    I have this mod and it bettered my laptimes. More consistant in braking. I ordered all 3 springs (40,60,80) and am currently very happy with the 60 on play seat challenge. I also have the potentiometer for the gas pedal from the same firm. No more opening the pedals to clean everything. It also has a higher resolution. Can highly recommend these upgrades.

      Does the axc potentiometer have higher res ? Up from 8bit? And does that translate to Xbox?

    • @Catcrumbs
      @Catcrumbs ปีที่แล้ว

      What gives you the idea that the potentiometer has higher resolution than the stock pot? Everything in the pedal box is analogue electronics. The quantisation occurs inside the wheelbase.

      @@Catcrumbs sorry. I wrote that wrong. It's a hal sensor. Says it has higher res but as if you say the wheel base is responsible, I guess I am wrong. Main point is that you don't have to clean the stock pots.

      @@germankiwi4588 AXC's description of their products say they use potentiometers. If you search 'membrane potentiometer' you will find components similar to those used in AXC's pot kits. AXC's own diagrams are clear that the transducer in the TrueBrake is a linear potentiometer.

    I got these AXC mod and the results are significant. I used to be 3 seconds off the pace of the fastest guys on Gran Turismo with the regular setup. After I installed the AXC kit, I was more consistent in my lap times and now I am regularly not more than 1.5 seconds of the fastest guys. It's really that good of an upgrade trust me. I haven't used a load cell before so I can't really compare until I get my gt did pro

    The AXC mod is definitely worth it. If you're not quite ready to drop a butt-load of money on higher spec pedals, it's the perfect holdover until then. My braking was so much more consistent with it after getting familiar with the feel, which took almost no time.

    Cool, just ordered this and very excited to install it. Not happy with the stock Logitech brake pedal when playing AC. The pedal does tighten up after a lot of travel where you are able to modulate the pressure consistently, though some cars will lock up even before you reach this point. Though in other games with less emphasis on realism you need close to 100% brake pressure to even start slowing the car. For these games the stock pedal is not too bad, maybe even too hard when it's new.

    I'm especially researching some brake upgrades for my G25/27 because it feels too linear. I remember winding the spring tighter my old Driving Force Pro that made the brake have more resistance the more it travels so I could get a better feeling of where lock up zone is.

    What's the difference between the stock pot and this AXC pot? I have a similar throw/weight on my G920 brake pedal with the way I modded it and the stock pot still works fine for me. Would probably only consider this if it adds more "DPI"/resolution than the stock pot to make up for the lost travel.

      my AXC pot was sticking on 100% (they sent out a replacment for free)

    True Brake system is like the best upgrade you can do on a logitech. There is nothing even close to it. There is a Load cell mod, but it's a lot more expensive and harder to assemble, and so the experts say, identical results. There are some nice videos on the "Simracing Garage" channel.

    I don't really get what's the problem with the stock pedals? Of course I understand that they register the travel of the pedal, but the resistance is increasing with higher travel. Even a linear spring does this. So in fact, you can already work with certain pedal forces in order to achieve certain brake reactions ...
    It is of course possible that this mod is finetuned better, but it shouldn't do anything completely different to the unmodified pedal.

      @@randomcallsign that‘s not really an answer… A loadcell reacts more or less only on force, but that‘s not the case with this mod, which only changes the force vs. pedal travel ratio. I mean, correct me when I‘m wrong, that‘s why I‘m asking.

      @@SpeedIng80 The load cell, while it may not have much travel, is a huge improvement. You can press, and then press a bit harder and it is much more realistic like applying brakes on a real car. Almost like you feel the brake pads gripping onto the brake rotor much more. Easier to control trailbraking too rather than just by very little resistance and pedal travel.

      @amanullahbacus503 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its the combination of the linear pot and much stiffer spring inside the housing that gives it a similar feel to a load cell. The stock pedal has a lot of travel before you hit that rubber bump and with this setup u can achieve a much shorter pedal travel allowing you to modulate the brake a bit better. Their website explains it better than I can. I swapped the brake spring to the clutch and clutch spring to the throttle and its overall better in my humble opinion.
