im late to the party here, but i may as well give my synopsis on my maddening run, any me endgame team i reclassed my Alear into Bow knight, and paired up with Roy, the extra mobility, and utility of having, as you said, one of the best units being a bow unit was unparalleled, plus Hold out on the guy who game overs if he dies is always a nice safety net for emergencies i kept Kagetsu as a swordmaster, but rather than marth i gave him Chrom, and inherited alacrity and lunar brace, add on a crit engrave on his wo dao and you have the monster known as Critgetsu, turning 9x2 into 36*2 with Chrom's brute Force skill, and when nobody was in range for him to kill, because he could kill ANYONE, he had rally spectrum to give allies nearby just a little extra stats Citrinne was another MVP, i went for the Soren build you gave pandreo, only difference is i gave Citrinne Hold out off of roy as well, that way she could keep herself in the fight as long as she was one tapping her enemies, no matter how much damage one opponent did, she wasn't invulnerable by ANY mean, but she made for a good tank against more res-weak knights, or wind-weak fliers but eventual when Veyle took soren's bracelt from her, i swapped her to using the Celica ring instead. on the last map however, i had her engage with alear to use the dragon fist art, and MELT sombron's health Alfred was in the camp of units i like so much, i was forcing them, and to make him work, i gave him the best pairing i could think of, Ike. with laguz friend and golden lotus, he had a chance to only take 1/4 damage from any physical attack, making him nigh unkillable, even by cavalry effective weapons i gave the Miciah ring to hortensia, due to her class' ability to sometimes not use staves, allowing me to go for some simply disgusting plays, such as warping in an entire squad to clear out a particularly nasty room from within i tried using Anna long term, but once Mauvier joined i swiftly replaced her with him, as she was falling behind in combat stats, slap byleth onto him for a nice +10 dex rally to patch up any shaky hitrates, and you got a passable offense unit with incredible support Clanne is the second unit in the camp of 'i like you, so i WILL make you work' which i accoplished by making him a objectively worse Yunaka, thief reclass, corrin ring, you know how it is, zelkov or yunaka do his job better, but i just enjoy him as a character Timerra was my big investment unit, needing quite a bit of work to get off the ground, but once she was set, she went off to the races with the edelgard bracelet, sandstorm is able to deal absurd damage, then add in all the times she is able to attack, and its just plain scary i reclassed Pandreo into a martial master, while the extra staff unit is nice, that wasn't his main job, his job was to abuse the Qi adept bonus on Lucina's ring, to give 4 allies near him garunteed blocked damage every combat, i called it 'The immortal Dance party' of course his contributions via dual assist were valuable as well, but that was moreso an added bonus rather than the intended purpose Lapis, Rosado, and saphir all fell into the same catagory, hero dual assist support. they gave everyone a chance at 2 chain attacks per person, just by being nearby of course, each with their own emblem to give them slight niches as well, Lapis with eirika to make use of her incredible spd when she initiates with a brave sword, Rosado got Lyn to stall with clones, use astra storm, and give himself just a little more chain attack damage, and Saphir got Tiki to give someone else an extra life bar once Veyle hit the Team, she usurped Soren's bracelet, took hold out from roy, and did Citrinne's job, but better. not much else to say for her really and that pretty much sums up my maddening team
I left Kagetsu as a his basic class during my first playthrough, tended to combine him with Marth, or Lucina, and then upgraded his wo dao so he became an unhittable crit machine Though tbf, I am new to the series
@@abrahamlee1 I gave my wo dao corrin’s buff because it had the best crit if I remember correctly, he already has a super high crit, and the wo dao alone met up with a good 60 or 70 crit
So....how much grinding did you do in that 180 hours of gameplay. I'm not quite at endgame, but my Pandreo is the only one who can pick up a Levin sword and one round with it. You've got a whole army of Griffin knights.
I completed all the DLC, paralogues, skirmished and main story line. Yes most of my army were griffin knights. I changed some of them back to original class now for the character breakdown video. If you look at the stats. griffin knight is the highest stats class that you can get when you change class
after 5th madrun I prever to run: (f)Alear(divinedrag)(lucina)(starsphere/SPgain), Jean (Wyvernknight)(Tiki)(Resolve+/SPgain(till gentility+)), Anna(highpriest)(Byleth)(Startsphere/SPgain(till enough sp for +10HP/Lck&Holdout+++), Celine(Vidame)(Chrom)(Starsphere/SPgain (till Spe/Dex+5 & Avoid(40)), Alcryst(Tirreur D'elite)(Lynn) (samesame till (LunaBrace & Avoid (40)) and the rest which im too lazy to type out rn haha
lol that's a lot of gameplay you ran on FE Engage. Celine and Alcryst is solid unit but take time to grind, with Veronica and Soren, you will have chance to grind SP and XP :D that's a good team :) I can replace Alcryst with Fogado because Fogado has higher stat and not easier to die. Put Diamant in as well. i made video about Diamant solo

well is not that bad at least, too many griffing knights xD. try warrior kagetsu and u see real power (with killer weapons plus long bow) merrin has no strg, sure she is a great pre promoted with a good lvl but she has 25 str growth and wolf knight only gives +5 str growth, the main dmg she can do is with the thunder sword and is not sufficient. Fogado the same thing with merrin, he has no strg, he can do ok dmg with the radiant bow but only to ship dmg (he can kill wyverns with it but only them), try warrior Fogado and u can se him shine (if u promote him the chapter he joins and reclass in a warrior he gain like 7 or 9 strg) hortensia is ok with byleth but when u got micaiah again is a must, mauvier can use byleth better in a support role like the class he joins and if u want byleth in a flyer u can reclass him in griffing knight. seadal is ok with lineage and canto, but he needs camilla or sigurd to shine with no investiment. anna is good with tiki if u babysitt her to gain lvls and farm all the map to gain gold Veyle is the most broken unit with zero effort, she joins with 2500 sp, so u can inherit hold out from roy and hit +10 from sigurd, forge with corrin engrave her personal tome and use soren ring, 100% crit with her and she cant die, just kill the 3 ranges foes (thorons users and long bows). She can destroy a whole army with no effort and no brain.
haha, i pick griffin knights because of the stats. if you look at the stat gain when you change class, griffin knight is the highest one you can get for the stat. but only thing is archer that you need to worry about. I take out all enemy archer since I have long movement from griffin knight.
one thing about kagetsu, if I change to warrior class, Kagetsu will lose ability to use sword which is he can use up to S rank even I promote him to griffin knight. but having a bow to attack is still fine. weakness of kagetsu is magic, I think using levin sword or magic axe will somehow help him to damage armour units Merrin is wolf knight. I use Levin sword along with dagger to kill enemies. it is kind of balance for her to stand in the battle. I pair her with Hector to improve her defense. Fogado Hahaha, trust me, I can use radiant bow on him 99%. he is only good at magic, you can only use silver bow on him when you attack mage. pair him with Lucina, his avoid rate will be amazing. Yes But micaiah come too late, if you don't have time to grind, pair Micaiah with some unit low health like Veyle or Hortensia. Hortensia with Byleth still make a broken combo. beside the team will have enough healer when Micaiah comeback. For Seadall, you can just use any emblem on him because only move he makes is dancing for other units. no effort on him. I think Leif or Ike are fitting the spot. I agree with you on Anna is the must on team when you run maddening mode. lol yes Veyle and soren is broken. I made another video about this pairing. only thing is you need DLC lol. otherwise Veyle will be pretty weak in the late game. Funny thing is Veyle needs a lot of grinding and in maddening mode, she doesn't have time to grind in the end game.
@@abrahamlee1 the s rank is irrelevant for the more entire game u got it soo late, axes are more usefull in this game than sword and lockend in 1 range and only having thunder sword is pretty mediocre, and bows are very strong on kagetsu (plus long bow for chain atacks is insane) byleth hortensia is pretty good, but when micaiah rejoins is insane broken with rewarp and warp (jus because her unique class skill to save staff uses, if u dont care u can give to somenone and still work) so is no point giving hortensia byleth, when u can use on mauvier for free and the same utility merrin is awesome when she joins but fall off pretty fast, later in the game the only way to deal dmg is with the levin sword and is only ship dmg, if u rly want a dagger user zelkov is ur man (and have a nice personal too), yunaka is good too (dagger user or sniper)but base zelkov is always more strong than yunaka (u can use both of them if u want just give micaiah engrave to zelkov and crit on yunaka) Seadall shines a lot with movility rings, like camilla (who makes him fly, absolute broken) and sigurd who gives canto and enables another skill to inherit to him

Zelkov has higher stat but when he face armour unit, he barely does any damage. I think reclass him into wolf knight to use Levin sword would be more helpful. What do you think ?

Marth is the best pairing for sword master like kagetsu, yeah you have the right choice. I will give him silver sword for higher damage

Veyle can gets 100% crit with Soren so that’s pretty broken
How to get up to 100% crit? I engrave her book with corrin to increase her crit, but it is still not enough to get to 100%

Yet so many peeps rank the dude as low to mid haha. He need some babysitting and stat boosts to really pop off but he can do wonders in a run

You can pretty much use whatever team you want if ur using dlc lol.

Archer is a good class, i played sacred stone and I use the bow guy on horse in my main team
