I’m trying to find a good laser led show light , that is sound activated but won’t break the bank,for an upcoming project. I need the lasers and lights to follow guitar. Speed is important, not meaning I want fast but that I don’t one that will change every note I hit, but more morph and flow with the sound of my guitar playing. Hoping you can help.

the only reason that i run windows 8.1 was because its the only os that i could run smoothly on my old laptop (it comes with windows 8 when bought), i tried installing linux (puppy os i didnt liked its interface, linux mint xfce i cant instal the some apps, and lastly pop os didnot work maybe because the processor is too old and in linux its a bit complicated for me specially on installing differents apps and programs. it have a celeron 847 chip which is really old btw (10 yrs old or something) i also tried putting windows 10 but its laggy.

Honestly, the only few problems that 8.1 had was the start menu. Which can easily be fixed with software. 8 was basically just a stripped down version of 7 for slow touchscreen laptops. That's why it's lightweight. It just has crashing issues because drivers and programs don't give it support anymore. I kinda like it more than 10 because it's looks less lifeless. But I'm forced to use it because UWP support

I used Puppy linux image used for Arcade gaming (Tahr 6.0.6) onto Toshiba L10-102 Same specs! Celeron, 512mb ram.. it idles 74mb ram, Zdoom runs Doom, Hexen wads just fine! I managed to mostly everything from VECTOR to PSX although there are slowdowns, you have to look in old repo for emulators tho~ I didn't buy a HDD, just live from USB ! was actually happy since Puppy saves session on the USB when it shuts down... When I found an old 10GB HDD I tried to install linux on it (Nothing worked & Grub didn't even show except glitched characters) Finally decided to install XP (Integral edition with all basic programs & unattended) It took 6~7 hours from USB!!!!! You can actually double the ram (Virtual) by utilizing SSD, Keep in mind an SSD will need to truly support SATA 1 (SAMSUNG is NO GO) & buy 2.5" IDE 44pin to m.2 NAND SATA adapter Its a 17USD enclosure that accepts M.2 SSD (Cheapest Chinese ones can be 14~30USD depending on GB)

you can now pick these up for 200 or less. i know i said some stupid things in this video, but bare in mind i’m like 13 🤣

Max the memory and upgrade the CPU to have a good experience. Remeber that Celeron was entry level performance. What are the specs of the laptop? And what use you want for a laptop of its age? Maybe you can turn it into an office PC or on a retro gaming PC, many dos/early windows games will work well, just have to try. Search for the original recovery CD to have a full eXPerince. I got an netbook EEEPC901 that have Atom CPU (with hiperthreading), 2G DDR2 and Intel 950GMA video. The original SSDs are not faster than an old SATA HDD and I use for data Storage a 16G SDHC card. It run happily old Windows games (Diablo, Diablo2, Half-Life, etc), old dos games, is very good for office tasks (Office 2003, Sun Office) and also is good for using older programming languages (from Qbasic, Turbo Pascal up to Delphi, VB6) and every old 16/32 bit software I use. I found the original restore CD on Archive org and restored the netbook to its XP glory.

After like 3-4mins of video i realized that you do not have 100k+ subs 😢

It always amazes me to see these kinds of prices, and comparing them to things of similar price or prices of similar products or the original price of the product, this is barely enough for a meal!

if the haters cry that you have windows xp installed, just make them watch you install vista on that thing 😆

I think it would be much more usable if you had spent a little more on an SSD, I have a "retro" laptop with ide2msata adapter and a 60gb ssd, much much snappier and actually usable for office etc.
