It seems Damien discovered an anti climax feeling after his trips away & the going back into a daily life in one place.
While away he was stimulated with new things, when back in Chaing Rai, he felt he was back to what he knew & much less stimulated.
It's evident he has a busy mind in the way he details things & he needs stimulation in life.
Some people are like that, others aren't.
He stated boredom as relaxing & vice versa...I'd never associate those two together.
I love to relax when needed or felt like, yet it's never boring because it's a premeditated need/want.
Bored is something completely different.

Spot on.
Retirement in Thailand or maybe anywhere defined:
Nothing to do and all day to get it done.
Boredom at least for me,...is the enemy. At 65 there are no bad days as long as Im getting out of bed to have another day something must be learned to keep from rusting. Ergo boredom must be thwarted.
I still work mainlly because it keeps me engaged, I like the money and I can tell millenials that they would have to improve to be useless. If I could work in Thailand for western money as I did before I would be there right now
When I liveed in Chang Mai at age 55 I bicycled up to.Doi Sutep 4 times a week rain or shine...I can still do that same mileage climb in California and do. Dont / wont.tolerate not exercising. Counter boredom measure.
I dont need people but I do need this channel and Vlog as one of my favorite counter boredom measures along with the beer Im drinking.
My disclaimer: this post was probably not helpfull or informative but I enjoyed every minute or writing it therefore ,..NOT bored,...and hopefully not boring to whomever reads it.
Wow, I just love your responses. As some wise man once said, "An idle mind is the devil's playground".
Well thank you Ray! By the way I.got around to watching the whole first live Ray show and actually wrote a beer fueled/induced response before I wrote the one here you like.....I sure enjoy participating.
Nintendo and a push bike 😂😂
That is two possibilities.
@@AllAboutLifeInThailand oh it’s more than possible and the look on people’s faces at a faring riding a mountain bike around the village is priceless 😂😂
Ah, now you're opening a better vision of the possibility.
I spent half my day at work drilling holes Ray... Now that is boring! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I see your point Bill. You obviously know the drill.
Now that,...is funny Ray😂
