I keep looking into the Roscoe 8 at my LBS but now I'm thinking of getting a Surly hard tail solely for touring capabilities. I think I would spend way more time bike packing rather than single track. Just wondering if you or your viewers have any suggestions. Cheers.
I just upgraded my 2021 roscoe 8 with Kovee Comp 29's. Currently running Maxxis Rekons on em and omg is this better as a 29er than a 27.5 Makes me want to buy a new roscoe 9!

My nephew is on one of these, and I’m in the market for some new 29 wheels to swap on. Looking for validation before the purchase of a new wheelset + cassette. We’ll keep the 27.5+ as a swappable set for bike park days. He now races XC, which I had not considered when purchasing the Roscoe 8. Will the upgrade to 29” be worth it in the XC setting? I’m not expecting the bike to turn into a super caliber, but will it compete?
Hey man I’ve got the same bike, basically all stock but I’m looking to do some upgrades this year. I’d love to go up to a 29er like you did. I just don’t know what brand/type to get that will fit. What rims/tires did you get for this upgrade? Really appreciate the videos!

yeah sometimes you just gotta ride! the nearest decent trails are an hour away from me, so sometimes I don't have the time either! plus all the rain we are getting right now! ugh.
@@ToogyHowser Pretty similar situation here as far as distance to trails. It sucks. I'm so jealous of the people ya see on here that can just ride to a sweet trail system lol. Also kinda funny that you're getting loads of rain lately. Same here but I'm in southern Illinois. So I'm guessing like 40 hours from where you're at lol.
hello I'm watching all your videos I'm starting in this mtb world I have a month riding a bicycle and I'm learning a lot with your videos I live in New York I hope we can meet this summer as I plan to start in June to visit the parks that are in your videos.
Is this bike recomended for beginners using mild dirt traveling and most pavement rides.? My wife got me a 2020 roscoe 8 I feel is a bit too much for a beginner that wanted to do some bike riding
How did this work out for you? I'm split between the Roscoe 7 and X-Caliber 8. I'm leaning toward Roscoe for more off road capability, but worried about rides on the paved greenways and around town.
Thanks for the response Toogy. I just asked because I am in the market to get a new full suspension. I am looking at the 2019 Giant Trance 2 and 2019 Trek Remedy 8. But Treks bikes are so expensive hehe
Okay. Yeah remedy 7 is 4300 and remedy 8 is 4700. Without tax. Do you think the new trance will be worth it to get over the remedy considering the price and performance? Thanks Toogy =)

Bontrager line 30 wheels with bontrager XR3 29x2.4 is that I got and they are pretty awesome
