wow, story 2 is probably one of the scariest stories I’ve ever heard on this entire channel; it’s so mysterious, it makes me wonder if the squatters living down there were the previous owners; the fact they didn’t pick up the phone eventually makes you really begin to consider that as a possibility; I enjoyed that story a lot as a result
Maybe, that is one good explanation. I was thinking that they may have been relatives of the previous owners, since they seemed to know about them and also seemed very protective of them. The realtor as well as the previous owners could be held accountable for not giving full disclosure while selling the property. I find it hard to believe that the realtor did not see that huge door. This is also why we have impartial inspectors. People should always do their research BEFORE buying any property.
Because once upon a time, people could leave their doors unlocked, in smaller towns and rural areas. My parents didn't lock their doors on their 50 acre farm until the mid 90's. They didn't need to until the farm by them was sold and re-development for a subdivision.
Well, in Iceland it's possible, people actually leave their homes unlocked very often, even in the capital city! At least it was the case the last time I've been there, which is about 15-20 years ago... I gotta go again, it's such a beautiful place and the people there are just awesome, no wonder it's - as far as I know at least - a country with the least amount of criminality in the world! Talked to some people who said that they pretty much don't even need police officers, because the worst thing a local would do to you is not apologising if they bump into you =D I left my backpack on a tiny wall close to the city center in Reykjavík (the capital) and it was still there completely untouched TWO DAYS LATER when I thought to go check that place after some other ones... What a place, gotta love it!

I’ll never forget one time a couple years back I was at least a year into my new apt. A lot of ppl didn’t know where I lived so I was never expecting visitors. Anyways it was prob 8 or 9 at night and I received a knock at the door. Sometimes I didn’t want ppl to know that I was home so I would quietly inch myself to my door to see who was on the other end so when I looked through the peephole I didn’t see anyone so I went back to my room. The knocking started again but I just stayed in my room and never opened my door. Now my apt complex there was two exits and from my bedroom window I could see who enters and exits the building from that entrance. Seconds after the knocking stopped I saw three men covered from head to toe exiting my building. Still to this day idk what those men were up to but I’m glad I trusted my instincts and never opened my door.
What the f*ck?! So they just kind of randomly targeted you, at least they sound like burglars and probably hid out of sight after knocking, so people instinctively open the door to see whats up with the knocking. Good thing you didn't open. In germany we actually have peepholes that have better vision, so their strategy wouldn't even have worked around here. (good thing stuff like that doesn't really happen here to begin with.)
@@umbral9911 I believe they did. Maybe they knew I lived alone idk. I wish the peephole were bigger so that you can see but it’s okay. My peep hole wasn’t bigger but my instincts were

We grew up in an old house in western NY. It was over 100 years old. There were nine of us and the basement was half cement and half dirt, a fruit cellar was in there as well and it was scary as all get out! We never wanted to go down there, ever. It was dark, dank and resembled a dungeon. One afternoon our next door neighbor called my mom and asked her why people were coming and going at all hours from our basement! As kids we were hearing all kinds of voices and noise coming from there but our parents didn’t believe us. My dad was away for work for weeks at a time and when he came home, he went down to the basement to prove there was no one there. When the neighbor called, my mom finally believed us and called the police. They found a couple who had been living in our basement for several weeks, they were escapees from a mental hospital! No joke…
Interesting story. Please email this to Mr. Nightmare with more thorough details. Hopefully he will narrate this in his upcoming videos. Everyone loves to hear some creepy and unusual stories like this one.
You should know better than anyone you’re on your own lol, best advice a cop can give is indeed that they can’t and won’t help you. Congrats on your medieval highwayman of a dad.
The 2nd story kinda sounds like the previous owners sold the house against their will and didn’t want to let go so they secretly stayed. The pictures may be from moments they had in the house and put them up to always remember the good times. They were already unhinged before, and selling the house made them go completely crazy. Or maybe I just watch too many movies and have a really wild imagination😂
My guess was that the previous owners knew the squatters and were covering up for them, maybe they're their bum relatives or something. They "moved out" but those people just continued to stay in the house for free after someone else bought it. But all we can do is speculate
They probably knew the people who were squatting. When I heard it was New Mexico and there were two people I thought it was maybe their kid and their partner or another family member. Really like the theory that the couple didn't want to move and that was them living there.

That second story is truly a mystery, as to why there is a safe door that lead to a small room where the supposed squatter was. And how the previous owners were related to the two squatters trying to get back in their home
That has me surprised and confused and curious to I mean you don’t expect to find a hidden room inside your new house when you buy it and I love watching these videos

I'm pretty sure the squatters _were_ the previous owners. Why pay a mortgage when someone else can do it for you? 😂
i think you mean the third story or something the second one was about the creepy people in the back yard
bye nevermind i’m slow
@@c4rt3rrl I'm slow too. 😅
I have taken that as a rule of thumb if a story says "You can fell safe leaving the doors unlocked!", you know something is about to go down. Also the third story it would be nice to live without constant noise throughout the day
DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE THAT MR NIGHTMARE HAS 6.66 MILLION FOLLOWERS?!?! How perfect is that

My parents had a similar experience to the third story. It wasn't an old lady, though. Their neighbor's twenty-something daughter had mental problems and wound up at their door one night. She lunged at my mom and dad had to body slam her out the door. They moved not long after.

As someone who has seen nigh every video ever uploaded to this channel and has been watching for nearly a decade since i was 7, this has got to be one of the scariest. Great video, and I've found that many of the recent videos have been real terrifying.
Edit: I'd like to also mention that this is one of the first story compilations in years where I'd be scared to continue the video.
story 1 - 1:11
story 2 - 9:52

ThankU, appreciated 👍
We got Mr nightmare promoting gambling before GTA 6
Yeah wtf is up with that. Someone needs a word with him
@@Reg_The_Galah The wretched sinner!
Oh no! He’s promoting a completely legal platform. The audacity of this guy!
@862Studios just because something is legal doesn't mean it's moral
@@cheesemanthe2nd And nobody is forcing people to use it. If you don’t like gambling, don’t do it. Simple.
I started watching Mr. Nightmare when I got into medschool and now I am 2 years past graduation and very soon starting a postdoc position in the States.
Hope to have this channel around when I have my kids♥️
That is pretty amazing, congratulations!

@TY-Tianyou I agree
Literally what I was thinking
DON'T BLINK! Good luck.
The angels are coming for you, but listen, your life could depend on this: don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast, faster than you could believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and *don't blink*! Good luck.
Listening to Mr Nightmare is the perfect way to spend a snowy, dark winter night. Hoping for many more nights like this to come
i literally just moved into a new house in a historical district in my city. it was bulit in 1912 and its kind of creepy. very ironic that you post this exactly one week after me moving in
I love your narration. I have been listening to the stories on this channel for 3 years. Would love some Christmas/Airport horror stories next!

a long mr. nightmare video
Born and raised New Mexican here, I’ve never heard of a house in NM having a Basement 🙄 nor do we get tornados to even have a tornado shelter
I really appreciate mr nightmare for being consistent in postings! I listen to them every week at school

anyone who reads this use sponsorblock extension if you can
Hey, dude’s gotta make money somehow. It ain’t as easy for a horror story channel to make money off their content as a gaming or music channels, or those annoying content farms.
No his sponsors are kids cool sometimes
Hank ou😭👍
Mr nightmare should have a campfire invite and should have a tour around the USA. that would be sick. Telling stories prepared
I KNEW mr nightmare would upload today!!!! I had that feeling 🌟
Christmas horror stories boutta go crazy🎄👻
Dawg no lie I’ve been watching you since I was 11 years old, I’m 19 now. It’s comforting every time I come back here and it’s still the same old Mr. Nightmare. Not to mention how invested I still am with every video. I’ll never outgrow this channel.
Damn same age as me, albeit I began watching when I was around 8 years old in 2013-2014.

The Statues being moved is so creepy. What’s more scary is how did anyone move all of them?
Weeping Angels I am telling you
@@Ethanoil7656Creepy!
People who moved those statues didn’t made any sound while moving those statues? I assume it would make lots of sound
There only statues when you see them
My guess is they didn't and it's likely a creepypasta or Doctor Who reference.
I have to admit, I get annoyed when there are alot of Ad's on some channels but not here. No way. It's so worth it!! Thankyou for sharing your talent, Mr. Nightmare ❤
mr nightmare has 6.66 million subscribers... how fitting

I’m a storyteller myself, but I still love listening to your stories-they’re so good. I definitely find inspiration in your work and hope to create something similar one day, but I would never copy it 🙂
I checked, New Zealand. It might be interesting. Plus its been a long time a see something around urban legends. Which is nice, childhood memories.

Mr Nightmare fans are probably some of the chillest dudes out there, wish I could chill with yall and tell spooks around a campfire! Seeing a gambling advertisement on a horror story teller is a horror story in itself
I love nightmares videos, i’ve been following for 6+ years since elementary. I’ve had to make a few accounts since then due to forgetting passwords but on every single one i made i subscribed because scary videos is what i go on youtube to watch. I grew up watching his videos, i watched every single one of them more than twice binge watching his videos because they’re so amazing and interesting, so once i see my noti while at work i get so happy that im going home to a new Mr Nightmare video. His fans are the most loyal ones out there❤
Do you remember a daycare story, the story teller went to daycare and this other kid was creepy and when the story teller mom pick him up he left behind a toy or a stuff animal
@ He has quite a bit of daycare stories you’d have to be a bit more specific
This gave me chills. It's great day when Mr. Nightmare posts

Hello Mr nightmare this is the first time I’m commenting on one of your videos personally. I would like to say me and my brother have been watching you for about 10 years now ever since i was 8, and he was 12. Your stories are always something there to watch and relax to. I have really enjoyed your consistency and ability to bring these scary stories to us. I can say that i haven’t always liked everything from certain points but who can be perfect? Absolutely no one and in that sense there is perfection even in flaws. Thats what makes us human and the fact that you have stayed true to your craft will always be astonishing and outstanding. Thank you Mr nightmare for your hard work and dedication!
Thanks! Just moved into my new home! Really needed this!
Been following your channel for a while, love it!

the casino sponsor rubs me the wrong way ngl
Was thinking the same thing.. I said this under another comment but if your advertisement has to include a phone number to provide support to people addicted to the very thing you're promoting, you probably shouldn't be advertising it in the first place.
@clownvictim honestly yeah, I didn’t even notice that at first? Wow, that’s pretty backwards.
It also hurts the economy of Native American tribes.

@@cameronmccormick89 Me too. If you need to include a phone number providing help for addicts of the thing you're advertising at the bottom of the screen, you probably shouldn't be taking that sponsor. It feels scummy.
@ me too
First story made me laugh because it made me think of Doctor Who
W nightmare!!! the length is amazing , hoping to see videos get potentially even longer in the future
The thought that terrifies me is what if some of the past story submitters are dead now like what if the intruders/shady people come back and actually succeed and we may never know like that scares me so much just the thought of it. So to anyone who has submitted or had their story made it into Mr Nightmares videos and if you're reading this I hope you're alive and well and wish you all the safety as much as possible.
Yeah, I hope the writers/submitters are safe as well...
