The fact that the second story guy is still dorming with Demora is the scariest part to me. There’s no way he’s not gonna try something bad before he graduates.
I remember a story back in the 1900s about a woman who lifted a 2000 pound car to save her son that was stuck under it, she broke her arm but saved her son. It’s honestly amazing how the body just doesn’t give a fuck about itself when we’re under a super stressful situation
I just wanna give props to Riley. If the story is real, dude had his eye out for his homie, and he kept them safe when it mattered. That's a friend, that's the real definition of a friend.
I believe it’s legit. There are so many scams online it’s insane. Once the story mention that the “interview” took place in Oakland, I would’ve not went in the first place.
I'd like to hear the last story told from the perspective of the warehouse security guard. "I started to hear noises... doors were opening and closing. As i walked towards the room to see what it was, I heard footsteps darting off..."
The first story makes me glad I’m too old to have been looking for a job when Linkedin was around. Heck, I’m 40, so I can remember calling ads from the classifieds from the physical newspaper back in 2005. Not that there weren’t shady job interviews back then, but these days it’s a lot easier for scammers and criminals to lure people into traps with modern job networking sites. Glad to hear that storyteller got away safely.
I'll be 50 I remember going to the unemployment office n going thru the job listings hanging on boards having to wait n line to be able to search thru them
Agreed. I also feel like these sorts of scams were less common back then - pretty crazy how that kid Chuck was taken advantage of just because he was desperate for a position. I guarantee you that’s why he ignored so many of those red flags
Oof! Yeah, it's unfortunately easy to get wrapped up into crappy jobs and/or scams, especially since the majority of job hunting is done online and a lot of people want wfh jobs. I wouldn't blame them if they were getting desperate and jumped into something sketchy in the process (been struggling with discouragement/desperation while job hunting myself, and still have been looking for a job for a while now)... -_-
Story 1: There were so many red flags, but boy am I colour-blind! Story 2: Yup, there's definitely no way to record the box ever having been there. If only there was a device that could capture visual proof that a box was there.
Yeah, definitely agree that the first guy should have been more discerning. I wouldn't blame them if they were getting desperate for a job though, red flags or not (been job hunting myself for a long while and still struggling with discouragement/desperation while looking for a job). -_-

In story 3, how the hell would this drunk idiot know that it wasn't a cop? I don't see any reason why a cop, or even a security guard, wouldn't check an abandoned building, especially when a bunch of drunk college kids are running about willy-nilly. The only thing I get out of these heard, but didn't see, or saw, but didn't understand stories is that whoever is telling this story still hasn't experienced the real world.

The first story expresses what REAL FEAR can do. He thought of going one way, but his brain and body were ahead of him - defying rationality, they made the decision that may have saved his life. Basically, it's stuff that he KNEW but trying to be too logical, he would have made the wrong decision (probably - don't know what was down the other road) but SOMETHING in him knew to go the other way. Also, being able to do a physical task he didn't know he could do is the other way allowing real fear (not anxiety, worry or fear that's put in you by external information) can do for you.
If the guy in the first story was able to research the company, why didn't he just call the company and ask if the interviewer was even employed with them?! I don't get it. Great video. I LOVE the way you narrative style. 😊❤
I did that before, I emailed a company and asked if they were hiring because I got a message from one of their supposed “recruiters”. And they emailed me back and said no, they’re not hiring and that wasn’t them. Always double triple quadruple check and do your research!
It’s not that weird that someone doesn’t have social media or accessible information about them online. I’m like that. He definitely should’ve been suspicious when the interview A) didn’t take place at the company and B) was in another town, though. I’ve never had an interview that didn’t take place at the company location itself. Wtf. It’s easy to think like this when you have the benefit of hindsight, though.
Getting this recommended right away after applying to uni. Man, Mr. Nightmare has really been a major part of our childhood. I remember watching him when I was in 6th grade.

Nothing scarier than missing that 11:59 Sunday deadline for an assignment
I've been waiting for hours until bedtime to watch this lol I love falling asleep to Mr. Nightmare 💤
Fax. What wild things ppl are capable of through fear
Story #3 was awesome. Thank you Mr. Nightmare.
Great timing
proudly been watching your videos since 2016😝
If the guy in the first story was able to research the company, why didn't he just call the company and ask if the interviewer was even employed with them?!
