    I always say, NEVER lie in a job interview, because sooner or later that will turn against you. But it doesn’t mean that this is your chance to openly bad-mouth your former employer, EVEN if they deserve it or Going into details and victimizing yourself, in front of someone who won’t get the full picture, no matter how hard you try. If you’ve done that before, that could have been the reason of failing an interview.

    I was being sexually harassed by my previous boss at my last job. He had even pulled me into his office and asked me if I was wearing any panties. He used to stand not even a foot behind me when I was working at my stand up desk at the warehouse to look at my butt and made several sneaky comments when no one was looking. I stood up for myself and told him he needed to stop because he was married and had kids not mention it made me uncomfortable. The next day I was let go because "I didn't see the vision for the company". How would I explain this in an interview?

    I'm currently working in an Energy Management company which really sucks ass when it comes to managing workflow and projects: from "come on, this legal paper isn' that important!" to "We're like family, people like to work here long hours" I've seen the very extent of how much a company can be worthy of a foreclosure just for incompetency alone. So, since badmouthing them would feel good but also would be like shooting myself in the foot in the interviews, I'll just answer with "Oh, it's because I'm looking for a challenge in a field I feel close to me, since I've studied as a Mechanical Engineer and I have a passion for precise and well-made products, which is one of the core values of your company as I could understand from how it's presenting itself."
    It makes the interviewers happy every time, even though I don't land the job.

    My former employer wants to rehire me, so could you please help me with this?

    • @hp2546
      @hp2546 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Having former boss to rehire you is a rare opportunity. You did leave that Company A, and then Company A wants you back. That would mean you have back up options. You don't want to end up sitting around at home doing nothing while waiting for Company B to hire you. There is no guarantee that Company B will hire you. You don't want to end up quitting Company A for nothing. This will prove that in the job interview, that you are not terminated. As long as that Company A is not toxic, that is a good place to go back. You don't want to end up with a long history gap in your employment history.
      So in a mean time, go back to your former boss, but write in your resume stating something like this in for your interviewer at Company B to see. Just an example for you. (Employment History June 2010 - Present). See this example. Your employment is still current. At least right there, you are proving that you did not quit Company A. Yes, that Company B may ask you why do you want to quit Company A. Whatever positive answer, it is up to you to come up with it. If you can get hired at Company B, then you don't need Company A. However, if that Company B don't hire you, you still stay in Company A.

    And the case when I left because I was bullied by my inline manager who put the entire team/company against me (mobbing) through lies ? The case when, because bulling/mobbing, I am nervous and I had PTSD ? etc ... how to avoid to explain in the job interview that my former inline manager has a narcissistic personality disorder and that put my mental health in danger ?

      there was a workplace bully who oversupervised my work to deliberately look for mistakes and use it as an excuse to shout in my ear at close range until my eardrum vibrated before. I went to create multiple social media accounts to harass/cyberbully him :)
