Finding an ep of Kitchen Nightmares you haven’t seen is like finding $1,000 in your pocket
I know I have watched them multiple times, once in a while I find one I haven’t and it is awesome
Hhhmmmmm... I like both but: I'll pay some bills w 1000 Alex
So true 😂. And that too when you feel you've seen all the episodes.
I feel like i have seen em all unfortunately :(
At least what's on Prime hahah
💯
I like how the son was like "my dad is finally yelling at me. Awesome!" and so supportive of his dad taking charge.
As soon as the son said "We need Chef Ramsey's help because we don't know what the fuck we're doing!", I knew I was going to like him. He seems like the kind of dude I'd want as a coworker.
The only issue I see though is that Yes Gordon helped him get his Balls & Voice back but he began to like OVERDOSE with it & screaming about some stuff I don't see why he was for example I don't see an issue with MARK taking the Wine/Drink orders when he seats them. My family has owned a restaurant for over 30yrs & our Host & Hostess are told to do the Wine/Drink orders....... I'm happy he got his voice back but the other thing is that when he Grabbed Mike by his collar & drug him away in front of customers was completely out of line & should never be witnessed by the Paying Customers........ It don't mean shit now in 2024 because it closed down almost right after Gordon left
@@SLIM_SHADY313the restaurant closed down?
@@SLIM_SHADY313 actually Mark took an order at 26:06, asking the ladies if they wanted him to save a few orders of the Halibut special. Dean (the owner) yelled at him (26:35), telling the camera that he "always makes mistakes" so there's clearly history there. Mark took another order but at 34:16 we see they're not in front of the customers, so I don't think they saw Dean grabbing Mark by the collar. Nobody should put their hands on anyone else at work, that crosses so many lines. I really hope that was "a bit" done for the cameras at their request.
Yes🥳!
That son is real as fuck “I think we chef Ramsay’s help because we don’t know what the fuck we’re doing.” Hahaha
At least they realized that. Too many owners of those restaurants are like 'Everything we're doing is perfect and flawless and wonderful, but we're failing. We need Ramsay to tell us what completely unrelated external factor is preventing our success, because it is clearly and obviously not our fault. D'uh."
he was a real one for sure :D
And how he was proud of his dad for saying what he actually feels. Good shit right there.
You can tell what a great Dad Dean is.
“Thank god the dog ate the burger otherwise we would’ve been fucked”

@@rabblerouser7982Haha, he absolutely should try that! 😂👍🏼
I love how his son let his dad rage at him, knowing he needed to do it and being proud that he did it.
❤️❤️❤️ so genuine
yeah the son recognized that he'd been messing up
the son is honestly one of the coolest people we've had on this show. he's the man.
Very cool how the son was proud his Dad chewed his ass.
Well, as compared to see his father on the verge of breaking down most of the time. It was good for a start. I'm glad that there isn't too much conflict to begin with for this restaurant.
So wonderful to see that guy love his Dad so much that he wasn't even disturbed with his Dad yelling at him, recognised that it was apart of his Dad's growth as a manager, and got so excited by it happening!
If that really happened, I totally agree. But, Idk that part and all the conflicts parts look staged? Or is it just me?
if thats how it actually happened and wasnt just drama to make the ep more entertaining he should have given him a round of applause for finally growing a fuckin pair of balls
Well, lets just pretend it was legit, and that everyone grew from the experience and the business is doing well, yes?.
What does loving someone have to do with them yelling at you?????
@@Nunofyobiz it’s just going, they’re on the show because they have conflict not because they have everything figured out
It's refreshing to see a restaurant owner on this show who isn't a stubborn, arrogant prick. I was genuinely rooting for this guy.
If anything he was too nice on the outside and suppressed too much of his issues in his guts...good for Gordon to try to wake him up to management 101.
It's the other side of the coin. Just as bad. It's advertising people to take advantage of them, like a sign saying "hey i'm easy, do what you want" Nobody respect that shit. People want a leader. I would've fired that cook in a minute, no balls this guy.
Glad you weren't rooting for me. I'll do my own rooting thanks very much. Just so you know, rooting means something completely different in Aus to what it does in the Ununited States

I’ve never seen someone so happy to get yelled at by their Dad/Boss. That was precious. Lol
It’s kinda like “you finally raise up!!”
Shows what a great dad he must be
He's a good father hence he's shown he's a good son 🥰
Because he felt proud that his dad manned up and that rubs off on him too
Before that, it seems like he was kind of being a little bit of an asshole so he can get his dad to eventually get mad. So he was happy when he finally did.
That chef was absolutely insufferable. He just worked there because he thought he could get away with not doing anything
yes, pretty bad, and the editors didn't do him any favors. haha
Yeah but in the end the chef was doing all the work walked out be he was being mentally abused while the owner still owed him money and worked anyway the walked out bc if this and Ramsey had to pay him to stay then the owner takes credit for all the work the chef is doing. Yeah real nice owners
He was definitely one the problems
I wouldn't say he didn't do anything, but that he could get away with far too much perhaps...
Credit to the chef 👨🍳 I’m sure he’ll be back cause they need him and they know it !

I love how immediately after Gordon teaches the owner how to assert himself he's swearing and screaming every 5 seconds lmao
You took a FuCKinG order?!
Gordon created a Demon
You can't make someone be what they're not, I don't see it as any bad thing that the owner is a nice guy, just cos Gordon is abusive all the time doesn't mean he has to be, it's just that being a nice guy doesn't work for business if your staff take advantage of your good nature which Chef Aurelio did. The bottom line for me is he shouldn't be running a restaurant regardless of how good the food is, he should be doing something else less demanding that could've suited his personality more
I don't think the owner was pretending to be someone he's not, but more like he had that release with Gordon's yelling exercises. I know from experience if you've got bottled up emotions, once you let them out once, it's hard to put that cork back on the bottle. He'd probably ly just been pushed way past his breaking point and finally couldn't hold it in anymore.

It’s SO rare to feel bad for an Owner in these videos, but this guy is just a great guy who is being taken advantage of.
People like this should never be in any food business. Serving rotten shit, taking advantage and ripping off customers. Even with the best help in the world, they will never succeed, and closed shop in 2011, only 3 years after Ramsey was there.
Good riddance. Let someone with empathy towards its customers, someone serving good food take over. Its how it should be. Rotten places should close. And new ones should be able to give it a go.

Santa La Brea was revisited in a subsequent episode of Kitchen Nightmares where it was revealed that Dean would be retiring and traveling overseas and that his sons Sammy and Arthur would be taking over the restaurant (with Sammy’s girlfriend stepping in as the new manager).
That arrangement didn’t last, however. By 2011, just three years after they were featured on Kitchen Nightmares, it was announced that they’d be selling the business (according to online records, the sale was officially completed in June 2011). While Sammy and Arthur never revealed what the official reason for closing was, many believe that they were burnt out and needed a break. It’s currently unknown whether or not they’re still involved with the restaurant industry (a Google search didn’t come up with any results).

I really hope that after Gordon leaves that Dean will continue to put his foot down and have the restaurant and life he deserves. To be completely honest, the cook showed promise, but he didn't show up half of the time when he needed to and didn't listen to Dean and wants to say Dean is a bad man...that's ridiculous. Dean put up with Orelio (cook/chef) thinking he can do what he wants (mainly Dean's own fault) and so now that is what he expects. I would have fired his ass a long time ago.
- Damn straight. I was actually expecting this to be one of those episodes where Gordon made a few phonecalls and tracked down an available good Chef with a good reputation, I always love when that happens, I feel like THOSE restaurants are the ones with the highest chance of keeping it going when they bring in new blood for the kitchen.
Business is not about being a sweetheart, at all. It's about being an effective leader. When I go to a restaurant - or any other service I pay for - I'm not looking for a sweetheart or buddy, I'm looking for a good product period. You don't have to be a jerk but you have to set standards and hold people accountable - as well as reward them if appropriate. My worst bosses are the sweethearts or asses - give me just the professional guy with eye on the prize, period.
tbf he might have been saying Dean was a bad man because he wasn't paying the guy
i don’t wanna say like everything is fake but tbh i could tell this episode was def staged extremely. like when the chef was acting lazy i was laughing because it just seemed so fake. of course i’m not sure but if you look back at those scenes you can clearly tell, because no one in their right mind would act like that on camera.
35:55 The edit is so good, the Ad break buffer/recap making it look like Gordon turns back to the garage to see Aurelio leaving again "What the fuck is going on".
The owner had a good heart and his son is right at his side. It’s beautiful
right 👍
Imagine you’re working the convenience store counter at like 8pm on a random night, and Gordon Ramsay sprints in in full chefs’ whites, asks you for your strongest deodorant, thanks you, and then sprints out.
Guy must’ve thought he was having a fever dream.
Can't believe I haven't seen this episode before. Its great. Such a nice guy. I hope his restaurant is prospering.
Unfortunately closed in 2011
me neither! There's a always a surprise KN treat somewhere...
I love cooking for my Elders, tonight I cooked them a Meat Loaf...
@@damageincorporatedmetal43v73 im sure you cooked it like a bat out of hell.
@@kittenak47 damn why?
LOL his relief at the dog eating the burger was so real hahaha

Owner "Gordon Please, Send him Home! I don't need him!"
Ramsay "He's your fucking member of staff." 🤣🤣
that shit was hilarious, omg 😂🤣
I have to say this was the funniest and most awkward episode of kitchen nightmares I've ever seen.
HILARIOUS.🤣
Also, Mark is the gayest manager ever.
@@yudithcaron8053 Yea if I was the owner, Mark had to go. Whoever doesn’t like to wear deodorant apparently doesn’t care for their own hygiene. Very unhygienic the way he wiped his sweat with his hands snd touching people.
I agree
@@xorxpert Mhhh please.... Some people sweats a lot more naturally
I read your comment at the beginning and thought “hmm we’ll see” and that shit was hilarious 😂
This owner and his son are so adorable. The owner didn't wanna come down hard which, having the same personality, I understand so I'm so glad he found his confidence and his voice. Loved this episode
I always find it kinda funny how everyone in the room stares at Gordon when he first sits down and tried the food. He’s asked people to stop a few times bcos it always happens.
Fun Fact: That grey shirt Mark is wearing at 6:53 is a Glasgow Rangers shirt. The Famous Scottish football team that Gordon was going to be a part of before his injury when he was younger. Mark knew that and that why he said he wore it just for Gordon.
🤔
That’s really awesome
Mark is disgusting.
Wored
So sweet
Owner is too nice he actually struggles to be mad! I hope I have his patience in my life.
i feel for him , it's one of the moment that you felt guilty for being mad even though you have a reason to be . It so hard because it is for them to take a advantage
He has a patience million times than I lol, 😅
I feel so bad for him.
"When I smell bullshit, I go straight for the jugular."
Gotta love Gordon Ramsay.
My captions changed it to juggler. Fitting considering the circus most of these places are lol
If you smell bullshit you need to get rid of the asshole 😉
including underarm bullshit
Finally, an owner that is totally on board and took responsibility and is ready to fix stuff
Literally the funniest KNM episode I've ever seen. The owner is so sweet, Mark's sweat problem made my day! I'm glad they turned it around and I hope they did succeed in the end.
Nah, the funniest one was with two owners Rita and Lisa. This episode was like a real life sitcom.
Amy’s. Baking. Company.
they actually closed 3 years later even tho it seemed that they were doing good
@@spenzix3720 Often these places have just too much debt that no matter what Ramsey does it cant save the place. And 3 years on top of the original run is not bad at all. Many great restaurants dont live that long either, ones that do over 10 years are rare.
Mine was Shirley with the soul food one especially when Gordon tried to eat the chitlins lollll and Mama Mary’s red velvet cake
"C'mon man gimme a hug... this is some fatherly love shit." 😂😭
The son is more of a Dad than the actual Dad
I like how the father is some FOB southern european and the son is some LA cholo. Did they do son swap or something
@@opinion56 was thinking the same, mother is probably Mexican or Spanish
I love how he's so nice he even struggles to yell at the air
lmao
fairies started flying around his voice was so peaceful haha.
HAHAHA That was SO funny 🤣🤣
He said the most cuss words of his entire life in one day 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Lucky man to have two adoring sons, you can tell he was an amazing father to them.
The chef leaving and coming back was too funny 😂😂
6:37 LMAO the guy is hilarious "if the dog didn't like it we're f**ked"
😃
This show really makes you think about all of the small restaurants you’ve gone to once or twice for a meal and the possible reality behind the scenes
AHHHH YOURE RIGHT
I was thinking the same thing…😒😒😒
Oh fuck, you’re right..
My stepson just quit a job at Carl's Jr...All I have to say is never order the cheesecake or any drinks with ice.
@@spiwolf6998 🤢🤢
This episode has me in stitches. The co-managee is sweating all the time, doesn't wear deodorant and not allowed to take orders because you keeps screwing up. The chef walks off the job and Gordon runs him down. Lastly Gordon reaches in his pocket and pays him cash for back pay 😂
Gordon getting so angry and frustrated at Mark for being too sweaty is killing me 🤣😭
Man, an owner that’s actually likeable that we can root for. So refreshing.
See, and I found him spineless and cringey, he's so beta

Yea the chef was probably illegal I would’ve had that mf deported
@@chanoleyva now we’re not doing all that.
Completely agreed, anybody who works for a place because "I can do whatever I want" is bad news for a business.
I agree wholeheartedly... They should have let him drive off, and let Gordon help on relaunch night, then find a replacement.
I agree. If I'm the owner I will fire him. He is arrogant . The owner can find better than him.
Imagine Gordon Ramsey just runs into your convenience store all of a sudden
"Made for a lady, strong enough for a man" HILARIOUS
It's probably mitchum's. And I don't care about the pH balance it works and smells good to me and others
Years ago, television commercials used that line except it said "woman", and not lady.
Made for a woman, strong enough for a man.
~SECRET DEODORANT~
the line is :
"strong enough for a man, made for a woman .."
unrelated but this popped up.. Old SPICEEEEE made a man of my son
“I don’t like wearing deodorant what can I tell ya” wtf is wrong with you??!
He acts like it's painful or stinky, doesn't hurt to put a little my guy.
Yea that’s weird of him to not wear deodorant, but it’s not like deodorant stops u from sweating. It just stops it from smelling bad
@@Jenibelle no some deodorant are literally designed to absorb sweat as it's produced, preventing the poor smells and reducing perspiration.
Ikr, that is just disgusting, if he is sweating that much imagine the smell
@@TheFrenchmanCooks you can bathe as much as you want but without deodorant you’re still going to sweat and it’s going to small

Secret is my favorite deodorant.
