By the way, I was actually unsure if dragonblight in 3U effected sharpness or not. I tried looking it up and found no info as to why there was a down arrow on the sharpness meter. If anyone can find any info on this please let me know.
Dragonblight only nullifies your element/status and nothing else, the little arrow is probably only there to tell you it affects your weapon and not the hunter. In Monster Hunter Tri specifically, dragonblight reduced your affinity by 50% and that was it, but in 3U onwards it only affects the element/status.
Who else is a Switch Axe Main laughing🤣 at this knowing that as long as we have sword gauge we have natural minds eye (no bouncing). Gauge does run out but You have two option in MH3U by this challenge restrictions. A. Be an expert at monster anatomy to hit soft areas in Axe mode until Gauge Comes back. Or B. Wait for chance to refill manual After a monster wide swing attack, or leave the zone , refill manual then return previous zone to continue hunt.
Y'know,i think most of us watching these videos don't even realize how much dedication and commitment a challenge like this actually takes. I would've gave up on it a thousand times now,well done Reaver! Also,loved the puns and editing! It's always a treat to watch your videos,looking forward to the Sunbreak stuff once it's released!
When I get my credit down, I'll most definitely try and find a good Wii U, a couple of games and MH3U cause I want to both revisit the Wii U and to experience Gen 3 at its best. Who knows, maybe I'll also try and get a 3ds and MH4U with a circle pad pro (if they still exist)

dude yours took 4 hunts,I hunted it 52 times to get my second one,my first was after my 6th hunt and I spwnt it on the dios blade to find that my rathalos gs after just 1 upgrade could have made the dios blade,I have now gotten a total of 5 or 6 dios gems after about 65 hunts
No skills that effect *sharpness,* not *sharpening.* Slow sharpener effects the act of using a whetstone, but has no effect on the sharpness bar itself.
how is reaver always attracted to the barons blazon. reaver never learns its a fact. i listened to you edit this and play this. now for your next xhallenge go and completely solo loc lac. it takes an hour to setup so go do it. i doubted this would happen. howd he beat it. now go do somethin gharder than dire without sharpening. go hunt a jhen in tri without sharpening. just so you know reaver im not gonna stoop annoying u until you do tris loc lac. go do it ya beak

I played MH3U on 3DS and had to play it all solo and that double Brachy quest was awful, I remember having like 5 seconds left when I completed it

not sure if it's a thing in this game but in Rise and World if you're using charge blade you can charge the sword and it won't bounce.
Charge blade isn’t in 3Ultimate, it was introduced in 4Ultimate with the sword charge introduced in world.
i did the 2 volvi quest twice and had every thing i needed to make the armor
Uragaan full armor = no deflect weapon = no shapening needed.
