@unclelive6918 umm no thats just my genuine thoughts on how it looks, not because i can't afford the new gen lmao I'm not even in the market for one. I bought a brand new Jimny outright and dropped around 20k in mods into it totalling more than the cost of a brand new BRZ in its highest trim level, plus i own 2 other cars aswell.
You can swap the front parts with the GR86 and these cars have a lot of aesthetic parts you can swap to your choosing. Personally the new BRZ has my favorite face, these cars look great in person.
Not bad. 2.4litre no doubt helps. A turbo would be better. But here are its peers: - 608hp VE S/C Ute - 6.58secs Honda NSX auto - 6.58secs 315 super pursuit manual - 6.59secs 330rwkw G6E FGX Manual - 6.60 sec 2023 BRZ - 6.65secs HSV VY Senator Auto - 6.68secs Bullit Mustang manual 6.7secs 220awkw EVO 6 - 6.7secs 2005 BA FPV GT - 6.8secs

Price When New AUD$124,390 plus on-roads. Whilst the BRZ S, is 174kW/250Nm. Currently AUD$$45,090 plus on-roads. A little bit of trivia, is that the claimed ADR fuel consumption combined for the Cayman was 9.5 litres/100km, which is the same as the 9.5 litres/100km for the BRZ. Both on RON 98. Cheers. :)
I just bought one of these! After spending more than a year looking at second hand VFII Redlines for $60-70k+ I decided instead to get a brand new BRZ for $45k. It doesn’t have the charm of the LS3 but it’s a great fun car to drive. I can fit my 7 and 10-year-old kids in the back seat comfortably. The roof is very low and my hair brushes on it so if you are really tall you might struggle to fit.
Good choice, sometimes power is just a bragging right. It's way more fun to have a slower car that actually handles and allows you to push to the limits. The redline would be a good family car though
Another great review - nice work! This thing has that same awful digital piped-in sound as the 370z.. That'd be the first thing to go if I ever purchased one!
"wOuLd bE NiCe if tUrBo" and then it would be more expensive and drink oil for lunch and lose the linear power curve and throw off the center of gravity. Just let us have a nice NA 6 speed that isn't a Miata.
Not too bad at all especially for an N/A & seeing that you're sold & having fun so she must be pretty good Johnny lol, nice review once again thanks man 👍
I bought an 86 in 2013. It was an awesome car. Lot's of fun throw around corners and still such a great looking little sports car. But everyone that see's it asks, 'How fast is it?' And everytime all I could say was, actually it's not very fast at all. It's fun but not fast. I'm sure the new one is better but it'd be great, as other comments have suggested to see them release TRD one that's at least got WRX power.
It would then cost more... which many of us dont want... id rather a sports car with less power and cheaper If i wanted more power, i would have gotten a v8 mustang
Lol everyone talking about the torque dip. I’ve had mine since new in 15 never had a problem with it having a torque dip. It just doesn’t have a lot of torque. I just downshift problem solved.
"Doesn't have a lot of torque ... downshift problem solved." That is the problem and the solution. It was not a big deal and easy to solve as you say. The new one has continuous power throughout the range.
