- The iPhone 14 Plus should have been one of Apple's most desirable iPhones this year with a bigger 6.7 inch display, and the best battery life in an iPhone ever. However, at $899 Apple may have priced the phone just slightly too high which makes it super frustrating because it is a great phone, but for only $100 more you get a lot more with the iPhone 14 Pro.

Edit: Also I messed up saying Action Mode isn't on the regular 14, I was looking for the option in the wrong area. It's on the left side to toggle it on the 14 Plus and on the right side to toggle it on the 14 Pro. My mistake!

The plus is a great addition, but I really think they should keep the mini in the lineup or even make a mini pro
@@iosphyfuppul7014 there will NEVER be a mini Pro.It just wouldn’t be feasible.By the time they had fitted a Pro camera in such a small device,there wouldn’t be much room left for a decent size battery. The battery life would be horrible.

I had an iPhone 8 plus for almost 5 years. When the 14 plus came out I decided to upgrade. Honestly, love this phone so far. No, it wasn’t worth it to get the 14 pro max - it’s a lot more expensive in my country. And I don’t need all the pro features, but did want the larger screen. So for me, this phone was a great option 😊

The people I know that upgraded from older Plus models got the standard 13 (Same as their previous screen size) for 30% less.
The people that upgrade every 12-24 months either got a 13 Pro Max (Better Screen and Camera) or a 14 Pro Max.
The 14 Plus just isn't competitive at it's price point among the other Apple products in the US market. I suspect that's by design to increase Pro Max sales, but it appears they may have been more successful than they anticipated.

@@gk5891 while the screen size might be the same, the actual phone size isn’t. The 8 plus and 14 plus are pretty much identical in size. So maybe saying I wanted a bigger phone sounds a bit better. Also, the pro max is A LOT more expensive where I am. I like a good phone, but don’t need all of the features of the pro. Maybe it was a good strategy to get others to get the pro max, but I think for someone who just wants a good phone without having to pay in the extra - the 14 plus is still actually a good option. I’m on about week 3 or 4 with this phone and I honestly have no complaints whatsoever
@@paigieatkinson I'm not criticizing the 14 Plus. It's a good product. In your country it may very well be in the sweet spot in the lineup. It's more that I think Apple goofed with their US Pricing Strategy. At $100 less it would become a much more compelling option.

The 14 plus is $899 (which is R16000) yet our 14 plus actually starts at R24000🙃… so you can imagine what the 14 pro max would be
I think screen size and battery life is the most important thing in smart phones. I have a 12 Pro Max and rarely use the upgraded features on the phone. The processer means little to me and the incremental upgrade of the 14 to the 13 and 14 are not enough to make me want the newer phones. The camera systems on the 14 Pro Max are better than my phone but if push comes to shove, not that much. Serious photographers would use a dedicated camera anyways. Every year, Apple tries to get you to buy the new and improved but it is just a marketing ploy.

120hz is a UX game changer. because your phone is probably the piece of tech you handle the most by far, imo user experience is exceedingly important, and 120hz is a MAJOR part of that.

In India, the price difference pretty huge between the pro max and plus. I bought an 14plus today and I have zero regrets.. ❤️ Switching from Android to IOS for the 1st time.

@@kaushikdas4591apple 60hz display feels really smooth because of the animation and optimisation. Just got mine a week ago its great super fast and the battery is fabulous it will easily last 1.5-2 days with normal use. I don’t click too much photos so don’t care too much about the camera but the camera takes pretty good photos.
so do yiu still recommend it even with 60hz not 120h!

I have owned this phone for 3 weeks (as of November 6th, 2022) and I absolutely love it!
The 14 pro max does not interest me because I don’t need or have a use for the “extras”.
So far, I am getting almost 3 days of use out of it before having to charge it.
I just want the best battery life possible and that's why I think the 14 Plus is perfect. Besides, the 6.7" screen looks awesome!

I got one for my older boss at work and it is fantastic for him! It has the bigger screen, the perfomance is great, battery life is amazing, and camera is good enough. I dont understand why the plus is so overlooked. For someone who isnt a tech spec geek, its more than capable
I am typing this on my 14 plus in midnight 128 gig. I upgraded from the XR. I know that’s a huge upgrade. But I was using the 13 previously and just broke it so had to switch to my old XR before I could upgrade. The phone runs amazing. Idc about 120 refresh rate, as it’s just not a feature that matters to me. The phone has amazing battery life, the cameras are fantastic, the screen size is perfect and it does exactly what any other iPhone does. It’s all personal opinion. I don’t need a 3rd camera lens to cost me another 2-400 dollars.
I have an 8 plus and am thinking of getting the 14 plus. Would love the camera on the pro plus but it is just so expensive. 14 plus is 1,300 and the pro plus is 1,600 Insane prices. Oh and i get the 256GB

I absolutely love my iPhone 14 plus and this video helped me decide! It’s so lightweight and the battery is truly amazing. I am not a fan of the dynamic island anyways, I find it obstructive and it’s known to cause screen burn. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t need super advanced camera as the camera is still impressive! I also think it’s the most beautiful design out right now. iPhone pros look clunky to me and they’re too heavy and just not as comfy to hold!

I am using the 8plus mode and I couldn't process the feeling when I held the standard size of the 13 mode. I want this 14 plus but sadly it is more expensive than I can afford

I already have the iPhone 14 pro max and will probably never get a 14 Plus, but I still found it interesting to see how the phone is better and worse than my phone and other models. People are dogging the non-Pro models having the old A15 chip, but don’t forget it has 6gb of RAM which should help with performance and keeping apps from closing out on you. 🎉
I got this phone recently and I can tell you: if the price difference between the 14 Plus and 14 Pro Max in your currency is significant -and you’re in a budget, go for the 14 Plus. I dont regret it at all, it’s a nice phone! In my case it was hard to find the 13 Pro Max (not available anymore in many store) but the 14 Plus has a decent screen, camera without many requirements. If you’re coming from a older model this device will make you happy

agreed. i upgraded from a 12 pro max to the 14 plus, a lot may say it's stupid, however my 12 was broken and needed a new unit. not a huge fan of the dynamic island and don't take many pictures, plus the battery life is amazing. can go 2 days with no charge.

I came from years of using android. My latest one being the OnePlus 9 Pro. Honestly, don’t even notice the lower refresh rate on the screen and I’m actually liking IOS. The battery life in this iPhone is phenomenal. Currently sitting at 42% and was fully charged 10 hours ago. Use to be an Apple hater and decide me to jump on the train since I needed an upgraded. Liking it so far

My Onplus 9 pro has green lines appeared suddenly and I decided to switch to iPhone 14 plus. The battery life is very good. I am happy user now. I dont even notice the lower refresh rate as well.

Not every phone is perfect. The extra features are nice on the pros ill definitely agree on that. But some features aren't necessarily needed I really like the 14 plus it's still a great phone. I really enjoyed your video I enjoy the feed back and you're very informative 😊

I left the 13pm for the 14plus and I am happy that I did. I dont feel like im holding a brick. I have crash detection on SOS ( I travel a lot ) i dont get the hate. People complain about the price but you also need to take into account the world we live.
On the note of $900 with a 60hz display. I left the iphone for a pixel. The iphone runs 60hz way better than other phones. Most increased fresh rates on Android are still stuttery. Let's talk about performance and battery life. Both beat most flagship androids. I love both systems but for practicability this works just fine
In this moment there is like 350 Euros difference between Plus and Pro Max and couple of weeks to wait for the Pro Max(Europe) so I think the existence of this model makes sense. Thanks for the video.

biggest draw is 120 hz, I almost bought it over the 14 pro max but I want the promotion since I feel like it’ll help with longevity and overall smoothness of my 14 pro max over 4+ years since that’s how long I plan on keeping it

I am a normal camera user but after I upgraded to the 14 pro and saw the differences from the regular camera I really love the proraw feature for the camera. Obviously I am not going to use it all the time because of storage but if I had the storage I would use the pro raw feature all the time honestly

I’ve had the 14 pro for 3 weeks now and have to say, 120 hz is nice, but I don’t think it’s anything great. My iPad is 60 hz and I barely notice the difference. Maybe it’s my vision, who knows. To me, 120 hz is like a 10% better feature.
Based on reviewers comments I think they enjoy the responsiveness while navigating primarily. That's what I notice most when going from 60 to 120 hz myself.
I once thought that but now after a year of ProMotion, when I use 60hz display it's very jarring and horrible to use imo

As a photographer I really wanted the iPhone 14 pro, and may upgrade later in the year, but ordered a 14 regular size…. The price is so much higher on the Pro in my market, and the 2 main lenses which are all I usually use are almost identical. The lighter weight of the regular iPhones is a big deal too, and the pro-motion display means zero to me, most Iphone displays are excellent.
All I want it the big screen and battery for a decent price and this is it!! I have the 13 so I’m not going to upgrade this year but if they have a plus model for both the 15 I might upgrade
I adore my 14 Plus so so much! I upgraded from an XR back and January and this phone has been such a godsend. Lol I love the bigger display size, and as a man with huge hands, it deffs fits much better. I won’t be upgrading until the 18 most likely lol I potentially see a Pro Max in my future, but I feel like this phone is such a godsend.
watching on my 14 plus…! love it so far. so t use the over the top camera features so dont need pro models. the camera om this is still quite good though plus the big screen, battery and lighy weight is the perfect combo for me. gor carpal tunnel using the brick phones before so this is just right
I got the iPhone 14 Plus today. I’ll take it over the 14 pro any day. Keep in mind you can’t go with the 128 gb 14 pro or proMax because photos take up storage really quickly. So it’s a 200-300 price difference with the 256 gb versions.
Not everybody upgrades for cameras tho.

My mom is upgrading from 7 plus that I gave her when I got 11 in purple to 14 plus.
I think for a normal usage is perfect phone. Moms don’t need extra tech they just need a phone that calls text and take good pictures. And for that I think 14 plus is better and more then enough.

IMO the issue with it is the price, as you mentioned it. 100$ cheaper and it would slot in nicely. Or A16 and three cameras (or 120 Hz screen) for the current price and it would slot in nicely as well and I would get that instead of iPhone 13 pro max for the same price. I very much liked when they had iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X - all of these phones made sense

Back in 2013 Apple released 2 iPhones with different chips the iPhone 5c A6 chip and the iPhone 5s A7 chip

If the 14 and 14 Plus were priced at $700 and $800 respectively instead of their current $800 and $900 then both would sell very well, especially the Plus. But no, Apple didn’t do that cause they want to push people to the pro and pro max.
They also try tricking you into believing that they’re offering the people who aren’t tech savvy a great deal with the base 14 models simply because their cheaper, when in reality they’re royally ripping them off
I upgraded from the 11 pro to this. I wanted a big display and really don’t take many pictures. The promotion wasn’t that big of a draw for me. Battery life is great.

yes, most movies are in 24 FPS, no movies goes above 60, 60hz is more than enough. As of now only UI gives you the 120hz (Browsing, scrolling), in gaming most games still runs 60hz tho i heard some are transitioning to higher than 60hz on gaming, but that might take years to be a norm, plus higher Hz in gaming means faster battery draining and more heat accumulation.

7:15 actually we can say that about iPhones in the past. Not even that long ago, even. XS and XR. One shipped with 3D Touch and the other didn’t. One with LCD and the other OLED. Even though haptic touch exists, it’s not the same thing and 3DT did require different hardware and enabled different features, such as the screens on the 14P. This is barely 5 years ago, it’s not like you missed something about the iPhone 3G/3GS
I brought the 128gb red 14 plus it cost me $1579 Australian which is crazy because the pro max is close to $1900

Yes some Samsungs might have a better refresh rate. But 2 years down the road my iPhone isn’t gunna start lagging and glitching out to where as every android I’ve had, has done that at some point in time
All I can say is this phone is incredible,the only I don’t like is the front camera processing on photos,wish I could turn it off
Just got mine on the release date 10/07/22 next day took charger out at 1:07p.m.and by 2:07a.m. I had 30% I love it just for that and the size coming from the regular 13 and I had to charge that phone 2 times a day because I’m a heavy user so I’m happy with that 😀👍🏽

I had the iPhone 14 pro max for 2 weeks . It was heavy every day use and the bettery wasn’t any better than the iPhone 8 Plus I had before . When I learned about iPhone 14 plus about the bettery and bigger phone I turned in the iPhone 14 pro max and paid 75 restock fee. At this time it wasn’t about money . Every day use pro max it was as having extra pounds on me . Emmy wife has the 14 pro max . Picture quality not big difference . The battery last twice as long as my wife’s 14 pro max . Most people don’t use the features max offers . I would just go with plus and use that 200 for Apple Watch it tablet .

I agree the reason why it didn’t sell well is because of the price very similar Samsung s22 and the s ultra most people will go with the more expensive model are the base model it’s very little wiggle room and these companies just don’t understand that
In Europe there is 300 Euro diff between plus an pro Max.
Always purchase "Product Red" whenever I can. Problem is that Apple does not include that option in every product. So when it come to iPhone always Product Red case which along with screen protector are put on as soon as it comes out of the box. Doing this has saved me a number of times since I dropped, and killed a previous iPhone that did not have these on it.
For iPhone I would go Pro, or Pro MAX for the OLED display which is why I moved to the iPhone 11 Pro. Nice to be able to see the screen when I am out walking around, and in sunlight.
After reviewing cellular carriers website, and some TH-cam clips looks like eSIM is going to be a pain, however workable. Since I have killed a previous iPhone is which I was able to pop the SIM, and moved it to another iPhone until I was able to get my iPhone repaired/replaced I needed to know if this was an easy operation. Is not KISS, however it can be done.
For now sticking with my iPhone 11 Pro with A13 154.9 GFLOPS supercomputer in my pocket until Apple comes out with a USB Type C connector that I hope is either USB40, Thunderbolt 4, or USB80.

I traded my iPhone 10 max for this 14 plus. They had a promotion and they gave me $800 trade towards the 14 plus. I got a really good deal. The 14th and max was back order, I checked everywhere and no luck. So I decided to get the 14 plus for $100 after trade in.

I was at a store to just take in my hand a 14 max and 14 plus . I’m on 12 , I’m not a movie maker, neither influencer. I found 14 pro max heavy , then retake in my hand the 14 plus , and I’m convinced to buy that. As humans we are different, I prefer a lightweight phone, I don’t care refresh rate , neither camera lens. Edit 23.05.05

I want to try an iPhone for a change, and I would be happy with a 13 Pro Max, but it you cant get it for monthly payments anymore here in Germany, so the 14 Pro Max it is, as Im used to the 120hz and a big screen, I dont want the 14 Pro or the Plus. Is this a good choice?
I bought it and love it so far. I know people say it’s overpriced but I came from the world of androids where everything is over priced 😂

I think that the 60hz display bothers one more on a Plus model than on a mini model! Additionally, there are more pixels on the mini than on the regular and Plus models!

I went and looked at it today and I loved how lightweight it was and the aluminum siding, but I couldn't stand the slower refresh rate. It was very noticeable. Once you've gone ProMotion, it's hard to go back.
Same! I absolutely LOVE the weight distribution and feeling in the hand on the 14 Plus. They nailed that. But darn if that display isn't a huge letdown when you see it next to the Pro Max.
I have the plus and for me it looks identical to 120hz. At first I thought it looked horrible but to my surprise reduce motion was on, once I turned it off and adjusted my cursor sensitivity it was soo fast and smooth.
I just got the iPhone 13 happy enough with that and also have s22 ultra

FYI...action mode is also on the regular 14s.
If it can be brought to the A15 chips in the iPhone 14 then it can be brought to the iPhone 13 with an update, they must be running out things to add to the new iPhone

Its a good phone but if I decide to continue without always on display and i stumble upon a brand new 13 pro max for the same or less price il skip the 14 plus
14 pro is so frustrating. Activating the Notification Center is pain in the ass. Hitting this tiny space between the upper border and the dynamic island is almost impossible. I always need to swipe 3-5 times till I’m able to activate it. Such an design failure from Apple. I hope the dynamic island will be gone next year

@@fijiwill2237 I already tried that. I works even worse. I have to bump the back too hard that I reacts. It often realized 3 instead of two bumps. Very frustrating to use that phone in that matter

@@fijiwill2237 I wish it would allow to swipe from the lower border of dynamic island to register it to open the Notification Center,l. Right now I really can’t use it. It always thinks I want to hit the dynamic island. I wished I wouldn’t have sold my 13 pro. I even have the 14 max pro but it’s impossible for me to hit the thin space
My answer to each of your questions is a resounding NO! I just purchased the 14 plus and I love it! What appeals to me are the simple things that I look for in a PHONE…Sound, functionality and aesthetics.. the 14 plus works for me on all 3 areas!!
