I started with tri, and while it's true that new school will undeniably be miles better than old school (likely with wilds) eventually, I still think 4u is the best MH experience so far. Let us hope Capcom will take the criticism from world/Rise and make the best MH out there.
my only problem with new school MH is wire bugs and clutch claw gimmicks. Wire bugs reduce the risk of danger and clutch claw is necessary to deal optimal damage not to mention clutch claw Jank, like aim for face and end up in the leg or torso. Or the monster is on the ground half the time, enraged the other half. the problem is that they aren't optional features, so they feel super cheesy.

XX/GU is the longest game in the series, and trying to run through it in one go is likely to burn you out on it. I recommend treating it more as a game you slowly chip away at over time while playing other games. 3 Ultimate on the other hand is a game you can go hard into grinding at like you're currently doing with 4 Ultimate. 4 Ultimate is the GOAT btw, glad to see a fellow newbie hunter like myself seeing how great that game is.

I started with Monster Hunter Rise when it released purely on a whim, and once I got over the initial hurdles that was getting used to the gameplay, I was so in love. But I was also curious about the older games and their feel, so after awhile I started playing GU, and something about it just immediately sucked me into the old art style and feel of the older entries. I poured hundreds of hours into it, then went to Portable 3rd and Portable 2nd G (Freedom Unite), and they remain my favorite respective games despite their lack of quality of life that we have in the fifth generation. Maybe I’m just nostalgic because I grew up on the era of the PSP, but it’s certainly a bit weird to be someone who played Rise first but calls his favorite games from the second and third generations. I do agree that the new school is objectively better in every aspect, but I get so much satisfaction from the older games that it’s hard for me to say which I think gets it perfect. It’s a subjective matter that we could debate about for ages. Though I hope those who started in fifth generation and are curious what the older games are like, are willing to give them a chance, because k think that many of them have aged very well.
In all earnest, yes World can become quite easy with experience, but thats also ture for older titels, replayed some FU recetly, had a blast this nice nostaliga feeling coupled wiht a healty dose of grinding. But all in all it was not as hard as it felt back in the days. It's not that the games became easy, it's that most vets just have over 1000hours of experience.
I started with 4U, but I have played mostly world for few last years. I have beaten alatreon in world so I do think myself as an ok level hunter. Boot GU for nostalgia, got my ass kicked by high rank rathian... It was so much harder than what world ever was.
Monster Hunter I feel has 3 distinct breaks in it's cycle, the first game, dos, freedom, freedom 2, freedom unite are all very similar and capture the core Monster Hunter experience, then Tri was the first big break, it changed the art style and was a lot more experimental and brought on the Nintendo Era which if I'm honest was my least liked era as it felt like too much was changing, especially with 4, 4u, generations etc... They all started to try to make the game flashy where the Hunter was a god like human who could do insane things, it added things like mounting and other "gimicky" mechanics that trivilarised the experience and made things feel formulaic. Then the next big break was World, where everything changed again and finally the game started to look fantastic, but it did smooth out too many of the really good parts of the game although I do feel like World reduced some of the gimmicks and returned to a more realistic approach which made me happy. Honestly I just want a high definition Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.... :( Maybe MHGU without the hunter arts and special moves etc...
Imho, MHFU was my comfiest game, the kitchen, the farm, the atmosphere of the people and the village was the comfiest of all the games. 4U was the most fun with the huge amount of content, and I really enjoyed CB with how broken it was all the way too lvl140 GQs. Plenty of epic fights against multiple elders in a variety of arenas. My personal gold standard of a jam packed monhun game. MHG/GU has the best fight in the whole franchise for me, solo adept LS against Glavenus. Done right, the fight is a beautiful dance between you and Glavenus, also helps that it has one of the best fight theme song. World was great for setting up a new way for monster hunter to function and play, and Iceborne expands on World by providing actually challenging monsters. I still play it since it's accessible and there's still a healthy amount of players. I have my nitpicks, but that's from playing it for the longest time. I wouldn't mind MHW2: electric boogaloo expands on what World and Iceborne brought forth. Rise was the first game I actually got bored with, the weapons have no "ooomph" on hitting monsters, the wirebugs and silkbinds makes you extremely overpowered and extremely mobile. Before sunbreak, the only monster that made me sweat was the Magnamalo in the demo. Doesn't help that the maps felt empty in a sense. A lot of monsters are not tuned to keep up with the hunter's mobility. I tried multiple times to play it, but it's just not for me.
I miss monster hunter portable 3rd, zinogre my all time favorite monster was better than in newer MH games. I just want to have again the feeling of yukumo village, I want a remake of mhp3rd, generations didn't give the feeling of yukumo village. And that's also why for me 4u is one of my favorite games, it's sometimes hard, and in generations I can easily kill monsters that I fought for the first time like malfestio. I just like monster hunter old school I like zinogre and I like your videos.
believe it or not I have been a fan of monster hunter since I was around 7 (turning 17 in may). However that was because of the demo's on 3ds me and my brother used to play. Then I got my first monster hunter game at around the age of 9 or 10 (can't remember). It was stories, then I got generations a couple months later. I played the hell out of generations. The charm the online lobbies had on older monster hunter was insane, I got 4u somewhat 2 years back If I remember correctly and I was blown away by how much the gameplay held up. I am also a fan of the underwater combat in 3u (as a concept, it for sure needs some refining). Then when I was 13 on my birthday I got my first switch lite and mhgu which was on sale at the time. I played that game so much and then the following year I got rise 2 months after its release on my birthday. However within the last 2 weeks, I got an xbox series s and got world+iceborne as they were on sale which I spent ages saving up for from work. What im trying to get at is that I do consider myself quite an old time fan even if it was from a younger age. Personally I think there is one way to retain the charm and love of the older games, that is either sideagames in the art style or port's. I have been waiting for the first monster hunter to be remade for way to long and I won't stop begging Capcom for it. I welcome all the changes with the new world, I think it gives the new generation its own feel and sort of sub-gameplay loop onto of the base monster hunter formula we all love. My hype for wilds is unmatched/
My brothers have played Monster Hunter for ages and they finally convinced me to play MHW with them a couple years ago and it's been a blast! They tell me of certain systems with the old games, like a limited number of pickaxes or long zone loads as the monsters leave, and it sounds like a nightmare. Seems like new MH has more quality of life fixes. Overall, you're point of there no longer being a sense of dread for you is unfortunate, because I feel it quite often, even with over 300 hours in the game. Heck, fighting Teostra and Lunastra together just to get the stupid Temporal Mantle was a stressful experience. But it's fun playing with my brothers and I think I have more hours in the game now then they do. I tried Rise, but it calls back to Old MH too much for my taste, but World is special. Thanks for the vid
As someone who started with Tri when it released, I feel like the clunkinese of the controls was not a good way to make the games difficult. As much as I love “classic” monster hunter, I always felt with every game except for world that I’m more fighting the controls rather than fighting the monster. Sure, it was a “challenge” but not in a good way. When World became more “fluid,” I loved it since it meant I didn’t have to deal with control frustration anymore. I remember even back when I was a new hunter, that some monsters made me audibly groan because they felt like oversized hit boxes running back and fourth while you had to deal with unresponsive clunk, and the constant thought of “I can’t wait to get this chore over with” was a feeling I never lost when facing some of the “harder” monsters (from Gen 3, to 4, then to 2 and 1, then to Gen ultimate, then finally when I played world is when I lost that feeling).
I haven't played a game in the series I disliked yet. Even ones I started out not really enjoying (World) I eventually came around to. 4 Ultimate is easily my favorite entry though. Almost everything about that game is fine tuned to near perfection. It's just such a well paced, enjoyable game to play with a near perfect monster roster and gameplay that feels just right.
3 Ultimate was pretty sexy at the time. I used to visit my neighbors house and my buddy and i would take turns going on hunts. You're definitely onto something. Encountering larger monsters was REALLY intimidating and we would spend hours gathering resources and eventually worked up the nerve to challenge it. All that to take down a Barroth. It was childs play in Rise. Literally made Barroth out to seem like the high school bully 😂 MHW feels way more cinematic and really gave the monsters a sense of scale and dread. Way closer to home imo. Great video man!
I feel That wilds might strike a balance, u can put down a camo closer if u want thats more prep work and risky but it does make it easier. Its bigger so maybye there wont be as much items clusterd up and some monsters will be in pacs so u gotta prep it by leading it away from the pac. i see wilds might be combining what we all want one way or antoher (no spirit birds pls)
I started with Monster Hunter 3 Tri and played almost every other MH game that came after (Except 3 Ulti) and I just recently replayed World without rushing it to get to end game Iceborn ASAP, and I must say it has grown to be my favorite game in the series gameplay wise, even if I still prefer 4U characters and story wise. I agree that the preparation is not as important as it used to in older games and how impossible the odds felt against you, but as someone who beat Alatreon on the OG Tri, I do not miss running out of potions and having to spend half an hour collecting herbs and blue mushrooms just to attempt it once more ( I swear me and a bunch of randoms must have spent 6 hours through an entire night just to beat him). With that said I do wish new hunters would experience that dread of fighting a monster, because I had been talking about how bad Deviljho and Tigrex are, my friend who started with Rise fought them and said they wheren't that special. I do wish monsters did feel more like this fearsome beasts once more rather than obstacles to get to the "real" fights.
I started in MHFU and I gotta say, the "this game is so much easier nowadays" complaint is the biggest lie, we veterans tell ourselves. I beat Akantor on my own just yesterday for the first time, because I was scared of trying him for 10 years and that Boi is very slow and easy, once you know his movesets. The difficulty of modern monster hunter doesn't come from arbitrary Item restrictions or clunky movesets on the player part (flexing after every potion, having to sheath before you use wetstones ect.) but on the fluid and fast movement of the monsters and very strong tracking and AoE attacks. I love World, I don't think world is (significantly) easier than MHFU or Tri (my brother beat TriU when he was like... 12) and it just looks and feels gorgeous. I am really hoping they build on that in MH Wilds and maybe incorporate some of the systems from older games that indeed were a little cooler (negative armor and jewel stats for example).
There's a thing called monster hunter moment. There's a youtube video about that. The problem with new world is that moment is only there on the end game monster. In the old world its there the whole game.
My Favorite Game is MH3U, as i am a big fan of the underwater mechanics and its still baffling for me that the "Open World" Monster Hunter game lacked aquatic Movement of all things. Something i noticed is that the new age titles are simple more accesible beside the things you mention in the video you also see your damage numbers by default. I would say the new games lose something with those changes but accesiblity isnt a bad thing. Something that plays a big role in the new age success imo is that it also was a PC Game and with that a way more open market then being bound to a few consoles. But sadly i burned out somewhere during Iceborn didnt player monster hunter (+ -esque) games since then.
I started with World and it's one of my favourite games of all time. I love Rise with all of it's flaws From older games I only played OG and a demo of 4 or generations, can't remember which one. From what I know about older games I just know that I'll love gen 4 and probably gen 3 and 2,but ANYTHING is better than original game 😂 I know, I know it's a different game, different style, git gud scrub etc, but imo this game is too bare bones and janky and gen 2 is already a leap I will still try Freedom though 😅
Your opinion is valid, OG monster Hunter just isn’t for everyone but everyone should at least try the game to see where monster Hunter comes from. And yeah playing MH Freedom would be the best way to do that
I believe sun break/rise is the best. The content and pure gameplay fun and build variety make it the best. Although I would prefer if it had world’s ecosystem along with it. BUUUT, I love 4u and the jank .
my gripe with 5th gen are the gimmicks. wirebugs are okay since you can choose from a wide selection. late iceborne is miserable solo, monsters are too fast ans you can't claw consistently
While there is no objectivity when it comes to deciding which mh is the best one yet because the objective of a game is to provide enjoyment and thats inherently subjective for each person. With that being said world was one of my least enjoyed mh games. Icebourne was good and rise was much better than world and sunbreak was better than icebourne. But i dont think they were able to surpass my fav mh game is mhgu and i dont think its due to nostalgia. The entire vibe of mhgu is what makes it my fav, the music, fights, the amount of content, the variety, the movesets etc. I feel like sunbreak was the closest new age game to that and attempt at taking it further and it was actually pretty close my only issue with sunbreak is that it didnt have very many "peak" moments. Infact i think icebourne preformed better in that regard. Like the dropping of fatalis, alatreon, safi, and brachy. Those were very high peak moments of excitment preperation battle etc. Sunbreak while consistently more enjoyeable to me didnt quite have such high moments. I think we also need to stop shying away from the reality that while difficulty doesnt auto make a game good difficulty HAS been a massive part of what makes mh good. I dont think its good to pretend like thats not the case. Literally everyones story telling of them meeting their first wall and overcoming is a story about difficulty and getting stuck n finding a way past it and that hooking them to the game. Difficutly is an important part of mh and that looks diff for everyone but it is important. I want rhe game to be difficult within the parameters that it sets for me. So a quest is a quest. If it tells me to beat fatalis in 5 mins thats the challenge given to u. Thats not artifical difficulty. True art diff would be me having to take all my armor off by choice to have some semblance of a fight. I had to create it myself it wasnt already ingame.
To be brutally honest I prefer old Monster Hunter games b/c they have more style and flare representative of action games in Capcom's library (like DMC or Sengoku Basara) Monster Hunter World and onward tone down that unique style to create an experience that would attract a western audience that was used to the aesthetic and feeling of playing common online rpgs like Skyrim or WoW. It actually annoys me a lot how much Capcom invested in making MH World an experience that appeals more toward that crowd of gamers.
How to help someone understand the game or should i stop pestering him to play with us? *text after the dash is the friend's explanation on why its bad / wrong i tried introducing a friend to monster hunter world and his impressions were very bad. He didnt understand a lot of thing, examples: Weapon bouncing - he didnt understand that it is a bad thing and says the game should explain it, Tuttorial pop-up windows - He doesnt want to read that much text, Scoutflies highlighting both herbs (items you pick up) and monster tracks the same color - Color should be different of have filter, Game not telling you where the monster is and flies not leading you directly to it (also flies not doing the exact path he has to take) Tedious preparation for a hunt - he doesnt want to gather any meterials or craft any items Button mashing - he wants to just spam attack and not pay attention to the monster at all all in all, he just plays because the other 3 of us want to play. A bit of extra info, i technically started with mh4u, but i played for like an hour and quit, because i didnt understand. then year or so later i played Generations, i didnt get far, maybe 10 large monsters max, but i enjoyed it, so i bought World a year after it released. The other 2 friends one of them played a tiny bit of generations on my 3ds, he kinda understood the preparation and research for the monsters and was fine, while the other guy was not interested in the research and preparation, but at least listend to my directions.
Sounds like your friend is having the same experience you had when you first play MH4U, I had that experience too when I first played Monster Hunter. Try explaining to him that he doesn't have to know everything from the start and make him feel comfortable even if he's not playing well. If he likes to button mash tell him to play Dual Blades, it's a perfect weapon with less risky animations. Try to get him to pick up materials during a hunt, like on the way to the monster and stuff. That's pretty much everything I can help you with. Try that but don't worry if it doesn't work. Maybe it's just not the kind of game he likes and if so you can play with your other 2 friends and play other games with him.
@@xJayst I tried, but not much improvement. The dual blades did help, but my guy still has troube staying alive even with the guardian armor (he forgets potions so i play wide range) From what i understand, the main problem is the finding monster tracks to initiate the scoutflies pathing, because they mark other things. And for now doesnt want to bother with crafting (i atleast convinced him to make the defender DB, so he can do some damage) He's currently at the Legiana Hunt (will do it next time we play) Small edit: I'll try to play with only him for a bit. Hopefully with only me in a voice chat it will be easier to explain things
@@captainjimo Yes try that. And if that doesn't work maybe the game just isn't for him. I know you really want to play these games with your friends but if they don't like it there's not much one can do about it sadly.
@@xJayst We played last night and just reached High Rank for my friend. He got carted by LR diablos once, while the rest of us were loading the sos flare, but when he's not the sole target he can do some damage and stay alive. Also there were more issues with navigation in the ancient forest and coral highland, where he didnt like the map, it didnt have good indication on what was climbable vines and elevation. And still doesnt bother gathering But on the bright side, he said he wants to rush over to iceborne, so we are at the same progression. And learn the new things (his words). I hope the wall he's about to his his head in wont be too bad (i have trouble with MR monsters, let alone him) I probably wont add any more replies soon, because the group wants to play some Sea of Thieves Thanks for the suggestions, they did help even if just a bit
9:20 oh yeah, phenomenal online experience. That the same one wherein every one of your friends has to solo enter a hunt until they get all the cutscenes, then quit out before joining up on one person's hunt? Great fucking experience there, so glad Capcom's ass was large enough to fit their overblown head. Like idk if they ever fixed that, but man FUCK the MH-World devs for thinking that was a good idea. Almost as bad as having to run the same urgent quest 4 times in a row for everyone, except at least in that case you got 4 hunts worth of materials for armor/weapons.
I ranted about that in a video i made last year in march. That was complete BS from from capcom. Should have specified that I wasn't talking about playing the story together, my bad!
@@xJayst I do hope my frustration came across at Capcom not at you necessarily. Also I've definitely tipped my hat as a fan of classic MH. LOL I'd say the only other thing about new MH I dislike is that because the combat is so fluid it takes a lot of the weightiness out of experience. Everything feels like dual swords. Hoping when the next one comes out they put back some crunchiness to at least the hammer :)
I started with mhfu and, honestly, I love MH Gen 5. I can't understand how people try to bend everything to fit the narrative that old MH is best and that paintballs and loading screens are great. Like, what are people doing by ignoring everything else that Gen 5 did? Just saying it's bad because you can refill in old games is ridiculous. If you forgot something, you just abandoned the quest. And by the way, maybe you don't need so many potions because you can actually play the game with skill. It's not the shitty controls' fault if you got hit and stun-locked.
the mechanic with camp is actually a good thing. using your exact same argument in older games. forgot to eat ->restart quest, wrong weapon -> restart quest, forgot to fill up inventory -> restart quest. i think its one of the worst designs there is in the series. it doesnt add anything but annoyance. i think the abboundance of materials is way more of a problem that you just play the mini game at the steamworks and you never have to farm potions , traps or anything again. Even in the old games the need to restock ( unless it was gunner ammo ) was close to zero aswell but every mega potion felt hard earned and i had to consider if i should use a mega potion at all.
The series is becoming monster killer not hunter. Honestly with the trajectory of the game just drop us in an Arena with the monster and let us go to town. Let's stream line it all the way. No more tracking, prep, eating meals ect ect. Let's stop this slow deterioration.
Started with one, and I’ll say this, kirin is worse, some monsters suck, but honestly a lot of the newer fights are better. Raging brachy, Malzeno and primordial, amatsu, etc. but I will say that some of the new rise fights kinda suck. Not to mention they somehow made basarios BETTER. I at least think idk.
Idk man, like, if you didn't eat or got a refill on your loadout, wouldn't you just go through load screens just to go back to town, restock and then re-enter the quest?! I started with world, played a lot of rise, and I'm close to 100 hours in GU, and like, Most old stuff just feels like chores and not fun at all, paintballs sucks imo, the loa between maps sucks, sometimes the monster won't leave that damn line between, and you'll prepare to land a hit and change areas again. I think players that started with newer games can see better than people with nostalgia as you said in the video. GU has been great though, absolutely loving the Monster Roster, hopefully Wilds will be just as big Monster Wise.
You know that when you leave the Quest, the Monster gets reset? The old stuff you are referring to is all about preperation It's not Monster Slayer Like rise, you had to prepare your hunts and got results accordingly. World dumped down on these systems while rise made it completly opsolete. If you don't Like it its fine It's just Something people enjoyed
Rise was fun until they stopped letting me launch the game with mods. It is now objectively the worst title because I can't even play it anymore. I have almost 680+ hours on world and mods were what kept the game looking fresh for me. Downloading a new visual mod gave me the motivation to try different weapons or keep playing the same ones just because I wanted to test out the cool effects. I was at 100 hours on rise + sunbreak before they blocked me from launching the game, now I really don't feel like going back to it because It doesn't feel like there's anything new/fun for me to do anymore.
Porting to PC was the biggest game changer for Monster Hunter. Even though world was amazing, it would be completely unknown to the PC gaming world and there would never have been mods to make the game that much more amazing. Rise would definitely have flopped if not for the PC port too. If it remained a switch exclusive, I could imagine the monster hunter franchise ending with that title. How many people do you know who still plays regularly on their switch?
You can still use mod while playing MH Rise, you just need to update your REFramework. The update only broke mods compatibility for like 3 hours. Edit: While I prefer PC and know that PC gave Capcom millions of sales, saying that Rise will flopped if it remains a Nintendo switch exclusive is very wrong since the game already sold millions of copies on the launch day.
Careful bud, your artic temperature level iq is showing. 1st: Mods work just fine. I'm playing with them now. 2nd: Rise was a smashing success on switch, having 14.2 million units sold. Looks like you didn't research.

Maybe MHGU without the hunter arts and special moves etc...
Imho,
MHFU was my comfiest game, the kitchen, the farm, the atmosphere of the people and the village was the comfiest of all the games.
Old is the best ! 😅
Clutch claw + enitire body hitbox = nightmare
and monster can Clip frame. I see you, Kushala
Literally made Barroth out to seem like the high school bully 😂
MHW feels way more cinematic and really gave the monsters a sense of scale and dread.
Old forever
Another Banger video by XJayst
Don’t make me blush 😳
There's a thing called monster hunter moment. There's a youtube video about that.
The problem with new world is that moment is only there on the end game monster. In the old world its there the whole game.
100% agree with you
My Favorite Game is MH3U, as i am a big fan of the underwater mechanics and its still baffling for me that the "Open World" Monster Hunter game lacked aquatic Movement of all things.
I love Rise with all of it's flaws
From older games I only played OG and a demo of 4 or generations, can't remember which one. From what I know about older games I just know that I'll love gen 4 and probably gen 3 and 2,but ANYTHING is better than original game 😂
I know, I know it's a different game, different style, git gud scrub etc, but imo this game is too bare bones and janky and gen 2 is already a leap
I will still try Freedom though 😅
Your opinion is valid, OG monster Hunter just isn’t for everyone but everyone should at least try the game to see where monster Hunter comes from. And yeah playing MH Freedom would be the best way to do that
yes
I started with World and played mhGU, mh3u, mhf and mhfu afterwards
Tbh, I meanwhile prefer mhfu and mh3u over World haha
I believe sun break/rise is the best. The content and pure gameplay fun and build variety make it the best. Although I would prefer if it had world’s ecosystem along with it.
BUUUT, I love 4u and the jank .
wilds is going to be capcoms elden ring
my gripe with 5th gen are the gimmicks. wirebugs are okay since you can choose from a wide selection.
late iceborne is miserable solo, monsters are too fast ans you can't claw consistently
i really cant understand how some people can justify the old tedious bullshit is more enjoyable than the modern games
*text after the dash is the friend's explanation on why its bad / wrong
i tried introducing a friend to monster hunter world and his impressions were very bad. He didnt understand a lot of thing, examples:
Weapon bouncing - he didnt understand that it is a bad thing and says the game should explain it,
Tuttorial pop-up windows - He doesnt want to read that much text,
Scoutflies highlighting both herbs (items you pick up) and monster tracks the same color - Color should be different of have filter,
Game not telling you where the monster is and flies not leading you directly to it (also flies not doing the exact path he has to take)
Tedious preparation for a hunt - he doesnt want to gather any meterials or craft any items
Button mashing - he wants to just spam attack and not pay attention to the monster at all
all in all, he just plays because the other 3 of us want to play.
The dual blades did help, but my guy still has troube staying alive even with the guardian armor (he forgets potions so i play wide range)
From what i understand, the main problem is the finding monster tracks to initiate the scoutflies pathing, because they mark other things. And for now doesnt want to bother with crafting (i atleast convinced him to make the defender DB, so he can do some damage)
He's currently at the Legiana Hunt (will do it next time we play)
Small edit: I'll try to play with only him for a bit.
And still doesnt bother gathering
But on the bright side, he said he wants to rush over to iceborne, so we are at the same progression. And learn the new things (his words). I hope the wall he's about to his his head in wont be too bad (i have trouble with MR monsters, let alone him)
I probably wont add any more replies soon, because the group wants to play some Sea of Thieves
Thanks for the suggestions, they did help even if just a bit
@@captainjimoMan, if he can’t wrap his head around the game’s systems by Master Rank, he’s in for a very rough time.
LOL
I'd say the only other thing about new MH I dislike is that because the combat is so fluid it takes a lot of the weightiness out of experience.
Everything feels like dual swords.
Hoping when the next one comes out they put back some crunchiness to at least the hammer :)
@@ryuail no worries I didn’t feel attacked 😁 Yea combat can feel a bit too fast in my opinion as well
I started with mhfu and, honestly, I love MH Gen 5. It's not the shitty controls' fault if you got hit and stun-locked.
bro honestly i want a mhfrontier z but mixed with world
the mechanic with camp is actually a good thing. using your exact same argument in older games. forgot to eat ->restart quest, wrong weapon -> restart quest, forgot to fill up inventory -> restart quest. i think its one of the worst designs there is in the series. it doesnt add anything but annoyance. i think the abboundance of materials is way more of a problem that you just play the mini game at the steamworks and you never have to farm potions , traps or anything again. Even in the old games the need to restock ( unless it was gunner ammo ) was close to zero aswell but every mega potion felt hard earned and i had to consider if i should use a mega potion at all.
I starten with freedom1😅
New mh youtuber found lets go
4U>
sub number 300 :D
If dalamadur was in gu, and there was no loading screen between areas it would be the best monhun for me
Rise was way to easy
The series is becoming monster killer not hunter. Honestly with the trajectory of the game just drop us in an Arena with the monster and let us go to town. Let's stream line it all the way. No more tracking, prep, eating meals ect ect. Let's stop this slow deterioration.
Sup stinky
No u 😭
The old stuff you are referring to is all about preperation
It's not Monster Slayer Like rise, you had to prepare your hunts and got results accordingly.
World dumped down on these systems while rise made it completly opsolete.
If you don't Like it its fine
It's just Something people enjoyed
They are not
No.
Looks like you didn't research.
yes
