As always, Marat is right. This is one of those tricky questions where people tend to answer in a personal manner instead of a professional one (or at least I did sometimes). The thin red line is here, but Marat nailed it in the four examples, linking personal and professional aspects together in the answer. This approach would let you answer the question with honesty and not focusing only on your personal behaviour, but showing you are human, able to identify your own mistakes (self-criticism, which is quite good and up to an extent will help you to increase self-awareness and achieve personal growth), learn from them and find a solution or, at least, find a compromise that would keep you in the professional path. The weaknesses question in fact seeks to understand your perception of your own performance. As you are saying it's all down to how well you know yourself after all, weaknesses are subjective. Thank you for this straightforward tutorial

What IF you're greatest weakness IS that you are a workaholic? Even if you don't tell them when you're asked, they will find out when they get to know you. Nobody asked me my weakness when I had the interview for my current job. If they had, perhaps we wouldn't be here now.
