  • In this video I make a loose #tenon #jig that duplicates the killer features of the Festool #Domino - narrow and wide slots in a single jig. And yes, I had to go there with that 'ultimate'. 🤷‍♂️ Enjoy!

You have to give to Peter, he never takes credit for an idea that isn't his even if he improves the idea itself. Peter always give credit to the person who had the idea first.

Brilliant Peter, as a DIYer, I struggle to justify the cost of a Domino but this jig looks like just the thing I’m looking for. I have the router, all I need is a little bit of ply and a couple of spiral upcut bits👍

I love the idea of that spacer jig for the Festool track saw. Allows one to set the track on the "wrong side" of the cut without losing a blade width's worth of material. Brilliant!

Brilliant design - well thought out for multiple uses!
From Canada - VERY interested in the flat-pack kit!!
You had recommended the star byte off-cut spacers to me. Thanks for that.
Absolutely love them - used just about every day.
I used to try and juggle my larger pieces of plywood so the ‘keeper’ piece was always under the rail. As long as blade is sharp the ‘outside’ cut has a clean edge as well.

Thanks so much for this Peter and Gordon. I’ve made a ropey version of this (first project on table saw so cuts aren’t great) but it is still good enough to allow me to join lengths of board together flush. For cabinet doors. Will probably make a neater looking version again.

That is so good, when you have multiple carcasses it will earn its keep the first day. Parts can be interchangable or replaced so long as the original planks are the same size. Ace. O and to those that look around the ply can be found as off cuts.
