    It is really cool that Sig is really developing that All In One package. You not only can get a full size, compact or mid with an exchange of the frame but you can switch out calibers. They are also doing this with their new rifles MCX MPX and the XI. Sig is doing something that differentiates themselves from others. Really cool and innovative.

    I recently bought the P320 in 9mm, and I've put 400 rounds through it thus far. The gun feels great and I LOVE the trigger. I haven't experienced any of the issues hickok45 is experiencing when shooting it. I also have the P226, and I prefer the P320 due to the striker-fired action. I've also loved how well the P226 feels when shooting it, but I also prefer a striker-fired action. The P320 is the perfect answer. Way to go, SIG Sauer!

    Bought my P320 back in early '19. I kitted it out with a threaded barrel, comp, gas pedal take down, and a few other pieces of furniture. That being said I own plenty of glocks and Walther and a few others. The sig p320 is still hands down the best handgun in my collection. Both the full size and .357 sig carry. I even bought an entire new FCU just to have two complete builds. Can't talk up this firearm enough.

    • @doomguy8447
      @doomguy8447 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @gello You may want to go with a P365. I own one of those with an aluminum frame and juggle carrying that and my S&W shield 40 2.0. I prefer a smaller carry, but the sub compact p320 is definitely managable for iwb carry; it just depends on personal preference. They make so many sub and micro double stacks these days that its hard to make a decision. All I will say is I own five different p320s, and it is one of my favorite, if not my favorite striker fire pistol. If you do decide to get one, you won't regret it regardless of how you end up using it.

    I bought one yesterday, compact-medium sized. I've put my Glock away in a lock box and will carry this. After 300 rounds down range this gun is ideal for me for CCW. I've always liked Sig ergonomics, but never liked the hammer and firing from DA on the first shot. This gun solved that issue. 5.5lbs trigger with little slack and a crisp signature Sig break, I can see why this is now competition for Glock. Maybe Glock will improve a few things (sorry fanboys, Glock, unlike their phrase, is not perfection) and deliver an updated firearm. Competition breeds quality.

      +chad haire so basically it's the same as a Glock. Let me guess you're going to comment on that trigger safety that won't let the trigger be pulled......unless something is pulling the trigger. They aren't death traps. Striker fired guns like the M&P and Glock, and now PPQ and Walther have been around for a while. Our M&P's have yet to see an ND in the last 10 years and that's allot of guns.

      While it will probably be 9 MM, it's actually got the ability to change to varied calibers. So if Special Ops wants one in .45 ACP, they can have one with a 10 round box. If Senior Officers or general service personnel want a different caliber, it can be modified even in the field, to .357 Sig or .40 S&W, so long as they can keep the 9mm slide and equipment intact and return it upon returning the weapon.

    I hear this bilge-water from people all the time about where your trigger finger is supposed to be placed on the trigger. I used to qualify people for armed security jobs here in town and they have to re-qualify every 6 months to stay proficient. I had this one guy that was so tall I almost had to used a mega-phone to talk to him. He always pulled so far to the left on his target that he was almost off the paper at 7 yards. I told him to start moving his finger in on the trigger until you find where your trigger finger puts neutral pressure on the nose of the gun. I kid you not, this guy got to the crease of the second pad on his trigger finger and low and behold he shot straight as and arrow. He has never had a problem since qualifying for his job and he thanks me every time he sees me for that bit of advice. Don't let people tell you where your finger is supposed to be on the trigger, YOU!! find where it is supposed to be on the trigger. Every bodies finger length and hand size is different so what works for most doesn't work for some, period.

    • @stringbikeshot
      @stringbikeshot 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That's some of the best advise I've heard in a while. Shooting "by the book" , while it might be proper and best for most, doesn't work for everyone.

    • @littlejpl
      @littlejpl 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My comment stems from this video at 15:15 where he puts his finger on the trigger in not where the quote un quote experts say to place your finger on a trigger. Look at Hickock's hand size and finger length and that will tell you why he doesn't use the pad of his finger. I just wish I could shoot half as good as he does with any gun lol. :)

    • @matt25675
      @matt25675 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you explain a little more what you mean about neutral pressure on the nose?

    • @littlejpl
      @littlejpl 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@matt25675 When your finger starts pulling back on the trigger of the gun if your finger isn't place in a nutral position it will either pull the barrel of the gun to the left or right. You have to find where to put your finger on the trigger so that it doesn't put pressure left or right on the barrel of your gun. Usually on the first pad of your trigger finger. If you tend to shoot to the left move your finger either in or out in very small movements on the pad of your finger. Your bullet impact with change either for the worse or better. If its worse move the opposite direction with your finger until you achieve a NUTRAL PRESSURE. Hope that made some since to you :-)

      @@tactical_bearded_hillbilly7130 super comfy. I've been a glock user a lot. Glock 17 specifically. This is so much more comfortable to hold and shoot (based on my hands). The bore axis which is brought up a few times is higher sadly so you get more recoil than a glock but it's accurate as hell and a nice full size pistol.

    Love this gun after 300 rounds through it!! I have the compact version. It eats rounds that my Walther PPQ doesn't...which REALLY impressed me. Fine handgun and so far my favorite I own. • @J-Rod73
      @J-Rod73 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I personally like both of those pistols equally. It is very hard to pick one over the other. In my personal experience, I think the PPQ is easier to carry and conceal inside the waist due to it's slimmer profile. But after several hundred rounds, the Sig P320 is yet to have ANY issues, where I had just ONE failure to fire a round with the PPQ at the range. I put that same round in the Sig P320 and it shot it like a champ first time. I'd still bet my life and family on both of them equally. 👍👍

    Got my P320 just a week ago. Great pistol. Ultra reliable, accurate, good balance, light, and no issues whatsoever with the trigger hurting my trigger finger. If I have a single complaint about the pistol, it's that the slide lock is very tiny and is harder to push down than I like, though I suppose it might become a bit easier to operate when the pistol is broken in. All in all, I would feel comfortable trusting my life to this pistol.

    I purchased APEX triggers for my P320's after experiencing that sting in my finger and it solved the problem for myself and many others. At the time, going that route was the only option. I have the 320C as does my wife. She has small hands and got the thinner shell. First double stack that she has been able to shoot comfortably with good trigger finger positioning. She has been shooting for 8 years now and knows what she is doing! (I am SO lucky!!) First time she shot a 320C she said "I want this gun"...She who must be obeyed. I got one because hers was such a good shooter for me too.. We had some initial problems with failure to extract issues (no limp wristing). We are both instructors so we know the usual "new shooter issues". Called Sig. They had a bad run of extractor springs. They sent me the springs and extractors under warrantee with a promise to replace or rebuild or do whatever was needed if that didn't fix it.. We were shooting cheap ammo..Blazer Brass. Shot ok with Federal. After replacing the springs and extractor and after 300 rounds each of the same Blazer and more carry ammo, they both shot flawlessly! Great gun, great Sig service, and we didn't have any of Hickok45's trigger finger issues.. probably an old basketball injury ? Too many "booger hunts"? He's a great guy and phenomenal shooter! I own and like Glocks and love 1911's but this is my usual carry gun now!

    This gun actually looks pretty damn good. It definitely has some nice extra features on it. Glad to see SIG being sensible and modern with their pistols. I'm seriously considering this baby over a Glock 17, and that's quite a feat. I'm planning on buying a decent full sized 9 mm at some point in the future as my first gun, and this might be it. Now, if they'd just hurry up and release it around the globe with a competitive price tag comparable to that of the 17 Gen 4, that'd be nice. Props to SIG, this could really give Glock some competition. And this was a good video as always Hickok.
