Hello, I'm the author of #4, man v. man serial killer. I wrote the story, I'm not a pro, so yes maybe sophomoric sometimes. NOT AI, I wrote every word. My English may have been influenced by my having lived in Germany for over 30 years. It will effect one's mother tongue. There seems to have been some kinda issue with my post originally, I'm not sure but Mr Nightmare asked me if it was AI then I said no, and he looked at my upload of my own story on my website and the date . WAY before AI was an issue. Maybe over 5 years ago. For clarification I picked up my art , small paintings, in Paris 1990, and carried them on my back, hitchhiking BACK to Germany (without issue thank God). I'm an expat American, 64 yrs old now. There was a movie that ended like that - I forget the name. It was more of a dark comedy but in the end the person who was the serial killer throughout the movie hitches a ride, only for the driver to be revealed as another serial killer who was hinted at throughout the movie - they both give each other the side eye without the other knowing, both thinking they picked their next victim. I want the full movie of that encounter lol

Absolutely. I've been listening for like eight years and every single video has been stellar. Even if some of the stories people send to Mr. Nightmare are lower-quality or perhaps AI-generated, I'd still listen just because his narration rocks!
He doesn’t read or care about anyone’s comments. Dude’s got almost 7 million subscribers, he doesn’t give a piss about anything except the money he’s paid from TH-cam. Notice how he never interacts or responds to comments on his videos?

She was scared the ppl driving the car were crazy and out to harm her. When she finally stopped the car (can’t remember where) she realized that the people driving behind her were trying to warn her. There was someone in her backseat! I probably missed a spot in the story, it’s been a while…but that’s the basic gist of it

My thing with that was, this lady was big and soaking wet. You’re really gonna tell me there wasn’t a trail of water anywhere? Even the pump to the gas station is always covered and she was in the passenger side. If she slipped into the backseat internally, you’ll see a trail of water between the seats leading to the back. Out of place. If she got out, you’d see a trail on the ground where it should be dry. Out of place. If the trail leads away from the pump, she likely did run away. If it remains near or around the car, TIME TO CHECK THE BACKSEAT. 🤦♀️ These people kill me. She’s a stranger. Do not trust her regardless of kindness. And also, I don’t want to judge the teeth since a seizure knocked my upper ones out (did not look sane after that), but just something else to remember when she suddenly disappeared.

As someone who occasionally searches around for smaller horror channels, I can appreciate the sheer quantity of incredibly low-quality, AI-written, AI-narrated videos. And that just makes me even more sad that someone like Mr. Nightmare would get attacked. I for one appreciate every video you ever made, and I hope you keep up the amazing work!

These are more of "first world" problems. Where I live, even though some are doubtful about helping a hitchhiker (more so at night or when alone), it is not popularly considered to be threatening like in US.

That story sounded made up anyways. He says it’s their first year of high school, and he couldn’t drive to the party. I guess not, considering most 9th graders are 13/14. So either he’s somewhere where you get your drivers license at a young age, or dumb and was help back in grade school for several years.

Please don't hitchhike if you've got literally any recourse-- even if it's just a long walk. It is so incredibly dangerous. Yes most people wouldn't do anything, but you're in such a vulnerable state while hitchhiking that the ones who have that urge to hurt people are all the more likely to act on it when they've got you alone in a car they can easily take you/your body someplace to dump after they're done.
My mom made sure we knew this lesson because in separate incidents she lost two of her friends in college. They had been tortured and murdered while hitchhiking, and by different sets of people so there were multiple monsters who used that stretch of road (the second incident took place while the killers of the other were in jail so definitively not some serial killer).

The entire concept of hitchhiking has always scared me. Like no matter if you’re the driver or the hitchhiker it’s a creepy situation. You are either entering the car of someone that you don’t know or you’re letting someone you don’t know into your own car. That seems not smart and could potentially lead to a dangerous situation very quickly.

1. As soon as she came out and saw the woman was gone, I thought "did you check the back seat"; 2. No one stopped because "they didn't see me or didn't care". Uh, maybe they don't pick up hitchhikers because they don't want to be murdered!; 3. "I gave him my address so he could put it in his house." Huh? 4. He was hitchhiking from Leipzig (GERMANY) to Paris with a guy he met in FRANCE. ???
story 4- Back in 1990 it was a huge thing to hitchhike. Many for DDR (East Germany) freed from the dictator recently...people hitchhiking to see the west. At every truck stop there were always 10 people HHiking. I've even gone with people together hitchhiking. So this was 30 years ago, and I never hitch hike anymore after this horror.

I know it’s a tough world but it’s always best to not pick up any strangers unless you have some sort of vehicle like a truck where you could just let them ride in the bed of a truck so they can’t pull anything crazy on you while you’re driving. One time some random stranger in broad daylight came to our gated house asking for a ride and my dad literally was gonna let them ride inside his vehicle with him behind the wheel 🤦🏽♂️ till my mom stopped him and said they’ll just find them an Uber or taxi

This might be silly, but I think the first story might be (somewhat) innocent. If she was an old lady, I wouldn’t be exactly surprised she just genuinely decided to lay down in the back seat, and OP simply didn’t notice. And because of this, op didn’t drive the lady to her destination. It was raining, it was late, and she might’ve be a little scared and decided to make a rather poor decision of following OP into their house to get out of the elements. I mean, she didn’t steal anything. She honestly might’ve just made a mistake and rolled with it and left when the rain stopped or when she realized she wasn’t welcome and maybe slept in op’s car the rest of the night or took the blanket to find somewhere else to sleep. Still, I’m not discounting how terrifying it might feel and it’s always better to be safe than sorry

These stories are really life lessons. I'm 31 and like to go to bars and I will never put myself in a situation like this. I been in a similar thing. Where I didn't have a ride at 2 AM. But I didn't wanna ride with the guy I met. So i walked down some dark ass roads to get home as I had no other choice. The 2nd story was a life lesson like most stories are here. I will never do that again because even if I don't hitchhike I could of had a lot of other things happen.
The scariest part of the first story is knowing there are people out there who willingly consume spiked seltzer.

Who are these girl’s friends???? I kind of understand the guy leaving his friend bc guys don’t get it but these girls leaving their girlfriends behind is unexceptionable. Girls, especially in high school and college should always use the buddy system when going out. If 3 of you go to the bar then 3 of you leave together. If one of my friends wandered off somewhere there is no way in hell I would leave without finding her and I would do everything possible, ask everybody around to the point of annoying them until I found them. If one of us were going to go to another room or floor, we would always tell our friend where we were going. These people need better friends

You know I can see why someone would think story 4 is AI at first, the guy would not stop telling us he was in France and seemed like he was using big words cause he thought it would make the writing sound better
