      @kuvyoghmoobamelica6883 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @DMCarReviews Discounts? Where on earth are you getting discounts for an 2024 M340i, show me. MSRP for for the M340i is $60K, no BMW dealer near me sells one for less than $65K, so yeah, a "hyundai" is a better bang for the buck especially the warranty. 60K mile complimentary service (oil and filter changes free).100K miles drive train warranty and + extended 60k ($4500ish) miles on top of that. My previous 2015 RCF had 159,000 miles until I sold it. I also paid a $600 60K mile warranty on rims and tire warranty. New tire for no question asked if nail got in it and curb rash on rims. BMW warranty is only 4 years and 50k miles.

    • @kuvyoghmoobamelica6883

      @aus10li Inferrior? Lol you haven't even been into any of the Genesis cars in your life. I am 100% that after that 50K miles is up on your warranty, you'll be trading it in lol and taking the hit on that depreciation. Guess you settled with the most basic M340i lol? All the BMW owners that I know barely have their BMW's more than 3 or 4 years.

I do have a question about its long-term reliability, though. As an owner of a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE V6, which has been incredibly reliable, I've been hearing mixed things about BMW's reliability. Can anyone share their experiences with the M340i as it ages? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

      There are many iterations of the B58. I had the first gen in my 2016 340i XDrive. It had 320hp. Then with the m performance tune it was 335hp. The 2020 M340i was the high output B58 at 382hp. Then in 2021 the M340i also received the 48v mild hybrid system which is an 11hp boost though they still rate the engine at 382hp. Fuel economy did improve in the real world and there’s basically no turbo lag and the engine stop/start is very smooth. The X3 M40i received the same 382hp mild hybrid setup in 2022. I still prefer the steering and interior of the G70 3.3 Twin Turbo, for about $15k less. The screens remind me of my work from home setup in this car, with two clunky rectangle monitors, and the gauge displays are too cartoonish (and not as easy to read when driving hard), seemingly just to look different. I’ll be in the minority here I’m sure, but give me classic functionality over unusual instrument readout design. Analog all day for me!
      4.5sec to 60 is plenty fast for me, considering I commute to a corporate job, not a drag strip. 😊

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's not a second faster. First of all, if you floor both of them from idle (no launch), the M340i will beat an M3 RWD on the 0-60 with ease, and will be even with an M3 xDrive, maybe even get the initial jump advantage due to the electric motor and quicker spool. The only case where the M3 xDrive has a better time is from launch, but the difference is a little over half a second. Here are BMW times.

      Both great options, just depends on what you prefer more! The S4 has the massaging seats and it has lighter handling, which is again a matter of preference. Both are great options. The S4 e-diff makes it easy for an inexperienced driver to drive fast. It also isn’t picky on wheel/tire combos like the M340i but the M340i is the more balanced chassis. It doesn’t fall apart when driven at its limit and is faster, more fuel efficient, has better tech, and is more reliable and cheaper to maintain long term.
