      Question for Dr. Dray:
Context: I have Rosacea and Seborrheic Dermatitis, and was prescribed Metronidazole gel and Ketoconazole cream (as well as shampoo). I use Eucerin Redness Relief cleanser, which works well for both conditions (it even seems to mitigate against SD flare-ups when I'm consistent with it).
Here's what I'm hoping to learn: After cleansing, should I first apply the medications, or the moisturizer? Should I wait some time between the two? Also, I have to use both medications on my nose and chin -- can they be applied simultaneously, or must I space them out?
      Thanks: Many, many!

The dry eye regimen was irritating my skin around the eyes...the regimen contained tree tea oil. I began to use the Rosacare and I cannot tell you what a relief it has been for me. Also, I have found that the Walgreens brand baby 50spf to be a good lightweight, fragrance free, low cost mineral only sunscreen. It has a little cast but tends to fade after a few minutes. It also goes well over the rosacare lotion. I hope this is helpful and as always thanks for sharing your knowledge, Dr. Dray! 💕 😀

I've battled with Rosacea for 10 + years and I finally found a routine that works for me. I figured out salicylic acid works really great on my Rosacea. I have a few broken capillaries on my cheeks, but my main problem was this butterfly shaped redness on my cheeks and chin. I've been using CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (it's the only lotion I've tried so far that actually moisturizes my skin enough), Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 30, Clinique Even Better Foundation, and Eucerin Redness Relief night cream. The redness has almost completely disappeared, my cheeks are still a little rosy where the broken capillaries are. I think the salicylic acid is what saved my skin, because I've tried so many different products including the lotions I listed above before and nothing change till I tried a cleanser with salicylic acid in it. By the way, I started the cleanser, SPF, and redness relief cream from watching your videos. Thank you for helping me find a routine that works.

@@adrianafranklin7811 I use the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser (it has salicylic acid in it). It does an excellent job removing my makeup and has really cleared up the redness. I did break out a bit when I first started using it but I kept using it because a dermatologist once told me when trying a new product it can take up to 3 months to see improvements. I really believe it's the salicylic acid that cleared up the redness because I've tried so many different cleansers in the past without it and nothing worked. I hope that was helpful. 😊 Oh and I forgot to mention, I only wash my face with it at night to remove the makeup.

@@adrianafranklin7811 You're welcome, I bought mine off of Amazon because Walmart was out of it last I checked. I think you can use any cleanser though as long as it has the salicylic acid in it, depending on if you have dry or oily skin. I had a hard time finding one that was fragrance free, I found out about the CeraVe SA Cleanser from watching one of Dr. Drays videos and was pleased it didn't say fragrance in the ingredients. It's also not as drying as other cleansers I've tried.

Based upon Dr. Dray's recommendation in the past, I use RosaCare for redness. It really is a great product! Be patient because it doesn't work overnight. It took about two weeks of twice-daily use to see results.

I would absolutely LOVE it if you would do one for eczema. I know you have done a short one. I was hoping for more info. Like types of clothing to keep flare ups under control. How you personally have dealt with your eczema over the years. Also, you didn’t mention anything about eczema on the scalp or face. Any very common irritants with eczema patients. Tips on things to stay away from etc. Thank you for all your very, very helpful videos. I have watched most of them. I am absolutely loving cerave for daily moisturizer!

This is a super helpful video on rosacea. It pulls together all the topics into one video. The description box is insanely helpful with listing of products, all the good ingredients, the ingredients to avoid, all the potential names of fragrance,... This last one was especially helpful since the companies use all these different names. I started using the Procare Rosacare after you talked about it in a video not too long ago. It was crazy hard to get ahold of at first. But this product has been so very good and so very much what my skin wanted. My rosacea skin is now happy skin. Thank you for sharing this product with us!! 😊💙💙

Things I've done that dramatically decreased the amount of rosacea flare-ups I get:
    - cleanse once per day with water and gentle cleanser, the other time using only micellar water and a cotton pad
    - I'm From Mugwort Essence twice a day and as a toner pack for spot-treatment of flare-up prone areas
    - Only one active ingredient at a time (I use niacinamide in the morning, and then alternating bha/retinol/benzoyl peroxide on different days in the evening to combat acne)
    - follow the harsher evening treatment with barrier-supporting creams that include ceramides
    - Sleeping at least 8 hours (promotes overall skin health and balance amazingly)
    - finding a light moisturizer that never irritates and use it consistently twice a day, also: NOT TOO MUCH HYALURONIC ACID!
    - zinc oxide as sun protection!
    - don't exercise too early in the morning, I found that this makes redness persist throughout the day
I also find Centella Asiatica, Green Tea and Chamomile helpful and soothing, but haven't yet found good products to incorporate them on a regular basis.

Yo utilizo la línea francesa de SVR AR Sensifine: agua micelar, hidratante. No he encontrado nada mejor y he probado de todo. Ademas de agua termal de Uriage. La Dr. tiene razón, a la rosácea se le unen alergias, como en mi caso es a fragancias, conservantes, intolerancia solar desde niña, etc., y el comienzo de la premenopausia también es un desencadenante.
