It's Time to ruin the low mileage C6 Grand Sport Corvette with mods. My son decided he wanted a set of longtube headers on his c6 Grand Sport Corvette. Since he is ballin on a budget he pick the Speed Engineering 2" Longtubes and off road x pipe. I know that some will think 1 7/8" would have been better but if he does add forced induction down the road the bigger primary tubes will be worth it. I have to say the install of the headers was pretty easy. The X-pipe took a little more work. The 2" Longtube Headers from Speed engineering slid right into place and fit great. They are stainless and should hold up well. I have used them on several cars in the past. With the new headers and no catalytic converters the car is way louder. It sounds good. What is even better is this car has factory npp exhaust with a mild to wild switch. It gives you the ability to close and open on demand. Quiet or loud you pick! If you are looking for a how to install c6 header video or a good quality header that won't break the bank, this is it. Quality of the welds and fitement for the C6 Corvette is amazing. A Great header for the LS3 if you are on a budget. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

Great commentary, love the SE fitment. Finding it impossible to find a GS Dry Sump w/Cats installation vid anywhere😟 sounds like you’ve done a few of these, any significant differences I should be aware of?
Not really. I personally like kooks and arh but these do fit well
@racerrick35 did you find an install vid or did you attempt for your G6 M6 Dry Sump? I’m in the same boat with my 13 GS and so close to pulling the trigger on headers
I found one, but the instructions were useless, and the OP never responded. It eventually disappeared from YT.

Ive ran speed engineering headers on two of my vehicles and i love them. For the price they are hard to beat.

Did you ever have the car dyno tuned with the headers? If so what did it make hp and tq wise?
No.
I installed the 1 7/8 SE headers on my 08 ls3 paired with a vararam and my car made 413/412. Very strong gains throughout the mid range. Went from 12.4 best stock pass @ 116 down to 11.82 @ 121. Feels like a completely different car. Mine sounds exactly like his on idle with the npp open.

If you are looking for performance per buck=speed engineering. If you want to build a garage princess with high quality parts and you want it to last until int's next owner=Kooks. I just swapped from my 1 7/8 koos to the 2 inch speed engineering.

It apparently is a lot easier putting headers on a C6 than an f-body.
Night and day easier
My speed engineering headers on my f body(installed by previous owner) fit like crap. Thought a umi k member would improve clearance and fit but was actually worse than stock k member. SE headers vibrated against stock k member but they are hard against umi k member.
Crazy. Similar with my Trans am when they were on it. These fit great however
