Google pixel 7 pro Battery Drained by 7% from 98% and the iphone 14 plus battery drained by 3% from 100% after the speed test, to be honest the iphone 14 plus has the better battery over the google pixel 7 pro

I've been buying the low end Pixels for several years now. $350-500 range. No regrets.
I'd love to see a speed test with the google pixel 6 pro and 7 pro... I'm not sure whether I should spend more for the slightly upgraded pixel 7 pro or to just buy the 6 pro.

The biggest benefit is the modem and thermals, the 6 pro has a terrible modem and overheats more than the 7 pro.
I got the iPhone on this; the Tensor’s primary use is for AI which is fine but the Exynos based chip definitely shows it’s weakness in performance and battery efficiency. After Using the pixel 6 Pro last year and hating it, I’ve grown wary of Pixel phones, I’m sure this model is a little better but with the iPhone i know it will work and it won’t have to be on the charger by 5pm after work which the charging is painfully slow

Trust me don't do it. As an Android user, i can say that the pixels lack many qol features that other Android phones have. Go for the galaxy s23 ultra if u want to get a flagship Android, but in the end of the day, it's your choice.

I got a Pixel 7 Pro on sale at Best Buy for $464, with incentives. Now, I only use my 8Plus as a wireless music player.

The Pixel is not a power-user phone. It is for basic usage so no gaming or intensive apps due to poor thermals and lower-quality CPU and GPU. Opening apps it gets beaten but these days even mid-range phones open apps fast enough for most.
I suspect that in five years time when the iPhone is still getting updates and the Pixel 7P has not had an update for a year or more, then the iPhone will be better. Also, a quick look on the secondhand market and the Pixel has lost over 50% in six months versus about 20% with the iPhone.
Nick trying to sell the Pixel with 120Hz but I have lived with 60Hz for all my life and although 120Hz is nice, it ain't the be-all-and-end-all! I use a Pixel 7 Pro and it is fine but if you do buy it, beware, it has many foibles and I look forward in the hope the Pixel 8P fixes these.
You make some good points, 120Hz is noticeable however if you actually use your phone a lot and try it and then try to go back to 60Hz. I do agree it's not the end all be all, but in real usage, the Pixel 7 Pro is very capable. Probably not the best long-term choice or best choice for those who want a faster phone though.
This sounds like the typical comment from somebody who's just speaking from rumors and blog random statements without having even seen a Pixel, I own a Pixel 7 Pro and being an iPad Pro M1 user I do care about power and efficiency, I've been playing games on my Pixel 7 Pro such as Diablo Immortal, CoD Mobile, Pascal's Wager, Wild Rift which are all high-demaning games and I can guarantee that they all run great at high to max graphics settings, even at 120fps.
I was surprised because reading all the comments like yours I was expecting nothing to use as a gaming device, while it turned out being an excellent high end device for mobile gaming, and if you do your search you'll find out that in depth reviews of the Tensor G2 showed how, contrarily to the average expectations, the G2 did better than Snapdragon 8 gen 1 in terms of sustainable performance.
As always, talk is cheap, facts speak.
You don't even appreciate the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz, is your opinion on anything else supposed to be taken seriously?
@@Ducktility most of the stuff I do doesn't need 120 Hertz which includes watching videos and reading books or magazines.

I have used a pixel before (5a) and I hated it from iphone but I just went back to android withe s23+ on the 13th and I really like it and my last Samsung was the S10e

The Pixel's battery went from 98 to 91 while the iPhone's battery went from 100 to 97
iPhone was proven to fake battery status because it looks like it stays at 100 but it flaws it and you can tell because after it drops to “99” it starts draining like crazy
Coz it has a smoother display, 120hz screens are power hungry compared to the 60hz on the iphone

I mean, what is the point of doing 'speed tests' anymore with todays phones?🤷♂ They're ALL rapid af, blink of an eye differences nowadays and really a bit pointless now.

Pixel is faster. What I love about the pixel most though is all of the features that most people don't know about unless you have a pixel. I will never leave pixels because of these features

Can yoy try the same test by keeping Pixel's animation speed at 0.5x. pixel feels very snappy with it.
“They favour iphone cause there is more money to be made there” nope. Its just that the apple products are easier to develop apps on, there is just ONE architecture device model to make apps for, versus 200K models of androids all around the world. Thats also why all apps release first on iOS
