No no, I wouldn’t even have agreed to go to anyone’s house to begin with. My parents have always done Craigslist transactions in PUBLIC areas, like crowded parking lots or parks.
@@person8834 Damn never thought of it like that. I've been told that you should always buy cars in public parking lots and even some police stations let you do that near their parking lots but i never applied it to craigslist aswell. Thanks for the tip

The first story has such a satisfying ending. I genuinely feel so bad for the poor girl who had to endure that kind of harassment. Glad justice was served to the ex.

I sympathized with Joshua until he followed the people home with an axe. I was awkward in school and got rejected by every single person I was interested in and got made fun of by some of the them. Never went to prom for that reason.
Yeah I'm an awkward guy too although I've never really had interest in dating during my School years but he's got a lot more problems beyond that like seriously I don't consider myself a totally mentally stable person but I'd never do anything like that.

It's very clear that Joshua needed professional help. As scary as that was, I do hope he eventually got the treatment he needed.

The group of friends in the third story are decent human beings for being so nice to Joshua even when Joshua was acting hostile. Bravo.
Yea it sounds like, even though what he did was completely unjustified, they understood that their response to him getting turned down didn’t exactly help anything. I mean, even after being threatened the op still took a step back and looked at it through Joshua’s perspective.
It's stupid imo. Cos Joshua was harassing them. Sure it was embarrassing but the moment a weapon (ie an axe) is used. There is attempt to assault. And they did not want to press charges?!

The girl in the second story must watch your videos because she was smart not to follow him into the bedroom, and to have her mom come with her at all. Glad she didn’t fall victim to that obvious predator.
He's got some nerve, getting all haughty and asking them to leave! Personally, I'd piss him off by refusing and informing him he'll have to call the Cops.

My prom was cancelled "due to the virus", even though other schools in my district had proms at the same time. I liked listening to these stories because they make me feel like I didn't miss out on anything important
My prom wasn’t canceled, but was a bust. My prom was outside in a cold weather at night. I never had a good prom experience.
I can never understand why someone does not report something like the second story to the police because of the "nothing happened", a report should still be made regardless, because that creep will do it to someone else.

Story 2: at least when the man realized that his plan wasn’t gonna work, he let them both go and didn’t try to push for what he was trying to do. Alot of times what these sickos will do is when something unexpected happens that foils their plan, they still try to do all they can to assault the victim or whatever it is they’re trying to do

Here’s the thing. A pedophile like him chooses to take of advantage of minors because they consider they weak and easily manipulated. They’re kids and they feel they can easily have power over them.
I hope Joshua turned out alright. Humiliation is a powerful emotion. I hope he doesn't let it become a scar that twists his view of the world for the rest of his life.

Story 3: I kinda feel sorry for Joshua they all laughed at him and was humiliated for asking a girl to prom not saying what he did or was going to do with the axe was right but I feel his pain
Maybe that’s what horror shows and dramas should do: make stories about male problems and mental issues like depression and isolation and loneliness (women are generally more social then men that’s why autism is considered to be the “extreme male brain”: because it’s the exact opposite.)
To be honest, there are worse things than being laughed at and made fun of (yes, I’ve been laughed at). If you don’t want a public rejection, don’t give a public proposal.
Not saying laughing at someone is okay and that those kids weren’t assholes, just that it’s not THAT bad.

Unfortunately I never went to prom. No one in my high school wanted to go with me and conveniently a Cosplay Convention was happening the same weekend. So I went to the convention instead. Had more fun at the convention 😄

There was one story that took place in the UK. I don’t know whether most Mr. Nightmare stories take place in the US or at least from the perspective of Americans but it was still pretty interesting to hear a British guy’s horror story

Regarding story 1 It's amazing to me that some people become so obsessed over an ex. A lot of people have had a broken heart including me. I never went pycho over it. Just stay home and drink or something.

It's mostly about control. The fact that they lost the person they felt they had power over drives them crazy and they do unthinkable things to regain it.

the fact this guy has been uploading on a nonstop basis for the last 8 years is mindblowing , catering for people who come from a stressful night of work , college or school
I genuinely feel bad for the 3rd dude who attacked the people. I’ve tried to be in relationships with some girls and they never give me a straight response or know what I’m trying and just leave me with less and less to talk about. I get mad social anxiety when I think someone is spreading shit about me from those attempts, and I get where he was coming from. The only difference is I don’t act out on them, and eventually I realize no one was spreading anything, so it’s sad to see him go through that pain, realizing I’m kinda like him

At least the author wanted to try to talk to Joshua and make amends with him, but I think Joshua was too embarrassed and humiliated to even wanting to have a conversation with the author and their friends.
I’m glad the stalker in the first story was actually caught in the act and arrested. That situation happens to so many women and the stalker is never caught. Unfortunately in many cases it ends up with a much worse ending

God that last story almost made me cry. I just wanted to hug Josh and tell him he didn't need to suffer alone. I was in Joshua's shoes back in HS. Super awkward, terrible at socializing. No one cared for me, not even my parents. Luckily, I'm on the path to recovery. I hope Josh gets help and is able to fully recover.
I mean I was at his shoes at times myself (I'm bad at talking) but I didn't even once consider murdering others and I'm sure many others didn't. Thankfully I did have relationships and friends throughout high school so I didn't feel as lonely

Third story says they didn't make fun of Joshua or embarrassed him on purpose, but also admitted they all laughed at him loudly after he'd been rejected in public? C'mon, man, you can admit you were all asses to him - teens often are to each other - while still having Joshua be in the ultimate wrong for escalating to threats of violence with a weapon.
What did Joshua expect though? He literally asked out some random girl he’s never met before in his life infront of a group of people, anyone would laugh during a situation like that
@@Bransaucesauce mean, that’s kinda how dating works sometimes. It’s not like everyone only dates people that they were friends with before hand. Sometimes pre-existing relationships make it hard to start dating. It’s also common for people to promote the idea that you should just put yourself out there and ask and that the worse someone can say is no. Clearly that’s not actually the case. At least not with young and immature people, which is when a lot of dating happens. Even if it was weird, it’s pretty fucked to just start laughing at the kid. That’s definitely bullying and while Joshua was in the wrong, those kids are definitely still complete assholes.

So in the first story the girl's ex boyfriend gets 30 years in prison for attempted arson and stalking but I've herd of and known people who committed worse crimes such as rape, kidnapping,and even murder who got a way less sentence then that or even got off scout free. Yeah, that's justice for you.

Well the cops are usually bias against the guys and a lot more lenient towards the girls. I've seen guys get arrested for things but the girls do the same exact crap and all they get is a warning.
This is why the justice system in america is so messed up.

As a student who just graduated high school this year and has never been to prom, I see this as an absolute win lol
I appreciate that Mr. Nightmare's stories are always actually interesting. It seems like most other channels that follow this format don't have content that's as satisfying. The stories are always along the lines of, "I heard a noise outside and there was nothing there. It was the scariest moment of my life."

I had my car stolen by an acquaintance who it turns out had priorly been arrested and at the time was released on parole for car theft of someone else's car. The police in my city not only didn't even attempt to do anything to get my car back, but when he came by to demand I pay him money to get my car back, he attacked me because he thought I called the police and I didn't pay him ENOUGH despite being exactly what he wanted me to pay him... and *I* was the one arrested because I defended myself from being violently attacked by a drug-addicted dealer-cum-car-thief in front of my own apartment complex.
EVEN BETTER...
While I was in jail and then out on bail dealing with court date after court date, I got called from the jail because only a handful of months after my "stabbing him for stealing my car" he STOLE SOMEONE ELSE'S CAR AND USED IT TO STEAL DRUG-MAKING INGREDIENTS FROM WALMART.
But, hey, according to the police I'm the unrelenting perpetual felon and he who is currently in jail for several felony charges across multiple types of criminal actions right this very minute, is completely innocent.
I am literally never going to call the police again, because the police have proven that they are utterly useless to do anything to stop actual criminals or prevent actual crimes. Or, perhaps, it's that the police just don't care. Either way, they aren't reliable enough to trust to stop such things.
In the last story, I can feel the same way he was thinking, not the intent of harming but the embarrassment that he felt. I didn't go to prom, nor did I cared but no one should be made fun of. He had the courage to ask somebody out, and it was crushed the moment they laughed.

My brother told me the story of how some psycho kid burned down the place his prom was taking ending 9 people’s lives because he was bullied and thought that’s the best way to get back at them and now he’s serving a 45 year sentence and my brother still talk about it to this very day also these videos are amazing ❤

started listening to Mr. Nightmare, Corpse Husband, Be. Busta and many others when i was 15, forever thankful for all of them bc all these videos taught me how to keep my guard up no matter what, and to always go with your gut instincts whether they were right or not

Its been years since i discovered your channel. I was at a sleep over with a friend. We were in a spooky mood so we decided to look up scary stories. For background, we were home alone with all of the lights off. We ordered a pizza before looking up the stories.
We were halfway through the second pizza delivery stories when the pizza guy came. It scared the hell out of us, because we forgot that we ordered pizza. So we thought it was some random person at the door at like 11 at night. We were scared but now its just a funny story.

I was a misfit in high school so I understand joshes embarrassment at Natalie turning him down but not to the point he scared you guys, your story shows that just because a group of kids are popular doesn’t necessarily mean they are heartless ☺️❤️ I’m glad you and your friends are ok!

That first story is horrifying but also it feels so good knowing that he’s been arrested. But to think if the dad hadn’t been up/didn’t wake up to see that alert… it could have ended so much worse. And it’s so sweet hearing that her and Mike (I hope I’m remembering this name right) are engaged and maybe even married at this point!! I’m glad they are safe and hope they are so happy
Kids like Joshua are potentially dangerous and they’re just troubled and very confused. I like to think we all were like him(minus the criminal record and hatchet accident) at one time. It’s very tragic that a few “social outcasts” either choose to end their own lives or others. It’s a serious issue that should be discussed again and again

Honestly listening to these people having their prom experiences makes me feel kind of sad and bummed out.
My Senior year was during the last year they canceled prom bc of Covid. It was very unfortunate to lose a special once in a life time event bc of something you had no control over.
