The quarter liter class is a dying segment due to limited options and major manufacturers seem to have advanced to 300s and 400s.
Then all of the sudden Suzuki dropped a bomb shell and released the Gixxer 250 series, an upsized version of the already good handling Gixxer 155, but this time it is ready to spank the ass of other premium 150cc bikes and even katoom's Duke 200.
But for some reason people are judging the bike and having conversations about why on earth Suzuki used an SOHC setup instead of the fast revving DOHC unit and why did they use an old GSXR oil-cooling system from the 80's.

You are right,
250-300cc segment is always the sweet spot, especially if you ride alone. (if you want a comfortable bike with pillion a 400cc to 700cc segment bike will do depending on use and no more than that) Any higher cc bike means high maintenance, low mileage, high tax and insurance, difficult to get control in tricky situations, bone melting heat in city traffic .Any lower cc bike means low power, less to no highway capability, tires you easily, looks will not be as proportional, lots of cost cutting also.
Coming to my bike,
My "Gixxer sf 250" is giving me 40 Kilo Metre Per Liter minimum average is 43kmpl maximum i've got is 46kmpl. can you believe it !!.
You have to ride it sensibly, don't give aggressive throttle on 1st 2nd and 3ed gear and ride it like a sports touring bike and not like a race bike like KTM and R15. That's the secrete.
This engine is not designed to reach speeds 120kmph hr on a rush like KTM or R15, it will reach 120-130Kmph very linearly and can comfortably hold the speed without any issues.
The torque is amazing, which you wont get on other such bikes. low speed/city tractability is excellent/effortless
For gixxer 250's the service interval was at every 3000km/3 months for bikes sold till mid 2022 , but, for bikes from 2022 it has increased to 5000km/6 months.
Rider comfort is superb, minimum 2hrs continuous riding without any pain anywhere.
handling is the best. if you place the bike at a certain lean angle while taking a corner the bike will stay at an appropriate lean angle that the rider wants, it don't have the tendency to fall down while taking corners.
what more does one need.
The graphics, the information, the accurate details, and the realization of this content makes a huge awareness to all. Many motorcycle buyers are just depending on hype and forgot the technical aspects of the motorcycle. This review taught us many things, and made us realize ang appreciate the "balance to power ratio". Suzuki is still the best when it comes to FUEL ECONOMY.

What can say! If there is a word that can surpass great and best then that the word that can describe this video. Superb voice and very informative and now i know why its is oil cool and only 1 cylinder and SOHC and I think this is the only motorcycle with a 250cc SOHC oil cooled engine (please correct me if im wrong). and i like it when you explained and compared it to the 150cc.Hope this will be my bday bike this december

Much respect and love for creating such wonderful and well placed review for this bike. This is the first review from this unit that poses much more information more than the brochure can give.
May 2018 first kong purchase nang Suzuki Gixxer 155 Fi, all in all the bike was very practical sa fuel consumption and stability on daily city ride. Even ngayon andito pa at all stock padin ang unit ko.
Finally i came up sa idea na mag upgrade nang motor planning hopefully baka mga 2 years maka ipon ako nang pang cash.... sobra pina patronize ko ang Gixxer 250 dahil top of all tulad nang sabi mo sir ang elegance nang design niya. Simple lang at walang daming arte sa kanyang build.

GSX S150 owner here. Magaganda talaga motor ng Suzuki. Kaso parang mailap ung mga motor nila (except sa Raider). Cgru d lng marunong mag market si Suzuki. Dont get me wrong, no hate to brand here. I just want Suzuki to simply step up their marketing nila. Ang gaganda, sulit and heres what I like most about Suzuki bikes, less maintenance sila.

Umiiwas ako usually sa mga reviews ng mga Filipino vloggers except Zach Lucero of Makina dahil basically, all they are explaining is top speed, engine size, pricing and that's it. No offense meant sa mga vloggers na yun but I really wish they would be more like this channel; hindi man ganun ka in-depth pero may alam sa background ng motor at alam kung ano ang mindset ng manufacturer as to bakit ganyan ang design, makina, cooling, etc. Thanks for giving a breath of fresh air for us viewers na gusto rin matuto at hindi puro kamote culture ang pinapairal sa kalsada. Earned a sub and like, may your channel grow much bigger for you to reach more audience.

Regarding s mentainance mas panalo ito ksi walang radiator. Walang coolant. At mas konti langis kumpara sa 150cc fi.
Mas mabigat nga lang sia pero isipin mo nlng may 250cc bike ka.. mas panalo yun.
