I remember seeing this at the Melbourne motor show that year. It completely blew my mind how beautiful and awesome it looked. It was still slated for production at the time. The placade said; 8L v12, 800hp, 800kg, $800,000
I personally like this version of the Speed 12 better. They just had to go and turn this thing into a freaking Cerbera. It looks better with the Project 7/12 design.
Even playing this car on Gran Turismo 2 is absolutely sick. Is a darn shame that this car never went into production. Very sad for a powerful beast is alone not competing with other exotic cars on the road(however a TVR Cerbera Speed 12 W112 BHG is sold to an enthusiast). If this car ever been produced man that would been a massive hit and awesome.
The reason the speed 12 looks as it does is because there was damage to the original body and TVR only made one prototype road car body, so they had to fit it with a race body.. Check it out driving a little quicker😁 m.th-cam.com/video/Ikeyrh9E91w/w-d-xo.html
The most dynamic and the best supercar ever with a monstrous performance where all the car manufactures if the industry played sad full of politics in banning this beast as I'm pretty sure it will destroy the Bugatti veyron on track! And all others etc...
Ohhh yes. This is the Speed 12 I miss. The one that looked like a spaceship, not the one that looks like a Cerbera having anaphylactic shock. Sadly, I don't even think it exists anymore, I think they cut it up for that god-awful looking one.
They were destroyed, for who knows what reason. Just put a better chassis and less power and it would have sold itself on looks Alone. Man I miss that first gen/prototype Speed 12. The Cerbera Speed 12 was god-awefull by comparison. And I LOVE the Cerbera.
I saw this in Black at an Earls Court Motor show, once seen I could not gain interest in any other car, shame they never produced it, one godlike looking car.
@@kierenboimufc5940 that CLR got airborne because it was drafting behind another car, which caused less air in the front and more on the back. More air on the rear spoiler caused more downforce on the rear than on the front, which caused some lift and small jump was all it needed to lift up into the air.
Yep the car was said to make around 800bhp but when they put one on a dyno rated for cars with up to 1000bhp the TVR broke the dyno. Shame it was never put into production.
Simon Dean even the owner of TVR said it was un-drivable. In all my years of playing granturismo this is the first time seeing a real life video of the car and this version of it

Alex i totaly agree, it also brings back memories from playing N64 world driver championship.

O way Cerbera design is much better after all Cerbera design would have been better for Le Mans I see it race and was one nice looking car
It sounds vicious yet noble. Interesting combination.
Other than the the Cerbera version. That sounds like hell itself fuels the engine.
It blows my mind, this film is 45 years old and still holds up on all fronts ✨✨✨✨✨
The road going one looked like a Cerbera, this one looks a mixture of Tuscan and Cerbera. I like it alot
What a cool film for this forgotten vehicle! 💯💪🏽💯
The car starts moving right after 4:36 for the attention impaired :)
(Edit: In white, it's Bruce The Shark's daily driver.)
Man, I love the look of this thing So much !
Wow that 911 GT1 sounds amazing! :P
the fabled v12, would skin the arse off a veryon, no doubt, not even a third the weight and more than 800hp, a pure fucking weapon of a car.
You know it's a serious car when you have to limbo out of it.
Imagine pulling that stunt after an inevitable crash, while it's on fire.
Shame on GTA and FIA for banning this car!
Saad Malik they didn’t they changed the rules didn’t they
I would have liked to hear The car With Straight Headers.....

It would beat a Bugatti in a straight line also. It went on a dyno meant for 1000hp cars...and it broke the dyno xD.

Shame the rules changed and we didnt get to see this race at le mans
tbf it probably would've gone airborne and caught fire mid-air, like a certain Mercedes.
@@martso9288 hmmm dont know think was how the merc was designed it acted like a plane wing if i can remember there a documentary on it

@@TheLexa053 It was my tounge-and-cheek answer. I truly love the sheer insanity of it.
Ain’t this the 7-12 project
Atte Jokinen 👍👍👍
Are any 7/12 cars still in existence? Also, I believe W112 BHG’s run in is complete, so it should be able to drive faster now
Central Norfolk Transportation there’s two now
9:49 :DDDDDDD
Gran Turismo 2
AWESOME!! :O
First saw this car in Test drive 5...
Fab
And am i the only one who's deaf, or is the speed 12 awfully quiet on the flyby's.

It is. Latterly they took the big rear mufflers off to open it up a bit.
Test Drive 5...
