Nice, mine came shooting these at 875 fps and grouped really well too. Port was .25/.30 and Max Hammer wheel, nothing done to the adjustment screw and reg at 130 bar
Hi , nice to have you back on TH-cam. I always enjoy watching your reviews. Great work . I have just bought a sub 12lbs Fx Crown . It can do so many things , which I have to used to . I've got 2 boxes of slugs coming next week . I think the price is good . If you want the best ! You got to pay 💰 . Looking forward to next slug instalment. Take care .... Simon from York
Woodsman243 All right. I’m running power plenum from FX and reg pressure at around 110. Getting around 240m/s (790fps) with the hybrids. Shooting 2 mags.
Hi .How many days to get the license of air gun has more than 12 or 16j or lr22. Also, Is the law strict for these weapons in uk ?and are they popular in UK?
It ill be nice to see what you come up with. I like the idea of slugs, they are great for long distances but need to be used more cautiously due to the BC, I'm still trying to figure out if I want to use slugs more often or not, for hunting shots most of the time it's about a 30-40 yard shot and pellets do well and cost a lot less. I have some new slugs on the way, I do want some for knockdown power if I can get accuracy with them
Its a very valid point to make. Most of my hunting / pest control shots will be within 50 yards and these hybrids hit like a freight train. They do cost more yes, but from using them in the field - there’s no if’s buts or maybe’s - hit your target it goes down there and then. James
Hi my friend what fps were you running when you made this video as I'm running 800 fps and see quiet a lot of drop at 30metres??? Thank you so much for your time.
hi James I have just came into air gunning from 22 rim fire One question can these slug be shot from a Weiharuch 110 FAC standard barrel . Great vido by the way. Regards J C
Hi James!! why get a slug liner.....get the new Superior Liner instead from FX! they come now on all FX with 22, 25, 30 and 35 i believe! getting my new Impact MK II 22 with the new liner onboard! Should be shooting pellets and slugs as good! besides the slug liner is EOL and not manufactured anymore by FX! ;-)
My reason for wanting one is because i know a lot of people already have them, will get them secondhand or pick them up from shops with them in stock - i will of course be trying to get hold of the newer liners too 😉 james
@@ReplicaReviews fair enough! I actually sold my gen 1 Impact and getting delivered the new one with both the Superior standard and heavy Liner! Will pm you with outcome of testing if you like! 😉By the way I emailed Hugget as you wrote me to do bit have not had any response yet😒 I so want that shroud kid you have on yours💪👍
Its a “devon hedge”.... a solid stone wall in the centre with bushes, tree’s, grass etc planted in.... it’s solid. Plus the 8 fields behind are all ours too - so empty. And safe 😉
@@ReplicaReviews Great to hear but for new shooters best point that out in future just like when you review guns go thru the safety. Safety First. Enjoy your videos though
They are leaving the sub 12 ft lbs fx impact smooth twist x at 7 ft lbs and at 30 yards same groups as yours and clean threw the spaghetti tin 🥫 I was impressed what they can do great video 👍
Do you really think that its acceptable to do group testing shooting off hand with just a tri-pod. You will never get a slug to shoot groups that will be tighter than a JSB Pellet. Slugs may shoot ok out to 25 yards but you will never get them to shoot good beyond that. Also they are not worth the money they cost.
Do i feel its acceptable to do a real world test; openly state its a real world test, and say i’ll go onto do a proper bench test once the ranges open? ABSOLUTELY! As for the rest of your comment; yeh ok 😉 i guess the rest of us using slugs to great effect at long ranges must all be wrong.....
@@ReplicaReviews My apologies if I came off wrong with my posting, My problem is you see all these high end videos hunting with slugs but I do not ever seem to see anyone doing un-cut shooting groups compared to a JSB Pellet or any pellet for that matter. Yes I love the idea of how much better a slug is, but I have yet to get any slug to out shoot a Pellet beyond 40 yards.
@@wmnapier... They us a African utube channel.. Aim. Something!!!! He does comparison test with pellets.. Slugs at 50..100 plus yards.... Different power settings give different results....
When you tune would suggest 920+ a 600mm barrel and a slug liner for the cherry on top. Be careful with sub 12 I saw Andy (AAR) got one stuck in the barrel. Try the JSB knockouts out of the stock gun they are far less speed fussy and like Pellet A barrels best and a lot less expensive
Yeh i’ve heard a lot about sub 12 - the thing is i get asked about it A LOT , so kind of feel it needs covering. I’ll try and get my hands on some knockouts and see what they can do! James
ReplicaReviews would also get a good quality barrel rod in case it sticks. Have tried most of the slugs in sub 12 and so far pellets win hands down just not enough speed to stabilise them. If JSB bring out the lead free slugs (13gr I believe) it may we’ll be the game changer sub12
ReplicaReviews Ernest Rowe I see has got hybrids supersonic and working perfectly in one of his custom impacts will be interested to see the long range tests on them.

My FX Dreamline Classic loves them at around 900 fps, as you say nothing gets away
fac i take it?
Also shooting with Dreamline Classic. What settings are you running for the Hybrids?Hammer spring at max? Reg. pressure? Shot count? Power plenum?
@@TheMr2G Hammer spring adjuster one full turn above factory setting, power plenum from Huma Air fitted, reg pressure set at 110 bar. Shoots sweet

great video James cant wait to see how they go at sub 12lbs if at all, but keep up the brilliant work
They wont even get out of the barrel at sub 12,
we'll see.... i've got the impact back now so as soon as the weather clears up i'll be out to test them again!
Great video mate.
Thanks, appreciated! James
Next videos will be very interesting!. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!

I was wondering if they would work with the sig sauer virtus...
Personally - i wouldn’t risk it.... but that is however my own opinion based purely on my own thoughts - not actual testing. James

If its a .22 rifle then i’d say give it a try.
Hi James
The crown that you are using
Are you using the standard FX Smooth twist barrel or are you using the FX Smooth twist X barrel
Hi! Currently running the STX barrel - 500mm
Any idea the velocity you were shooting them at?
A certain someone, i’m not going to mention names, may or may not have forgotten his chrono..... i will be chrono-ing next time though. James
nice video mate, looking forward to your next one, and glad to see you back, Cheers

I had no way of telling what the power was at the target maybe you could cover that to cheers James

15 p per shot having a laugh and H&N slugs are better anyway
And H&N slugs are only 5p per shot
