Myth: The line at the beginning is different form the ending because Quentin wanted to illustrate different points of view. Fact: It's a just a continuity error.
If it's a fact, would you please cite your source? This continuity error always bugged me as being a careless oversight, but such a glaring error seems way too big a miss to be accidental.
Venom NBK Actually, Tarantino confirmed that it was shot like that to convey different points of view. When Jules and Vincent finish shooting up Brent, they empty their clips. But when the story returns to them, they still have some bullets to kill the guy in the bathroom.
Here's another thing about the opening scene where honeybunny and pumpkin are talking, if you listen closely, you can hear Jules "Well yeah" response ("Well yeah, I was sitting here eating my muffin and drinking my coffee when i had what alcoholics refer to as a moment of clarity") to Vincent about when he came to the conclusion and having that moment of clarity. Which leads me to believe that those scenes may have been shot at the same time...which if thats true makes that scene even more dynamic.
I've always thought a Vega brothers spin-off would have been amazing, but the window to make it has long passed. And there is no way anyone but Madsen and Travolta could play those characters.
In Back To the Future Did you know that when Doc Brown was hanging by the ledge of the clock tower, The Delorean shuts off. Just like how that George didn't kiss yet and Marty started to Fade away. Doc Invented the Time machine and it too was fading in time. As that If Doc Dies then the Time Machine would have never existed. Not that it had a shitty Renault motor.
You oh-so-CONVENIENTLY left the biggest secret of all off BOTH your lists! We all remember the iconic opening scene where Travolta is explaining to explaining to Jackson the differences between McDonald's here and McDonald's in Europe. The scene ends with the following exchange..... JACKSON: So what do they call a Whopper? TRAVOLTA: I dunno. I never went in to Burger King. WELL THOSE TWO LINES WERE NOT IN THE ORIGINAL SCRIPT! That's because Sally Menke, the film's editor, was having an affair with Mike Quinlan, CEO of McDonald's at the time. At her suggestion, Quinlan approached Tarantino and offered him $250,000 towards production of the movie for adding those two lines! It wasn't a bribe, because every cent went into the making of the film!
OMG Stanley Tucci was Rhames' roommate and is responsible for his nickname????? MIND=BLOWN I would love to see some more Tarantino movie facts, any of his movies, although I would prefer Kill Bill since it's my favorite :) Keep up the great work!!
Tyson, the way your voice raised during the Chevy Malibu section ("you should go back and watch part one of our THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ON PULP FICTION") has to stand as one of the greatest self-promotions of all time. I'm dying
Alright you psychic bastards. I'm sitting here watching this video, low and behold I turn to the TV and FIND PULP FICTION PLAYING ON TMC! HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!?!?!?!
I tried picturing Ving Rhames and Stanley Tucci as roommates, but then my head exploded. Now I have to clean my brain-matter up from all over the floor. Thanks a lot, CineFix.
Butch was my favorite character, and that reveal of him keying Vincent 's car makes him go down a level in my opinion. You don't fuck with a man's vehicle. Lol
Another thing you probably didn’t know: the scene where Marvin gets shot in the face was originally supposed to show him getting his brains blown out, but the MPAA threatened to give Pulp Fiction an NC-17 rating, so they cut it out
Kudos on actually finiding 6 things I hadn't found out about this glorious flick yet.... and that's from a vid that came out 2 years before I even saw the film!
Cool Butch character theory on this episode but how can he possibly did that to Mr Vega's car when he and Jules arrived at Mr Wallace place via cab. How can Butch possible know that he damaged Vega's car, did he somehow knew exactly what car it was?
I've seen this movie countless times over the past 24 years, and never understood what he called Bruce Willis at the bar... until I heard you say, "palooka." Thank you. Also, I'd never heard that word before and had to look it up. Thank you again.
2:53 Also, at the beginning of Reservoir Dogs, Mr. Pink, played by Steve Buscemi, makes a comment that he used to wait tables, and during the Jackrabbit Slims scene of Pulp Fiction, Steve Buscemi makes a cameo as a waiter named Buddy. Coincidence? I think not!
I always noticed it was different than the beginning use to drive me crazy. But I love the it’s coming from a different point of view. Now my eyes won’t twitch when I see it.
What about Butch's cab driver Esmeralda? You know. One who seemd to be fascinated by death and violence? Actress Angela Jones 2 years later played main role in movie "Curdled" about woman fascinated by... brutal and violend murderes...
How about the conversation with butch was after Vincent complained about his car being keyed in the timeline. He has the suitcase at the bar, not in the car talking about the keying
The Suzanne Vega cousin thing is in at least one cut of the movie. I caught it on cable the other day. I didn't remember it from the original, but that was some time ago.
Things you didn't know about: Tarantino movies - you could do an episode on all the little crossovers between his movies, and the fact that they are all one universe
Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but that point you made about the car driving by I think I saw some tire treads that didnt line up with the car in the house which looks to lead behind the house.
Stanley fucking Tucci....lmao! This guy is awesome & genuinely funny....something desperately missing from TH-cam (although many would disagree w/ me). Thanks again for the very entertaining videos!
that's assuming the car wasn't at the bar in the first place or that Butch had no other way of finding out where his car was. There's no definite answer (that I know of) but there is a motive and heavy implication.
not sure why they would have to take a taxi to get it to the bar? he may have taken it out of storage because he was taking Mia out. (or simply because he just got back from france) . we'll never know. fun to speculate though.
Butch didn't key his car. That scene was after the Bonnie incident and the diner scene and they had Jules car and Winston wolfs car and since Jules disposed of his car and wolf took his to get breakfast, they walked to the bar so butch couldn't have done it
"I gonna go medieval on your ass!" is still one of the best quotes in cinema history.
When I was watching the movie with my boy he said “But he just got medieval in his ass” 😂😂
@Porosus8 I like to imagine Zed never died when Butch says that he did but was rather starved to death for longer than one could imagine
That and the way it’s said you know some horrible shit is in store for Zed
“Bitch.
You don’t have a future”
This is a tasty burger...
Didn't expect to find you here. Any new videos coming soon?
I lurk everywhere haha. Got a couple things in the making. New segment I'm gonna try out. Just ordered a green screen setup.
What sux is that burger DID look tasty and you can’t get one all greasy like that anymore. Food was different back in the day and I want some.
W-what?
Que?
Myth: The line at the beginning is different form the ending because Quentin wanted to illustrate different points of view.
Fact: It's a just a continuity error.
People tend to ignore mistakes and find reasons for things they like
LOL. You are likely correct.
True, not even a Genius can get EVERY small detail completely on spot
Here's another thing about the opening scene where honeybunny and pumpkin are talking, if you listen closely, you can hear Jules "Well yeah" response ("Well yeah, I was sitting here eating my muffin and drinking my coffee when i had what alcoholics refer to as a moment of clarity") to Vincent about when he came to the conclusion and having that moment of clarity. Which leads me to believe that those scenes may have been shot at the same time...which if thats true makes that scene even more dynamic.
You should do a special episode on Quentin Tarantino movies called "A hell lot of things you didn't know about Quentin Tarantino movies"
I've always thought a Vega brothers spin-off would have been amazing, but the window to make it has long passed. And there is no way anyone but Madsen and Travolta could play those characters.
Could be an absolutely awesome tv show
Also, at the beginning in the restaurant scene, you hear Jules in the background say loudly 'Yeah.... I was just sitting here eating my muffin'.
In Back To the Future
Did you know that when Doc Brown was hanging by the ledge of the clock tower, The Delorean shuts off. Just like how that George didn't kiss yet and Marty started to Fade away. Doc Invented the Time machine and it too was fading in time. As that If Doc Dies then the Time Machine would have never existed. Not that it had a shitty Renault motor.

I would love to see some more Tarantino movie facts, any of his movies, although I would prefer Kill Bill since it's my favorite :) Keep up the great work!!
Tyson, the way your voice raised during the Chevy Malibu section ("you should go back and watch part one of our THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ON PULP FICTION") has to stand as one of the greatest self-promotions of all time. I'm dying
This is my favorite youtube channel. The narrator is the best.
You should make another one with the crossover easter eggs between Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction
Alright you psychic bastards. I'm sitting here watching this video, low and behold I turn to the TV and FIND PULP FICTION PLAYING ON TMC! HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!?!?!?!
mmmm, that is a tasty video
Oleg Yefremov- Ha!!
I seen Pulp Fiction 100 times and i never noticed Vincent walking to the bathroom at the very beginning.
I love these videos! Please keep up my filmgasm!
Lol

4:26 he looks exactly like the dude
Do we know how Butch could have known which car belonged to Vega? I'll get around to another re-watch eventually.
The Tucci tie-in was well done.
Stanley Tucci is a way of life
Do all easter eggs of Tarantino's movies!
at 4:33 you can notice the red car that they used first in the background. I'm not sure if it's the same one but it had similar shape and same color.
These are my favorite videos you do
Man. Ive Got to watch Pulp Fiction again!
A VEGA BROTHERS MOVIE WOULD BE SO AWESOME. Except that they are 25 years older...
but vincent died...
+Lil Franchise Prequel
+Lil Franchise it would have been a pre quel
Stanley Tucci was in my hometown of Royersford Pa when they filmed Lovely Bones!!!
Thanks!!! It was great!!
That was a great countdown! I'm more informed on one of my favorite movies!
Kudos on actually finiding 6 things I hadn't found out about this glorious flick yet.... and that's from a vid that came out 2 years before I even saw the film!
4:48 Where did you get it from?
Cool Butch character theory on this episode but how can he possibly did that to Mr Vega's car when he and Jules arrived at Mr Wallace place via cab. How can Butch possible know that he damaged Vega's car, did he somehow knew exactly what car it was?
0:22 Song?
a part three sounds sick!
So glad you guys did a part two! :)
I've seen this movie countless times over the past 24 years, and never understood what he called Bruce Willis at the bar... until I heard you say, "palooka." Thank you. Also, I'd never heard that word before and had to look it up. Thank you again.
Damn all these Pulp Fiction videos are great!!! :)
Part 3 please
Excellent, I never knew any of those things,. More, Tarantino, pleeaaase
And a part 3!!

How about David fincher's Se7en
YES TO ALL THREE, PLEASE !
Am I like the only one who would love a Pulp Fiction mini series?
I love this movie. Thank you for the part 2
Do a crossover one and I'll cry out of pure excitement
2:53 Also, at the beginning of Reservoir Dogs, Mr. Pink, played by Steve Buscemi, makes a comment that he used to wait tables, and during the Jackrabbit Slims scene of Pulp Fiction, Steve Buscemi makes a cameo as a waiter named Buddy. Coincidence? I think not!
I'm just waiting for the day I see #tuccipalooza in my youtube feed hahaha can't wait

You missed one. Every clock is stopped at 4:20 and every one was as high as a kite.
Nice job team Cinefix! Love it.
do 7 things on PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE? you guys are doing important work here, and i thank you.
love Pulp Fiction so much third favorite movies and seen it 5 times :)
If you look closely, you can see the tire tracks for Malibu I, in the grass, going past the pre-crashed Malibu II. Neat.
Please do a part 3 for pulp fiction! Either that or a video on all the theories of what's in the briefcase
Butch did not key Vincents car they literally just got out of a Taxi😂😂
Vincent might have left his car there in the beginning of the story but that still raises the question of how Butch would know it's Vincent's car.
How about the conversation with butch was after Vincent complained about his car being keyed in the timeline.
He has the suitcase at the bar, not in the car talking about the keying
Part 3 please!!!! :D
When im at a burgerjoint or something, i ALWAYS say Jules /Pits hehe line " M M M this is a real tasty burger " hehe i cant help it :)
The Suzanne Vega cousin thing is in at least one cut of the movie. I caught it on cable the other day. I didn't remember it from the original, but that was some time ago.
4:35 - if you look at the lawn you can see tire tracks that are too far away to be the crashed car. At least, that's what it looks like to me.
fantastic film
Next do Reservoir Dogs! That would be awesome!
More, please!
dude- that was the best crowbarring of tucci , ever.
Things you didn't know about: Tarantino movies - you could do an episode on all the little crossovers between his movies, and the fact that they are all one universe
Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but that point you made about the car driving by I think I saw some tire treads that didnt line up with the car in the house which looks to lead behind the house.
more on Pulp pleaaaaseee !!!
Boy that afro part was hilarious! XD
Do ALL of Tarantino's films, PLEASE!
I just want a movie with Ving and Tucci.
Do one on James Bond and Back to the Future!
Stanley fucking Tucci....lmao! This guy is awesome & genuinely funny....something desperately missing from TH-cam (although many would disagree w/ me). Thanks again for the very entertaining videos!
You should do a things to do about Watchmen
Do a part 3 of this great movie
Was I the only one who automatically figured it was Butch who keyed his car?
+IAmTheeShadow nope. i figured it after watching it a few times
that's assuming the car wasn't at the bar in the first place or that Butch had no other way of finding out where his car was.
That scene was after the Bonnie incident and the diner scene and they had Jules car and Winston wolfs car and since Jules disposed of his car and wolf took his to get breakfast, they walked to the bar so butch couldn't have done it
Tarantino has already confirmed it was Butch.
