    No joke, but my cousin married and her last name is Mohammed, every time taking the flight she, hubby, and the kids gets pulled to get special check; so she changed and hyphenate her name (maiden & married) and it is just the husband and kids getting pulled, so he was spot on with that joke (her husband parents and his family was born in USA).
    But as an update, they paid to get the TSA prechecked for both domestic and international (they conducted background checks and finger printing and then interviews before approving)

    • @asm1030
      @asm1030 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @Lola Lolita No, there is no such rule of that sort. It's just that if your name is demeaning it's recommended to get it changed. Otherwise leave it as it is

    • @asm1030
      @asm1030 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Lola Lolita Sorry I misunderstood your question. I thought you were talking about the case of a convert. In your case however I don't know what the official consensus is.

    • @sy20777
      @sy20777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Lola Lolita in this case, it is not allowed to denied the parent in this case the father of the child. Changing the name of the father in the last name could be categorized as cutting off their parental/familial connections. Even if the name of the father represents something demeaning or represents other religion, thats why the later sentence say you will be curse because no matter what that person is the father, it is not encouraged to cut familial ties with the parent unless that parent(father) are evil and abusive, but it will be much more honorable if you could forgive your parents mistakes. And even if lets say you don’t forgive your father, it would still be better to use his name because that is part of your history, your history is the one that mold you into who you are today. You should not denied your history, you should embrace it and use that to become the better version of yourself. Denying or erasing one’s history is not allowed. This hadith could also be put in a such a case like when a woman has a child with her ex husband but then she divorce and marry again, her child from her previous marriage should not change their last name into the name of her new husband. They should keep their biological father name in their last name, no matter who is the current husband of their mother, their biological father is still their father. It is not allowed to deny your own biological parent (in this case the father) intentionally. In islam we are taught to be respectful to our parents, its very frown upon when you mistreated your own parents or even outright denying them (in this case, changing your last name that contained your father’s name is view as denying him as your father)
      In the case of hadith and the teaching of islam, there are many ways to interpret it, you should ask an ulama (religion teacher) in your local mosques, you also has to make sure that his/her knowledges are adequate + credible, his/her everyday action has to shows kindness, peacefulness, and humbleness. As a muslim myself, i myself will only ask to be taught by a person who has shown me that he/she is a kind and humble person, just by interacting with him/her you will feel peace. Because if their actions does not show kindness, im afraid their interpretation could misled someone, and it is very easy to misled someone’s thoughts

    • @sy20777
      @sy20777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Lola Lolita if you don’t know the father of your children, you can. However i do not know the specific of your situation, so i’m afraid my advice is very limited and to be completely honest with you my knowledge is still far from perfect, so it is better if you ask a religion teacher (ulama) at your local mosque, since it is better to confide your situation in person rather via internet
