The XM is a gorgeous vehicle, and yes we need to see another X5 on the channel. And agree with you 100% about customer service.
I’ve been mechanic for 40 years… First oil change should be within 1000 miles to get rid of the dirty breaking oil and any metal contaminants.. After that oil changes should be done every 5K Especially on turbo motors!! Only use the Mann oil filter I recommend the best oil on the planet Amsoil signature car will last forever!!
Great video! Every time i have to go to the dealership I request service advisor to print and put ‘do not wash’ notices on the windshield and side glass. That was after they washed my wifes coated x1 and it acquired ton of tiny scratches.
Thanks Tony! That’s a great idea!
I leased an 2021 X3 30i, I moved up to the 2024 X3 40i fully loaded! It is night and day compared to my previous X3. It took me a two weeks to get comfortable with how fast this car is! In comparison my first BMW was the 1997 540i Sedan with 282 HP! It was an amazing car, loved it! But this 40i take that to a new level! Everything is sharper steering, throttle response, cornering, breaking! The only down side is the run flats the ride is too harsh, this is my third X3 and I’ve switched out the run flats on those vehicles and got a much nicer ride and I’ll be doing that with this one. Oh one more thing, a car turned into my lane from a left hand turn lane she decided to go up one more street before making a left, a saw her turn into me and I later found out that the X3 avoided her on its own! It felt weird (steering wheel movement) I thought i did the steering input but one of the genius guys at the dealer told me the car avoided her I was shocked! Amazing!!!
what size wheels do you have on 40i? Thinking of the ride/ harshness. thanks
245/45 R 20 XL front and 275/40 R 20 XL Rear

@@theshindoggI think it’s 21. I’m thinking of getting it myself but I’m watching a lot of reviews on it before I get one
Great video. A race between this and the Range Rover would be interesting, I’m sure they’d be very close
That would be a great race! Driving them both they feel equal.
Here in Switzerland, we have 10 yrs or 100'000 KM free service independently from factory warranty
Currently have a m8C, but the XM is next, back end is insane
Can you please tell me what level tints you have on your car all around please ? I'd like to do the same on my x3 M40i. Great videos, thanks for taking us along.
Thank you! The tints are Xpel XR+
70% Windshield
15% front and rear
What no loaner? I vote for scrapping the LR and getting an X5 M60 or better an X5M? But there is a huge price difference between the two.
Also, most dealers are stuck with the XM's since they are so hideous, nobody wants them. Can't say I blame them.
I typically get a loaner but for an oil change, I figure o would wait. I had a couple bad experiences in the past with loaners at a different dealership.
I just bought the 2024 x3 m40i and the wind noise coming from the driver and passenger side is very loud. BMW already changed the door channels which did bring the wind noise down a bit but still very loud for a car this expensive. Are you having wind noise issues when driving over 70 miles per hour?
Our X3 is very quiet on the highway. The tires can exhibit some higher road noise than some but it depends on the road surface and it’s tolerable. Not X3 specifically but with all cars, most wind noise could be contributed to windshield seal, window seals and sunroof. It may be worth having your local dealer check that out.
...or the design of the outside rear view mirrors. That's where I feel the highway road noise is coming from on our '23 x3 M40i@@eddiemcars
Is that workout room for employees or customers?
It was unfinished, but I thought it was for customers. Hopefully I’m correct!
The XM is sick , but I can hate it too. I don’t like the rims , and I would lover it a bit. I would change the rims differently. OFC get an x5 , get rid of that Range Rover lol 😅 . I also like the I4 better than the Tesla. I guess because it looks like a Petrol than an electric. If I have to go electric this would be my choice or the 5M60
3000 miles in a year?
That’s correct. She doesn’t drive far at all.
If I didn't take trips to my hometown a few times a year, that's about what I drive annually as well. Maybe 4000 at the most. Everything is pretty close to my house. Kids schools are all within ~2 miles, Walmart/Sams are both within ~2 miles, etc. I don't have any IRL friends that I meet/hang out with, and not really that big on "going out" in general. Now, in my hometown it's a very different story. Walmart 20~ miles one way, closest gas station is 7~ miles one way, etc, so it's VERY easy to add miles onto a vehicle, minus the fuel cost lol
Dump the Range Rover
