Thanks for your time and effort James, I've never tried slugs and after your videos probably never will, I have only got sub 12lb rifle, cheers again James, keep on videoing, 👌👌👍👍.
Use a slug but not as heavy, Griffin do lighter slugs which should be as light as a standard pellet. Then you would be testing bullet shape to see if shape affects accuracy not weight, in powder guns bullet weight usually has to match rifling twist.
Thanks for that James you have made up my mind I appreciate that. Great video very informative there should be more guys like you on youtube that are willing to give up there time to help us novices.👍😉
Here in the states we have been casting our own pellets ans slugs for our are rifles, when home casting slugs can be cheaper than purchased pellets. I also shoot them out of my low power American classic pump and CO 2 guns, many sub 12 ft LBS
Slugs will always and only now work at higher speeds. Seen the FX impact fling them at a good 80 foot pounds. But that's easier said then done for UK shooters.
Great Review James, good conclusion. Stick with Normal good quality pellets sub 12 . Hope to see you again soon , with a review. Cheers Simon from York Yorkshire..... 👍👍👍
Thanks James, whilst .22 slugs sub 12 are just too heavy, take a look at the 13gn .177 slugs from pro hunter. I’ve had some good results with them sub 12. www.prohunterswaging.co.uk/store/177-CALIBRE-13gn-Premium-High-Impact-Slugs-p221203930
@@ReplicaReviews Please do because ive tried them in my sub12(poss a little hot) BSA r10mk2 and they are useless, However in my springer they work great(bsa lightning gas ram). Great show again thanks.
To be fair to the test you could have tuned up to the 11.8 for the slugs and might just have got a marginally better result ..... not really worth the effort though. Are you still using the vortex or have u swapped to the element out of interest
I could of.... but then that would defeat the point of just picking up pellets etc and just using them.... the element scope is out on test; its not here to stay unfortunately, i will review it before they go back though - its a cracking scope though, really impressed so far. James
ReplicaReviews slugs and sub12 really aren’t worth it. Glad to hear u like the element my vortex diamondback tac has been back twice and am looking to get rid. I have one last sub 12 test to try and that’s .177 slugs just waiting for them to arrive
Interesting ... do you think accuracy would improve through a break barrel spring or piston gun as in my experience spring and piston guns prefer a heavier pellet or is their recommended use just precharged?
Honest answer: i hadn’t thought about it.... i’ve only got pcp’s myself; hence those being used, but i’ll ask around and see if anyone can supply one. James

I’ll have a look! Thanks, James
From my experience 21 grain h and n barracuda will drop your power to 9ftlb it’ll not rise with heavier pellets
You must try 17.5 grn nsa slugs mate.hope they will work well in sub 12 airguns.
I’ll look into them....
