..... Looks like my Meyer's hardtop & doors ... Mine has those long yet narrow rear windows, on the sides of the rear hatch ... My metal doors also have roll up windows ... Good to see a sweet CJ like yours, with this set up ... Regards ..... 🇺🇸
Sweet CJ! It looks great! I daily drive my '77 cj5 with a 304, and it keeps up with traffic no problem(a 4 cyl may have problems). As far as the other "downsides" like noise and smells, some will hate them, some will like them, I happen to be in the latter group. The "stuff breaks" argument is kind of b/s- new cars break too, sometimes more often. The repairs cost more, and are more complicated, if they are even able to be done. With the old cj's you were never reliant on anyone else, everything was able to be fixed at home or even on the side of the road. Good luck if you have some sensor go out in a modern car(time to wait for a tow). The thing to remember is if you don't want to fix your own things then maybe an older car isn't for you(anyone about to buy an older car), but your other option is to pay through the nose, so choose your poison. I have had 4 cj's in my lifetime and they are more reliable and less expensive to own(by a significant amount) then any modern(post-1998) car.
