What a great drive! Very nicely done and from this position fun to watch. Felt like I was part of the action. I currently drive a 23 Mini JCW Clubman. Very fast and responsive also. This was a joy to see too.

I love the updates for 2023 for the most part. I think this will be my next daily driver. I currently drive an Audi S4 and take my 2 boys to school just fine, but they are getting bigger and glad to see you have enough knee and head room in the back at 6'. I'll pick one up CPO and probably get a blue one with the black interior with blue stitching combo they do.

I have a 2021 M340 mild hybrid . Love it . Since i havnt drivin more expensive and better cars i dont have a point of reference so i feel like its the best car in the world for me .
Even when you try more powerful/expensive cars, the M340i still stands out as a great product
I love the exterior styling and large screen but miss hard buttons for favorites and climate control. This update is a mixed bag for me and I own two BMWs.
Yeah I can't imagine driving my kids around trying to fumble with fan speed and temp. I lose focus on the road with our Accord touch screen, and that's just for CarPlay. Had a 228i and X3 M40i with easy to use buttons before, guess BMW thought screens are cool (and cheaper?)
@@jamied9448if you lose focus while using a touchscreen, that’s on you, you shouldn’t have to completely turn your attention to the screen

I'm a fan of the old needle and dial gauge of the previous bmws this thing is meeh. Even if it is lcd they should still use the old style.
Great video!! I will hopefully have my 2023 M340i in a couple weeks. I noticed that when you were in Comfort mode the display had the tachometer. All the other reviews display a battery meter instead. Glad there is a way to show the tach instead. What's the secret?
You can change that in the car settings. ✌🏻

The updates are improvements. The car looks spectacular. (Excluding the fake exhaust pipes.)

Your impressions show why the BMW 3 series is the benchmark sport sedan, and the M340i is BMW at their best. That's not to diminish the M3, btw. The M3 is fantastic, but the M340i gives you 80% of the thrills with none of the drawbacks.

The 2020 is the best version. Interior buttons lack of the mild hybrid system, and the car can be tuned.
This bmw does have differences from the previous models but I do actually like the 2023 year

I’m going for the 2020 M340I after looking extensively at the CLA45 (horrible reliability and 4cyl) and Audi S4/S5 SB (boring). The M340i is where it’s at, quickest 0-60 and the bulletproof B58, can’t go wrong. The 2020 for tuning potential, also only $40k.

It’s all in the suspension mostly. I had a 228i and an M240i, the M240i was noticeably WAY more rough riding than the 228i, night and day difference. But the tradeoff was the M240i handled better performance wise.

I am pretty sure the transmission was in sports plus mode when you thought it was in comfort mode at 12 minutes. I think the only way to have just the transmission in comfort mode is to use sports individual. It's hard to see but I think the display shows sports plus rather then sports individual? If it's in sport + everything is in sports + as far as I know.
@@layne4376 Agreed. But I see the dash shows 'Sports plus'. When you pull back the shift lever it will put the transmission in Sport and show the gear numbers even if the transmission is already in sport. Not a big deal car sounds great regardless.

If you have the xdrive could you have to option to switch to rear wheel like the m3?
not built-in. but you can use x-delete software to disable it but might void warranty and its not an instant switch back & forth i think. the m3 does have it native.
Great video :) it's a pity that BMW had removed the full size shifter and put in that little "chicken nugget"..... it's really putting me off the LCI version of this car. (though, that is the only thing that I see is letting it down!!!). Cheers, Don, Perth WA (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)

Yes, this is the M Sport bumper. The 330i without the Sport Pack looks a little different.
@MilesPerHr how would you compare it to Camaro SS? I know how SS feels and handles very well in canyons etc., stock and tuned (except ZL1)...no idea about M340i, I'm in Europe so camaro is sort of overpriced, gas prices are crazy though...I guess SS still feels more raw, sporty and brutal and 340i is spicy family sedan :) ...also any thought vs new or mustang GT would be appreciated...if anyone else has 1st hand experience pls comment. thx!
I like the facelift, but I think the Pre-Facelift looked much better, it was cleaner and had a more confident but aggressive front end and no unnecessary styling elements, just looked incredible, drove fantastically, in short, almost the perfect sedan. The Facelift looks good but the Pre-LCI was better, just in my opinion.
In that case, it's good BMW kept the styling changes fairly mild 👍

As much as I keep telling myself I’m not a fan of bmw the more it keeps me wanting to actually buy one
Auto manufacture need to realize this: if your screen scroll like 4:21 in the video, don't bother putting essential buttons as software. I don't want to deal with CPU/GPU being overworked by graphics that it is glitchy to control the essentials.

Xdrive is quicker and more grip but you lose the little extra thrill of rwd.

70k after sales tax NO active Lane keep assist ? I get it it’s a drivers car. But for most of the time as a daily . You’re cruising. I’m not alone and sure lots of people enjoy a couple Jays while they drive and a couple drinks. It’s nice to have that little help to keep you straight while you’re enjoying your cold one or in a rotation with the homies. For my
Money I’d get the 330i with that feature added. And just spend 5k on a flash tune.

All that gloss black. It’s like they bought gloss black on sale at Costco, everybody hated it on the inside, now they have too much and now they’re putting it on the outside. Gloss black diffuser? That’s going to look great for about 30 seconds after the plastic wrap comes off during the PDI.😂
Easy fix, replace that shiii with a carbon diffuser.
50th anniversary batch costs $200 more, BMW charges everything they could think of.
The brake feel is so bad. It bothers me so much, I traded in my M440 after had it for almost 1 year.
