJayst Capcom has its hands full with introducing new elements and expanding on existing ones. And Wilds looks like the most ambitious MH game of them all. Fumbling with underwater mechanics is not the right way to spend development time.
First off as a side note... my greatest dream is to have an entire Final Fantasy based Monster Hunter World style of game. Every monster is a classic monster from the series. Combine the Weapon system of MH with the Job system of FF to create an awesome hybrid of classes. The different locales are famous places from Final Fantasy games. Imagine hunting monsters in the streets of Midgar, or the beaches of Costa Del Sol. You could have a town hub designed like Narshe, Altissia, or Balamb Garden. In my mind I see this being a game of a lifetime if it ever happened. THINGS I WANT TO SEE MH6: 1. Shared, but independently skippable cut scenes. (My friends and I only play together to be honest, its very annoying having to independently go trigger cut scenes.) 2. Palamutes as a standard feature. I also want them still usable as a mount even when the party is full. 3. Guaranteed Side Quest Creatures - If the territory and the weather are accurate just make the special creature show up at a designated location. I really dont want to run around and catch 500 penguins until I catch a Gold version. 4. New or Returning Weapon Types - Particularly I would love to see a form of Insect Glaive without the Insect portion. 5. Slide Attacks are a MUST - As a hammer main.. the spin moves in World were the most fun iv ever had in monster hunter. 6. Better broken part and sever looks and effects. I want to see a wing or a claw literally go flying off with every broken or severed body part. Plus monsters should lose abilities if they lose body parts. 7. Monster Fatalities - I just think it would be awesome if each weapon type had a finisher trigger for each monster. Not a cut scene or any required button combinations, but just straight up whoever gets the final hit triggers a finisher ending on the spot. Imagine Long Blades just decapitating the monster, or Hammers golf swinging the monster onto its side before leaping into the air with an awesome looking sonic spin splat. 8. Weapon and Armor skin revamps - Many of the weapons and armors have looked the same for multiple games now. Time to go back to the drawing board and dream up some new ideas. 9. Underwater Combat and Exploration if it is done properly and is actually enjoyable and not a burden. 10. Scout Flies - I actually really enjoyed this concept including the in hunt directions as well as the lore book companion that filled out as you found additional tracks or monsters. 11. Territory Wars - This was an amazing feature. I want to see this improved upon. Bigger and badder fights between the monsters. Perhaps even a way to lure other monsters to the area. 12. Raids - For a lack of a better term I agree with what was said in the video. I want a new takes on the Rise's Rampage. Rather than being a small arena gate defense. I want like a large check list of monsters that need to all be defeated in a certain amount of time. You pop in with like 8-10 hunters. There is no set order to kill monsters, and there is also no lives limit. Each death results in weaker rewards, but will not cancel the hunt with too many carts. Its basically a race to see how quickly you can defeat all the rampaging monsters in the locale. Do you all team up and go one by one, do you break into teams and hunt 3-4 at a time, do you all break off and try soloing them... your call. THINGS I DO NOT WANT TO SEE AGAIN: 1. Wire Bugs - I personally did not care for this system at all. Not for the exploration or combat. For exploration id prefer something more natural like wind drakes, geysers, or air/water currents. For the combat half of things I would just prefer things be build into weapons, armors, and gems. If you want to include actual skills then perhaps adding something like a Sphere Grid from FF10 would be cool, especially if you could take mastered skills onto other weapons for cross weapon play encouragement. 2. Song Birds - I agree with the video, what a silly idea. Patch that out of Rise already. 3. Separated Solo and Multiplayer Quests - Rise was a big let down because all of the monster reveals and story elements were tied to the solo campaign. Coop virtually got nothing. That is an old and outdated system, and what they did in World was much more coop friendly, aside from the silly independent cut scenes. 4. Coop Player Flinching - There is nothing more annoying then finally knocking over a monster and watching your character keep stutter stepping at the start of his attacks because a long blade, or a gunlance are up in there. I have always hated it, please just do away with it. 5. Immersion breaking DLC - I love some good DLC like the Bahumut or Witcher additions. Keep the Street Fighter stuff out though. 6. Silent Protagonists - A tracker companion is fine, but dude just let my guy talk already. Tired of having mutes that are only capable of grunting and taking orders. 7. Multiple Palico/Palamutes - I really disliked this system in Rise. Just need one of each. The way World let you send your friends palicoes to hunt for you was much better than managing and leveling up an army of pets. 8. Monster Combat Riding - Despite what I said above about territory wars.. I just didn't care for this feature to be honest. Another side effect of forced wire bug features. It was cool once or twice but then just got annoying. Using monsters to explore is pretty cool though. But if they add in palamutes there's no reason to be honest, unless its a once in a while event to reach a new hidden location. 9. Excessive/Useless Items - No offense but half the items in monster hunter these days are not even used by anyone. Should do an overhaul do away with all the excess fat. On a similar note, I don't want to have to carry around things like armor and attack metals taking up inventory slots. If I create these one off account items.. just apply them to my character.
I agree with most of what you said except for the silent protagonist, i really enjoy that but i wouldn't be mad if they made our character talk in later entries. What i definetly 100% agree on are the Scout Flies, Permanent Palamutes and your idea of Monster Fatalities. If they gave every weapon like 3 different Fatalities we'd have more than enough variety to slay monsters in style!
> Slide Attacks are a MUST - As a hammer main.. the spin moves in World were the most fun iv ever had in monster hunter. Agreed, so long as they aren't tied to an existing attack button, and of course it shouldn't be tied to the dodge either. One of my biggest gripes with the slopes in MHW was they'd force me to do a slope attack when I'm trying to do DBs spin attack, as that's the core of DB gameplay
You want to know why we never had underwater combat return? Because it's complete garbage. The game has always shined on creating interesting fights and underwater fights were dull as dull could be. The game went from it's fun fast pace action into a slow, slow slog. Not to mention the issue correctly directionally moving and dodging was problematic and visually finding the correct distance for your weapon was difficult (not in a fun way). NO UNDERWATER COMBAT. I do not want to relive the hell that is underwater combat with the Gobul or Lagiacrus.
Lore should never be used to prevent good gameplay, just like regional differences like the owls in rise, we could get a region where it is possible for more that 4 hunters to be part of a hunt
Without watching the video yet what Monster Hunter actually needs:
1 - Skippable cutscenes
2 - A multiplayer system that doesn't require you only join your friend after they've watched the unskippable cutscene
If they just made those two changes to MHW it would go from being an 8/10 to a 9.5/10 immediately
my cousin and i were doing the first part of the behemoth hunt and we noticed we were both in the cutscene. i think this was the only time this occurred. it begs the question, why can’t the other cutscenes function the same way? it would make multiplayer entirely seamless, without the need for all players to view a hunts cutscene (if it has one of course) before being able to join in on each other.
I truly can not understand why it works like that at all. MH is best played together and playing through World seamlessly would improve the experience by at least a hundred times.
Really hope they add ray and lolo,my favorite frontier monsters and having two animals work as one would be amazing
The things I want for Monster Hunter 6 to have and to return it is a massive list I just pray and hope every last one of them will come true
1. You're able to play us your little cute partners Palicos and Palamutes I thought sunbreak will bring that but it did not so hopefully they bring it for 6
2. I also enjoy how Ice Break you can use the monsters parts to upgrade your weapons I really enjoyed that it made me feel like an RPG when you fight that red dragon forgot what was it called it had cool designs and you can upgrade above the limits I enjoy that a lot hope they bring that back and do that with other weapons
3. I also would love for Monster Hunter 6 to have NPC companion if I just want to play offline I can recruit hunters from the HQ and I would like to recruit like a monster to my party if I want to go wild with it in the big one or the small one
4. And I agree of your statement with the tracking of monsters it really immerses my hunts hopefully they increase the study the monster routine make it more fun
5. I was thinking when I was playing Monster Hunter World Ice Break you can be your own chef and cook the food more detailed like a mini game you can find ingredients on the Wild and cook them for better results if you succeed the mini game something I would like for Monster Hunter 6 to have
6. I also would like to Monster Hunter 6 to have it's like when you recruit cats or dogs and you sent them off to get more items for you I want them to make a little bit of a challenge like if you pick certain of those recruits they might steal your stuff if you're not careful of who you pick make it to keep in your toes
7. I also would like for Monster Hunter 6 to have your own farming system and you have to do it yourself or get some NPCs to do it for you to get rare goodies or common drops
8. There's also agree with one of your statements as well weapons, I would like Monster Hunter 6 to fix all their issues all those weapons that involve putting feathers or scales they make it a way that we can make it original weapons just like the Old Worlds of their weapons and for the new monsters they need a new look completely I would like to see how it look like if they were to have their own design of the weapons for those new monsters hopefully Monster Hunter 6 will bring that, really broke my heart what they did on Monster Hunter world
9. I was so late to try underwater compact play the little bit of it anytime I think I could have liked it so hopefully Monster Hunter 6 will improve it and besides the bigger the world the bigger the adventure
10. I also like for Monster Hunter 6th to bring back I can customize my own room and go out in the wild collect some animals have my own aquarium to see my fish collections and exploring difficult corners of the world and collect very goods to use for cooking are planting farming and collecting more rare animals those I hope they bring back for Monster Hunter 6
That is my list for my Monster Hunter 6 wishing and hoping they bring back or ADD towards the game and I would love this game to be massive contents the base game is big enough and they will add three expansion in the future for the game looking for for the 2025 and see what the outcome
Bring back Poogie RIGHT NOW its a sin for it not being in every game. 0/10 next game and boycott if this happens
100% Agree.
Never liked rise as much as other earlier entires, and now I know why!
Why."
4:35
I'm completely fine with it. I liked searching for the monsters in World, but it got way too tedious after a point. I wouldn't mind them bringing back the research stuff, as long as the gauge fills up quicker
5:05
The clutch claw would be a great mechanic to bring back if it's only for latching onto things.
I'm not kidding I need more characters. I enjoy learning new weapon by starting from the beginning with it and learning to overcome everything the game can throw at me at every point of it
Im begging on the world weapon design point.
Personally, I'd love for these things to be in the next game:
- underwater combat
- clutch claw combo attacks as actual parts of the base movesets (like lance counter claw or dual blades combo ender)
- more augmentations specific for weapons. I loved having the ability to increase GL shelling level so a unique augmentation for each weapon would be nice
- return of reworked old weapons
- keep switch skills. Moveset flexibility is wonderful to keep combat fresh especially if you play just a small amount of the weapons
- return of forgotten monsters. Stuff that people don't even think about like vespoid queen. Old monsters like that can be reworked to be better imo
- styles like in GU. If switch skills aren't an option then this is the next best thing imo
- debut of spin off monsters. Explore, Stories and Frontier have a lot of cool monsters that deserve to be in mainline games. Even if it's just a one-off it'd be nice to see them
There should be other things that I can't think of right now but hopefully some of the ones on my list make it to the next game
If the devs don't want to make new skins for weapons and gear like the fan's make some I think that will be cool
We need to NOT suck farts in Monster Hunter Wilds.
There were also pack fights in World. Great Jagras and Great Girros.
You are arguably much weaker, but its more on par with other game series.'
Tracking: Omg rise really just through tracking out the window. It's incredibly satisfying to play)
Pack beasts: I think you forgot ...quite a few monsters. Even Frontier had a few, such as the Walrus (cant remember name, but I think he used similer modal as Royal Ludroth)
Accel Axe: Yes.
Ya know what, its a bit similar to Accel axe
"Raid" battles: I think every one whos played enough monster hunter wants some HUGE multi group fight.
Imo we need some variation and monsters from less crowded classes like amphibians (already got Chatacabra yay), temnocerans (at least one should appear judging by switch axe preview), neopterons (please Seltas and Seltas Queen!) and maybe even snake wyverns
With your example specifically I like the idea of better coordinated group fight and considering what we saw in trailers we might even get smth like that.
Personally I’d love it if they’d just revamp the old themes like what they did with Amatsu’s and Chaotic gore I never want to hear shitty fucking vocals for 90% of the themes again it was so aggravating right Narg in rise not because of the fight or the shitboxes but because of the theme they removed almost all percussion and that wonderful bombastic energy and neutered it into square dancing with some chick singing in the background
I think instead of reusing the powerful monster gimmick they have been reusing since 4 they should take notes from RDO and have certain monster have like a specific legendary individual who like has a scar or is wanted dead for ravaging a town and make the fight different and the reward be a different weapon and armor tree plus different status or something like imagine fighting an Anjanath that was injured in a fight and resorted to being a man eater and it fights in a unique way that’s way different from a regular anjanath kind of like those stories about injured tigers going on rampages
Going off of the idea of the rampage quests instead of it being a small area lets up the ante and have a large group of hunters defend a wall that is protecting a village or city and if the wall falls we have to try and mitigate the damage to homes and villagers
I hoe they bring back the alpha and beta armor sets again it was such garbage in rise having only one set per monster except for a certain one if I remember correctly
If we could get a fast pace Stun weapon with like 3/4 the speed of dual blades but with the ability to rack up stun that would be cool like a nunchuck weapon or dual hammers or just a straight up staff that would be cool or if we could just straight up box a monster with gloves/gauntlets
Or another way to add more variety in weapons which would tie back into my idea of having legendary monster hunts is make the legendary hunts get their own standalone weapon like say for example you kill a legendary deviljho and you get the materials to craft his unique weapon it would be like a rocket powered spear or like if you killed a legendary brachydios and you can just use his fists to clobber enemies that would be cool and fresh way to spice up the game
And I think for my last idea is can we have some more damage details like scale shrapnel if you like poke or stab at an area for a while like it gets more visibly scarred or if you break a monsters claw or ring or hand area you see the bits of claw and broken material flying off and actually be an interact able object like a severed tail instead of a white shiny pixel not to say the degree of like full on like arm being cut off or like decapitating monsters (although that would be a cool way to finish a monster) but some extra details to release more happiness chemicals upon finally breaking KUSHALAS NOGH UNSEVERABLE RAIL OR NIGH UNBREAKABLE HEAD other than the crunchy sound effect and the monster falling over writhing on the ground
Great video! keep up the good content. make sure to annunciate well!
Thanks! I try my best, English is not my first or my second language 😅
Do you feel that tri is the goat because I do
I have a thing to say shut the f up you stupid people for not wanting water combat. ( gobul is #1 lagy #2 ) and magnet spike is to op
Tri wouldve been goat If only it had more content....
They should bring back great jaggi.
Woah friend don't you think 64 players in lobby can have "some" technical problems 😅
64 is kind of an exaggeration but there’s plenty game that can support that many players in a lobby. Maybe something more realistic would be 16 Hunter hunting a giant monster lmao
In terms of maps and movement I disagree with you and think World's formula in this question is the best and it seems that it's the direction they chose for Wilds anyway
water combats a no go just add lagiacuse and we are good cus water combat will shrink the roster alot
Yeah, I'm good without under water combat
Worldborne was my first monster hunter game, and regarding the clutch claw, I saw everyone complaining about the wounding mechanic and all of that, welp, friend and I used the clutch claw for flinch shots only, and we cleared every monster in time.
I would say it's pretty doable, it's obviously not the fastest/most efficient way but... Doable.
It is indeed doable, I primarily play without tenderizing. But feeling nerfed like is still sad🫠
Its very simple if the group doesnt want to hunt your monster hunt their monster first then they will help u hunt your monster after this i why og monster hunter is better cause no one talks or is nice like this anymore
accel axe accel axe accel axe accel axe
accel axe accel axe accel axe accel axe
Just to be clear I love the clutch claw, my only problem with it is the tenderizing everything else is great 👍
underwater combat can return on Nintendo console if they ever get another MH game. We don't need gimmicks on big consoles
THINGS I WANT TO SEE MH6:
1. Shared, but independently skippable cut scenes. (My friends and I only play together to be honest, its very annoying having to independently go trigger cut scenes.)
Do you all team up and go one by one, do you break into teams and hunt 3-4 at a time, do you all break off and try soloing them... your call.
THINGS I DO NOT WANT TO SEE AGAIN:
Well, i liked it and i'll like it again if we get it. But i won't be sad if it never returns.
You know that the lore says that you can't have 5 people or more because they will die
Lore should never be used to prevent good gameplay, just like regional differences like the owls in rise, we could get a region where it is possible for more that 4 hunters to be part of a hunt
