2:10 for these low end GPU specs we have some new information and it is fair to speculate these are for the handheld.
Feel like I have seen this same video 20 times before.
Thats because you have.. and if you don't keep your mouth shut they will come after you. We don't talk about that kind of crazy around here.
And we will see it again
Why?
Just 6 more months of seeing it

One day Battlemage is cancelled, next day it's coming in HOT.
I think the cancellation rumors are put out on purpose to build more hype. In the end it's all about boosting money. I could be wrong tho. Just a hunch.
I expect the same from AMD next graphics card generation.
@@myamaha62 Agreed, I don't think AMD's cancelling their high end esp with the recent earnings call from their current gen GPUs.
yep
It's because everyone including their grand parents love to spread rumors instead of the actual truth
A750 -> B980 seems like a nice upgrade.
A shame it seems expected performance is less than speculated. In a previous video about the b980 it was shown at 250% almost matching the rtx 4080.
But honestly this is a more realistic take.
That was just clickbait lmao, they not gonna reach 4080 levels
Not unless Intel spends way more then necessary
With their improvements on their driver software, I could see BM's good potential possible on day one release.
It's very possible that the reason why it is having such a late release is because they want the drivers to be as good as possible before release so it isn't a repeat of the arc launch
I wondered if Intel are doing an AMD and focusing on integrated cpu/gpu even for desktop. Battlemage is late, very late compared to the original Intel road map, maybe this is because they saw the landscape changing for graphics and wanted to be a leader not a follower and so went back to the drawing board in parts. MAYBE I'm wrong and it's just taken longer than planned... good things come to those who wait :)
We waited to Alchemist, look how that went
No you shouldn't wait
@@kzip2009 its not hard to wait when the only other person making gpu's to care about wont be talking about them till Sept the earliest. Waiting is gonna happen anyway.
4000 series is can kiss my butt.
Does the Intel Arc Control Panel have a Custom Color Settings page similar to AMD? I often like to tinker with color temperatures from cool to warm.
Hopefully they will get the drivers right, if they do and the price/performance compared to the others is good I will go with intel.
We need more VRAM in battlemage NVIDIA is barley giving us the minimum
Intel and AMD are both stingy too. I would like to see 64GB VRAM minimum, but the best from Nvidia and AMD is 24GB while Intel only does 16GB. If you want more, you need super expensive professional cards.
@@richardyao9012your crazy
@@richardyao9012 what the heck is your setup that you need more than 24GB of VRAM for gaming? 16GB is fine right now even for 4k gaming, 8GB will get you by for 1080p the only people that would want more than that are the people do was doing super high end professional stuff, who are using those super expensive professional cards.
I would love to believe this, but I don't. PROVE ME WRONG INTEL.
I will buy one for the mentioned price, absolutely!
I love hot hard and buff men
I MEAN GPU's!
Me too. About GPUs though - prefer them compact and cool
😳
Remind me to care when they will be as software compatible as Nvidia and will have a CUDA equivalent for AI training
You say this but even AMD doesn't really have an equivalent yet so... kinda irrelevant atm. Though I heard the Arc cards actually do decent with certain AI workloads and such.
If this turns out to be true and it's decent I may make a gaming console for my TV with this. Just a small little steam box so to speak. I've been itching to build one since my tower is so huge and hard to bring to friends houses for game nights.
how is their VR support for Meta/Vive
for intel we need to wait 10 gens to see their GPU
Man the release can’t come soon enough
All of us dream of the day someone actually puts up some competition against Nvidia on more than just rasterization. Everyone says "wait for AMD/Intel" each generation, and we're always either disappointed and stay with Nvidia, or settle for the cheaper option because Nvidia wants to R-word your wallet.
After the launch of the rx 7600xt 16gb I have low expectations for amd to offer any good value for gpus anymore
R-word was funny. I'll continue to support amd as I don't really give a s-word about the super high end and I like to keep an unR-worded wallet.
@@jasonvors1922good value or high performance? Their VALUE is way higher than NVIDIA. Their cost per FPS in most games is way lower. This idea that because they don’t make a GPU for crypto miners and the rare gamer that has performance overkill brainrot, it makes them worse, is stupid
"Everyone says "wait for AMD/Intel" each generation" Well Intel is new, so... no, no one says that. This time there is BM to wait for, but lets be real, you are waiting for 5000 series anyway.
@@xBINARYGODx Seeing what nvidia did with the 40 series with the hardcore gimping with everything lower than the 4090, Than the amazing connector melting issue the 50 series will be a joke to.
I've been thinking about buying the arc a750. But the price isn't really good where I from. Waiting for next gen instead. Hopefully they make it cheaper here.
still reluctant because of the drivers issues on the games i am interrested in unfortunatly
Every new driver update has increased performance significantly on the current ones. What games are you playing that have issues?
Unless you only play GTA V, Detroit: Become Human, and Starfield, Arc is fine. I've been daily driving an Arc laptop since 2022 and it's come a very long way. The majority of the time it performs like any other entry level laptop GPU. There are very few games that are a big problem on Arc nowadays.
By the time it ships,Nvidia will be ready to and start discounting the 40 series
be interesting just for av1 encoding
my question is would the b580 be better then a a750 or no
we have yet to get hardware specifications
If those specs and price are correct Intel might actually have something this time around if they can get the day 1 drivers up to par. That said I always take all these leaks and marketing with more than a grain of salt until the hardware is actually out and people can test/benchmark.
Also I believe it has to be matching and challenging 4080 at this late of the game. 1 year late as the 50 series is launching at the same time.
Exactly. I can't argue the value of 4070s perf at $4-450 but with 50 series launching 4080 should be the target. $5-550
That maybe true but unlike the competition they have to work twice as hard to get caught up with drivers and trying to keep up while, The competition doesn't have to worry about getting support and gets all the support they want, Meanwhile new releases don't even have the Intel cards listed in the system requirements.
@@jasonvors1922 XeSS XMX is about as capable as the DLSS. There is not much between. Then we have the APO that isn't been talked much that can give 10-50% boost. ARC is paired with INTEL CPU and it seems that can give 20%. Lot of potential that isn't been talked about. My guess is because most of these channels have heavy AMD/Nvidia sponsorship behind them. But in my eyes the Battlemage is late. We should be seeing Celestial end of the year or start of 2025. Instead Nvidia went with their "Super" and it seems the 50 series will be launched at the same time as Battlemage. That is very bad for INTEL and they have to cut the prices. There are AMD releases and Nvidia releases. It splits the releases. In the end I see INTEL having almost as much supported XeSS games than the competition.
well if its a 4080 that costs way less and nvidia keeps the bs priceing with the 5000 series, then intel will move plenty of GPU's so long as the software is better this time.
@@xBINARYGODx I believe it will be around 4080. Some rumors showed some shipping manifest with Battlemage chips that were around A770 mark but as it seems those might have been for the handheld that is also in development.
B980 Xe 64/256 bus/16-24gb/250-300W
B970 Xe 56/256 bus/16gb/225-250W (launch after B980)
Mobile Xe 40/192 bus/12gb (launch 2025 with the new mobile CPU)
These specs have been knows for some time. B980 as is already is matching 4080 by these specs. But these specs do not take in count Intel Application Optimization (APO) that has a performance boost of 10-50% in supported games. Also XeSS XMX is matching Nvidia's DLSS very closely. The catch is that you have to pair the ARC with INTEL CPU. For Alchemist I believe there is still about 20% on the table paired with INTEL CPU. We see the gap getting wider with every driver update to AMD CPU. My opinion is that INTEL had to launch the Alchemist with a compromise to perform equally with AMD CPU to sell. That is also why I think INTEL is in news failing with their high end CPU's. This is deliberate sabotage in my eyes from Asus. No other manufacturer has problems. base is 400A by INTEL. Asus pushing it to 511A where the chips fails. Now only giving 280A to under perform. On Asus even if you manually set the correct values the score is just under 37000. The correct score is almost 38000. So Asus seems to be compensating their own shortcomings or even worse been paid to give bad publicity. It is a high stakes game where Nvidia already was forced to launch "Super" for their 40 series in fear of Battlemage. I think INTEL lost that launch window and now is actively working on drivers and APO.
Intel released the A580 last, and now it will release the B580 first? Then who will buy A580? It does not make any sense.
At those price points, I could buy an A770 now, and a B980 when they come out, and still spend less than the cost of a 4070
I'll believe it when I see the actual benchmarks...
I can’t wait for Intel to have a decade of gpu making experience. They have potential
I wonder if it really is a big difference, 6800 vs 7800 really wasn't a big difference even though lots of improvements were done and yes I'm aware intel vs. AMD design is completely different, I'm just wondering.
The problem that Intel has to overcome is that its XeSS-based technology appears in most games, not only so that the mode can be used for "all" but also its specific hardware that is what can give them that extra to offer similar results to Nvidia in that section and in the RT, being a true market option to AMD cards, which in this generation, should be Intel's first objective.
Can't wait to see Intel's next GPUs around I do sincerely hope is very good!
Value is an underrated thing
5090 and DP 2.1 or bust
My bad misread the chart 😊
release will be Q1 2025.
why? well Q4 2024 is reserved for their new "Core Ultra" cpu's
Arc pricing wasn't really that great. I caved and got an A770 8GB for a Plex machine, but only because it was open box $150 from MicroCenter. Performance really doesn't seem that great in games I have tried. These were supposed to be 3070 level and barely competed with 3060/Ti. Sometimes 3050.
Mine is about the same as my 6700xt give or take.
b580 ...so basically its a 12gb 200$ version of the a770 . if it got 2 encoders and decoders im getting it right away (the rx 6600 is not good enough anymore)
They need to launch within the next 2 months. If they wait for Nvidia, the 5060ti probably is a better buy.
Price is impressive
I tried to wait but they took too long. Had to upgrade my 770 with a 4080.
Fuck me i going to upgarde my self mine rtx 3070 to something better but damn that B980 is allmost the same performance as 7900gre and for even more less movey allmost 200 eur less if thats gonna be true im buying that shit right away.
could arc cards do deep machine learning
They are gaming GPUs, who cares? I’m glad they aren’t focusing on making them good at AI and Crypto mining because I’m tired of the prices skyrocketing due to high demand
Yes, they're quite good at it too. Arc are generally a little bit better for productivity than gaming.
I love when you do that lmao
Got sick of waiting on a 1660 Super... PAINFUL playing some games like Star Citizen so I've just purchased an Alchemist A750 ( Waiting for it to arrive )... If Battlemage ends up being such a buttkicker, then I'll give the Alchemist to my son and buy one
If Intel comes out with 48GB of Ram or more, ai folks will be jumping on it.
New builds will be good as the ARC works best on INTEL CPU.
Why does it specifically work good on intel cpu? Any feature or reason?
@@MJsPrOuTsnot yet, they promised some sort of optimization but if it was released they told nobody
@MJsPrOuTs , there is no difference in terms of game performance. The one area where you will get a benefit from running arc with an intel cpu is for video encoding because arc can leverage the igpu on recent intel cpus to improve quicksync performance, but you have to have a recent intel cpu with an igpu; not the F variant.
@@MJsPrOuTs It is already looking like 20% bump with INTEL CPU. ARC architecture is different to AMD/Nvidia and the latest driver updates are boosting the pairing with INTEL CPU. Matching architecture. My view is that to sell INTEL made a compromise to have AMD CPU working almost the same. Now it seems there is plenty on the table for optimizing with INTEL CPU. So when the Battlemage hits the shops your best option is to pair it with high end INTEL CPU. Check Intel Application Optimization (APO). Still very new but it promises 10-50% boost.
Unfortunately Intel’s fumble on the recent gen CPUs dying means AMD CPUs look much more enticing now
would be truly great if its Ray and Pathtracing performance is in that range.
Mr bossftw for gamers
AMD and now Intel really love to f*ck themselves in the ass with these release dates. Like do these people actually think that dropping new GPUs AFTER Nvidia drops theirs makes them more money? Wouldn't AMD get a nice hype boost in sales if they released before NVidia? And wouldn't the same be true with Intel? Like Intel should do everything to drop GPUs BEFORE AMD, because than instead of only being good value (assuming they would actually be good value) it could also have a potential of making AMD and NVidialook completely stupid with their price to perf ratio.
They're working on releasing arc igpus first as that's an easy sell. It's hard to be first when you don't have the money of Nvidia devoted to gpus, even if you try to beat them to market they'll probably have something ready to go
@@nimrodery I am almost sure it is not about money. Intel probably plays different game, kinda like Nintendo in world of consoles. Theywon't go for performance crown and no-one expects them to do it, so they will wait for other two to release something and set pricing. An Intelw ill price Battlemage accordingly. With AMD it is also most likely not a problem of money or NVidia being ready. They are just grifters. They learned that people talk about them better when they present themselves as underdogs. So they wait for NVidia's pricing to put their pricing as close as possible but still lower to be "the more consumer friendly". Of course in this calculation they mostly ignore NVidia's superiority in RT and features like DLSS or FG. I think people sitting there simply prefer to sell less GPUs for higher unit price, rather than more GPUs for lower price. But this gen AMD will f*ck itself over more than with 7000 series and *etarded pricing. Because now with no high-end they will compete against Battlemage from the bottom (most likely) and Alchemist had better 1st gen RT than AMD, their own 7000 series, NVidia's 40 series and low to mid 50 series. And they also release late. Can't wait to see the pricing and then sales after 1st couple of months.
5000 series is not coming before battlemage - an a 4080, perhaps, but that costs much less is a good deal especially if 5000 series is still prices like shit and is not some massive improvement (which the 3000 and 4000 have not been existing at all).
The B980 is not a thing. The 9 implies enthusiast tier, which Intel has said it is not targeting yet. 40 Xe cores also sounds dubious to me, since that strongly implies the top card will not be the full die. I think either your "B980" is actually a B750 to an unseen B770 with 56 Xe cores, which is unlikely, there will be a full die reserved for Arc Pro, more plausible, or the 40 Xe core number is just wrong and the B770 is 32 Xe cores with 16GB of memory to replace the A770, with the rest of the Battlemage lineup mirroring Alchemist. Given the supposed performance figures I've seen of Battlemage in Lunar Lake engineering sample benchmarks which I think are way more credible than random numbers from unnamed sources, then this seems like the most likely option. If desktop Battlemage scales the same way over desktop Alchemist as integrated Battlemage seems to over integrated Alchemist, then they shouldn't need any more than 32 Xe cores to be very competitive with RDNA4.
These will compete nicely with RTX40 cars but the majour issue will be they will be out just as RTX50s are here so will unless Nvidia stiff customers again with big price rise again be pointless.
why wouldnt nvidia price like shit again? anyway, 5000 series not com,ing till after battlemage
Ye Pehelwan hai, ye kuch bhi kar sakta hai

You should try talking with your real voice 👀. so FOS!!!
You can buy a RTX 3080 12GB used right now for 399 so how does the same spec/price Battlemage card better it six months from now when the new Nvidia lineup is out and makes the 4 year old card even cheaper? Intel is still no competition.
Power consumption, die size, and proprietary frame gen support from the top of my head. If it's between a 4070S and a 4070 Ti, it would also be notably faster than the 3080 12GB. The used market will always be inherently better than the new market if you know what you're doing, but most people are very stubborn about sticking to the convenience, straightforwardness, and security that comes with buying new.
@@Vorexia I know what ya mean but how would it be noticeably faster when both cards are 30 teraflops and Nvidia has better drivers?
@@Jolly-Green-SteveRumors are just that take it with a huge grain of salt, The Intel arc cards are past that 30 teraflops
🥱
No gpu should be 16gb or less today.
This is going to age like milk for sure.
When Nvidia's 50's series releases the price on the 40's will more closely resemble Intel's price structure. They will end up being very competitive. Nvidia's 50 series will still be top dog on the market. And AMD will challenge that. Intel is trying to support cards that are competing with current generation, while the next generation is ready to release. I assume this will be the case when they release the Celestial line as well. Competing Intel C series will face up with the 50's... D's with the 60's. I think we've seen Intel's real plan. They have moved most of their team off of BM because they are ready to release by the end of the year.
The issue though is nvidia is offering you less every generation, The rtx 4060/4060ti is pretty much the rtx 4050/4050ti but with a huge price tag the rtx 4070 is the 4060 and the rtx 4060ti is the rtx 4070 super so the rtx 4070ti/super variant is just a rebaged 4070 graphics card with extra steps and costs more for no reason. Only card worth 2cents is the rtx 4090 cause it isn't gimped
"And AMD will challenge that." lol riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
This is the same once mighty Intel that is struggling to compete with AMD CPUs?
No intel processors anymore!
Drivers are the main issue....
B980 with 100+ degrees and 200 W idle ? no ty -_-
These cards are dead on arrival, to little to late.
Say that to nvidia with their unrealistic pricing 🤣
Bro what? Considering the last few Intel GPU gens were a couple gens behind on performance, the next one being inline with current gen is an insane jump! That kind of progress is huge.
