PSA, Bond Rings allow your character to gain SP from Arena Fights. Emblems do not. So if you are just a couple of SP away from a skill this could help.
@@thebatman8957 the Ring Chamber unlocks after chapter 4 and you need to use Bond Shards to buy them. You get most of the Bond shards from the achievements located in the cafeteria.
@@VirgoVyrus To clarify this further, this means you can give your units 10 exp and 5 sp per arena match (in maddening). The 5 sp isnt really all that impressive but if you focus all three you get 15 sp which isnt that much more impressive but im sure it adds up for the early game units lol
Also, upgrading tiered skills/forges are prorated in costs, so you can refine a weapon to +1 and that will reduce the cost of upgrading to +2. Same with inherited skills, so there is no reason to wait to upgrade stuff like these :D
Also, in regards to Anna: she is very flexible. If you keep her as a Warrior, she is one of the best users of the Radiant Bow. If you want to maximize her MAG, go with Sage. If you want to maximize Luck and thus her personal, go with High Priest. But she's very well-rounded and is always worth using.
I'll probably make her a high priest to try and get her luck up as high as possible before switching her back to warrior and giving her a radiant bow then.
@@jackmanleblanc2518 Sounds like a good setup. Just remember when you move to Warrior, MAG caps at 20, so you'll likely lose a lot of stat points there. (Although it still works fine with Radiant Bow).
@@jackmanleblanc2518 The Radiant Bow itself is good. Anna doesn't actually contribute a lot there. Fogado's promoted class caps at 28 MAG, and thus is technically the best user of the Radiant Bow. Warrior Anna is still good, but having used her in that class for a bit, I'm going to Second Seal into High Priest and just have Fogado use the Radiant Bow.
Extremely vital tip here: I’d recommend investing in forging Steel weapons, they end up lowering weight and I believe are the only weapons to do so, this means that with +5 you essentially got an Iron weapon in terms of weight but the power of a Silver Weapon which is massive for low-build units especially on Maddening.
@@JordyFidis silver weapons also show up later in the game, require higher weapon ranks and more materials. You're right though, and they're definitely worth it when you can forge them
@@MegaScytheman it's worth noting that Some characters will prefer silver weapons because of their naturally high Build stat too, so instead of going for a Steel +2 or 3 you can forge that steel weapon into a silver one
Am I the only one that feels like forging weapons is Cheating? Yeah it's just a game mechanic but it can like you just made someone with low str just straight up op like Yunaka
Lyns double ability is op. The AI treats them like a priority because they are always in a “killable” range. Easily distracts 4 to 5 enemies for a turn and if they don’t kill them free backup attacks for the Lyn user.
The Lyn ring is definitely the best ring in the game. The beauty of this game is that they don't require you to use any of the abilities if you don't want to.
8:17 small correction, her strength growth is 15, it's functionally 35 when you get her due to her class but when reclassed to a mage like you're suggesting it returns to 15
Finally someone mentions how broken the Iron Daggers, Radiant Bow and Killer Edge forged are, i feel like everyone just focused on effective weapons when there is also other very strong options. I personally think the Liberation sword at +5 + Marth engrave early on is also a good investment, since it's a very solid weapon and you can basically spam engages with Alear
If you have the FEH weapons, it's much better and considerably cheaper to forge a folkvangr to +2 than a liberation +5. Folkvangr +1 has the same stats as liberation +5, and folkvangr +2 surpasses it. All the FEH weapons are amazing for their weight, so if you haven't got them yet, you should. They're easy to get and are incredibly powerful early game and even still into late/end game
Pretty late but something I didn't notice at first is, if an inheritable skill has a better version (like stat+1, stat+2 and such), inheriting the low level one reduces the cost for the high level one(s) by the low level's cost, so it's worth for example, learning str+1 if your goal is to get, say, str+3. Same with skills like vantage, lunar brace, etc.
Wish this guide had been there before I hit chapter 10... Lost my ability to inherit canter and the ability to forge olwen's bond ring. Game is absolutely brutal in this regard :D Also for the Bond Ring exploit, you can also go into a story chapter and back out and get the same effect.
in fairness the bonus is completely lost now. When i bought the DLC i noticed an extra free dlc along side it. downloaded it and all of the mentioned items were there. . . Mind you I had up to that point never even touched Fire Emblem Heros.
Pretty helpful guide, especially with regards to how to beat use heavy weapons and maybe pairing Marth with Céline for a powerful Lodestar Rush. Also, now I have a better idea of which Emblems to engrave onto which weapons, since I personally thought most of the star reductions just weren't worth it.
I was able to get Dire Thunder fairly early and in my maddening run and it was one of the most essential skills to completing the game. Ivy was the only without an Emblem ring but was just as if not stronger than many of the other units with Emblem rings.
@@Kirbultra I think you’re mistaken. The bond ring that Leif has is of Olwen which is Dire Thunder and it only works for the Thunder tome. It specifically says (Excludes Elthunder and Thoron)
For the record the fixed growths on maddening thing is a first playthrough only thing, once you've beaten the game once you're allowed to choose between fixed and random growths when starting a new playthrough. Also worth noting that if you start on maddening for your first playthrough but later drop down to hard or normal, you'll still have fixed growths. The pre-Somniel maps on Maddening aren't very hard so if you're looking to do fixed growths on hard or normal without having to beat the game first, this is the way to do it.
Tip for Alcryst enjoyers ☺ Pop a +5 Killer Bow on him with a good crit engravement (I used Corrin) for a sweet sweet 80 crit + fairly regular Luna procs (from his unique class) thanks to his natural high Dex. It will let him shred just about anything (depending a little on Luna procs vs bulky enemies). I also gave him Avoid +25 from Marth to dodgetank and combined with Pair Up nothing could hurt him :)
Couple Notes: Promote Early - Another interesting engage attack option for Celine is if you make her a sniper or a thief she has a very high luck stat and respectable str, dex, and spd growths. You can pair her with Leif for a good chance to get 1,000g whenever you use his engage attack. Probably more meaningful on maddening than any other difficulty since you can't really farm for gold. I chose sniper since there are a lot of fliers plus she is a good candidate for the radiant bow. Donations - Brodia has half as many stages as all of the other nations so even though they go up by 2 points per donation tier you're still getting roughly the same benefit. That being said different stages give different amounts of materials per point so it would take a longer more in depth analysis to actually determine the best donation tiers for each nation. Early Firene stages give very little benefit like 20 iron and 1-2 steel per point but the 1st Brodia stages give like 60 iron and 2-4 steel per point (numbers from Maddening). Both Solm and Elusia give you very expensive items for the 1st 2 ranks of donations that instantly nets you back 50% of your investment before counting things like bond fragments and better stage drops. Forging - If you use the cost of metals in the flea market as a litmus then forging weapons is significantly more expensive than buying weapons. You should get enough free materials to be able to forge a couple of weapons but if at the end of the game you are using gold to buy ore from the flea market and you forged weapons earlier then you're ultimately wasting some amount of gold as it would've been cheaper to buy those weapons with gold and use the ore to refine them (or others) instead. Try and hold off on forging unless you get stuck if you want to be efficient and optimized.
@brubie I mean you're not going to get enough ore to refine all your main weapons to +5 so it doesn't hurt to avoid forging a little bit as that's more ore for refinements. That being said the game is easy enough even on maddening that it doesn't matter if you refine or forge or buy ore so it's mostly just an academic discussion.
@@ian59 oh you mean forging to get a different weapon instead of +1, sorry didn't realize that's what you meant. There's a few weapons I think forging can be good since you could get them really early like Levin sword
To build on forging: STEEL! Specifically, steel weapons have inherent crit rates. Forging steel is arguably the best use of resources, because as you forge, everything gets improved: might, hit, crit, possibly weight. The Steel Dagger, in particular, can hit something like a natural 60% crit rate when fully forged and given to a Thief or Wolf Knight.
But also some units that are better at letting others get kills (specifically archers and backups) benefit a lot from high hit rate and no crit rate. I think that a Silver bow for Alcryst and Fogado is way better
@@ilavain To be fair. thosr two need all oomph they can get... Fogado especially. His strength upon promoting was just.. sad. (He had about 13 strength, like holy crud, almost inusable) At least his retainers are decent enough, even if one was benched due to.. behavioral issues.
@@Aurirang As he is an archer, he never really needed to enemy phase and could choose his fights carefully. A good bow is all he needs. I'm using both Alcryst and Fogado and I will never bench neither of them
@@ilavain I benched both about 2-3 chaps after joining each. I tried hard on Fogado but having a mage with Elwind just blatantly outclasses Fogado sadly. Their only saving grace is that bows have a high base might, but as soon as tankier wyverns appear, and they like doing this in groups, they're down to two- or even just threeshotting them. And then afterwards having to huddle them in, because they're ridiculously squishy. I got better things to do on my iron mans than to coddle some none-delivering archers. Picking fights carefully is all well and nice, but if half the map is off limits because they can't even dent the enemy and keel over by mere sight of something sharp,, they're a liability and not an asset. I rather take a sturdier Louis and give them a good, oldfashioned silver-greatlance-whacking, which works on pretty much any old enemy, than trying to figure out on which enemy Fogado or Alcryst even manage to do some semblance of damage. Or i promote somebody with some decent strength and other stats to match to a bow-wielding class.
@@Aurirang I do think that 3-4 range is incredibly useful in maddening. Ofc it's way simpler to just use every tank you can have to never lose a unit, but in practice a single tank and reliable chip will be better than multiple tanks in a single chokepoint
Lot of good information here. Don't have much to add to base game stuff other than little tips of good combinations on things, or useful Bond rings etc. I will say that for the DLC stuff, do Tiki's paralogue asap. The Silver card and staves are really useful and her Starsphere skill works with fixed growths.
Something to note about second seals - they are not free. They do level up the character by 2, and you'll probably not get any stats for doing so. In short, they make you level up a little slower and don't really give you stats - they just change the stats you already have. I think this is worth keeping in mind because the second seal class change has to be really advantageous to justify it. Not only does it have to make that character a lot better, that character should be doing something no other character can do. Sure, you could turn Etie into an axe user... or you could just promote Diamant or use Jade or keep sticking it out with Boucheron or some combination of the 3. The latter is probably a better idea since they will grow a little faster and it will use less resources to accomplish the same thing. Early second sealing should be used with caution.
So based on that it is probably better to keep Anna as she is when recruited and then use a master seal to promote her directly into a Sage or High Priest?
@@Ryodraco it's also better this way because of growth rates. 9 levels of +25% magic growth is not worth the promoted growth rates and stat bonuses (esp. if you go into a high luck class like High Priest)
Can an Axe Fighter go straight into Sage/Hi Priest ? Isn't some class only promote to the advanced ones based on the basic class (i.e Sage, Mage Knight, Hi Priest can only promoted from Mage + required weapon proficiency)
@@ilavain ahh so basically for Anna I wanna go Fighter, Master Seal into Berserker, and then Second Seal immediately into Sage/Hi Priest (with required weapon proficiencies), thanks ! Man..., my 1st playthrough everyone is lvl 20 before promotion, me and my old FE habits since Sacred Stones~
15:31 I kinda wish I knew about that before since you lose both rings with Tome proficiency so if you ever wanted to reclass someone or get their tome level up for a promotion to a magic class, you’re kinda screwed until later
Yeah, it's kinda rough. My biggest gripe about the game atm is how weapon proficiency is handled, it feels fairly jank. I reclassed Anna to mage but then lost the rings so couldn't make her a sage because I hadn't thought to get her proficiency before then. Ended up making her a mage knight, with Levin sword +5 now and she's still a monster, but felt bad still
didnt learn anything but ive got a lot of hours myself already and frequent places where info like this is discussed and just had already learned it all. still a nice neat informative video with very helpful info to those who don't yet know it.
I have not started yet but this was very useful advice. Especially the extra rings from FEH. I redownloaded FEH just to do this lol had not played it in years.
15:00 yeah, Chloe has middling strength growth, but by the time you get the Steel Lance you can just build up your resources to convert one into a Flame Lance, which has a 10-15 might, scales with her magic stat, and has 1-2 range. No need to shore up her strength stat when you can just equip that.
I found another exploit that wasn’t mentioned in the video. For Qi adept units, they can really quickly increase their bond level with emblem rings and bracelets by using chain guard. Even if there are no units around it will automatically increase their bond level. You could take a unit fit bond level 1 to 4 in a single chapter by keeping the unit in the back line and just using chain guard with no one around. This also applies to specific rings and bracelets like Dimitri’s shield gambit, and Corrin’s Dragon vain ability. You can also do this to a limited degree with Lucina’s bond shield and Byleth’s instruct; but you have to be engaged to do this so you only have three turns. Also waste your engage meter so it would be best to do it if your unit can’t do anything else.
Thanks for the tips! I've definitely been slacking on weapon forging. And while Anna's been benched from day one in this first run-through, I read that she has ridonkulous mage-related stat growths so my next run I'm definitely going to push that angle.
I want to add something about "Bond ring pushing". Arena is also good at doing small pushes. Every pulled ring spends 2 rns for rarity and type. So if you have 50+ hit it will spend 2 rns/ 50- will spend 1 rn/crit rate will spend 1 rn/skill chance will spend 1 rn. This way you can not only push the ring, you can get new set of rings by pushing an odd number of rns. If you do not have a single S ring in all of your scouting- it's the fastest way to change the seed.
I'm surprised you never mentioned early Liberation+5. It's gotta be one of the best forges in the entire game. It's super cheap. Also Alear might be one of the few characters with over 1000 SP to get Canter before Chapter 10 without grinding.
@@ilavain Ultimately it depends on how slow you go and who you use more, but Alear should probably have first dibs on marth, and with a Liberation +2, then +3 and then +5 probably before Diamant even joins, it's not crazy to imagine Alear getting to over 1000 sp and probably cutting off the other characters due to how much they carry the game at that point. Diamant won't even get a chance to refine Killer Axe to +3 until Chapter 10, which is really what he needs to absolutely take over the game (with an Ike and Tomahawk found shortly after).
If you have the FEH weapons, Folkvangr +1 is the same as a liberation +5 in stats. It's much cheaper to do a +1 folkvangr than a +5 liberation. And since the only sword user early on is alear, it's much better to do that. A +2 folkvangr also isn't expensive and is still cheaper than +5 liberation while surpassing its stats. Unless you're really trying to fill your engage meter fast, or dont have the FEH weapons, i think you're better off using folkvangr.
Just gonna say something that saved me more times than I count is giving Jade a killer axe and the emblem of blazing. Turning my tank into one of my heaviest hitters was one of the best choices I made. Not having weapon durability really opened me up for more fun builds. In Three Houses I was always worried about a good weapon breaking and not having the material to repair it so I was very stingy with them. This game I thought of a crazy idea and went with it because I didn't have to worry about wasting my good weapons of the weaker enemies.
If you have dlc and are playing Maddening then I would honestly consider just buying lineage for all your units to increase their exp gain. You'll also gain more SP that way over time since SP gain and exp gain is tied. I'll be trying that next time since with Maddening's slow leveling I always felt under leveled near the end. You'll have to give up on canter until later most likely but none of my units had canter before the cutoff point and they seemed to do fine.
Can confirm, this is a great idea. The main reason being that Lineage is so incredibly cheap and that there's realistically never going to be 2 important skills on any unit at the same time in the early game. 150 SP is not going to make-or-break any of the ch10 skills for the cutoff point (like f.e. Canter) but it will give you a lot more xp in the long run as well as refund back its own cost pretty quickly. Though the addition of SP items in the 2nd DLC wave has made a big difference, because with those, you may actually get two core skills on a unit early on. _Or just slap Canter onto everyone lol_
@@skeletonwar4445 Yeah I slapped mentorship on Goldmary when I got her then gave her Edelgard for Liberation and she's gaining levels like crazy. I wanna get her up to level 5 fast before chapter 17 (taking her to paralogues right now) to give halberdier's pincer attack a fair shot
@@jackmanleblanc2518 Dude I've been trying to find someone to turn into a halberdier the whole time, cause pincer attack seems really strong in theory. Goldmary would be a great candidate, but I really don't wanna waste the only unit who can be a Hero without having to wear the dogshit Hero outfit. 😭
Little extra info on that to anyone who is confused. . . . *Minor Spoilers* Half way through the mission youll get 3 new units. The leader will give you Two Emblem rings. As with all Rings the New unit will receive one of them while Alear will unequip whatever bracelet they have to equip the Ring.
Also, I am a firm believer that it is more beneficial to to refine your steel weapons than it is on iron. Mainly because iron becomes inferior pretty quickly. The only real downside refining your steel early is the added base weight of the weapons versus iron and that steel can be hard to come by early on. But trading silver for steel as you said is super easy and I think you start with 20 silver with DLC installed. So maybe refining iron +1 or possibly +2 for certain weapons is OK, but I'd save those materials for steel weapons (like daggers/axes) to lower it's weight, increase damage, and sometimes to increase hit rate. These steel weapons will last you through half the game until brave/silver weapons become more available.
I wish I had seen your video before now. I adopted animals whenever could but did not know I was doing with them so chapter 23 just now adjusted to all dogs. Thx for the info =)
Another tip is the Weapon Proficiency bonuses from Emblem Rings only apply to unlocking classes. Hortensia's unique class has B rank in tomes but you can't boost it by bonding her with Celica or Miciah. No Thoron's or Excalibur's on her, learned that the hard way.
I think thats the only bad thing in this game.. (and no 2nd move for riders, i mean now they are more weak.. and 3rd field range for sniper) i dont have a and s rank weapons yet but u have so much freedom in this game and then some chars and classes are limited to ranks.. and first time that u cant lvl the ranks.. i mean in 3 houses u needed lessons for weapon ranks and in older games that lvled while using ^^ they could have let the old rank lvl system and give us just the option to learn more weapon skills with emblems.. i bet they hadnt enough time and the weapon rank lvl system was not rdy or buggy
@@animindbasiliskproductions9139 Nah, the weapon ranks being fixed on classes is very obviously part of the balancing. Take for example Berserker, Swordmaster, and Sniper. They're the only classes with a natural S rank in their respective weapons. And that's their main selling point. If Warriors could get S rank bows, there'd be zero reason to ever use a Sniper. If Heroes could get S rank in any of the two weapons, there'd be no reason to ever use a Halberdier, Swordmaster or Berserker. (Halberdier does actually have a useful passive, so it doesn't automatically get outclassed by Hero like the other two, just mostly.) Same for Wolf/Griffin Knight with an S in swords compared to Swordmaster, if you're trying the dodge tank angle. And even then, this is still mostly the case even with S ranks. Because the S rank weapons aren't strong enough to be worth using an otherwise worse class. For example: All regular Archer classes are ass compared to Warrior, cause they can use Longbows and Steel Bows, which is already more than enough.
@@skeletonwar4445 thats unnecesary ^^ it worked years with the old system, you could form your char like u wanted, some chars have some classes that are most suiteable for them, like shinon in radiant dawn, he was a sniper and sniper had the skill to attack 3rd field range, and all classes have different pros and cons, sniper is more dogdy than berserker but has lower def and str, berserker is faster than a wirrior and could have similar str but has lower def.. it was balanced, thats more like a nerf ^^ but thats all acceptable because i loved fire emblem since min 1 and im thankfull to get so many games, but sometimes they do a backsteps.. and also at end of a game, why should my chars not equip the most epic weapons? a fight between "gods" would be still hard ^^ ah btw but noone can say that its good that the 2nd move from riders that was always there is now limited to one emblem..
@@animindbasiliskproductions9139 Radiant Dawn/Path of Radiance classes are completely incomparable, because there's no free reclassing. Shinon will always be a sniper. There is no way to reclass him into a Warrior, so there's no reason to limit weapon ranks. Besides, Snipers having 3 range by default was never standard. That's something that only exists in Tellius and Gaiden. Usually archers get 3 range via a longbow, like in Engage. And yeah sure, Canto not being on riders by default is pretty weird, but it's an *inheritable* skill that's pretty cheap for its usefulness. So it's not "limited to one Emblem," but rather you can put it on anyone you want. A 3 range mage or archer with Canto is great.
@@skeletonwar4445 ok my fault radiant times is long ago ^^ i did remember wrong, maybe i got to luxery from 3 houses, if i dont remember right now it should be able to get every class u want and rank, maybe it feeled that free for me ^^ this changings shocked me a bit I thnk .. but nice to hear that u can get the "canto" skill (so 2nd move is called like this right?" but u need to waste a skill slot for it ^^ but any class can get it or?
Reply appreciate this video! Some of these are things I knew, but others I’m using for second playthrough because I want to optimize my units as best I can (best builds/classes for certain units would be a fun video if it’s not in the pipeline)
Yeah, "not that bad" is the understatement of the year. They're basically a step between Steel and Silver weapons, while having very strong passives *and* being D rank _and_ having low weight. They're insane.
Heads up the bond ring RNG tables also shift with Story and Standard Arena fights. The Arena fights are by far the fastest way to grind Bond rings though it's still very random. I've had 4 S- rank rings pop up in 6 pulls before but I've also had 1 pop up in an hour of resets.
Another weapon worth investing precious resources on is a Long Bow, if you equip it on a Warrior you will have a 3 range backup unit that most likely will join in chain ups if you placed them well. If you don't have a Warrior, I guess Alcryst or Fogato with Lucina ring could also benefit from this. I think a lot of people would rather give Lucina to Ivy though for Thunder chain ups :)
Maybe its silly of me, but I actually just kept Anna as a warrior and Clanne as a mage knight. Maybe I'm just lucky, but they've both grown into versatile phys/mag attackers, especially once I got a magic bow.
Anna is _fine_ as a Warrior because she can use the Radiant Bow, which is by itself already a really strong weapon and there's not really many good users for it. The hurricane axe, while also scaling off mag, isn't that great because Anna is likely not surviving the hits she takes before attacking, but still an option sometimes. Clanne I got no idea, have always benched the mf instantly.
Don’t know if it’s obscure or obvious but my favorite way to level up early weak units (framme, Jean, Anna) is strapping on Micaiah’s ring and using great sacrifice every chance you get. Gives a MASSIVE amount of XP when used and let’s Anna and jean hang in the back and heal until they’re strong enough to do anything
small tip i just found that i haven’t seen mentioned: you don’t actually have to talk to your units after a battle to get their bond fragments. if you just Depart, it’ll give you all of the fragments you would’ve gotten automatically.
It's so easy to make a high crit squad. Killing weapons up to at least +3 (+5 if you can) plus a few engravings make it easy to have multiple units with standard 50+ crit. There are a few units who are really good with high crit too, especially people from Solm, Yunaka and Anna. Put Alacrity on some of the faster units and it's pretty hard to lose - especially with Timerra and her Sandstorm ability since her personal class has high defense growth anyway)
"Bond Ring Pushing" huh? Thats a nice name for the exploit. Knowing that I was playing on a save file where I couldve optimized better with the pushing exploit i wasnt aware of when i started bugged me so much that i restarted lmao. Then I learned through that comment thread at 5:01 that it was the number of enemies and green units that advances the seed and... well that didnt get me to restart but its really cool info to know! If anything else could get me to restart its my desire to optimize SP gain (using micaiah) and not spending my money on Firene donations but instead on forging weapons. The more i talk about it, and the more videos i watch about how i can optimize, the more i want to restart again im never going to finish this game... 😔
8:45 I'm so confused on what you mean by "technically you gave her a 100% magic growth" was that just a roundabout way to say "she only misses 4 magic level ups on her way to level 20 and 2 spirit dusts covers those"? Because I don't think they literally change the growths unless I'm mistaken
You should have also added in your SP section that Emblem rings/bracelets give you 100% SP. While Bond Rings only offer 50% SP gain. SP is gained in the same way EXP is. With an Emblem Ring/Bracelet, that's 1 SP per 1 EXP gained. With a Bond Ring, that's only 0.5 SP per 1 EXP gained. No ring/bracelet equipped? No SP.
I don't think I have the skill or brain to do a maddening run, but my god is that info about promoting going to be super useful for my future hard mode playthrough.
I would say going to the bulletin board in Somniel to trade in achievements for Bond Fragments is a big one. Bond Fragments aren't numerous in the early game but the achievements give you a bunch. Of course I realized that around chapter 14...
*Fire Emblem Heroes* crossover weapons and Bond Rings *are no longer available to new players.* That DLC was only available to obtain for a limited time. Those who have gotten it *probably* won't lose it as long as the Nintendo Switch eShop remains operational, as it was obtained via an eShop download code, which means it likely remains available for redownload by people who already redeemed it. *However,* I have not archived nor deleted my updates for *Fire Emblem Engage* since the event ended, so *I do not know for sure* if it can be redownloaded by those who have redeemed their codes. After all, games have been taken off online storefronts, including the eShop, in the past; it can probably be done for DLC, too. [And seeing as the codes where given out during a free event, and did not require funding for the original aqusition, if it is pulled from the eShop, existing owners will likely not obtain a refund or compensation of any kind.]
@@Faerghast Is it class based or doesn't matter which class i reclass them to? Like, will a Berserker Citrine still get alot of magic but no strength or will the game take into account what kinda clss growths get added?
One thing to note, on maddening, donations are a waste since in total you get maybe 4 skirms. You can just buy the crafting materials later on. Solm imo is only worth investing due to the S rank axe you get. (Only a rank axe that isn't a smash weapon)
Gettig the first rank on the green land is a valid thing though, as it gives 5 of all veggies and fruits. Which is VERY helpfull in cooking for tough missions. a speed or two (if lucky) can mean the world in fire emble after all. Edit: never let Vander cook though... It was PAIN
The first levels of Firene, Elusia and Solm are fine to do. They provide enough material from the post-battle scraps to be worth it. Otherwise yes, waste of money.
9:25 I would like to make a correction here. You said “when a unit with backup is in melee range” but this is only PARTIALLY correct. There are 2 caveats. 1: the backup unit is able to attack from their current position, meaning you don’t need to be adjacent and can use Tomahawk, Hand-axe, or whatever 2 range weapon from a diagonal or 2 space range and you will still get the dual attack. Lucina gives an enhance version that (skill version without her equipped) gives a 35-70% chance to cause the dual attack so long as the target is within their threat range, meaning if you have 5 move and 2 range, you can dual attack up to 7 tiles away.
Giving Fogado Lucina is kind of fun experiment too. His Cupido class can move 6, and if you equip him with a longbow, it is 9 range. I haven't exclusively tested it if it's actually 9 range, but Fogado is doing some work with those dual attacks.
@@MUNMOMUU I can confirm that it definitely works on up to 8 range. I have Lucina ring to Merrin. It’s hilarious because dual attack bypasses defense and can still proc poison. Meaning she easily puts poison on any enemies you attack in a massive area. Also excellent for quickly stacking up poison on tanky bosses.
Quite a helpful guide! I wonder how you feel about specific engage rings. I've felt somewhat mixed about rings like Lucina and Leif, which have very helpful extremes (Hero Lapis + Lucina with Dual Assist+ and Dual Support is dumb) but can sometimes feel... ehhhh
Leif is pretty darn good on a class with two weapons which are not axes. Lucina... well.. I mean, you can inherit the Assist+ on everybody and cause some funny scenes that way.. otherwhise she feels very 'meh'. I think Lyn is one of the funny ones though. Getting a crapload of speed (especially on a slow unit) is quite funny especially on bond 20, where the assault++ and double treshold are the same anyway.
2:00 so that’s why I kept getting the same level ups…I thought the fixed growth thing was exclusively for ng+/second runs, not maddening and second runs
via the lack of important knowledge regarding proficiencies disappearing after chapter 10, I was left with no choice but to make Anna a monk master, and I have to admit.. it's pretty damn sick. She uses the good, fast fists and literally never gets hit. luck stat seems to be as high as the high priest, and has a WAAAY better class ability as well.
Panette + Wrath + Killing Weapon+5 Engraved for max crit = an insane amount of crit borderline 100%. (this could be a hand axe or even thunder) coupled with a Lethality ring, she suddenly one taps 30% of what she fights no matter what...
My Panette is a goddess of war. Killer axe +5 with Eirika engrave to patch up her hit chance, equipping Wrath and Vantage as skills and Roy's emblem for Hold Out; so long as I'm aware of ranged foes she can oneshot whole armies on enemy phase without having to worry about anything, as she typically hits 100 hit and above 95 crit.
@@Kirbultra 100% crit is still very possible. Lindon and Panette especially can very easily hit it with Wrath + crit engraved Killer weapon. Now is it good? Not really, no. But it's possible.
Hey so here's this big tip about prof or proficiencies So all characters can learn any type of weapons and magic depending on how far you bond with your emblem rings. To unlock them proficiency that will highlight to white. Well do you know there's a blue highlight on each characters? Well that's basically there prefered or there best weapon type they use. So example: if you look at Anna: she's an axe user from the start but you noticed her prefer weapon is bow. So let's say you changed her to Warrior, we know that class prof is Axe and Bow but the rank of it is A on Axe and C on Bow. But for Anna it's A on Axe and B on Bow. So basically the blue prof increase the rank by one on there prefer proficiency. Hope that helps when choosing classes you favored 🙌
something even more important but related to that. not every class can get the boost for every weapon. Hero doesnt have S rank in swords, but if you put someone with Blue Swords prof in Hero their Sword doesnt go from A to S, because Hero's sword prof ignores the blue prof bonus.
Is it true that items like Seraph Robe, Energy Drop, Spirit Dust, etc., raise a unit's growth rate as well as the one-time +2/5? I wasn't aware of that! 8:46
No, what he's saying is: Since 10% is only +1 every 10 levels, giving some one a stat booster effectively gives them +10% growth over the 19 level ups they get in that class. They're not actually getting a boost to their growth, but the stat booster will make it seem that way by the time they hit level 20.
For the bound rings seed you can use story chapter to it work i got some s rank rings from using chapter 10 story and I also got enough to mend a S rank dire thunder
What's your opinion on maddening mode for engage? I normally don't play on anything higher than normal, but i decided to play engage on hard classic since normal seemed a little bit easy for me. Some people have suggested i play on maddening mode as well but I've heard horror stories about lunatic/maddening modes from previous titles. And that's keeping me from really wanting to try it, since I've heard you have to play a certain way and only use certain characters for maddening. Unless im mistaken
Maddening has always been and will always be the most restrictive mode. It’s not meant to encourage experimentation but to test game knowledge. So yes you will be forced to play a certain way, at least for the beginning. Compared to most fe games this one is among the better balanced. But it does come with the unfortunate flaw of forcing characters to be benched as the game progresses. You get cut xp and can’t farm skirmishes. So new units end up almost always better.
@@SH1NK1R01 Well I'm not TOO attached to the starter characters. I just finished chapter 9, and so far the only characters i had to bench were the twins, boucheron and Alfred? I might have to get rid of celine soon since she didn't get any magic from her level ups, and Chloe too since she's not really doing much. Honestly i think that's what my main problem is, I'm i don't want to bench characters i like. While on the other hand I don't know if later characters are going to be worth investing in, like with the units i got from chapter 7 through 9. Diamant and citrine are the only ones I've used so far. 😓
@@hitsumaru100 I'm in a similar boat, not wanting to bench characters. Another problem you might face, as I currently am on Chapter 15, is that I've got about 9 lvl 20 base class characters and am just sitting waiting for more master seals.
@@RockR277 yeah that's what im worried about, i know it's better to promote early. But so far I've only gotten 3 master seals that I already used, and second seals that I don't think anyone im using actually needs.
The Feh weapons were such a boon. Heck I found the Folkvanger more useful than Alear’s main weapon. It has stronger stats especially when upgraded. That really the effects are the only thing meh thing about them
@@regulusking4299 oh for sure. It’s pretty strong and stays strong. I’m just saying that since liberation can plus 5 super early it ends up holding up longer than it might initially seem.
@@SH1NK1R01 maybe it just didn’t feel that way bc the early game isn’t the most difficult, so upgrading Liberation doesn’t really add much. Really the difficulty spike starts at chapter 11 which by that point Folkvanger keeps up better
This is helpful, but it also makes me feel kinda dumb because I don't understand half of what you're saying. I don't even know how all the stats work, and what is good or bad to improve for them. Got any Fire Emblem for Dummies?
For fixed growths on Maddening, are the growths predetermined when you click new game or is it a set thing where we could have a chart eventually that shows what each level would be in each class?
basically for maddening if you had 40% strength growth you get +.4 str per level. if it rounds up you will get the +1 after youre above .5 otherwise it wont happen til you pass 1.0
No it doesn't. But because 80% of 20 is 16. She's get 16 magic levels from lvl 1-20. 2 spirit dusts fill the level ups that don't give magic, since growths are fixed on Maddening! (Assuming you reach level 20 in sage) if you reclassed a second time after capping sage then it's back to 16 levels
So like i spent something like 6 hours resetting for the deirdre ring when i was only pulling 10 rings at a time only to not get it, accidentally saving over my file, and decided to just replay the first few chapters. I got it in about 30 minutes when i started pulling 20 per reset the second time around. Does the game have better odds on later seeds or something?
I'm currently doing a maddening playthrough, and I wonder, when I beat the final boss, will skirmishes appear on the map or the final boss is my only way of farming exp?
In regards to Anna.... are you saying that it's better NOT to reclass into Mage before promoting to Sage? Or are you saying that because Second Seals are harder to come by? Because I reclassed her into Mage the moment I got her (I received a Second Seal in one my my Relay wins), so she leveled as a Mage for 15 levels before I promoted her to Sage. Had I kept her as axe and promoted her to Berserker, then Second Seal over to Sage, wouldn't she have a lot of wasted points in Strength?
Yeah I’m someone who always waits until lvl 20 to promote my classes and I regret that in this game 😂 can’t wait to play more with class changes in future play thrus
So the bond ring pushing exploit, do you summon those rings, reset the game, then go to a paralogue map and go in and out until the number of enemies you count is close to how many rings you had to summon then summon more rings based on how many rings you had to summon minus the amount of enemies you count?
• Enter a battle with the prep screen open, as if you’re about to charge into battle. • Exit the map. Save at this point. • Then go to the Somniel’s Ring Room and experiment. • If you don’t find your ring, restart the game. You should be on the map, at a battle destination. Click on the destination so that the battle prep screen opens, exit the map and save, then go back to the Somniel for different results. Rinse, repeat.
i would reccomend checking out Choops' video if youre still having trouble. I think he explains it pretty thoroughly and has visuals to go with what he is saying.
Wait, I just realized that you said "fixed stat gain", but then suggested promoting early for better growths. Which is it? Does promoting early improve those fixed growths? Or does promoting early not do anything to stats due to those fix growth?
Imagine the growth stat as a percentage that fills a bar. Someone with a 50% str growth fills the bar by 50% every time they level up. Every time the bar reaches 100%, you get +1 in that stat and the bar goes back to 0%. So someone with a 50% str growth, will get +1 str every two levels. Jean's passive simply doubles his class growths and Tiki adds a flat +15% to all growths. They both work normally.
@@DarkGraid Yeah I was thinking that the leaders would give you bond rings before you get Byleth's ring, probably for the best it doesn't work that way.
sadly no. i was hoping it would since each emblem ring only lets you create bond rings for 10 chars from their game and all of the games afaik have way more than 10 recruits so the extras would have let you get bond rings for others who werent on the emblem rings.
the game tracks your total levels internally. to promote anna you would need to get her to Axe 10. Axe 10 cant promote to sage, so to reach sage you can promote to berserker then second seal to sage (since promoted classes ignore class requirements when second sealing into other promoted classes). one could second seal her first into mage, but she comes at (iirc) level 5 and second sealing her to mage forces you to level her to 10 in mage before reaching sage, so when you do reach sage that way, your internal level is 5 higher and you will thus level much slower. also it takes longer which means youre spending more levels in classes with unpromoted growth rate boosts. thats why you promote asap and unless you can naturally promote into the class you want, you always master seal up, then second seal, never seconds sealing first.
*Further explanation on Bond Ring Exploit from the comments:*
Main Story Mission do effect bond ring placement as well! You just need to sit through cutscenes. Thank you!

PSA, Bond Rings allow your character to gain SP from Arena Fights. Emblems do not.
So if you are just a couple of SP away from a skill this could help.
How do you get bond rings I'm completely new to the franchise and have no clue where to get anything other then weapons from the dude.
how long is the fire emblem engage fire emblem heroes rings lasts? 🤔 I’m curious
The 5 sp isnt really all that impressive but if you focus all three you get 15 sp
which isnt that much more impressive but im sure it adds up for the early game units lol
Another note on forging and engraving; the engraving cost increases as the weapon is forged so always engrave first then forge afterwards
Good advice, I was wondering why it costed more. Thanks!
omg ty
Also, upgrading tiered skills/forges are prorated in costs, so you can refine a weapon to +1 and that will reduce the cost of upgrading to +2. Same with inherited skills, so there is no reason to wait to upgrade stuff like these :D
through some testing with killer axe for Panette i havent seen this to be true. Are you sure?
im doing no gear upgrade no rings maddening
Also, in regards to Anna: she is very flexible. If you keep her as a Warrior, she is one of the best users of the Radiant Bow. If you want to maximize her MAG, go with Sage. If you want to maximize Luck and thus her personal, go with High Priest. But she's very well-rounded and is always worth using.
Also cute, don't forget that.
@@drygnfyre Oof, I didn't know that. Hopefully radiant bow Anna will still be good then. She needs to get kills to use her personal after all.
Extremely vital tip here:
I’d recommend investing in forging Steel weapons, they end up lowering weight and I believe are the only weapons to do so, this means that with +5 you essentially got an Iron weapon in terms of weight but the power of a Silver Weapon which is massive for low-build units especially on Maddening.
Or FEH weapons, they are free, low investment early, only -2-3 Mt from maxed out Silver weapons, AND got skills to boot~
Silver weapons do too and have better might and hit rates than Steel at the cost of 5-10 crit and some weight.
Hilarious with a high-def unit like Louis, and they just take no damage lol
@@BlueCrimson10 That's actually worse, cause the enemy will then just ignore them
The Lyn ring is definitely the best ring in the game. The beauty of this game is that they don't require you to use any of the abilities if you don't want to.
@@skeletonwar4445 they only ignore Louis on Maddening.
the doubles are espically nice when fighting dragons.
Honestly, I'm so happy Anna's Usage in Engage in comparison to 3H is significantly more meta.
She was bantha poo-doo in 3H lmao. I dunno why they made her with zero supports and awful growths.
@@Floydpink68 Highly Agree, it was a terrible move on their part. Would’ve made the DLC worth it giving Anna her own backstory there.
FYI, if you haven't unlocked any Paralogues yet you can use the story to advance the RNG seeds. It's just slower due to cutscene skipping.
Yeah it works on any map that isnt a skirmish (or a replay of one of the DLC paralouges)
Is there a list of how many enemy units are in each story / paralogue map to tune the RNG pushing?
8:17 small correction, her strength growth is 15, it's functionally 35 when you get her due to her class but when reclassed to a mage like you're suggesting it returns to 15

Finally someone mentions how broken the Iron Daggers, Radiant Bow and Killer Edge forged are, i feel like everyone just focused on effective weapons when there is also other very strong options.
I personally think the Liberation sword at +5 + Marth engrave early on is also a good investment, since it's a very solid weapon and you can basically spam engages with Alear
@@TARDISES Hello
If you have the FEH weapons, it's much better and considerably cheaper to forge a folkvangr to +2 than a liberation +5. Folkvangr +1 has the same stats as liberation +5, and folkvangr +2 surpasses it.
All the FEH weapons are amazing for their weight, so if you haven't got them yet, you should. They're easy to get and are incredibly powerful early game and even still into late/end game
@@Floobdoop Appreciate the heads up
Pretty late but something I didn't notice at first is, if an inheritable skill has a better version (like stat+1, stat+2 and such), inheriting the low level one reduces the cost for the high level one(s) by the low level's cost, so it's worth for example, learning str+1 if your goal is to get, say, str+3. Same with skills like vantage, lunar brace, etc.
Wish this guide had been there before I hit chapter 10... Lost my ability to inherit canter and the ability to forge olwen's bond ring. Game is absolutely brutal in this regard :D
Also for the Bond Ring exploit, you can also go into a story chapter and back out and get the same effect.
Without this guide I wouldn't have even realized there was a bonus for having Fire Emblem Heroes. I have not opened the app in years
in fairness the bonus is completely lost now.
Also, now I have a better idea of which Emblems to engrave onto which weapons, since I personally thought most of the star reductions just weren't worth it.
engravings are great for axes since you only lose 1-2 mt but actually get 100 hit rate.
Just got started on the game recently and had a lot of questions
You answered em all here, this video's a godsend
Thanks, Ghast
I was able to get Dire Thunder fairly early and in my maddening run and it was one of the most essential skills to completing the game. Ivy was the only without an Emblem ring but was just as if not stronger than many of the other units with Emblem rings.
Uhh Leif has a bond ring that turns any thunder tome to a brave Weapon that’s overall better than dire thunder
If that is the case that is awesome, a feature that should have been added in since fates really.
@@Yangblaze11 it was first added in Path of Radiance actually, and never came back until now

Couple Notes:
Promote Early - Another interesting engage attack option for Celine is if you make her a sniper or a thief she has a very high luck stat and respectable str, dex, and spd growths.
Especially with dogs, buying ore with gold is really unnecessary and you can forge plenty with just the natural ore you get from maps.
@brubie
I mean you're not going to get enough ore to refine all your main weapons to +5 so it doesn't hurt to avoid forging a little bit as that's more ore for refinements.
Bond ring pushing and manipulating my way to the full collection now. Thanks for the info!
Hey
I just found out about that stupid card. Now I have to hope a skirmish lands on her map
@@surprise_electrical9283 I wanna say you can replay them whenever you want
@@ValensEXP You can, since the recent update.
@@spikygamer987 any advanced class can second seal into any other advanced class! (well, based on your proficiencies anyway)

Not to mention the only dagger and staff proficiency rings . Made it so I couldn't go sage Anna and had to default to mage> mage cav(axe)
Yeah, it's kinda rough. My biggest gripe about the game atm is how weapon proficiency is handled, it feels fairly jank.
I reclassed Anna to mage but then lost the rings so couldn't make her a sage because I hadn't thought to get her proficiency before then. Ended up making her a mage knight, with Levin sword +5 now and she's still a monster, but felt bad still
@@Akinon93 Weapon prof. is why Leif got mistreated imo with his emblem skills

50% mag dex and spd growths and thats before class boosts! with Tiki she can hit nearly 100% in them!
In my experience, Diamant got Canter effortlessly. You can also easily get canter on the unit you use Micaiah on
@@ilavain Ultimately it depends on how slow you go and who you use more, but Alear should probably have first dibs on marth, and with a Liberation +2, then +3 and then +5 probably before Diamant even joins, it's not crazy to imagine Alear getting to over 1000 sp and probably cutting off the other characters due to how much they carry the game at that point. Diamant won't even get a chance to refine Killer Axe to +3 until Chapter 10, which is really what he needs to absolutely take over the game (with an Ike and Tomahawk found shortly after).
I was able to get canter on alear right after Jean paralauge! On hard difficulty
Yeah I had canter on like 3 or 4 characters with only one skirmish grind before chapter 10
I remember my brother begging me to see Byleth use relics, and I had to ruin his day because most relics could'nt be repaired easily
A tip regarding Chapter 11 and the DLC Emblems: Don't give 1 to Alear if you want to maximize the amount of characters with Emblems
Little extra info on that to anyone who is confused. . . . *Minor Spoilers*
Half way through the mission youll get 3 new units. The leader will give you Two Emblem rings. As with all Rings the New unit will receive one of them while Alear will unequip whatever bracelet they have to equip the Ring.
Outstanding video, finally a video with useful, helpful tips.
Thank you!! This was truly helpful!
Extremely well made video! Thanks for the tips :D
(Halberdier does actually have a useful passive, so it doesn't automatically get outclassed by Hero like the other two, just mostly.)
Same for Wolf/Griffin Knight with an S in swords compared to Swordmaster, if you're trying the dodge tank angle.
And even then, this is still mostly the case even with S ranks. Because the S rank weapons aren't strong enough to be worth using an otherwise worse class.
For example: All regular Archer classes are ass compared to Warrior, cause they can use Longbows and Steel Bows, which is already more than enough.
@@skeletonwar4445 thats unnecesary ^^ it worked years with the old system, you could form your char like u wanted, some chars have some classes that are most suiteable for them, like shinon in radiant dawn, he was a sniper and sniper had the skill to attack 3rd field range, and all classes have different pros and cons, sniper is more dogdy than berserker but has lower def and str, berserker is faster than a wirrior and could have similar str but has lower def.. it was balanced, thats more like a nerf ^^ but thats all acceptable because i loved fire emblem since min 1 and im thankfull to get so many games, but sometimes they do a backsteps..
and also at end of a game, why should my chars not equip the most epic weapons? a fight between "gods" would be still hard ^^
ah btw but noone can say that its good that the 2nd move from riders that was always there is now limited to one emblem..
Dire thunder & Thunder+5 & Ike engrave is a godsend combo.
Looking back after many playthroughs, Citrinne is criminally undervalued. So many people early on wrote her off but she hits like a tank
Reply appreciate this video! Some of these are things I knew, but others I’m using for second playthrough because I want to optimize my units as best I can (best builds/classes for certain units would be a fun video if it’s not in the pipeline)
Lucina's ring on a dagger unit is also nice, as the chain attacks will also inflict poison
3:30 "the weapons they give aren't even that bad", me who's been maining alear with a +1 marth engraved folkvangr for the first 12 chapters
Yeah, "not that bad" is the understatement of the year.
They're basically a step between Steel and Silver weapons, while having very strong passives *and* being D rank _and_ having low weight.
They're insane.
Thx you so much for your tips, very useful!
Thank you for the tips, brother.
Also by cooking
What are the steps like? I still don't understand how to do the bond ring exploit
I love your videos, they are the best in the franchise
It's so easy to make a high crit squad. Killing weapons up to at least +3 (+5 if you can) plus a few engravings make it easy to have multiple units with standard 50+ crit. There are a few units who are really good with high crit too, especially people from Solm, Yunaka and Anna. Put Alacrity on some of the faster units and it's pretty hard to lose - especially with Timerra and her Sandstorm ability since her personal class has high defense growth anyway)
Get skill wrath and with high hp and you be almost crit all the time
@@DrkMegaman pretty much. It works really well on a few characters, especially Panette
The more i talk about it, and the more videos i watch about how i can optimize, the more i want to restart again
im never going to finish this game...
It was just a roundabout way to say that, yes.
No SP.
bingo.
oh…
I don't think I have the skill or brain to do a maddening run, but my god is that info about promoting going to be super useful for my future hard mode playthrough.
I would say going to the bulletin board in Somniel to trade in achievements for Bond Fragments is a big one. Bond Fragments aren't numerous in the early game but the achievements give you a bunch.
Of course I realized that around chapter 14...
well thanks im at 22 xD
I just clicked it you received 68000 bond fragments....
*Fire Emblem Heroes* crossover weapons and Bond Rings *are no longer available to new players.*
That DLC was only available to obtain for a limited time.
I recently played through it and its still on the eshop
Im happy Intelligent systems knows their fire emblem fan base love the tactical nuke characters and continue to add them into their new titles. 😄
8:28, @Faerghast, how does giving Anna two Spirit Dusts bring her to 100% Growth Rate? Do Stat boosts in this game affect growth rates as well?
Question on the 1st tip.
Is it fixed to whatever is rolled at the time the seed of your character is set, or is it permanent set for ever run?
nope. they're fixed to their *actual* character growths internally. no RNG seed. Purely growths.
@@Faerghast huh that's... Interesting it's like a more refined version of set mode of path of radiance I like it.
@@Faerghast Is it class based or doesn't matter which class i reclass them to?
Like, will a Berserker Citrine still get alot of magic but no strength or will the game take into account what kinda clss growths get added?
@@Aurirang it will be based on class. berserker gives +30% str growth, so that should give you an extra +1 str every 3 or so levels.
I made Clanne a sword mage knight and gave him Levin sword. He destroys everything with that. Engraved it with an emblem that boosts crit too
One thing to note, on maddening, donations are a waste since in total you get maybe 4 skirms.
@@Aurirang lucina has a better chain guard that blocks all attacks for 3/4 turns. She is invaluable on maddening

Does anyone know the song at 2:10? I feel like I know the song but stuck on the tip of my tongue
I miss fates where 100 percent crit was possible with oden and opienia
@@Kirbultra 100% crit is still very possible. Lindon and Panette especially can very easily hit it with Wrath + crit engraved Killer weapon.
Now is it good? Not really, no. But it's possible.
Sorry, slightly off-topic but how do you get that leif outfit @7:38 ?
amiibo gazebo can let you unlock (a very limited amount) of outfits based on previous MCs.
Hey so here's this big tip about prof or proficiencies
So all characters can learn any type of weapons and magic depending on how far you bond with your emblem rings.
Is the feh limited time cuz I did the exact thing and it did not appear
Is it true that items like Seraph Robe, Energy Drop, Spirit Dust, etc., raise a unit's growth rate as well as the one-time +2/5? I wasn't aware of that! 8:46
No, what he's saying is: Since 10% is only +1 every 10 levels, giving some one a stat booster effectively gives them +10% growth over the 19 level ups they get in that class. They're not actually getting a boost to their growth, but the stat booster will make it seem that way by the time they hit level 20.
@@Eric-vg1fl Ah gotcha, because of fixed growths. I guess it was just worded a bit awkward.
16:08 Why would I need bond rings when I can just have the ability to cry? Because I'm not emotionally prepared for Chapter 10.
@@RockR277 check the shop. Most of the master seals are in the shop. Only a few are given from enemy drops
That really the effects are the only thing meh thing about them
It’s just too expensive to forge early. Compared to liberation that you can plus 5 by the brodia map.
@@SH1NK1R01 maybe early game, but mid to late game I found it better
I have a dodge tank in Lapis. inherited Pair Up on her and its is an absolute GODSEND on keeping her alive
Could you please elaborate more on how to get the fae bond rings?
08:47 do permanent stat items affect growth rates too? If so, I didn't know that
No it doesn't.
3:35 what is Fay? How do I open Fay?
Fire emblem heroes game on the mobile store 💀
@@zekdom thanks
i would reccomend checking out Choops' video if youre still having trouble. I think he explains it pretty thoroughly and has visuals to go with what he is saying.
@@BIGstonks much appreciated
Wait, I just realized that you said "fixed stat gain", but then suggested promoting early for better growths.
Which is it? Does promoting early improve those fixed growths? Or does promoting early not do anything to stats due to those fix growth?
So the fixed stat gains per level for maddening, how does it factor skills like Jeans personal skill or Tikis inherited Starsphere?
Imagine the growth stat as a percentage that fills a bar.
Someone with a 50% str growth fills the bar by 50% every time they level up.
Every time the bar reaches 100%, you get +1 in that stat and the bar goes back to 0%.
So someone with a 50% str growth, will get +1 str every two levels.
Jean's passive simply doubles his class growths and Tiki adds a flat +15% to all growths. They both work normally.
@@skeletonwar4445 thx for that
I WISH I knew about the stat stuff you showed with Anna earlier
Celine marth is something I had never thought of
I don't have the DLC, do the bracelets let you create bond rings too?
No, the bracalets doesn't have bond rings. I suppose it's because we have already bond rings of their stories with Marth and Byleth
Can anyone please explain a bit more about the second classing? I didnt quite understand why he forwent mage towards sage with the second seal.
the game tracks your total levels internally. to promote anna you would need to get her to Axe 10.
@@saphcal thank you for the explanation, really appreciate it👍
How do we know what the growth for units are?
how did you figure out that you needed 80 to get dimitri? if I wanted S Claude how many would that be?
I assume he just saved, burned 8000 bond fragments, found the ring he was looking for, then reloaded.
Wish I new the promote stuff earlier, well that’s for my next run
Well that explains why my Anna gains >10 Exp each kill. I've reclassed her 3 times atm but she began at around 17-18 as Axe Fighter
