    Oil cooled .... Cheap . .. practical... Reliable... Fun to ride with enough kick from that 250 cc engine. Comfortable ride... Choosing naked or faired... won't make you regret. What else you need. This is pure practical fun. Let's be responsible.....Period!
    Love from India.

    If others are making 300sto 400s, then I am glad Suzuki is still making a 250. The less power the bike, the more you control it. Powerful bikes control you. All this varies in degrees to your skill level. If you are trying to learn new skills, ( even if you are a experienced rider ) using a less powerful bike is a good place to start. It is ego ( wanting to display an image ), that criticizes this bike. When traveling to certain counties that do not have large displacement bikes, I have the time of my life on 125, 180, 200cc and scooters. I am saying this from personal experience.

    I am riding this bike from last 8 months and it's a awesome bike. It's oil cooling system is equivalent to the lequid cooling system. I didn't get any heating issue. Also engine is so refined and smooth. It's a perfect bike to ride in Nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵 hilly snake roads. 🏍️🏍️🏍️

    I currently own this bike and I love it! Where I live, there are no open stretches or highways where you really need to wring out the throttle so a peppy engine like this with a beautiful fairing and a comfortable seating position is kinda all I'd ever need

    This is one of the cheapest to own and maintain, quarter litre single cylinder in the market. The service cost is usually around ₹1500-2000 ($20-25) in India.
    Easy to maintain, fun to ride, comfortable ergonomics and suitable for both city and highways.

    I own 19 bikes in my 28yr of riding (still have 4 with me today) from 125cc to 1731cc & I must say in term of cost, usability & reliability, it has to be the Suzuki GN125!!! a blood* old, air cool engine that I can go on full throttle for the whole day, year after year & it never failed me until I sold it off @8.5yo :)

    I've said it quite a few times over the years.
    250cc might be enough for light loads and slower roads. 300-400cc is plenty for power on legal roads.
    Anything over that is purely WANT.
    I had dollops of fun on the little Ninja 250. It was a more relaxed ride as a commuter.

    let me give you the ladder we need to climb from the lowest level cc to 250 or quarter liter as i like to call it, here in India. We start off with something called TVS Heavy Duty XL which has a 70cc engine. Then we have 100cc, 110cc, 125cc, 150cc, 160cc, 180cc, 200cc, 220cc, and at the end of it all we have 250cc. So as you can see, the 250cc bike sits at a much higher pedestal. So for us, a 250cc is like a wow, that's powerful bike kinda territory.

      4 cylinder and shorter stroke with most of mechanical parts. Today, if they want to reproduce, they will have to incorporate too much electronics, so economically not that viable.

    Yep I agree with you mate. I just bought the naked version two weeks ago and... I was looking for the duke 250 but this gixxer is far more cheaper than the ktm. I also said to myself that I should be wise and responsible.. I wont go racing evryday on the street. I want something which is fun in the city and something confortable on the highway. Between the duke and the guxxer there's only 3.5hp difference. And you know what now. I dont even regret going towards the gixxer now

    • @DRS0395
      @DRS0395 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      How have you been liking it so far? Planning on the naked as well. Seems it performs well so I know it'll do highway commuting fine.

    • @athiannedesirejeanhugues2023
      @athiannedesirejeanhugues2023 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DRS0395 no complaint at all bro. Except for the mirrors. Most of the time it's your arms that you're seeing. The sittting posture is nice and comfortable. No pain at all on your wrists. That 6 speed gearbox is awesome. What I like most is that headlight. That LED healight surpasses anything in the 250 segment. Even better than the duke. At night it gives you confidence. You can enjoy a night ride saying to yourself that it is safe and you can see what is inf front of you. No need to tell you about full headlight now. Concerning Negative points Suzuki could have welded the chassis with more precision. It would have been a good thing if they included the side stand notification on the dash. Lots of times I forget to remove the side stand before going. It's pretty frustrating. But as a whole, I think that this gixxer is really good value for money. It doesn't leave the duke 250 that much. There are things that the duke has, that it hasn't. There are things that gixxer has, that the duke hasn't. Two distinctive bikes. But this gixxer, with its abs, its led healight, its engine, its gearbox, its power, its confort, its style and above all its price- under 2lakhs- is really good value for money. I like the bike. I made a wise choice

    • @ragerider6283
      @ragerider6283 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@paultanton4307 I imagine the reason is that it's cheap & was originally launched in Asian markets & so price was key. Also the Inazuma engine, despite being a twin, is flat & gutless & would need a radical overall to make it competitive. The Euro GSX250R uses it & again looks good but has all the punch of a wet handkerchief.

      @jeffrosamson I get what you mean but that wasn't my point. Maybe I didn't make this clear but I'm not saying Suzuki should make a more powerful version instead of this, it's a decent enough affordable bike, I meant as well as this. There's no progression in their small bike range beyond this like the other manufacturers. All the other manufacturers also have 300-400cc 40ish bhp bikes in this segment. I would like Suzuki to offer something along those lines too as I like their bikes. I've had 4 of them before. However look at the sales figures for the CBR, ZX4 & R3 compared to Suzuki's offerings & they're getting slaughtered. Just meant there's a gap in Suzuki's range for a more exciting small capacity sports bike which are currently selling well & better than this for other brands....in Europe at least. Hope that makes more sense now.
