    I’ve always adored the idea of being a ballerina since I was a little girl, but I’ve never became one, so I’ve decided to teach myself at home

      Same I’m a boy I’m 5’3” and I’m not exactly skinny I’m a little on the chubby side not like most ballet boys I’ve decided after 16 years of quitting the sport to begin again at age 19 however it hasn’t been easy I love ballet so I’ve decided to teach myself at home

    Just a thought. I'm a graphic designer and perhaps adjusting the the overall tracking and kerning of your logo might help. It's a little tight and your show is so relaxing and loose. Just a designer observation.

    y’all it says beginner. if you want more go to a more advanced video? this is perfect for beginners who have NEVER danced (ballet) before, like she explained. we aren’t that flexible yet and don’t really know how to work/move our bodies and our bodies are not used to this yet. we can’t do much and we definitely can’t do it for a long period of time yet. we’re NEW. this is for NEW (ballet) dancers. it’s perfect. not too much. lots of loosening the body. if y’all want more then simply click off this BEGINNER video and go look for something that’s more your speed? it doesn’t make sense for y’all to sit here and hate on/critique and BEGINNER video if it’s too easy for you? you all want the “beginner” video to do more advanced things because it’s too easy for you? then it wouldn’t be a beginner video. even if you are a beginner and want more, go to a different video. it’s that simple.

    I wasn't in ballet long enough to develop any real skill (I was six when I stopped) but retained my flexibility. I'm coming back to it a bit for musical theatre because my turns aside from piques are weak. Doing Piques while studying for years has made them strong.

    i used to do ballet from a 3 year old child and up to my mid teens and I even made it on pointe shoes which at my dance school, you had to have impressed the head of the school to get to that stage but i decided to take part in other sports (aggressive ones), i became a footballer (soccer player to people from the USA) and i was tackled pretty badly and it damaged my right knee cap so badly i had to stop ballet and i was put on medication that made me gain weight rapidly then the typical depression set in and eating for eating's sake (not just because of my injury) plus i suffer from PCOS so an amalgamation of things but i'm not letting it beat me anymore, thank you for doing this

    Yelena,
    I was a swimmer for many years and i have bad posture. I know i will never be able to be a ballerina, but i have always loved ballet. How many times am I allowed to stretch? Or is it the more (slowly) the better? After doings these stretches, I notice my posture is already better! I would love to learn actual ballet from you tho. I am also from Russia :)

    When doing the leg lifts, how do you stay balanced? I know I'm very late to the party, but I've been doing Yelena's exercises for a few weeks now (and loving it) and I hope someone can answer my question, because I keep falling over unless I grab onto something ':)

    • @annettegenovesi
      @annettegenovesi 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the secret IS to grab onto something. Then as time goes on you can gradually let go when you feel more balanced. Also no need to lift legs all the way up, and who cares if your legs aren't perfectly straight?

  • @LynVJBennettWilson
    @LynVJBennettWilson 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a rare condition, just needed something I could to to improve grace and balance with stretching. So many of the exercise videos are about making an artistic body instead of making your body art.
