the only reason that i run windows 8.1 was because its the only os that i could run smoothly on my old laptop (it comes with windows 8 when bought), i tried installing linux (puppy os i didnt liked its interface, linux mint xfce i cant instal the some apps, and lastly pop os didnot work maybe because the processor is too old and in linux its a bit complicated for me specially on installing differents apps and programs. it have a celeron 847 chip which is really old btw (10 yrs old or something) i also tried putting windows 10 but its laggy.
Completely understand what you mean about some linux UIs. Have you tried Zorin OS Lite? Works on anything ive ever tried it on and has a similar interface to windows 7. Check it out :)

Honestly, the only few problems that 8.1 had was the start menu. Which can easily be fixed with software. 8 was basically just a stripped down version of 7 for slow touchscreen laptops. That's why it's lightweight. It just has crashing issues because drivers and programs don't give it support anymore. I kinda like it more than 10 because it's looks less lifeless. But I'm forced to use it because UWP support
Thanks for watching! 😊i do somewhat agree with what you say about windows 8 / 8.1 but with this device i did run into lots of compatibility and stability issues despite having all the correct drivers installed i didn’t have these problems with 7 or 10 so not sure why i had these issues with 8.1
@@ellissamsontech As I said, it runs into program compatibility issues _because_ the community basically abandoned it. Back when it was still fresh, I had a great time using 8.1. I even downgraded my laptop from 10
Thanks! This computer can run Microsoft office packages very well thanks to its 8gb Ram. The i5 2500s is actually not a bad CPU and i think a computer like this makes a great home office machine for basic tasks like Emails, Office, Web browsing and online shopping, provided a secure operating system is used like Windows 10 or Linux. 😁😁👍

Yeah it’ll run windows 8.1 but wouldn’t recommend it i think you’re better off with 10.

You have to boost your voice audio bro, I can barely hear what your saying vs your intro.
It’s already on 0.5x gain boost and i always test videos on mobile before making them public the audio is clear
