The PCP world is growing very fast , I know first hand just with volume & Tire pressure in tires with up to 120 psi how deadly they can be and can kill ! we are dealing with bottles in the 4,500 psi range in the PCP world , it’s no longer handled through scuba shops who know how to test and fill these air containers ! Every time I fill one of my portable tanks I am aware of how dangerous it can be ! It’s so easy to overfill at a higher pressure while transferring from a 4500 psi compressor into a 3000 or 3500 psi PCP tank ! Enjoy the sport but realize what you are dealing with , it’s just like a loaded gun with the safety off ! Nice video and repair tool you made ! 👍
When I did mine the hardest part was to remove the valve. Which was Loctited, with black Loctite. I think you should mention this and would be better if you will show how to remove the valve without a purpose-made tool. Apart from these, great video as usual.
Hi , my valve had no loctide on it , I have heard from others that there was loctide on there’s aswel , strange there is no need for loctide on it 🤔 I first tried to remove it without the tool but I say quickly that I couldn’t open it without damaging it or leaving marks on it .
If anyone uses or continue to use the Huma quick fill adapter, you will have this same problem over and over. They now send a restrictor screw to use But it won't work either, it may work once or twice. Using the Huma blows the valve seat out of its seat, sometimes no damage to oring just reseat but sometimes the same as the video. When the bottle is screwed on the gun for filling the valve is pushed open allowing easy air transfer in either direction, using the Huma only high pressure air has the force the valve open thus unseating the valve seat. Bestfittings is working on one that will work simulating as when on the gun.
Thx 👍🏻 you can by these orings anywhere I guess , it’s a very common item/size . The correct size is mentioned in the video , I don’t know it by heart 😉
Thank you. great video. I have a leak from the breather hole near the safety. I know the origin is the reg. I have replaced all the o-rings. And recently purchased a service kit and replaced the delrin rod and adjuster screw. Still it leaks from the breather. Any advice? Thank you
Thx , mine didn’t have any loctide on it from the factory. So I don’t think it’s needed . There is a oring in the neck to seal it and the pressure on the inside will make it impossible to unscrew.
I don’t see the point of loctite if an o-ring is used to seal the air , if anything anti- seize might be better ! Tanks unlike mechanical moving parts on nuts and bolts should not require loctite .
Option 1 :Huma air sells adapter to fill a CF bottle but you can also use it to bleed the bottle Option 2: saber tactical sells a kit to bleed and remove the valve Option 3 : and the most cheap one , find a bold that can be threaded into the neck slightly file it down one one side so the air can escape slowly . Gently thread it on so the valve pushes open and let the air escape slowly. REMEMBER BEING SAFE , MAKING A TOOL LIKE THIS AND USING IT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Nice video, wel explained and very helpfull as allways 👍. May I ask, what do you use for lubrication of the o-rings? Will Ballistol do the job or is any silicone oil better? Thanks in advance.

@@Airbuks I've just put my order in with Francisco for the 250mm version. I think you would enjoy testing out the power jets and regulator tuning. Not to mention all the different mods you have for them.😎

Hi guys , sad to hear you’re experiencing this issue. Probably you have done this but I am asking it anyway to eliminate some options. 1. When you took the regulator completely out , did you make sure that everything and every surface was super clean before putting it back ? 2. Did you scratch any of the oring surfaces when removing the old orings? 3. Did you also replace the oring down in the regular hole ? Very difficult one to acces and easy to scratch that surface. You need a good pick to poke in the oring and manoeuvre it out ( like dokter bibber game 😉) 4. Did you lube all the orings when putting the new ones one ?
Make sure the alcohol is complete vaporized before assembling as it’s not so kind on orings . I recommend not using anything with alcohol, ballistol is much better for airgun use
@@Airbuks Thank you. Well after a lenghty clean, the spit test now reveals no leak, But test will be tomorrow morning. Usually after a few hours, the leak gets bad
