    Hello and welcome back to In the Kitchen with Matt I am your host Matt Taylor. Today I am going to show you how to make Jello pudding pops. Mmm yummy, I had a request to make a video on Jello pudding pops, so here we go, it’s really easy to do, three simple ingredients, let’s get started. First we start with two cups of cold milk, I am using whole milk but you can use whatever kind of milk that you want. And then what we do is we take a package of chocolate flavored Jello. The instant pudding kind, and we are going to go ahead and just open this up, pour it in there, and now with a whisk let’s go ahead and whisk this together, and then when it is mixed, go ahead and take one cup of cool whip, that I have set out at room temperature, so it is no longer hard, it is nice and soft. Let’s go ahead and put that in there, the soft cool whip. Get the rest of it out, and then we will mix this in. Okay and then we need a Popsicle mold, I really like this mold, I will put a link down below where you can pick or up, or you can also use Dixie cups, those little plastic Dixie cups and then you can put a wooden popsicle stick in there, those work great too. So then I get a scoop here, and we are going to just put it in the mold, now these are going to be a little harder, because it is a little bit stiff the stuff, so you are going to have to take the mold, and you are going to have to kind of scoop it in there, and push it in there, you just tap it and the jello filling will just go right down in there. Go ahead and put our top on, not quite as easy to fill this particular kind, those little cups are really uh a lot easier to fill up, or if you have different wider mouth mold, uh that will work a little bit better, but these work fine, it just takes a little bit more effort to get it in there. All right when you are done filling them up, this will make probably about seven or eight of these kind right here, and then if you have a different mold, it will vary depending on that size, how many pudding pops, this will make, once you are done filling them up, go ahead and put them in the freezer, and we will let them set and freeze for 4 hours, or up to overnight. All right and once your Jello pudding pops are done freezing, go ahead and just run some warm water, on the outside of the mold here, to loosen it up from the mold, and you go ahead and just take it out, and there you go a Jello pudding pop, oh yeah. And that is how you make a Jello pudding pop. It was very easy to do if I can do it, you can do it. I am Matt Taylor this has been another episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, thank you for joining me. As always if you have any questions or comments put them down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can, thumbs up, down in the corner push it. Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel and check out my other videos. Take care, time for me to dive into one of these guys, oh yeah. Grab this guy, oh yeah. Amazing.

    I just used your recipe to make chocolate and banana striped jello pops. For the banana I used the banana jello with 1 small mashed banana & a ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mixed well. I mixed the banana pudding then slowly whisked in the banana mixture. I layered the puddings 1-C, 1-B & 1-C.

    My granddaughter and I just made these. When we whisked the pudding into the milk, we couldn't get it completely smooth. There were little bitty blobs of firmer pudding all throughout it. We followed your ingredients and directions exactly. I'm at a loss as to why this happened. I thought maybe the milk was too cold and made the pudding start to set too
    quickly, but we went back and confirmed that you said you were using cold milk. Do you have any idea why this might have happened? As a side note... we still put them in the freezer. They're not ruined at all, but would be better if they were completely smooth. Thanks!

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Glad you tried it out. It sounds like the pudding mix was maybe a bit lumpy in the box. Next time, run it through a sifter, or whisk it by itself and then instead of dumping it all in at once, whisk it into the milk a little by little. :)

    Put it in a plastic bag, cut the tip off and squeeze the mix into the molds.

      Yes you can use a plastic bag or professional pastry bag with injection tip to fill the molds. I have that written down in the description box. :)

    This is not a good recipe for making pudding pops. It's just doesn't work.

      Sorry that you had trouble with it. Works every time for me. What happened when you tried to make them? Are you sure you followed everything exactly with the same exact ingredients?

      It is one of the ingredients you need. Called "Cool Whip" Are you in the United States? If not I they may or may not have it where you are from.

      Yep for sure, I thought I had mentioned that down in the description box, but I guess not. haha. Definitely easier with a piping bag!

      @@inthekitchenwithmatt Piping just came to mind because I've ran into this issues before and I've made a MESS!😂 but you made them perfect and correct way! People ALWAYS forget the cool-whip!!Cool-whip is the secret ingredient!!! That's what gives it it's creamy flavor..not a chocolate frozen block of ice flavor!....you're the only channel on TH-cam making authentic Jello pudding pops!! 🤫🤭😂😘

      @@missnperfection9830 Well thank you!! :) Such a nice compliment! And at least people know how to do it without a piping bag! LOL , although even a zip lock bag can be used as one. haha. Oh yeah definitely need to add the cool whip, you can't just freeze the pudding by itself. Thanks again for watching!

      @@inthekitchenwithmatt well if they would just read the description they would know to use a piping bag like you said too!! 😂..and yes!! Zip lock bags work as well!!..I think might be a better idea than a piping bag because they can throw it away after their done! 😉

    Do not use cool whip it makes you feel like you're choking because it starts to foam up in your throat when you eat it. After all I wouldn't listen to a guy whos not even using a proper whisk for what he's doing!

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I am sorry but you haven't got a clue what you are talking about. These do not foam up in your mouth when you eat them. Proper whisk?? lol that whisk is a proper whisk. I think you need to troll somewhere else.
