+Akylas Strat My dad said that Brando was an excellent actor especially when he played a tough guy because in real life Brando was a wimp. This is more than just his simple opinion; he went to high school with Brando and use to go on double dates with his sister Francis .
Derek Meddings won a shared award for his special effects work on the first 1970s Superman movie. This is the same Derek Meddings who designed or co-designed ALL of the spaceships, aircraft & vehicles for Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, UFO, Space 1999 & pretty much everything Gerry Anderson ever did. The man was a true creative genius, even though most people have never heard of him.
Maybe I'm alone in this, but I loved Superman III when I was a kid (and still do). That junkyard fight between evil/not really evil Superman and good Clark Kent made the movie for me. Also, Superman fixes the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
As a kid I had zero issues with Superman III and IV. I can look on them now and see they are kinda shit, but kids don't really have standards like that.
the man made delivers that felt genuine because they were, his method although crazy was effective, by saying them as they happen it gives a more authentic feel
It's kinda like going to a 5 star restaurant, and rather than the dish you ordered, the chef serves a brand new dish he invented just for you. Maybe not what you intended, but still amazing.
Batman & Robin is actually a lot more enjoyable if you think of it as a Throwback to the Adam West version. ... It's a fricken _amazing_ movie if you take a shot every time someone says a pun.
David Prowse was also the Green Cross Code man when I was a kid. Teaching kids how to cross roads without getting run over. Myself and another kid had been run over about 6 months before (separate incidents), so I'm not sure if it was in response to that or not. He came to our school when I was, I think, 6 or 7, so I got to meet him. I remember thinking he was the biggest person I'd ever met!
I've never entirely understood why Superman needed to be a beefcake. He's strong because of the way his physiology reacts to our sun and not because he's muscular.
@@impalabeeper Not only this, but he was big in the comics as well. Why not have him as a beefcake? It could always be spun as the sun/atmosphere gave him nutrients his alien body relished.
Malcolm LaPrairie Again not true, Batman and Superman have always been in the same universe in the comics, they are even in the same team Justice League.
6:50 Excuse me, what DOESN'T make sense about penguin pallbearers ushering Danny DeVito into a watery grave? The man doesn't even know what the fuck a Pokemon is for Christ's sake.
Lol I’m in this video!! I’m the main focal point with Superman with his arm out! Day of The dead! I’m also in a big protest scene with Amy Adams look at the picture to your left! 😂
5:38 Yes, Lois. If you shoot me, it's just going to bounce off me. But then I'm going to go up to my room and pack my bags and I'm leaving and I'm never coming back! Friends don't shoot friends, Lois!
+Richard Hanney If you're referring to the fact that you'd be technically letting the warm in due to the fact that the more energetic or warmer molecules would move to the colder areas by a matter of course then you have my support.
The damn thing is not even in theaters yet and here you are trying to plug it. I can't wait for your 7 Things You (Probably) Didn't Know About The Incredibles 2.
They were best buds for some decades in the comics (see World's Finest Comics) until 1986 with Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns which broke that friendship from then to the present day.
Perhaps you mentioned in another video but in your discussion of actors considered for Superman was also Nicholas Cage who had a costume made and went through a variety of photo shoots.
I irrationally thought this was going to be it, the Coralline episode when saw "7 things you..." pop up in my notifications. I'm still left waiting. :/
Brando didn't even like acting that much, apparently. He said people thought he was good at it, it paid good, so he just did it. He said if he could do something else for the same pay, he would. Don't know if that's a rumor or not, but it's what I've heard.
Cool. It'd be nice to see something like this for Superman Returns and Man of Steel... Maybe even mention stuff about that Nicolas Cage and Tim Burton Superman movie that never happened.
1. Superman preceded Batman for 11 years. 2. The producers wanted a non star for Superman. 3. David Prowse was Superman 's trainer. 4. Superman went out to being a huge hit. 5. Richard Donner shot 60 - 70 % for Superman 2. 6. Keeping Catwoman alive was a last minute decision. 7. It was difficult to take Penguins for the film. 8. Batman and Robin was more toy - etic.
I love/hate knowing i grew up in the Tim Burton/Joel Shumaker era and that. Batman Forever was the first Batman movie i saw and that Batman and Robin Was the one i fell in love with Batman as a whole. It was also the first time as a kid, i thought that Arnold Schwarzenegger was the greatest actor at the time.(Really little kid) Either way, people talk how the last two ruin the movies but for me, they were the reason i grew up to enjoy the super hero genre as well as getting into everything else. Hell, Star Trek got me into Science watching the classics, Star Wars got me into Sci-fi, etc, but its disappointing hearing the negative in the movies. I am one of the few people who actually enjoyed the movies for what they are and that is entertainment. They weren't trying to be serious, they were just making movies with the last two. If you ask me about BvS now, i think that is meant to be serious and when it fails that it is probably as bad as a failure as were the last two batman films.
+newparkshire I liked the book (not great but a nice read), but i stopped the show after 3 episodes. Franco is a terrible lead, the episodes feel rushed and incomplete. I know every adaptation has to cut the material, but with the show, the overall plot made little sense. I read the book so I knew what to expect, but if I were discovering the story fresh with the show, I would have been "wait, why is he doing that ?". You don't believe in his "mission".
I really like Batman & Robin; Schwarzenegger remains infinitely quotable, and the movie looks like the 60s Batman on acid. Also, the death of the Penguin in Returns is one of the most weirdly emotional character deaths in movies.
I always found it funny that Batman and Robin is so unpopular because to this day it is still my favourite Batman movie and I can't stand the new Dark Knight movies which are apparently very popular. Well to each their own I guess lol.
Actually, I remember learning that Christopher Reeve was being convinced to wear fake muscles, but it was he himself who decided he'd do the role justice and get ripped on his own volition. Poor guy, he made Superman such a likable dork, hope they go through w/ that stem cell research some day
It's possibly been said, but it got so bad with Brando that he wears a (noticeably visible) ear piece in The Score, in which his lines are read to him during filming. The man was... well, he was Marlon Brando.
TheBeezNeez 81 Marlon Brando gave up with hard work after on the waterfront. He did a mixture of reading and ad-lib for the rest of his career and 90% of the time it pays off. hell even Apocalypse now it pays off
yop, pretty fucked up attitude the dude had... I mean if you cant or wont remember some words and calling for a fortune idk who is more stupid. the Studio or Brando
Just too clear this up a little cause it bugs me. The reason the bat team has the silver and black suits was because they were meant to be cold suits to help protect them from Mr. Freeze
+margareth michelina The fight was adapted from the dark knight returns. Everything else was original and the end of adapted from Death of Superman. Essentially these were 3 stories turned into one movie
It's funny. You mentioned the Fortress of Solitude. Most people don't know that the writers of Superman STOLE it from a pulp magazine hero from the 1930's.....
Not really related but I Was wondering what happened from a legal point of view with the Spiderman character. How Was Marvel allowed to put him in Civil War ? I Know You probably already planned it and it's REALLY early but perhaps You could an episode about civil war.
Damn Brando, highhest paid actor, doesn't even learn his 10 lines of dialog, lol savage.
+Akylas Strat whats the savgae?
+Akylas Strat My dad said that Brando was an excellent actor especially when he played a tough guy because in real life Brando was a wimp. This is more than just his simple opinion; he went to high school with Brando and use to go on double dates with his sister Francis .
+bjbell52 Damn..
bjbell52 ya , i get it .... SAVAGE KING !!!
hes done this in a lot of movies, and is known to be a fuckn disaster to work with.
Tim Burton telling the penguins they're doing a good job. this is why Batman Returns is one of my favorite batman movies.
Chase Endricks they're*
I love Batman Returns, too. I don't know why it seems to get ignored, forgotten, or shit on.

3:17 Wow Reeve rockin some super-sweaty pits here!

Literally me, in any kind of light-colored shirt

how the hell does an actor who doesn't memorize lines, the one thing actors are expected to do, become one of the most renowned actors of all time?
Babalooza Delivery.
Babalooza skill
the man made delivers that felt genuine because they were, his method although crazy was effective, by saying them as they happen it gives a more authentic feel
It's kinda like going to a 5 star restaurant, and rather than the dish you ordered, the chef serves a brand new dish he invented just for you. Maybe not what you intended, but still amazing.
He didn't do what he was expected to do. So he became great, that's how most great people become great, they buck the norms of what is expected.
Dave Prowse came to my school when I was about 8. He taught kids how to cross the road safely.
I can't believe they didn't mention David Prowse was also Julian, the huge bodyguard, in A Clockwork Orange.
I met Dave Prowse a couple of years ago at a convention in Northern England
I like how in the catwoman bit, she says "hear me roar" and the background music does this electronic fart thing.
So I was wondering are you guys ever gonna talk about Smallville or even Gotham on any of these shows?
Holy shit Brando made almost 14 million bucks by today's currency inflation for 1978.
What cost $3700000 in 1978 would cost $13581476.34 in 2015.
such a great channel...
Jenner could play Superman and Supergirl at the same time.
LOOOOL
And Batman as he/she is also a murderer.
No man should make that much money selling his gender out like that.
From wich movie is the batman superman logo that you youse in the intro after the iron man sceen
Batman & Robin is actually a lot more enjoyable if you think of it as a Throwback to the Adam West version.
... It's a fricken _amazing_ movie if you take a shot every time someone says a pun.
I love these lists!!!!!! So informative
Anyone else see Donald Trump's face in the clouds at 2:22?
now I can't unsee that
Peanut Turner lol in the clouds 😂😂😂😂 maybe that was Trump face
Peanut Turner holly shit I thought I was the only that saw that.
Lol
Good eye.

You are right although for an average viewer, they are accustomed to the traditional look on how a strong man should look like.
@@impalabeeper Not only this, but he was big in the comics as well. Why not have him as a beefcake? It could always be spun as the sun/atmosphere gave him nutrients his alien body relished.
Holy shit, did batman just say "that's why superman works alone"?!?!
Yeah?
+CoolKwaz well usually in the superhero genre (marvel , dc) don't like to name drop other properties but I guess I was wrong
+Malcolm LaPrairie You do know both Batman and Superman are DC right?
+Jewasaurus Rex yes I am
Aware of that lmao. I mean it's just strange since DC prefers to keep
Their properties separate.
Malcolm LaPrairie Again not true, Batman and Superman have always been in the same universe in the comics, they are even in the same team Justice League.

Christopher Reeves was the perfect Superman
People give Cavill Superman shit but the first chance he got Reeve Supes gave up his powers for a piece of ass.
5:38 Yes, Lois. If you shoot me, it's just going to bounce off me. But then I'm going to go up to my room and pack my bags and I'm leaving and I'm never coming back!
Friends don't shoot friends, Lois!
Bruce Jenner would've been a completely different Superman, especially after you-know-what from last year.
Superwoman
huh Jenner would have been perfect for Thor then...before and after >.>
+MrDJWW clever lol
+Soren Saunders True... no way Superman would be a dyed in the wool Republican.
+MrDJWW lol I hope people get the joke
I loved number 5! "Let it go" hahaha
'Left the door open and let the cold out'...? Tut tut.
+Richard Hanney If you're referring to the fact that you'd be technically letting the warm in due to the fact that the more energetic or warmer molecules would move to the colder areas by a matter of course then you have my support.

Good video Cinefix!
The superman batman logo in the intro witch movie is that
The damn thing is not even in theaters yet and here you are trying to plug it. I can't wait for your 7 Things You (Probably) Didn't Know About The Incredibles 2.
Michael Keaton is my favorite Batman! I love the 1989 film and the sequel as well.
Loved the video!
They were best buds for some decades in the comics (see World's Finest Comics)
until 1986 with Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns which broke that friendship from then to the present day.
DO 7 THINGS YOU DIDNT KNOW ABOUT WILLIE WONKA!! (both movies)
Movie was awesome. The fights felt absolutely furious and powerful.
+Gustavo Almanza bot
What's the difference-The Great Gatsby
4 movies plus a lost film, yeah it could be a good whats the difference
I'm one of the few that actually like Batman and Robin, it was my first Batman film as a kid (along side the Michael Keaton's Batman).
Perhaps you mentioned in another video but in your discussion of actors considered for Superman was also Nicholas Cage who had a costume made and went through a variety of photo shoots.
That was for an 80s superman not the 70s original.
Awesome, knew almost none of this and I'm a massive fan of these films, smiling all the way through.
I irrationally thought this was going to be it, the Coralline episode when saw "7 things you..." pop up in my notifications. I'm still left waiting. :/
2:45 omg I almost died XD

Yep
excellent episode!
Brando didn't even like acting that much, apparently. He said people thought he was good at it, it paid good, so he just did it. He said if he could do something else for the same pay, he would. Don't know if that's a rumor or not, but it's what I've heard.
3:19 That Sweat stain is Hilarious!
I wonder if sups will still have that scar on his cheek when he returns?
"Every working penguin in Hollywood" that tickled me! Lol
Cool. It'd be nice to see something like this for Superman Returns and Man of Steel... Maybe even mention stuff about that Nicolas Cage and Tim Burton Superman movie that never happened.
+Surprised Robot Have you ever watched that documentary The Death of Superman Lives?
Giovanni Alckmim Russo Yes, but it would be funny to see what these guys have to say about it. It was really interesting.
My dreams would be complete if the new Batman movies are titled Dark Knight, Red Hood, and Sons of Batman
Fear of commitment is saying Superman first during the intro but having Batman first on the video title.
Looking forward to part 2
So, basically... WB have always been destroying their "superhero" franchises by not believing in the capability of their directors... hm...
1. Superman preceded Batman for 11 years.
2. The producers wanted a non star for Superman.
3. David Prowse was Superman 's trainer.
4. Superman went out to being a huge hit.
5. Richard Donner shot 60 - 70 % for Superman 2.

3:20 Christopher Reeve is sweating like crazy. Good thing that’s just a screen test.
Do one on the Lord of the rings original trilogy. I need this
I get to watch it tommorow, can't wait!
Sebastien O. My great fear, is that it'll be a setup fora justice league movie, and I hope it's not.

AGuyWithAChannel it strange Marlon as a guy seems ok. Marlon as professional actor is a dick
Same here
Why ?
I might have to watch superman again.
you should do Little Shop of Horror for its 30th anniversary
did it let the cold air out or the warm air in?
I got the Richard Donner cut of Superman 2 on Blu Ray
Only took 978 days from the Comic Con announcement to the release of this movie.
3.4 million for 2 weeks of work... BALLING
You guys should do things you didn't know about The Godfather Trilogy!! thumbs up if you agree! We need this to happen!
yeah we need this!
I'm like a pingvin in that way, we're cool as long as you have treats and don't interrupt my matting.
These facts are great.:-):-D I like Batman Returns.;-):-D i didn't know that about those Penguins.
Just too clear this up a little cause it bugs me. The reason the bat team has the silver and black suits was because they were meant to be cold suits to help protect them from Mr. Freeze

It's funny. You mentioned the Fortress of Solitude. Most people don't know that the writers of Superman STOLE it from a pulp magazine hero from the 1930's.....
Bonus thing you didn't know: Batman and Robin was the last Batman film Bob Kane saw before he died.
In Batman Returns, I thought they only had a small number of live penguins and the rest were animatronics. It was actually the other way around?
Do a things you didn't know on American History X
You should definitely do a saving private ryan
Not really related but I Was wondering what happened from a legal point of view with the Spiderman character. How Was Marvel allowed to put him in Civil War ? I Know You probably already planned it and it's REALLY early but perhaps You could an episode about civil war.
Michael Keaton needs to replay Batman. Jack Nicholson needs a role as well.
I agree
i love the donnor cut of superman 2.
All of this info is on the DVD.
Should do Boondock Saints 1 & 2.
it's said: all the heat in!!!!
BvS was a great movie and Ben Affleck was a great Bruce Wayne.
WOW super Jender. Lmaoo 😂😂
*Ok I didn't know Batman talks about Super in Return*
