Peter learned in childhood to avoid his confrontational parents and has avoided it ever since. I feel so bad for him. His mother blew me away but his dad was even worse, holy hell! I hope he found something he likes to do and is living a better life.
aww when he asked for a hug, you can tell he is needing that , and hes lacking it from his father.. all he wants to do is prove himself to his dad, and he hasnt been told all his life he is good. bless him hes just trying.. hes genuinely struggled. well done to gordon for seeing he needed it and giving into him when he could have told him to grow up.
The cookie Gordon ate is a traditional Greek sweet we make for Christmass called κουραμπίες (kourampies). It is supposed to be loaded with powder sugar, just like the one presented to Gordon, you get a little messy when you eat it but its delicious.
In Germany we have Berliner (kind of doughnut without hole) that often have a lot of powdered sugar on top. But since they are quite large and also have a jam pocket inside I always make a big mess when eating them. (would never EVER eat them in public, haha) But they are delicious and definitely worth the mess. And I looked up the cookies you mentioned and they sound awesome. Will definitely try making them at some point!
It's called editing. He may have said that about being fired by the owner and they just inserted it there. The audio editing in this show is terrible, they fabricate entire sentences with chops you can hear it all over the place.
Gordon: *Saves the whole place, gives them a future, improves everything and makes their food source top quality* Random person with tons of money: *_m i n e_*
The old lady server who's been with the restaurant for decades was so humble and sweet, saying she'd be willing to leave if Gordon thought that was the best for the place.
The table side flambé service was bought back by Marilyn and Scott had stayed on to train new chefs. The Seascape closed in August 2007 and was sold to new owners, just five months after the episode was filmed. According to reviews, they had reverted back to the old menu, which was unpopular with the new customers that had come after seeing the episode. The Seascape was due to re-open as The Coast but was sold again and is currently J & R Steak House, Urban Spoon reviews are good.
I was happy for Peter, then the ending comes like hit me and twisting my body and saying "HAH, EAT THAT REALITY, SUCKERS!". My God, that was really anime brutal level.
Apparently after this episode the Seascape went into shambles, and was closed 5 months after filming this episode. The reason why this happened was due to them reverting back to their old menu, and it wasn't popular to the new customers
I love how every chef that he meets in these, they all say that they're the best chef ever and that they're better than Gordon's and all I can think is 'mate, one of you has an international chain of restaurants and Michelin stars and one of you struggles to keep one tiny restaurant open.' they just have no perspective
His tactic is reminiscent of army bootcamp. Completely break down the restaurant owner/chef....expose all weaknesses and strip away all bullshit. It is usually brutal, but then when they are totally broken down he rebuilds them.

In real life he would have gotten decked for saying that to another man. You don't comment on a mans wife with a snarky ass comment like that trying to be witty.
Aww! He wanted a hug🥺🥺 he just needed someone to believe in him and be proud of him!

Imagine being so full of ego that you miss out on tasting Gordon's food, FOR FREE!
I know!! People pay alot of money to try the food at his resteraunts.,,,, but he had the chance to taste food personally cooked by gordon ramsey and said no!!! What a chump!!
His stomach is made of steel. I would be on vacation in the restroom.
Same
I would of been throwing up in the restroom 🤢🤮
I dont like how true this is for me.
I really feel for Peter. This poor man has had a rough go and he's trying his best. It seems like his father made him go into a shell because he's afraid. I love that he gained confidence, and I hope for nothing but the best from him.
His mother isn’t supportive at all either when she’s a big part of the problem too. Keeps citing the health rating but nothing on the fact it smells like a sewer!

That the lady said that she feels like she is "maybe" a part of the history of that restaurant broke my heart...
She was there for like what? 50 years?
She *is* part of the history of that restaurant! Not "maybe"
"Can I have a hug?"
"Why not."
"Thank you, new Dad"
Never thought i would see a boxing session in a kitchen nightmares episode
Same I’m surprised
Crazy thing is it isn't even the only time in the show that happens!
"He just choked on your mother's cookie"
god, i'm just now realizing, how much i love this show
so i watched 38 min episode only to find out that the restaurant is sold at the end ? rofl
At least the guy got some free therapy
Peter just ain’t meant to run a restaurant hes to nervous and not able to step up which sucks
u runied the suspense tf

for some reason chef Gordon's voice is my little girl's lullaby.. we're always watching kitchen nightmare for my baby to go to sleep
Gordon: "WHERE'S THE LAMB SAUCE?! IT'S FUCKING *RAAWW*"
Baby: *i sleep*
Gordon: "i want to help you and your business to succeed."

Yes, that's generally speaking how people eat.
Personally, I like to just smash them on the plate with my forehead and lick up the crumbs.

People also usually inhale just before putting food in their mouth. That's a suicide move with something heavily coated in icing sugar, and you have to learn not to do it.
@@justinturner4664 ah, I usually slice them thinly with a chainsaw and then eat them through my nose by inhaling the slices.

Wish they'd include info like that in the video description. It's good to know that Peter is doing well.
“You didn’t see that? You’ve got glasses on my man” 💀💀💀

"thank fuck I missed that one twice"
Lmaooo I love this man. 😂😂
"You're both off tomorrow". Couldn't even fire them himself.
Man if Gordon made a meal and let me try it that's a once in a lifetime thing. i would not say no.
That chef wasnt even a man literally zero balls to even taste it because deep down he knows he is a lazy loser.
Peter learned in childhood to avoid his confrontational parents and has avoided it ever since. I feel so bad for him. His mother blew me away but his dad was even worse, holy hell! I hope he found something he likes to do and is living a better life.
I really like this owner. I know his dad never believed in him but his mom is not just plain crushing him in how she behaves

aww when he asked for a hug, you can tell he is needing that , and hes lacking it from his father.. all he wants to do is prove himself to his dad, and he hasnt been told all his life he is good. bless him hes just trying.. hes genuinely struggled. well done to gordon for seeing he needed it and giving into him when he could have told him to grow up.
Peter just wanted to be loved.
That's it. That's the comment.
It's not just the comment though is it, you had to put that fucking shit on the end
The cookie Gordon ate is a traditional Greek sweet we make for Christmass called κουραμπίες (kourampies). It is supposed to be loaded with powder sugar, just like the one presented to Gordon, you get a little messy when you eat it but its delicious.
I don’t know but it actually looked good.
In Germany we have Berliner (kind of doughnut without hole) that often have a lot of powdered sugar on top. But since they are quite large and also have a jam pocket inside I always make a big mess when eating them. (would never EVER eat them in public, haha)
But they are delicious and definitely worth the mess.
And I looked up the cookies you mentioned and they sound awesome. Will definitely try making them at some point!

How can you feel that Gordon coming to your restaurant is a slap in the face? it should be an honor learning from him!
It's called editing. He may have said that about being fired by the owner and they just inserted it there. The audio editing in this show is terrible, they fabricate entire sentences with chops you can hear it all over the place.
Love that this show proofs how good of a father Gordon is
"I'm surprised that you guys are still alive" has me DEAD
Gordon: *Saves the whole place, gives them a future, improves everything and makes their food source top quality*
Random person with tons of money: *_m i n e_*
Man, I'm glad the chef's are fired. can't believe he called himself a chef and keep the kitchen in a dumpster fire
What happened to Marilyn?
@@hfs212000 hopefully she was able to retire - but server's wages wouldn't run to much of a pension 😟
Gordon: why don't they clean it???
doug: i have to go pee-pee
I was happy for Peter, then the ending comes like hit me and twisting my body and saying "HAH, EAT THAT REALITY, SUCKERS!". My God, that was really anime brutal level.
When Peter asked Gordon for a hug that was so wholesome awwww
The mother should be running that restaurant lol. She’s the most willing to make difficult decisions for the best of the restaurant
Yeah I agree. She seems like she'll be really good at it.
Yeah she would probably be better at it but I bet she wanted to see her son step up and take the reins
"He just choked on your mother's cookie"
That caught me so off-guard that i choked on air.
Apparently after this episode the Seascape went into shambles, and was closed 5 months after filming this episode.
The reason why this happened was due to them reverting back to their old menu, and it wasn't popular to the new customers
How could someone not taste what Gordon made? People literally stand in queues to eat his food..
@24:05---"Come on, you sack of shit." One of his best quotes ever, imo. I wanna put that on a t-shirt
Classic that’s the best way to describe that little puzz
Gordon: Oh my God, just look at that...
Sound effects: riiieeeeeeekkkkkkk
I love how all the older women always seem to comment on Gorden being blonde and handsome I cant-
I love how every chef that he meets in these, they all say that they're the best chef ever and that they're better than Gordon's and all I can think is 'mate, one of you has an international chain of restaurants and Michelin stars and one of you struggles to keep one tiny restaurant open.' they just have no perspective
Gordon knows perfectly when to be confrontational and when to be supportive and encouraging
His tactic is reminiscent of army bootcamp. Completely break down the restaurant owner/chef....expose all weaknesses and strip away all bullshit. It is usually brutal, but then when they are totally broken down he rebuilds them.
