    A year ago, I switched from years of strength training with weights and cardio to vinyasa yoga and, recently barre. I wouldn't go back to my former routine for anything! Yoga and ballet barre are so mindful of posture and they really work the heck out of my muscles! I've never been so toned, lost so much fat and improved my flexibility... What's more, much less back pain than before. Thank you for those wonderful videos!

    Also, THANK YOU for not having pesky ads right in the middle of your workouts. Dont think people realize how difficult it is to stay focused on a workout when you constantly have to pause to skip ads.

      Yes, agreed! I’m sixty and trained in classical ballet from the age of 7. I’m trying to get back to “my roots” so to speak, this is wonderful!

      Barre as a group fitness class is not to be a classic ballet, just components of it...to be fair. If anyone told you otherwise they mislead you.

    this was amazing! I saved this a month ago, when i first did this i could not finish nor can i finish half of it, after a period try out different easier barre workouts. Today i challenged myself and i did it! I finished the entire workout. I still need to work hard on my posture though! This was amazing! I thank God that i get to finish this workout and the fact i get to learn ballet online. amazing video! great video! God bless!

    This is an interesting format. As a classically trained dancer, this movement appeals to me cuz it's basically a contemporary ballet barre, meaning the sequence doesn't follow the typical order of pliés, tendus, degagé, etc. (it kinda jumps around). But the movement is all classical ballet and these two are clearly professional dancers lol. Not many "fitness" moves here, but that's why I like it. This seems like it'd be a fun class for both dancers and non-dancers!

      Gail Granberry thank you for your input. I went to an IRL BARRE class and I was disappointed that the vibe was like an aerobics or jazzercise class- the very classes my introvert self tries to avoid. I expected it to be intense in terms of achieving form and control of movement but not for it to be so peppy to the point of sensory overload which kind of defeats recreating ballet for me.

    Fantastic workout. Thank you so much for choreographing and posting this. I've just come off four months of a calf injury and this programme is perfect for my recovery. It works the muscles intended, strengthens the general area and does not trigger any pain to my injured tissue. (Usual caveats about injury and exercise, consult your specialist before starting any physical training programme, take all necessary precautions etc etc.) Thanks again!

    I start ballet up again next week and I got moved up so I’m rlly trying to work on my strength and technique and this is honestly amazing for me
    It got my body working and I even sweat a little witch never happens when idk dance

    I love this ballet barre workout. I have been seeking a barre class that is based on ballet. I trained in classical ballet in NYC. I now live on the boarders of Venice and Santa Monica. It has been difficult to find an authentic ballet barre class in the Los Angeles area. One amazing studio I discovered is called Swerve in the West Hollywood area. Unfortunately its a long drive from where I live. I highly recommend Sleek Technique! Cheers.

    I love this ballerina workout, however I’m a bit confused on what it supposed to do a lot of people saying it will “tone your legs“ but what does it mean to tone your legs exactly? I’m a little confused, is it for weight loss to get rid of fat and replace it with muscles? Someone please explain

    I was deterred from ballet due to the lack of money one would make from it. Now im older and learned you can just do thing you like. This is such a nice video for complete beginners to start working to be comfortable doing.

If every day is hard to fit in them at least tree times a week is a fantastic start.     I do not have a dancer's body (pear shaped grandma) and would be too embarrassed to show up at a dance class. Now I can get more fit & pretend I have a dancer's body!

      I can relate!!! I started with exercising again only 2 days ago after being too lazy for a long time. The First time is the hardest to start for me. Once I start with doing the exercises I don't have to push myself that much anymore. I feel energized, that's bc I am so happy that I finally got over myself and started. After that the next time it's so much easier to start. I just have to keep it up and do sth. every day or every other day whatever works for you, so that I don't loose the momentum. If you don't have a lot of time do 10 minutes only on some days but don't stop totally. You will get used to it and don't have to push yourself any more. For me it's all in my head. It also helps in case you're thinking I can't do everything correctly , it doesn't make sense to even start: Even exercises done less than perfect will lead to improvement as long as you are careful that you don't injure yourself. I don't know if this is any help to you or if it makes sense , but that's what works for me.

    I danced ballet/pointe for many years and taught. I've never found ANYTHING that keeps my body looking as good as barre!

    This was lovely! I was a ballerina and an Irish dancer for years, and I thought I was no longer flexible, but the muscle memory really helped for a lot of these stretches!

    This is perfect! I work from home which requires a lot of sitting. It's recommended to get up and move for a few minutes at least every hour, if not half hour. Walking is recommended, but impossible when working. I tried yoga, but found it difficult in my space getting on the floor. I took a over decade of dance as a youth and knew that a ballet routine holding onto the back of my office chair would work perfectly. I search multiple videos and found this company to be the best. I break the video up into a sections that are a few minutes a piece and complete them throughout the day. It's the perfect office workout! Thank you!

      If you are not used to working them in this range of motion, it may feel strange or ache for a little while you build strength in your ankles. If it is pain you are experiencing then please do omit any demi point work and do get it checked out. V&F x

    I had been taking a Barre fitness class at a local gym and have been away from it for about a year. This video is the best motivation in technique and lengthening that I have experienced in trying many other things. I'm going to make this my habit for a time and progress from here.     I enjoy this routine so very much! I am a busy working mother to 3 boys, but i can always find time and energy for this workout because is only 15 minutes and quite enjoyable yet still challenging. I have been doing this 15 minute body sculpting barre workout of yours for over 2 months now and really see a difference! My balance has improved and my legs muscles look less bulky, more lean. Thank you for sharing this wonderful workout. You ladies are both so fit, beautiful and inspiring.

    I own a yoga studio, and teach 7 days a week (yoga, pilates, and yogalates.) I'm always looking for things to add to my Yogalates classes, and since you can use a chair for this, it works great. And as a 70 year old man, I actually find it lots of fun.
