    some characters in this story have similar origin stories. so do you and i. we both come from just two cells. pretty wild.
    we live on a rock that is hurling around a giant ball of gas at 67,000 miles per hour. and the solar system is hurtling through space at 515 miles per hour (so the wizards say). also wild.
    the universe, or multiverse, is a beautiful mystery. because of that, life is a gift
    i wish every living creature health and happiness. for real.
    bridge four, bridge forward!

    Bro, I seriously just powered through half your GOT play list. I realized I had watched a bunch of them in a row by accident, just looking for good GOT stuff(I got the bug since it's coming back on soon). So I just hunkered down and watched all your stuff. I love where your mind's at on all your endgame theories and I LOVE how you see, and appreciate, what GRRM does and why. Best GOT youtuber by far. Hands down. Big ups my bro.
    If I may, I know you have several endgame theories about multiple characters and you've split them up into separate videos(for good reason) but I would recommend like, a week-month before GOT premiers, maybe do a 'condensed' version of all your theories you think will be revealed, and then have links to the previous videos that gave more specifics so the ppl looking around right before GOT comes back on, have one video thats basically like a one stop shop for all your GOT needs ya feel? Just a suggestion. It prob wouldn't be too much work since you already did all the hard stuff, would mostly just be the editing it all together. Just a thought. Keep up the great fucking work my bro.

    King Rob was such a terrible king. He knew all the people surrounding him were lying schemers. Simpy adding Ned to run the small council is such a pitiful attempt to do the right thing. All at the end of the day, was selfish above all else.

      Robert was a terrible King even in the beginning, I think this acceptance of Robert ruling the Seven kingdoms was due to Eddards sudden distaste for the whole situation. As a man so determined to avenge his fallen father, fallen brother, and supposedly kidnapped sister, they never really thought about who'd replace the Mad King on the throne. Had everything been true, I'd think Lord Eddard would have ruled all seven Kingdoms while in the North, that the seat would reside in Winterfell. However, the truth of Lyanna running away, the truth of Robert not being the best of men to match his sister with, that Rhaegar was not this horrific Mad Prince at all...I think that's what led Robert to take the throne and Eddard to remain in the North and continue protecting what remains of the Starks--Jon included.

    You convinced me with this one. So many clues, so many connections. There are two possibilities:

    2) GRRM isn't actually a good writer and he's got no idea of what he's doing.
    We all know how good George writes, so that only leaves one option

      @bridge4  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Here's another way of looking at it. I understand he hasn't appeared in the books yet. And I understand the books and show have been different at times
      But as Jon or someone said, something like "sometimes two roads lead to the same castle"
      So I believe most major plot points will rhyme between show and book. Which means the books will have a NK.
      And if there's a NK, he has a backstory. I can't be convince otherwise
      If he has a backstory, who could he possibly be aside from the night''s king?
      I can't think of anyone. Can u?

    • @anthoniesantic4325
      @anthoniesantic4325 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@bridge4 no I can't. You're right. And if we think about when the Night King appeared in the show: converting a baby, Hardhome, Bloodraven's cave and Viserion's death.
      In the books, both the conversion and Hardhome didn't have any POV character there, so we don't really know what happened. As far as I'm aware the Battle of Hardhome did not (yet) happen in the books.
      The attack on the cave and Viserion's death are too far into the future for the books. So we might see him there.
      What I think will happen in the books is this:
      1) in the first chapter of Winds of Winter we'll see Hardhome from the POV if either a wildling or a brother of the Night's Watch. Here we'll be introduced to the Night King, but he won't be explicitly named as their king, but he'll stand out.
      2) in Bran's first chapter we'll see the Night King in a vision, and Bloodraven will explain who he is/was. The connection between the Night King in the vision and the special walker at Hardhome won't be directly made, but there will be similar descriptions which fans will link to each other.
      From there anything could happen

      Bran is in a green dream or whatever it's called when the white walkers break into the cave and kill Bloodraven. He's still in it when Meera and Hodor pull him out of the cave and Bran wargs Hodor to hold the door. Is he warging old Hodor to hold the door or is he warging the young Hodor in the green dream? Having successfully warged Hodor several times by this point what was it that went wrong to ruin Hodor's mind? Not sure why this bothers me but it does.

    Arya repeats the history of the Rat Cook with Walder Frey, & the quote about Bran feeling safe in the darkness reminds me of a conversation the three eyed Raven had with him about the good things about the darkness, although I can't recall or find the exact quote.

    This theory fits in with how Old Nan says the name and details of the Night’s King was deleted from the histories - if the Bael the Bard story is essentially a “Night’s King origin story” or a precursor to it, then of course it would not be known south of the Wall, as it is part of that deleted history.

    That doesn't work chronologically, at least in the show. The Night King was created in a season other than winter, which means most likely before the wall went up and created the Lands of Always Winter. So he couldn't have been the King at the Nightfort since that happened AFTER the Wall went up.
    I think his identity is in the crypt, however.

  • @tinfoilmummy520

    Great vid kev! I have been trying to throw you a bone that supports this, fresh set of eyes on the wordplay. First, the scene with arya and sansa on the wall when sansa recites "the lone wolf" quote. They are facing south, and the view pans up to show the old tower and godswood, and a black bird flies past. Its 1 of many secrets forgotten in WF. It is "the lone wolf dies but the PACT survives". 2nd: Howland Reed is not a person, it is the payment to the last greenseer(elder of the cotf), Howl and Reed! 3rd: the SON hid IT'S face from the earth(ww.net) for a lifetime ashamed at what NO ONE (elder of cotf)COULD discover, disaster averted only by the deeds of a woman with a monkey's tale. Nobody agrees with me but i stand by the belief that the last greenseer and bran the bloody blade(bael the bard?) made a devils deal. I also know that brynden rivers was being controlled by TLG, maybe his whole life, due to the the literal meaning of"blood-raven". All visions he showed bran were false, as evidenced by the NK "saving bran and meera". They fed him jojen to "chum" the roots into capturing bran while he was in a vision. The lone wolf was bran the builder, only he was the younger son of the blade, and instead he offered up his younger sister's older bastard, not knowing that his father was a "dragon", leading to a winged wolf being "killed"(undying actually). Through blood he was heir to WF, as the eldest son of them all(albeit by a younger sister)but was passed over for a half brother or nephew by the male line. His mother killing herself eliminated his right tho. Sorry kev, i just wanted to throw a new perspective at ya. Also, i think that the same thing occured when robb(brandons 2nd oldest son, after weymar royce☺, declared himself king in the north, even though jon is really the older male by the younger sis.

    5:07 Rickard and Brandon died simultaneously. Rickard can't try to marry Ned Stark to Catelyn while dead. Their marriage fell upon them(Ned and Catelyn) because Brandon was dead, and Ned inherited his bride to be. But I'm not sure if you're talking in the context of Reek and Dustin's conversation in the Crypt, but I doubt Reek(Theon) would get it that wrong.
    But Happy New Year!

    • @bridge4
      @bridge4  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      He died at the exact same time with Brandon in Kings Landing by being burned alive by the Mad King. He definitely did not die in bed, so he did not give an bedside instructions. Ned married Kat as part of a negotiation with Lord Tully to get the Riverlands to side with him, Robert and Jon Aryn in the Rebellion.

      @bridge4  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey I'm back. Here's a response I just gave to someone else who said the same as you. Someone whom I also responded to about th backup plan.
      I was wrong. And that you for highlighting this so that watchers can make sure to erase from their subconscious those words i said about Rickard then marrying ned to her
      Thanks :))
      (Below is my longer respond to Connor, who also kindly pointed out my mistake as you did)
      Apologies. You and either 1 or two other people said this and my responses were wrong, even if I somehow seemed to have some defense.
      It's been a really long week tho. I literally only slept 3 hours a night for while. Worked over 20 straight hours Saturday. And finally got real sleep last two days
      But even yesterday, I worked almost every minute I was awake. But to take first shower in over 2 days lol. Tmi
      I woke up today for the first time in awhile where I wasnt immediately running to computer to grind griND grind. So I finally feel relaxed. But with all.that said, I am clearly still.feeling the impact of last week or two... bc my response was straight up dumb lol
      I'm so glad you responded so I could both apologize for being defensive and also explain to observers where I was wrong.
      So conner makes a great point. Rickard and brandon died together.
      But in my video I said something like "Rickard had southron ambitions. So he tried marrying brandon to lady cat. And he married ned to her once brandon died"
      The reason I said that is because I know that lady Dustin mention's brandon then ned. The quote is on screen. So I figured that it implies that lord Rickard gave ned the backup plan
      He may have. But there's nothing to support that. And on top of that, her reference to ned serves abother key role (something I debated including in this video. Something I will surely layer in to a video at some point)
      The discussion is about theons love for the starks. She knows he loves them... theon loves the starks for the same reason she hates them... because they wanted to be starks but never could
      Thisbties into jons emotional journey, and if I'm write about the NK being the N''s K beING baels child being the a bastard of winterfell (possibly even named Jon snow), then he may have felt the same way that lady Dustin, theon, and Jon felt towards "starks"
      It's also worth noting that there are various examples of wordplay that serve as support for the jon=lightbringer hypothesis. Fire as a word for life. People described as swords.
      (Warning. Nsfw commentary which Im only addressing since I firmly believe it's pivotal to the story)
      But for me, the cornerstone of this hypothesis is something lady Dustin says about brandon being fond of his "bloody sword." The one he used to take her own maedenhead.
      So she addresses this in a discussion in the crypts. When addressing events surrounding rhaegar and Lyanna. When discussing wanting to be a stark (like Jon snow)
      Which is why some, myself included, believe azor ahai (rhaegar) forged lightbringer (Jon snow) after killing Lyanna (Nissa nissa) by sticking his "sword" into her heart (he loved her).

    • @sophiawilson8696
      @sophiawilson8696 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lightbringer is Jamie Lanniser who is weapon to use against the Others. Azor Ahai is Rhaegar Targaryen Nissa nissa is Lyanna Stark that use to forge a wepon that use to form as Visenya Targaryen. Rhaegar Targaryen forms 2 with Elia Martell = Rhanys Targaryen and Aegon Targaryen. Aegon Targaryen might be alive or I think he is nephew of Aegon Targaryen Unlikely (Egg)Dragons are fire made flesh. Fire are weapon against the cold.

    The mystery killer on Theon's Ghost of WF chapter is Ramsay not Mance. Go back to ACoK's Chapter 56, Ramsay disguised back then as Reek executed Theon's ironborn men using the same m.o. Theon had these men help him & fReek stage Bran & Rickon's deaths. He believed the ironborn can't keep secrets, so he worried the northmen he had hostaged inside WF would eventually learn what truly happened in the mill.. he confide this to fReek. Reek made a suggestion and volunteered to carry out the killings covertly for him. This is why on his GoW chap too, Theon taught to himself the whole situation w/ the mysterious deaths was so familiar, like a mummer's show he had seen before. Then when he came face to face w/ hooded mystery killer later on and mentioned Ramsay's name, the killer laughed at him. Ramsay loved torturing others & playing cruel games.. for him its amusing to watch Theon so broken he can't remember their shared secret and think straight anymore.
    Back to your main subject on this vid.. it's interesting to note that the most famous Stark, Brandon the Builder.. the man history claims as founding father of House Stark is never mentioned to have a tomb deep in the crypts.. was he a King of Winter then if he was truly their founder? The KoW predated the Kings in the North. Why did the Starks need to change their ruling title from KoW to KitN? When did that shift happened? I believe the answers to these questions are significant to Stark family history. I have a theory that the Stark branch ruling to this day isn't the rightful ruler of the 'North' and not the original head of their clan.. and the 'true North' (including those burried ancient Starks on the lower levels of the crypts) knows their forefathers' betrayal. Most 'ghosts' featured in this story are vengeful and restless souls.. and there is a veiled storyline in ACoK's Stark chapters telling of a family betrayal. Simply put, the Kings of Winter and their branch were betrayed by their relatives themselves.. they were erased in history by the younger and the perceived more 'noble' Stark branch (that Stark family who once lived in the modest First Keep). The King in the North usurped the power of the King of Winter (the King whose seat of power was the Nightfort). They stole his crown, took his house words 'Winter is coming' and demonized his character. I suspect they unfortunately failed to get hold of his sword Ice and had to settle for a Valyrian sword they just named the same to take its place. Revisit Bran's 1st chapter up to Cat's chapter of ACoK.. Bran using the Lord of the Crossing game alluded to the gist of the story, the next chapters seemed to have given certain details. If there's going to be a Night King in the book series, I bet he belongs to this exterminated branch of the Stark family.. it won't be surprising if he showed up in the story weilding the true Ice.

    I’ve never seen anyone connect Bael’s bastard and the Night’s King. I believe Mance says he becomes Lord as well. Also this second secret about the Night King’s identity isn’t old enough. The crypts were made by Bran the Builder and the Night’s King is the 13th LC many years later. So is there no secret in their building? What about why a portion would be collapsed when built by the great builder?

    bridge4 , very well done here identifying all those connections & parallels. As i commented on the first part of the Secret of Winterfell Crypts video , believe it was your last video, in that i definitely hope you are right about the Kings of Winter rising , akin to Dunharrow in LoTR. Personally for me I hope its more symbolic than literal and perhaps nothing more than a tease of that happening but it manifests itself much differently than expected or does not happen at all. I would prefer that the genius that is GRRM does not go with so similar a Tolkien occurrence but that instead the key elements wrapping up his masterpiece are his own unique choices. bridge4, my question is some theorize the Horn of Winter was going to be the impetus for the rise of the Kings of Winter ; instead do you think the Horn of Winter will play a role towards breaching The Wall in the books ?

    • @bridge4
      @bridge4  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think the kings of winter rise. I'm not sure where you heard that, probably someone else
      I haven't put much time into joramuns horn. Maybe it's a dragon binding horn: dragons can bring down the wal

    • @AndrewK23777
      @AndrewK23777 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bridge4 , for sure it was somewhere else there are some content creators who have theorized about the Horn of Winter doing such citing hints from the books , you have been consistent in saying that won't happen and i hope you are right, For me i always hoped any hints of a Dunharrow 2.0 happening would be too unoriginal and that i hope the genius that GRRM uses his own unique methods to wrap up his masterpiece. In the books at the Fist of the First Men , Ghost uncovers dragon-glass weapons only but in the show they included an ancient seemingly broken horn and haven't expanded upon it since. In the show to me that was more of an Easter-egg tease , bit of a nod to the books but in the books if the Horn is found i believe it will have some role to play. Although like you say and i agree i don't expect it to be to raise Kings of Winter. In the books they reference the Horn of Winter can awake giants (which i believe to be hyperbole or symbolism) and Mance threatens to take The Wall down with what is perceived to be Joramun's Horn but i believe there is a later quote that suggests it was just an old war-horn from Giants that Mance was claiming was the Horn of Winter.
      I do think if the Horn of Winter is found in the books it will have a part to play , GRRM doesn't include throw away occurrences like that but as of now it appears to still be lost and perhaps may not be found before the last two books finish. Shame the show totally omitted the dragon-binder horn that Euron has , it would be a bit much to just throw it in the last six episodes but i am not sure if the Horn of Winter would be a dragon binding horn. Back in that mythological time would there have been need of a dragon binding horn in Westeros for example. And there are references to the Horn of Winter either bringing The Wall down or bypassing the magic , whether or not those should be believed is another question , especially as imo GRRM wants us to be skeptical of statements like that and the myth prophecy within the narrative.
      As far as dragons being able to take The Wall down in the books i am not sure tbh. The Wall is protected by very powerful ice magic , i think dragons being able to cross The Wall let alone take it down is more a show occurrence and short-cut the show-runners took. In Fire & Blood , Silverwing refused to cross The Wall so she either wouldn't cross or couldn't cross and my opinion is that Silverwing could not cross the barrier with the magical protection intact. This is where i feel the books and the show differ (among many other examples of this) but dragons able to cross The Wall or take it down i don't believe will happen in the books unless the magic protecting it is dealt with first despite dragons and dragon-fire also being magical themselves. In the books we now have the Silverwing example , we see wights of any kind not being able to cross The Wall either direction of their own will / doing , examples of warging abilities obstructed by those on opposite sides of The Wall etc. It remains to be seen and GRRM could quickly dispell this in the next two books but in the books i don't believe dragons will be able to cross The Wall or take it down unless the magic is dealt with first. Perhaps if the Horn of Winter is found that may play a part there or i could be wrong which we will see in the final books , but i do believe The Wall's magic has to be dealt with first and foremost and that what we saw on the show with dragons crossing and destroying part of The Wall is a show shortcut that deviates from the books which is just one of many other examples of the show doing such.

    Wondering if, as you analysis talks about purposeful ‘misspellings’ -> ‘Knights Watch’ for the ‘Knight’s King’ the 13th Lord Commander. The Night’s Watch used to be noblemen and swore and swear an oath similar to a Knight.

    • @Denimsmith2023
      @Denimsmith2023 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      bridge4 sorry this is long... but only because I’m a big fan!
      GRRM prequel states “Only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend … it’s not the story we think we know.”
      In the legend of Bael the Bard, plus your theories, Bael was the King-beyond-the-wall (Free folk; not hereditary ruler), so therefore his son wasn’t technically a ‘Stark bastard’ nor a prince, like Jon wasn’t born a prince nor a bastard - and yet both. Bael not only broke traditional Guest Right by ‘kidnapping’ the Stark maiden but also took First Night rights by deflowering her (plucked the rose unasked). The ‘Long night’ started that evening, then the birth of that first ‘Stark bastard’, to that Stark bastard killing his father (kin slayer and king slayer), him becoming the 13th Lord Commander, and then ‘brought down’ and fled beyond the wall and became the ‘Night’s King’ -> a King beyond-the-Wall, like his father. But all was a misunderstanding, based on rigid cultural norms created by the high ranking bloodlines of the ruling class (ie the wheel).
      White Walkers are Knights, originally the 13th Lord Commander’s disciples from the Night’s watch, as you once proposed, (though I’m questioning if could be ‘Knights Watch’ -> no apostrophe). The Night’s King is the Knight’s King (with apostrophe). Craster’s boys become Knights. And the wights are squires & pages.
      Knights are noble and are heroes in stories and song. And the Watch was once highly regarded and their ranks were filled with volunteers from noble houses, as serving was a sign of selfless devotion to the protection of the realm. Like Knights.
      The Knight Without Armor is a legendary knight of the Reach who lived during the Age of Heroes. Tales describe him as a knight even though knights came to Westeros thousands of years later with the Andal invasion.
      Queen Visenya Targaryen modeled the vows of the newly-created Kingsguard on those of the Night's Watch. Like Knights.
      So possibly everything that runs forwards (south) also runs backwards (north) - or rhymes lol. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @bridge4
      @bridge4  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bael didnt kidnap here, so there was no breach of guest right. i think the guest right breach occured up at the night's fort. when they brought him down and then covered it up to make it seem as if him and his lover were evil
      ok, just got to your misundersanding part. i think we are on the same page then
      not sure the white walkers were knights tho. because knighthood is related to the Seven. depends on when the andals arrived i guess and how involved they were with the wall
      ok, i see your "knights bumblin' around thousands of years before there were knights" (Sams night's watch histories and lore video) type reference. i dig it =))

    The old Stark kings has their swords placed on their graves. And it's said that it stops them from rising. Could this be because the swords used to be valerion steel? Like ice and they did it so they wouldn't rise as a white. Also could it be a way to keep the night king down once he's defeated by placing a sword on his grave?

    • @bridge4
      @bridge4  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm torn on the iron sword thing
      I tend to believe that it doesnt actually do anything. I thinks that the northerners believe it does. But it's just a wives tale.
      However, I might be mistaken, but I think the crypt door is a big, heavu ironwood door. So it makes you wonder if iron and ironwood do actually related to the trope of iron vs spirits of the dead
      However I still lean towards no. For now I see it as George offering a fantasy trope,but never clarifying it is true
      Same with melisandres "he who's name.must not be spoken" about the great other.
      I don't think saying his name would actually resurrect him.
      But I do think it's a.nod to that fantasy trope (I think Harry Potter used it. I.might b3 wrong)
      And more importantly for this story, her warning about his name might be a clue to his identity... just so happens that the night"s kings name was banned and his records erased. Fits well with "he who's name must not be spoken"
      And although people think I'm nuts, I still.think his name was Jon snow. Among other reasons, Jon was thinks that "his name will be shadowed forever" because he feels guilty for things like ygritte and letting freefolk south, etc
      But it feels like a subtle nod to the night''s kings name being banned and records erased
      I guess it may also just foreshadow Jon actually taking on the name aegon targaryen, and the world forgetting that everything Jon did, he did as a "bastard" in the eyes of the world. I hope not tho. Itd be a tragesty for him to change his name

    Mellisandre "I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai, and R' hllor shows me only Snow"
    - if Night King is a bastard Stark it`s kinda Snow vs King in the North (or Snow depends how you take it, Jon is not a Snow anymore - in the show)
    - But in the show Jojen said to Sam that no Kings of Westeros and theyr armies can`t stop the White Walkers.

    So good. I hope they have time to EXPLAIN all of it in a way that makes sense in the last season. Besides that, the history repeating thing means that someday, thousands years after our days, a descendent of Jon and Daenerys's kid will have the same fate as the other Night King... sad.

    Great video as always! Do you have theories on the secret or importance of Isle of Faces? It seems like Isle of Faces has special importance.
    -In John's 5th chapter, before he takes his vows he thinks to himself that he'll never see places like Casterly Rock, the Red Mountains of Dorn and th Isle of Faces.
    -In Danny's first chapter she thinks about places in Westros like Castelry Rock, High Gardens and Isle of Faces.
    Do you think the night king is heading to the Isle of Faces? To end the curse maybe or meet his maker or kill the remaining children or cut down the weirwoods to end the magic once and for all which could possibly end the curse and set him free.

    • @bridge4
      @bridge4  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thinkm th importance of th isle of faces is that the pact was agreed to there.
      The humans unknowingly broke that pact when the Andald arrived and burnt/cut down weir woods (and that's when this second night king was.made north of the wall)
      And Mel broke the pact again when she burnt a weirwood at storms end
      I'll keep my.eyes out but I haven't ever found a clue to the isle having a role in the ending
      And if I had to bet, Id bet on winter falling at winterfell

    Why did the white walkers spear Sam`s life? Could it be because the night king knew that Sam would help Bran discover who the white walkers are later on?

  • @mydudeleakytiki3261
    @mydudeleakytiki3261 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    While I'm not disagreeing with you, I think there's more to it than just an identity. Since Bran the Builder used both Giants and the Children of the Forest to construct the crypts, it makes no sense why the crypts simply collapsed where he and his immediate family would have been buried. Maybe another Bran caused the crypts to collapse (Bran the Breaker)? But what's hidden is yet to be revealed.

  • @roodog3761

    How do you come up with these theories? Do you go over every book in fine detail? This is so interesting, all these little hints pointing in all directions. I’m going to binge watch the series before s8 arrives...I’ve read all the books now.

    • @bridge4
      @bridge4  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeh. I've literally read every chapter 5 to dozens of times.
      For example, when I outlined a bunch of arya videos last year, I read her chapters something like 12 times over. Because every time I had a new idea t look for, I wanted to comb every sentence for clues
      And I get hated on for that. I get it, by analyzing the way I do,I'm going to run into problems of data mining.... finding "clues" that aren't really clues
      But I.firmly believe that George does hide clues in his writing. I mean, we know he does (bran thinking "the only tricky part was doors" in terms of him bumping his head on doorways since hodor would forget that bran was on his back lol

    • @bridge4

      I actually reached this video today for some reason and was disappointed. I had put a tonnnnn of research into this over the last two years. And I stand firmly behind what I was trying to say. But I did a poor job of presenting it
      It's difficult, especially wrh longer videos. Bc I'm so ingrained in them,that they make sense to me. But turns out, they don't resonate with me a couple weeks later (which means they probably don't resonate with people watching them)
      Ah well. This was a bummer Bc it's a key topic and I think it's important for either s8 or the prequel :))

    But wasn't the Night King created long before Bael the Bard by the children. If the Bael story has any truth to it that means he was a wildling right meaning the wall must have been in place unless their was wildlings before the wall was built so I can't see it being Bael and the stark girls son but I could see him as the Nights King that ruled on the wall.

    • @JMaguire17

      k ray Bridge4 has already touched upon this in one of his videos, the theory goes is that the NK wasn’t the first white walker

    • @bridge4

      I was one of the "grrm said they are not the same" defenders for years. And most of those people are the most hardcore and knowledgeable fans
      But at some point, I opened my mind to the chance that we were wrong. That HBO made a mistake in first calling him the "night's king" before switching his credits to night king as if he is a different character
      Then George rr Martins "no more likely to have survived" was the koolaid. And we all drank it. But now this words appear misleading (like bran dying in the cave)
      Same concept as grrm editor asking if coldhands is benjen. And grrm added a note in his boOK "no" ... I now think that's misleading. That's why grrm teleased that photo. Bc he's being honest but it's misleading... benjen died from all intents and purposes and became a new person,cold hands
      This rhymes with many. Like the hound is dead. Left behind dog head helm. But sandor was reborn. If we asked grrm "is the grave digger the hound?",he'd probably say "no." Cause he's not. He's sandor
      So now, I'm arguably the biggest, or only proponent (is that a word?) Of the night king being the night''s king. And i do believe we will see the nk soon in the books
      It all depends on there having been a nk before the one we know (since this guy came from wall, which came after ww supposedly)
      Once hbo released a cave painting with a ww night king I with a beard, I was ecstatic. Bc it eludes to that missing piece that I needed
      But id be lying if the communities rebuttals haven't had an impact on me. Cause like I said in the beginning, it's the most knowledge fans who even know about the Night's king. So their opinions carry weight
      One of my strengths is that im fine being alone. I realize im the only one to think he is the nights king. Or that they heal the night king, they dont kill him.
      But as we approach s8, I'm getting nervous. Cause we will find out some clues. Maybe not everything. But I think we'll learn enough to know whether he was the nights king or not. And id really like to be right on this one since I'm sticking to my guns
      It's just hard since I've presented various ways of suppotting my view, and either I sick at presenting, or I am delusional, becsuse im.failing to convince most people to get off their trains and join the one with my friends and I
      However, even in writing this, I'm finding strength. I'm sticking to.my guns
      Cause ive said other "tinfoil", "reach," or "stretch" stuff according to haters that immdiately get blocked since its very annoying to read that lol.
      One example is that arya kills the mountain, not sandor.
      Im.sure others have consider3d that for decades probably. But the overwhelming opinion was that sandor wins cleganebowl.
      When i released my first clue of arya killing the mountain, I got a lot of pushback. But I've gone on to release more. Like the video on the poetry to the water dance vs the Knights dance of hacking and hammering.
      Or Gregor repeated abuse towards women and cHildem, most noteably, rhaegars children. So it would be most poetic for Gregor to be taken down by a female child. And it's extra fitting that its neds child since thoros or beric said "some say the war began when lord eddard sent beric out for the mountain"
      Over time, I've seen the pulse of the community change. Such as when im.watching other people's live chats and reading the comments
      So that opinion was once "tinfoil," but now it's not
      The question is... how come my nights king = night king is still looked at as tinfoil... is it because I'm wrong? Maybe...

  • @Lumberzach1983
    @Lumberzach1983 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I came here for information but now im so confused about all of this.. At 12:41 you said bael's child (the candidate most likely to be the night king) was born in the winterfell crypts. the winterfell crypts was made roughly the same time the Wall was built. the Wall was built to keep the night king and his army from invading again. So, the winterfell crypts likely did not even exist when the knight king was already at war with man, right? So how could the night king be born in the winterfell crypts?
