When I have a problem with my swing, once I figure out the cause, I look for a lot of solutions and try them. From my +50 handicap a year ago to my +15 now, the journey to find exact solution always ends up with you. Thank you so much bro. As a Kim guy, I'm so proud of you.

I would love to see you explain this using a driver. For me, irons are very easy to not slice but driver it is so hard to not slice it. Great video!

Best golf instructor on TH-cam, seriously. Great explanations of concepts but I also really appreciate that you acknowledge context and match-ups. So many instructors make dogmatic statements like “fix your pulls with this tip” when that tip may not help you, depending on what your faults are.

This series of videos for the full swing are phenomenal. 6 years ago I was a 7 handicap and my swing mirrored your videos. But then I had a series of heart attacks and subsequently double bypass surgery . I couldn’t swing a club for two years and when I started playing it was ugly but I feel I’m on the way back.

JKM, you are a masterpiece at coaching and explaining in a simplified way. I have been battling with power and direction consistently, until you explained the IN to OUT swing. It has made such a big difference in my golf swing that I can hardly believe my own eyes.
    Thank you so much!

Hi Jonathan I think I have watched all your videos. Can you make a video on the biggest mystery in golf for me? Is the downswing a right arm dominate action or a left arm dominate action or is it joint? I have learn from pros that said you strike and aim with your right arm. I have taken lessons from pros that said your sling the club with your left arm and the ball is just in the way. Which is your philosophy?

Excellent, excellent video. Filmed my old swing and I was doing EVERTHING you were talking about Jonathan. Also, was leading to a TON of back pain, especially in my right side. Now I focus on pulling my left hip and shoulder back and up as the club head passes my body. This also allows my hips to slide underneath and IN FRONT of my shoulders coming into the follow through. MAN !!! It has taken a ton of pressure off my lower portion of my right back area.

Great series and video, Jonathan. You excellently mimic the bad way to move which really helps me understand what is wrong from an intellectual stand point. From a physical point of view, as a visual learner, I would like to see more of your wonderful demonstrations of the correct examples. Thanks!

My biggest issue is shifting the weight to the left because it feels like I'm going to top the ball. Now I'm realizing my head it also moving past the ball and is why all my shots are thin to going left. This is a great tip thank you!

Your comments about upper body extension made me think that this might be conflicting with another issue I've been struggling with and that is coming up out of my swing prematurely causing me to make thin contact with the ball. To be more precise, I have a hard time with making sure my swing bottoms out at a position forward of the ball. This means my tendency is to either hit fat (because my swing bottomed out too early) or hit thin (again because my swing bottomed out too early, but I came out of it before my clubhead made contact with the turf). I find that when I really focus on keeping my clubhead going forward longer at the bottom of the swing, I'm more likely to get the desired result of creating a divot at the forward side of the ball. But I'm afraid if I were to start thinking about this upper body extension concept you're describing, then this would conflict with my desire to keep the clubhead from ascending too early.
I hope all of that rambling made some sense. I'd be very interested to hear what you have to say about this.

You do have to be careful with how you swing in to out. Too much of it and you’ll be hitting it off the hosel.
