Superb as always 🤗💚💛💙 it was so much fun collaborating on this on PATREON. ah, I wish more people would join to chat 😌🤓 I was wondering about Mel being a slave. .. where is her tattoo? I don't remember seeing it on her young nor net old self. ..🤔
lol thanks for the patreon shout-out. you're the best LMR!!!! yeah, its strange that neither her nor thoros have tatoos. some of the priest in the books have flames tatooed (sp?) on their cheeks. they wickedly powerful too. this dude bennero is able to shoot flames out of his hands (probably too fantasy-ish for GoT, so instead they replaced him with an attractive girl - kinvara)
Melisandre: Mothers scream when they're giving birth. Afterward they're filled with joy. Shireen: Afterward they aren't ash and bone. Damn! Shireen was such a clever and kind girl. I'll never get over her death.
I wasn't sad when Shireen died. It was the "typical" GoT moment, it felt wrong yes, but didn't hit me in the feels. Yet I cried like a baby listening to Davo's monologue. Liam Cunningham is a great actor, you could feel the pain the character was in, the anger, the need for justice. God my eyes are watering.
couldnt agree more. he's my favorite character. but also my favorite actor. part of it is because of who he is playing - Davos. but his acting is stellar. the delivery about shireen to mel in season 6 is my favorite acting in the entire show. ive actually teared up a couple times as he says it, and ive heard the line 50 times lol
absolutely. i cant recall if he was my very favorite character from the books. i think he was but either way, Liam elevated the character. liam is the friggen man!!
Adam Black yey, team Davos, he can play all kinds of emotions: brings the feels when he talks about shereen; brings giggles when he hits on misande; shivers when he talks about the NK; resolve he rallies the troops 😀😎 he the man😎
Right, I want to watch other things he is in, his IMDB page lists his other works. I just want to watch those episodes of shows I don't normally care about just so I can see more of his acting range.
*Couldn't comment earlier, no connection in The lands of always winter. But want to thank you. You have some things wrong, but you get the general idea. Really don't want to hurt people. Rather drink a cold Jägermeister in an Inn joking around with the normal humans... They only want to wage war though. Was a bit grumpy too. For 8000 years no Queen, trust me you'll get grumpy too... Luckily I've found my Night Queen now. Very happy with her, we want to go to Dorne. Heard it's nice there, just hope nobody stands in my way to start a war with me and those I liberated, just because I'm blue....*
My new theory is that the white walkers never came south of the wall. Bear with a bit of tin foil. This is the first time. The cave paintings, the stories, all of that has been passed down based on Bran going back in time and trying to warn everyone. They play the telephone game over the ages and Jon snow is remembered as the last hero and episode 6 was the journey with his companions to stop the night king. The lord of light religion is a misinterpretation of his warnings made to fire mages in the past. The irony is that, much like what happened to hodor, I think Bran inadvertently creates all the events leading up to the night king going south of the wall. They have spent a lot of time warning Bran not to stay too long in the past, that foreshadowing does not end well for him. And maybe he just does his best while stuck in the past making peace between humans and children, building a wall, writing books (still stuck in some locked room in old town because it's unverified), and telling stories of the future. What do you guys think?
I could see that. It makes sense with the whole "prophesy biting you in the ass" idea too. By trying to stop it, you can become the cause; like Cercei causing her own fate.
A bit late but I want to point out something in regards to Melisandre's quote about the onion being half rotten.. We see Sam (in the books) pick up an onion, half black with rot and half edible, and he cuts the rot off and eats the good half. Always loved that little detail.
This theory is really good. It paints the white walkers as just survivors willing to do anything to live. people of the faith of rhollor view the white walkers as evil yet the white walkers lived in the north with giants and men in their territory without fighting for 8000 years.
exactly. 8k years (unless they were hibernating) is an incredibly long time to not war. whereas many never goes a decade without warring. not saying man is evil. just saying that its a bit ironic to call the WW evil because they have warred 2 times in 8,000 years
I think he was the last hero, or rather, I think the last hero story is twisted around the truth of what happened to him But I'm not sure he was azor ahai. Granted there was one of the past and a current one. I think that gar is the current one, so the NK may have been the past....or actually, I think bark the bard may have been. Maybe the NK's mother died. If so, I'd he to change my view on stuff and that would imply that the NK was the fest light bringer. And the starks are all his descendants.that would be crazy cool!
Wow. U got my wheels spinning. I dropped 4 videos I'm working on to make one on back of your comment. I'm taking some major turns from the night king being aOr ahai, but do u mind if I give u a shutout on the beginning for your comment which got my wheels spinning? (I'm going to the ballet tonight, so I'm trying to figure this out today - one missing piece to the theory I got - and produce it tomorrow. Public Monday)
It's turning into a bigger project. Was gonna do a quick one, but now I'm expanding it. Will still give you the shutout tho. Thanks again for sparking my imagination. I'm rereading a tonnnn of twoiaf right now because of u lol
Damn, you could convince me of the most strange sounding things. The Lord of Light is evil, I agree. Light creates shadows, without light there is no darkness, without good there is no evil. It makes me wonder, is anyone evil? Shireen was good, 100%, when you compare anyone to her, they are evil. Take Ned, he lied to his entire family and killed people. Compared to someone like Cersei however, Ned seems like the best person that has ever walked the earth. There is no black and white, nor good and evil. There are opinions and comparisons. Maybe burning people makes the burned go to the afterlife where everything is perfect. Maybe becoming a wight is super comfortable, and the Night King is doing everyone a favor. We simply don't know, and frankly, I doubt anyone in GoT/ASOIAF knows if what they do is good or evil, in the grand scheme things. They only think from their perspective, and then everything they do is good. Anyway, sorry for the long comment, it probably doesn't make sense at all
this was a great comment. never apologize dude. plus, this was not long. you should see some comments. literally 5 times as long (and im not hating on them either. some of those a great. i've read short-story fan fiction that people have posted here thjat was pretty entertaining!)
bridge4 well, it's nice to know that I can keep on talking here, the ideas won't go away. Speaking of ideas, in the season 4 (I think) promo they showed 1 Dragon flying above King's Landing. The Night King currently has one Dragon, and it wouldn't surprise me if he just started attacking castles and cities with Viserion, and then raise all the people he killed. Imagine a million Wights in the middle of Westeros.
that vision didnt have snow tho, so i dont think it was viserion. maybe it was just drogon when dany went to parly in season 6? or maybe after the snow melts at the end of season 8?
bridge4 I hadn't thought of the snow, you're right. I hope it's long after the second ( or maybe even more) Long Night, showing Jon and Dany ruling, with new baby dragons as a final montage. Never going to happen though
whoa, that's a pretty wild connection i see her as gray. i think she's coming around finally. but she's dome some horrrrrible things in the name of "r'hhlor"
Or she might use all those acts as a test of her faith and when the catastrophe is avoided credit her faith and devotion as the reason reinforcing her beliefs. Coz it was all for the greater good
Imo the idea of 'evil' in this story is the very idea of war and conquest itself. It all comes back to the war between the first men and the children and how they created evil to fight evil basically, they were being massacred so they created the Night King to do the same to the First men. He himself isn't evil, but what happened to him was definitely evil on the part of the children, he was turned into a lifeless immortal forever to kill his own people. But in the same sense, the Children did that evil in the name of 'good', to save themselves. Which is were the grey area comes in. War IS evil even if it's done in the name of good. most 'good' people in the show have been forced to do evil things in the name of war.
couldnt agree more. the real evil is war in general. very GRRM thing to say. granted, the hound line from "brokan man" episode still applies "you dont win by dying either" this story is so complicated. so gray!
bridge4 That dude from the Broken man episode gave me this very thought. He wasn't an evil guy, but he lost himself in the tide of war before he even knew what was happening and did some evil shit. He was one of the wisest people in the story to date, he was the only one so far who understood the futility of it all, the 'Game of Thrones' and how normal people die for richer people to control land and titles, just to be mistreated by the next King or Queen. A real sleeper character, shame he didn't get more screen time he was an interesting dude.
+Tom Evans yeh. I was originally going to incorporate the broken man concept into this video, which is why I did that one first. I ended up going a different route tho But totally agree. It's related. And the axt, Ian mcshane, was amazing
If the Children of the Forest created the Night King...Who were the First Men & the Children of the Forest fighting in the first place? This is the piece of the puzzle that Brann needs to figure out. The Night King "Needs to be defeated"...but, why & how?
I've always thought that there was more to the Night King than just some killing machine that wanted to take over the world. Ever since the vision of the children stabbing him in the chest and him looking petrified, I knew who the true villain of the story was, the children of the forest. Even if the Night King does have some kind of revenge agenda the children made him that way. They turned him into what he is so I honestly don't see him as a true villain at all.
Why can't it just be as simple as... The Night Kings power comes from the long night and he can sense that the winter that is coming will be one of the longest, hence the most powerful time for him to return? Sometimes, even in Martin's writings, he does do things that are fairly basically straightforward. Who really didn't know that Jon Snow would come back to life?
Interesting theory but if night king is threatened why can't he just stay in the land of always winter. It's not like the humans will venture so far just to kill him or maybe fanatics will lol
+niteshmurti my take rigjt now is that he envisioned rholler leveraging dany as azor ahai, so he started mobilizing in hopes of preventing his own destruction.
bridge4 it's possible, but in my opinion, if that were the case, he could have just stayed in the land of always winter, since it's quite far from human lands
+niteshmurti I hear ya. But keep in mind thoros came to westeros within the last decade either two. And melisandre more recently. The difficulty of my argument is that we dont see the "what if." Maybe the NK has a vision of BennerO in the books or kinvara ib the show mobilizing the followers of rhhlor north of the wall to attack So before that happens, the NK started moving south It just seems very vanilla for an evil entity to move and a hero to respond. My guess is that the "enemy" is acting as a hero for his own side in hopes of preventing their own prophecized doom (I don't think it's going to work tho.. I think he's gonna get smashed in dorne)
bridge4 well, one thing for sure is that it's not going to be a vanilla good vs. evil thingy. GRRM definitely gonna make NK have complicated motivations
Every single time I think I have something figured out, you give me more to ponder. I appreciate all the work you put in. You're one of my top 5 favorite channels.
Dan Weiss called the White Walkers "ice demons" and they decided to make them ugly and old and wrinkled in the adaptation. Not the beautiful, graceful, slick versions they are in the books. GRRM would also never call them "ice demons". So, therefore, I suspect it will be a straight forward good vs bad in the show and that there will be ulterior motives other than the desire to kill everything. I believe the books however, will feature a more gray storytelling of The Others and will give us reasons for their actions and may even make us feel bad for them. But don't hold your breath that they'll do any of that in 6 episodes in the adaptation.
"Why now?" Comets, dragons, witches and war. But what else is new/starting all over again? Q: Why do the faces "carved" into the Weirwood trees appear to be in such physical or spiritual pain? Are they truly carved (and if so, by whom?) or did they form as the outward expression of the Greenseer soul trapped within? Its hard to turn a "whisper on the wind" into a cry for help - but a silently screaming face rising out of the bark and weeping blood should be a big enough clue for anyone. A Clash of Kings: When Jon, dreaming as Ghost, heard Brans voice from a Wierwood (via the direwolfs supernatural senses), he could also smell soil and stone and death. The implication is that Bran was communicating back thru time from a Greenseat yet to be found: the one under Winterfell. "I like it down here," the future 3 Eyed Crow (still a child) said. Does he really have a choice, though? A recognised trope of horror movies is the demonic creature luring in a victim who ends up becoming the demon themselves. There's something poetic in the archetype of, say, a Genie needing to find someone else to trap inside the bottle so that he himself can be finally free. We've yet to read how - or even IF - Bloodraven will die. But can he even, until his heir-apparant has been found? Or is he, as the "Last" Greenseer, cursed to remain an endlessly withering, ever-living prisoner of the Wierwood until his replacement is installed beneath a screaming tree of his own? I cant help but wonder if his motives are as magnanimous as GoT would have us believe. Or indeed, what fresh opportunities this "changing of the guard" might present to one who is opposed to the Greenseers and their controlling vision of history. Or maybe it's just that those pained, pale, bloody faces in the woods kinda give me the creeps ; )
+hgwells allthewayfrom1899 br tells bran in adwd bran 4 that he wI'll see well beyond d the trees. They are just for beginners. I didn't realize he said the same thing in the show. I'll have to find that. The show always has bran at a tree tho, bc I think they dnt want to confuse viewers thst bran can now see from wherever he wants
bridge4 I tell you whats bogus, Kev. That goddamn quote I gave up there! You know, the one in that paragraph I just...deleted ; ) There's only so many rewinds I can watch to try and back myself up. But I do wonder about Bran seeing "beyond the tree." That doesn't necessarily mean he'll ever escape his roots, excuse the pun. Just that he wont always be limited to the viewpoint of looking out from the eyes of those creepy carved faces. Anyway, time to put the genie back in the bottle. Have a great weekend Oh forgot to mention, I'm midway thru s2 of Vikings. After a slow start its fast becoming a favorite. Definitely worth a look when you feel like getting your wolf-pelt on. Hail Ragnar!
+hgwells allthewayfrom1899 I need tO start thar but I don't have cable. Will need ti figure out whicH streaming services have it U have a great weekend as well :)
Dude I have enjoyed watching your videos nearly as much as the show itself. You have kept me sane while I waited the incredibly cruel two years that D&D have forced us to wait. Whether your theories turn out to be right or wrong you are the best thing to happen to the fandom since its inception
Gotta give it to you here, again! I love all of your theories, they're all so very interesting and very plausible.. but make me think, and that's what I love the most. You make me see and think things that I never would on my own. And cry at such beautiful thoughts and sights and clips of your videos. Thank you for another work of art👏👌♥️
+Julia Edd yeh there are a few. Pod is pretty aweosme. Myrcella. Tommen. But I just wanted to use my shireen is the only non grey (scale) joke at the end of the video :)
@@harisditta5695 King Joffery was also 100% pure good. He was dealing with the death of his father, the pressure of becoming king unexpectedly at a young age, and the war of the 5 kings. Not to mention an overbearing mother. Who could blame him for being on edge all the time? Also, anger is depression turned outward which is why he would always hurt the ones he loved. Which means he really really loved Sansa. Haven't we all beat, tortured, and tormented the ones we love? Who didn't cry like a baby when he turned purple, bleeding thru all orifices, while suffering in agony, as the life slowly left him? Anyone??
this was one hell of an episode...been watching this kind of channels for awhile now, but rarely i get emotional. this almost left me in tears. keep it up, you got a new sub here!
I don't really buy this idea that seems to be bouncing around right now that the Whitewalkers aren't bad. They're the rightful villains of the series because they represent death- something to be feared by all humankind. At this point I don't think there are any gods within this story, there is just magic- different types. There is both good and bad on both sides. Ice magic is good in the Children of the Forest and the Stark Wargs and Greenseers but it was also used to create the Whitewalkers. Fire magic is good in Dany and her dragons but as you've pointed out, the cult of the Lord of the Light use it for evil. I think the main plot point surrounding the different belief systems is going to be that it's all from the same source, it doesn't matter where it came from- it matters what you do with it. The Whitwalkers were actually created using both types of magic, the CotF and Dragonglass and I think it will take both sides to defeat them Dany/Dragons/Fire, Bran/Ice and of course Jon Snow who holds the power of both.
I always thought the spark that ignited this whole story was the red comet at the beginning that was spoken about in the prophecy. A white looks at the Knight King and says "About that time?" And the Knight King says "Yup".
Great stuff here. Just wanted to add some thoughts I've had recently. Family is the common thread that links the motives of all the grey characters. From Cersei to Samwell, if they have a shred of humanity in them, all of their good and bad deeds are done in the interest of family - if not their own bloodline, then the one's to whom they are bonded by love and loyalty. Family is what Samwell states he is striving to protect. Gilly asks him "what about the rest of the world?" Sam replies: " I don't care about them, not really". I believe the Night King shares the same motives. He is marching South to reclaim the prince, who was promised to him. He just wants his last male heir: little Sam.
Here is another thing I was thinking about - magic that was performed on Varys when he was a child, when sorcerer spoke flames turned BLUE Amazing video :) Keep it up
Well the comet isnt that bad of a reason. I mean “the wall stood for 1000s of years, and every winter ended and the wall stood through it all”. So now that he saw the comet, he knew that there will be dragons around in a couple of years. He only needed 1 dragon so he could break the wall after thousands of years that he had no chance. But now, he broke it and walks south. Makes more sense to me
I'm not so sure. The wildlings were already concerned about the threat of the white walkers at the start of the series. You straight up read about 2 guys getting killed by whites at the beginning, they wouldn't be doing that if they were still hiding. Whatever the answer is, it happened before the events of the show I think, maybe it was when Jon was born.
Abhishek Chauhan also they built the wall after the first invasion to stop a second, and it did it's job for thousands of years. But there was no need for it before.
its a source for weapons, thats for sure. the real protection there comes from it being an island (assuming the ocean doesnt freeze over between it and mainland)
One thing I didn't get tho was that in S8 she literally walks up to the castle right when the Army of dead show up and she's coming from the same direction. How?
There's arguably more evidence for the existence of Rhllor than any other supernatural being aside from the Walkers and the Children. He's arguably evil, but even skeptics like Vars, the Hound, and Tyrion no longer protest that he isn't real.
+kittydreamz86 I could be mistaken, bit I vaguely recall the hound still questioning rhllor even after fire visions. And jon doesn't believe in rhhlor even after being resurrected
I've never watched your videos before but I just wanted to say, first of all, that it is really interesting, and that I really admire the effort you put into responding to most of the comments. You really look like you enjoy what you're doing. Have a nice day!
My headcanon has always been that The Lord of Light IS The Great Other, and I'll continue believing that until proven otherwise. Either way, the video was very enjoyable and brought up a lot of interesting points.
I think that the red witch is a fascinating character because she does have formidable gifts from her god, but like all of the other religious zealots in this world (a world where gods actually actively participate in events and bestow power to some clergy) she mistook her own interpretations of signs from her god to be the only possible meaning for those signs and it led her to do some very awful things, which anyone who gives up their own ability to judge right and wrong to the whims of what they believe a higher power wants is prone to do. The thing is, she learns her lesson, she learns it at a terrible price, enough so that she seems ready to give up her position and go into reclusion until she is convinced to resurrect Jon Snow, and afterwards her dedication to her purpose is restored yet she does not go back to blindly believing that she has a full understanding of what her god wants from her, she is skeptical enough about her own understanding and interpretations of his signs to her to be swayed against rash and inhumane action without thought again.
8:17 Does the Night King have greensight abilities? If so, then, wouldn't he be able to get wind of Dany's plans while she formulates a strategy in the Chamber of the Painted Table at Dragonstone or say some idea thought by Sansa {which she discusses with her subservient Noblemen at the Great Hall of Winterfell castle} or say some tactic that Jon & Davos chalks--out while conversating with each other or say some ploy being framed by Cersei and Qyburn? Wouldn't Night King be able to overhear these conversations\discussions or/and be present right there at those places unbeknownst to the ones to be coming-up with such stratagem? Can the Night King see the proceedings transpiring at Winterfell during suppose when Arya slit Littlefinger's throat,, incase the N·K· is really indeed a Greenseer?
+ What do you think about Jaqen H'ghar ? I think he will also play an important role. I don't think that we saw him so often, just to see him as Arya's fighting teacher.
Damn Kev, you guys are proposing something so crazy that it seems almost obvious. I'm absolutely certain GRRM would actually write it to play out this way. Shades of bittersweet gray.
I think a reason the WW's are here, is because he stopped getting crasters baby boys. Everyone always forgets that craster literally supplied the NK with WW's. Maybe he had enough WW's to launch an attack on the living, maybe the day craster went down was the last time his army got stronger
I think the Walkers timing on the attack has to do with a theory based around Bran going back in time, getting trapped and becoming the Night King or the first walker. The reason the Walkers are back now is because Bran is about to depart back into the past and the Walker's arrival is what sent that chain of events into action. Three-Eyed Raven says the ink is dry on the past. What has happened is what will always happening. It's a self-fulfilling prophesy. If the walkers don't march upon the world at this time, Bran would never go back into the past in the first place. The NIght King is activating a sequence of events.
And that opening scene made me think that shireen's sacrifice was the only way, that she was able to bring Jon Snow back to life... Only death can pay for life? Was that we were supposed to get from that, that I just got on the boat late? Did everybody else know this and I'm just catching up now? Why did it never occurred to me before until just randomly clicking on a video that I've already watched by you and having that opening scene hit me in the mouth?!
in the show version The Red woman reason for burning Shrieen was for the good weather to attack Winterfell. In the books I believe the burning of Shrieen (IF Happens) that news reach the Wife and The Red Woman that Stannis LOST the war. They decide to burn Shrieen as Sacrifice.
Is it possible that the only cure for becoming a white walker is the stoneman curse? That each cancels the other out? And that all the walkers are heading to Valeria?
yes I know that! I've been here since day 1!! Sometimes, after time has passed I like to re-visit vids that I've saved to watch again later. So I recently re-watched this vid. And decided I appreciated it far more after I was overwhelmed by everyone breaking their asses to get their vids out first.
You can see how broken Ser Davos is when he says "How many died because you were wrong." He lost his liege, his family his home and all those he held dear. All because Melisandre was wrong in believing that Stannis was Azor Ahai.
her heart is in the right place, but she's been brainwashed. and unfortunately, she is brainwashing others s7 eluded to her finally admitted her wrongs though. so im loking forward to her role in s8 i suspect she raises arya from the dead (arya being the excact same age as shireen. so nice poetry there)
Okay, I'm inclined to believe that R'hllor does exist (if any gods in the ASOIAF universe are real- I REALLY love your theory about magic/power coming from humans) but I think the followers have run the religion off the tracks. Compared to the faith of the Seven- which has a lot of rules that are actually codified in the Seven Pointed Star thereby giving people a guide to follow-- and the Old Gods, which have no official rules, it seems to me that the Lord of Light's followers do what they want "or what they interpret in the fire" and call it doctrine- which is a recipe for corruption and disaster.
Melisandre is the reason for every problem in westeros rn. Without her Stannis would be king with Renly by his side. The Lannisters would all be dead including Tywin. Robb Stark would be alive because he wouldn't have gone south because Stannis would have gotten revenge for him. The wildlings would still be alive and with Jon as the lord commander they might have formed a treaty of some sort. Danny would probably be dead because Tyrion would be dead. In that case Jorah wouldn't have been there to save her. The Wildlings could come south of the wall. The Night king would be stuck with a tiny army beyond the wall without a dragon. To rap up: the Starks would all be alive, Stannis would be king, the Lannisters would all be dead, Danny would be dead, the wildlings would be alive, and the Night king wouldn't be a threat. The end.
Good breakdown. It's weird not knowing where this is going, but as stated, we don't know the motives of the others at all, this is the best and most reasonable attempt to understand what they are thinking.
So many people taking the prophecies as gospel. Treating them as literal is idiotic. Was passed down by word until the Maesters started writing down. Also Azor Ahai has nothing to do with Westeros and the wall, his battle happened near the Five Forts.
bridge4 Last hero for the Westeros wasn’t it? Get what you mean with AA being reborn to fight in Westeros, can’t wait to find out more about the long night in Esoss Can see all the red God’s followers getting a right gut punch when shit finally happens and their interpretations of prophecy are proven wrong, really wrong. Think the old Gods and the children will be the nearest to the true religion and what’s actually going on and Rhllor’s is just their own spin on it, much the way Abrahamic religions are just different takes in the same outline.
im curios about volantis why is mel. going there and what do u yhink she needs to do there and how long before she comes back and when she does come back what form will she come back in ??????????? if poss a short video on this thx..jonny in wifes web///
Great video. I have long suspected that the white walkers wasn't these clear cut villains like they're portrayed in the show. I am convinced whatever caused the white walkers to leave the first time will be how they leave this time, and my top choice on that is a marriage (based on the story of the knight's king).
+nobleglass1 I used to think a pact. Now I'm thinking they all die, which will be sad since I don't see them as pure evIL "The trees remember truths long forgotten in winterfell" - thst totally seems to be related to a pact or marriage
Jon is lightbringer for sure. Dan certainly fits the azor ahai better than anyone. I loOK at her as a red herring. But it's subjectve. U might be right :)
Not related to the vid, and sorry if you've been asked before but are you called Bridge4 because you've been reading the Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson? Great books, new one soon :)
bridge4 not yet, i soooo want to but forcing myself to finish book 8 of the wheel of time first. Not long to go though. Such a great series. Love Mistborn too. Did you read the Mistborn secret history novella?
So it’s like real life. Different parts of the world believe in different gods and excuse their evil deeds in the name of their gods. All these gods are never seen but makes sense to have them to explain things we don’t understand. If there is a god, it’s the same god, just interpreted differently by different cultures. Some call it God, some call it Allah, some call it Yaweh etc. Same....
Love it! your statement is the best. The actions of The Red Woman is her own not the will of Rhillor. Do not based feeling of religion based on priest and temple slaves.
I can't express enough of how I'm feeling after listening to your videos, only words that came to mind, "Your killing me Smalls" lol. Just, OMGGGGGG and your facts are straight out of the book for comparisons. Just, OMFG lol. Truly, like really truly, holy shit lol. Everything I've ever theorized just went POOFFFFFF, down the shitter lol. BUTTTT it makes so much more sense with your explanation
@bridge4 Do you think it's possible the 13th Lord commander loved Danny flynt? I forget the chapter but when bran is in the night fort the 13th lord commanders wife is a "corpse" what if he used blood magic to bring her back or maybe she was turned to a wight. Hence the Icy skin and eyes.
I definitely think he loved her. And I dont think she was even a white walker. im guessing that's part of the lie, to make the betrayer's (brothers of the nights watch and/or starks) seem more heroic than they are One of the flint house sigils has blue eyes on it. So the white walker claim may have just been a play off a family that has blue eyes It'd be neat if there actually was a female white walker though at some point :))
@@bridge4 the description of ygritte body when she passes is interesting. I forget the verbage both it was noted she was icy I believe. Definitely see what your saying about pumping it up though, alot of the nights watch is fake news 😅
john snow is (the prince that is promised) the new prince of the white walkers the replacement of the night king as his name is john snow the name the north speaks to call the winter (winter is coming) i think the real villan is ......... (insert name here)
hey Martijn! replacement in whose eyes tho? the night king's? if so, why has he tried to kill jon so many times and also, why do we need white walkers at the end of the story?
Entertaining your idea: It’s possible the NightKing (NK) could have killed JonSnow (JS) a couple of times already, but hasn’t because he needs him alive to convert JS in a similar manner to his own. He doesn’t need to kill to convert - Crastor’s sons for example
Fantastic. If I had to guess this would come to be one of your most under-appreciated videos. Or perhaps it's just personally that I appreciate to listen to different peoples' perspectives and their interpretations. And well, this mystery of the others is also a personal favourite topic. And yes, wow, Shereen truly is a black sheep event breaking the rule of social psychology which otherwise heavily influences the entire story, about "the human heart in conflict with itself." She was truly good. ;__; AND SHE KILLED'ER
Awesome clip bro. My 2 guesses 1. They want little sam because it was promised to them by craster and it's the only way they can replicate. Via Offerings they can turn. 2. The spiral is the spiral of violence they are trying to stop. Which is your theory Kev: they are striking out at the endless spiral of violence. Dude for real you got a new high for n your clips. When Celine bro sir (I forgot) and he yells for his sister "Celesse " still raises my hairs and then he says "sire I served you well" Even while the guy was burning he didn't lose faith man what a good series I don't think any of the show ever top GOT again
dude. i had actually forgotten about this scene until LMR reminded me of Mel/Shireen chatting about it afterwards i have grown to like mel, especially since i think she is questioning her faith at this point. she still wants to defeat the dead army, bc they are here and attacking. but i think she is starting to wonder if she was part of the reason they are attacking. so she might regret that (not sold tho), and she definitely regrets other stuff like shireen
bridge4 "after they are not ash an bones" I was more pissed Shireen died more than any character. Parents burning their children because of misguided faith. The way her mom was on the ground screaming for Shireen while she burned .....fuck that was disturbing. She would have played the GOT better than anyone . " I know it" ....a Quote from the faceless man spy misseinde to "king Jon" at dragon stone
people speak about the most heart-wrenching death and sometimes say the red wedding or ned.... but i dont see how shireen isn't a clear cut number 1 lol. her character being so adorable, the bond with davos, his 2 attempts to save her, stannis 2 talks with her, selyse's reaction, and the actress' heart-wrenching screams that death was the worst by faaaar imo
bridge4 yeah. I will admit the first time I saw the red wedding and heard the musicians singing "the reins of castemere I was like " no f'ing way" . I am pretty sure this story will not be beat in our lifetime. Which I am ok with, but the books are written so well and the show is so good that it is highest ranked show of all time regardless of the drop off in last 2 seasons slight writing quality decrease.
You're so close. You're still using words of judgement. There is no good or evil. There is no hero or villain. This is a weird one, but define hot and cold. You want to point at the middle and say right there. What if you're greedy? What if you want to divine a larger range of degrees for your side? What if you're elitist? Only a very small range and everything else has to get out of my universe. It's the antagonistic view that screws things up. Everything is balance. Finding your compliment. I'm not sure how many people will die. I don't even know if the Night King knows this either. But under that glamour is a purple eyed, silver haired dragon that was taken as a slave. (Beyond pillow houses there has to be a reason Dragonlords keep entertaining there) Why do you think Kinvara has such a devilish smile when she talks a out Mel? Why does she always see snow when she's looking for her Azor Ahi? Who's the knight in shining armour? Don't worry There's still two more heads, I won't ruin the whole thing for you. Just remember what Varys said, power resides where we think it resides. In a hundred years and in a thousand, men will tell the story and some one in it will be the hero. But What's a hero? The history of Westeros was put in a blender by maesters. If you want to define an age as starting a the Dawn, why would your empire occur before a period of long darkness? You'd call it a Dusk Empire. It has to happen within the Dawn. Why were people chopping so much wood and making so many fires? Why is that so emphasized? Was it happening during a long period of darkness? Ok, they were tired of war so the smart people got together and agreed to an arrangement. How do you seal a pact after a war? How did the Andals make peace when swords didn't work? It's insane but, GRRM told us the answers were all in the first book. Robert: What holds this world together? Cersei: Our marriage... I believe the song of ice and fire sounds a little bit like a wedding march. I suppose if anyone might be the hero, it's the greenseer that asks everyone what they want, what they really really want.
do u have that quote from GRRM? a few people have mentioned it recently. i have always assumed he laid hints in the first book, but i would love to see GRRM say that, bc then i will reread that book over and over lol so do u think it ends with a marriage of ice and fire? jon and dany? NK and dany?
bridge4 I'll look it up. Oh ya, I've been trying to figure out the significance of an observation. There were 6 "children" in the cave with bloodravin. It got past me till I realized bloodraven might be the stranger. I've been following the legends the include Maids. Hugor Hill, seven maids gave him his own with blue eyes, and armour to be knights. Then he invaded with the faith of the seven. Galladon of Morne, maid and a sword. Florian the fool, 6 maids at maidenpool. Night king. They're all about knight sort of imagery, and pale maidens with deep blue eyes. The names of all this children in the cave with Bran are similar to names of the 7. Right. Now that I pointed that out. Crastor was sacrificing. And that probably implies a very pale maid came to him. His females didn't act like wildlings, they acted like good faith of the seven ladies. I have weird idea. I think Crastor might have turned the tables on them. I think he was holding at least one Maid hostage in return for safety. Remember there were only 6 in the cave. So... that might mean Sam has one of his maids and he wants her back. So Sam is the evil kidnapper I guess. Who says he cRaven. Lol I've been bending my brain on this till last night I watched a vid that pointed out Melisandra had no power at high heart, but she feels very powerful on the wall. Suddenly things are clicking. Those little "children" have put a wall there. This kinda makes things bendier. Ok so which came first? That the big puzzle. Figuring out who recorded each price of info and their perspective. This might sound off at first so get ready. What if the new god are the old gods? (I have a fee versions, but only this one first) ok, so there's a pale silver haired, purple eyed humans that love dragons. Dragons are fire and blue eyes are ice. And just to complicate that the little people who seem to be the blue eyes maids are connected to the seven. And fire doesn't have a lot of power where the trees are. We have a Grey king that killed a sea dragon. Which obviously means the iron islands was a volcano (the dragons body warmed his halls). So if the iron. Islands near the neck was a volcano the arm of dorne was probably a volcano. A chain of 14 volcanos seems to have blown causing the doom. History has been put through a blender. If you were a septon would you maybe describe your people as children? Here's a good one. The giants in the bone mountains were more than twice the size of the giants in the North. Are the giants the first men/hairy men that wrote runes? Remember the song about the last giant? Everyone in the North was sad when Jon didn't understand the song. Think about it. The hairy men, check the wiki for what the people in westeros say giants look like. SOB. Those little monsters are the children. The giants in the North are the first men. The blood betrayal is the wall. The children pushed the first men into the North with the others. The wildlings are children that still remember. The north remembers. Damn.....
Well. I've had some time to think. Hugor was sent by 7 with a maid. When the Andals attacked they burned trees and killed children of the forest. But wasn't it children that sent them? It has finally revealed itself in my brain. Pale maids, blue eyes. How the heck have I never realize those are Qaarthi addicted to shade of the evening! Ok, I'm good. I just need to sketch the relationships. Children using bloodraven and Bran instead of themselves. So, I was hoping the woods walkers were fluff text. But Qaathi with shade, it almost demands a look. So, now I need to consider if there is a separate group of children as the blood betrayal
Superb as always 🤗💚💛💙 it was so much fun collaborating on this on PATREON. ah, I wish more people would join to chat 😌🤓
I was wondering about Mel being a slave. .. where is her tattoo? I don't remember seeing it on her young nor net old self. ..🤔
lol thanks for the patreon shout-out. you're the best LMR!!!!
yeah, its strange that neither her nor thoros have tatoos. some of the priest in the books have flames tatooed (sp?) on their cheeks. they wickedly powerful too. this dude bennero is able to shoot flames out of his hands (probably too fantasy-ish for GoT, so instead they replaced him with an attractive girl - kinvara)
My pleasure Kev ☺ being a PATREON on Bridge4 is awesome.. ah the conversations we have😅😂😎 oh my.
hahah, oh LMR. ill say it again. you're the best!
Your tattoo theory is VERY important and a good catch!
So many clues and so little time.
I think Mel would only have a tattoo if she was a slave in Volantis. Do the other slave cities tattoo too?
Melisandre: Mothers scream when they're giving birth. Afterward they're filled with joy.
Shireen: Afterward they aren't ash and bone.
Damn! Shireen was such a clever and kind girl. I'll never get over her death.
+Jon Snough shireen was the best!!! Such an adorable, kind, and witty girl :)
bridge4 The actress the played her was great too
+Jon Snough absolutely!!!
cried like a baby when i saw her death. she was too innocent for that world
Not clever enough to evade the Gods' destructive whims!
People seem to forget that Rickon was just as good, innocent, and blameless as Shireen.
True true
Rickon to be the most changed character from book to show
I wasn't sad when Shireen died.
"Melisandre is wrong, nothing is black and white, everything is gray."
That sounds like a black and white statement to me lol.
Hahha talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Caught red handed, well played, ser
@@bridge4 lol
Man, Liam Cunningham is a wonderful actor.
couldnt agree more. he's my favorite character. but also my favorite actor. part of it is because of who he is playing - Davos. but his acting is stellar. the delivery about shireen to mel in season 6 is my favorite acting in the entire show. ive actually teared up a couple times as he says it, and ive heard the line 50 times lol
Right, Davos is my favorite character of the shows, in part because of the passion and empathy Liam brings to the character.
absolutely. i cant recall if he was my very favorite character from the books. i think he was
but either way, Liam elevated the character. liam is the friggen man!!
#TeamNightKing
Night King we will *love* Dorne
Your queen sits on the iron throne right now.
lol. thanks for stopping by NK :-P
oh my lord. NQ, too! =)
She was good, she was kind ANYA KILDA!
took me a second to get what you were saying lol. Davos' speech. well played
😭 RIP Shireen
Awwwww 😭😭😭😭😭😭👏👏👏👏👏👏I Love, Loooooooove Davos and this accent, nailed it. I cried hahahahahahaha
What do you guys think?
as a mind-bender, i like it
This is surely the first time they passed the wall, because it was built right after their first attack
Excellent.
You’re on to something.
Always loved that little detail.
nwCairns I LITERALLY THOUGHT OF THAT WHEN MELISANDRE TALKED ABOUT THE HALF BLACK ONION THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POINTING IT OUT OMGG
This theory is really good. It paints the white walkers as just survivors willing to do anything to live.
people of the faith of rhollor view the white walkers as evil yet the white walkers lived in the north with giants and men in their territory without fighting for 8000 years.
exactly. 8k years (unless they were hibernating) is an incredibly long time to not war. whereas many never goes a decade without warring. not saying man is evil. just saying that its a bit ironic to call the WW evil because they have warred 2 times in 8,000 years
What if the Night King and Azor Ahai are the same person and the story isn't about humans at all.
*spooky music*
I think he was the last hero, or rather, I think the last hero story is twisted around the truth of what happened to him
But I'm not sure he was azor ahai. Granted there was one of the past and a current one. I think that gar is the current one, so the NK may have been the past....or actually, I think bark the bard may have been. Maybe the NK's mother died. If so, I'd he to change my view on stuff and that would imply that the NK was the fest light bringer. And the starks are all his descendants.that would be crazy cool!
rhaegar*
That would be cool, I'll watch for your video.
It's turning into a bigger project. Was gonna do a quick one, but now I'm expanding it. Will still give you the shutout tho. Thanks again for sparking my imagination. I'm rereading a tonnnn of twoiaf right now because of u lol
It's probably so simple we can't even see it on the tip of our nose!
I think the Night King is/was Azor Ahai... ie “ There must always be a Stark in Winterfell.’ We’ll
There must always be a Night King...
Sometimes lying is for the better. When Ned lied he did good. That lie might just save Westeros.
Melisandre kinda sounds like malis- (Latin) -andro (Greek) which roughly translates to "bad human"
whoa, that's a pretty wild connection
i see her as gray. i think she's coming around finally. but she's dome some horrrrrible things in the name of "r'hhlor"
Ra Lu you might be right actually, wow
Or she might use all those acts as a test of her faith and when the catastrophe is avoided credit her faith and devotion as the reason reinforcing her beliefs. Coz it was all for the greater good
Andro -> άνδρας in greek means man not human
I think is mélisa (Honey, bee or sweet) + andros
Imo the idea of 'evil' in this story is the very idea of war and conquest itself. It all comes back to the war between the first men and the children and how they created evil to fight evil basically, they were being massacred so they created the Night King to do the same to the First men. He himself isn't evil, but what happened to him was definitely evil on the part of the children, he was turned into a lifeless immortal forever to kill his own people. But in the same sense, the Children did that evil in the name of 'good', to save themselves. Which is were the grey area comes in. War IS evil even if it's done in the name of good. most 'good' people in the show have been forced to do evil things in the name of war.
couldnt agree more. the real evil is war in general. very GRRM thing to say. granted, the hound line from "brokan man" episode still applies "you dont win by dying either"
this story is so complicated. so gray!
bridge4 That dude from the Broken man episode gave me this very thought.
I ended up going a different route tho
But totally agree. It's related. And the axt, Ian mcshane, was amazing
If the Children of the Forest created the Night King...Who were the First Men & the Children of the Forest fighting in the first place? This is the piece of the puzzle that Brann needs to figure out. The Night King "Needs to be defeated"...but, why & how?
if i'm gonna be honest i dont think they are going to show anything about the night kings motivations
you are smart
The difficulty of my argument is that we dont see the "what if." Maybe the NK has a vision of BennerO in the books or kinvara ib the show mobilizing the followers of rhhlor north of the wall to attack
So before that happens, the NK started moving south
It just seems very vanilla for an evil entity to move and a hero to respond.
GRRM definitely gonna make NK have complicated motivations
niteshmurti He wants everyone to be a part of his army. In that sense no wars, no mutiny, no jealousy. Everyone's equal.
Every single time I think I have something figured out, you give me more to ponder. I appreciate all the work you put in. You're one of my top 5 favorite channels.
"There's only one hell...the one we live in now." Has even deeper meaning now.
Finally a theory that builds a connection between the followers of r'hllor and the others
But don't hold your breath that they'll do any of that in 6 episodes in the adaptation.
purple gorilla good guess.
I love the way you interpret prophecies. You explain them metaphorically. You do not take them in a literal sense. I admire it.
You know, the one in that paragraph I just...deleted ; )
There's only so many rewinds I can watch to try and back myself up. Have a great weekend
Oh forgot to mention, I'm midway thru s2 of Vikings. After a slow start its fast becoming a favorite. Definitely worth a look when you feel like getting your wolf-pelt on. Hail Ragnar!
+hgwells allthewayfrom1899 I need tO start thar but I don't have cable. Will need ti figure out whicH streaming services have it
U have a great weekend as well :)
Dude I have enjoyed watching your videos nearly as much as the show itself. You have kept me sane while I waited the incredibly cruel two years that D&D have forced us to wait. Whether your theories turn out to be right or wrong you are the best thing to happen to the fandom since its inception
appreciate the kind words and support. thanks =))
1:00 Why did he return now? Tyrion pissed of the Wall in S1 and the night king stood under it.
When they show the night king's face he always looks like he's trying to communicate with his eyes. Like he has something important to say.
He came back because the pact was broken. Men were not supposed to live north of the wall and the wildlings were taking it over.
Wasn't Hodor also pure good?
+Julia Edd yeh there are a few. Pod is pretty aweosme. Myrcella. Tommen. But I just wanted to use my shireen is the only non grey (scale) joke at the end of the video :)
Pretty sure Ramsay was pure good too, just liked sausages a bit too much..
Slayer that’s funny made me laugh
+Sergiu Oltean thanks, Sergiu!
Why is death the ultimate thing to fear when we all die anyway? using that logic all acts are justified in the name of avoiding death
@@falaflani4831 You know who tried really hard to avoid death? Lord Voldemort.
I always thought the spark that ignited this whole story was the red comet at the beginning that was spoken about in the prophecy. A white looks at the Knight King and says "About that time?" And the Knight King says "Yup".
I tend to think is one of the more important factors as well. A long cycle comet that periodically amplifies magic as a whole or something
Gilly asks him "what about the rest of the world?"
Sam replies: " I don't care about them, not really".
I believe the Night King shares the same motives.
He is marching South to reclaim the prince, who was promised to him. He just wants his last male heir: little Sam.
Here is another thing I was thinking about - magic that was performed on Varys when he was a child, when sorcerer spoke flames turned BLUE
Amazing video :) Keep it up
Well the comet isnt that bad of a reason. Makes more sense to me
André Van der Linden There were no dragons during the Last long Iight, And Dragons were there till last century....Why didn't he came early then?
I'm not so sure. The wildlings were already concerned about the threat of the white walkers at the start of the series. You straight up read about 2 guys getting killed by whites at the beginning, they wouldn't be doing that if they were still hiding. Whatever the answer is, it happened before the events of the show I think, maybe it was when Jon was born.
Abhishek Chauhan also they built the wall after the first invasion to stop a second, and it did it's job for thousands of years. But there was no need for it before.
Melisandre “brings death” where the Night King is bringing the dead back to a kind of life.
I have a question. Wouldn't dragon stone be protected from the night king and his army. With all the dragon glass.
its a source for weapons, thats for sure.
the real protection there comes from it being an island (assuming the ocean doesnt freeze over between it and mainland)
One thing I didn't get tho was that in S8 she literally walks up to the castle right when the Army of dead show up and she's coming from the same direction. How?
wow, great video! I love your views and opinions on what real world parallels what GoT has.
Best video I've seen so far. Well done sir!
Thanks :))
Is it Rhillor evil? or the actions of his or hers priests or the followers of Rhillor?.
"Afterwards they aren't ash and bone." One of my favorite lines in tv GOT.
truth bomb's from an amazingly little girl
RIP shireen :(
I totally thought that said “the real reason the white walkers are black”
Lol
All Good Points
I originally thought it was like the mass effect story... no spoilers but they may end up being like the reapers.
That would make since although fire brings life, it destroys. Ice kills but it preserves.
+Tj Friedgen yeh, the key seems to be balance, bring us back to gray :)
Maybe the light is the real invader. Without any light the reality is darkness and light came to remove darkness.
2:59 The Red Priestess has the same necklace as the Night King. Why do you think that is?
red preists (some of them), have the hexagon pattern, like melisandre, quaithe, and the tiles at dragonstone
Shades of bittersweet gray.
i like how you added bittersweet into that "shades of grey" line! well played!
the wall. he's back to tear down that wall, mr. gorbechev
They're just trying to stop Cersei, but everyone keeps blocking them with walls and shit.
Love the video dude
I always figured he was coming for lil Sam. Thinking like he was kidnapped from him.
6:20 - I don't remember this scene, but I'm glad I was reminded. Shireen was such a boss. 💖
The Night King is rushing south because theres a big army of monsters north of his army
Excellent video...absolutely thought provoking..thank you
+Teresa Bolling thanks, Teresa :)
I can’t get Over kinvaras body😂
lol no comment =)
bridge4 I’m sure anyone who’s seen her can agree Mr.Bridge ;)
damn, you're good, best theories I've seen so far!
lol im not good. i do love the story tho =) thank you btw!
I like this explanation of your alternative idea.
Is it possible that the only cure for becoming a white walker is the stoneman curse? That each cancels the other out? And that all the walkers are heading to Valeria?
You're killin' it Kev! * tears of pride*🤤
:)) this is an old one
yes I know that! I've been here since day 1!! Sometimes, after time has passed I like to re-visit vids that I've saved to watch again later. So I recently re-watched this vid. And decided I appreciated it far more after I was overwhelmed by everyone breaking their asses to get their vids out first.
besides, you can compliment one of my old ones...
Have you watched any of my Narrations yet?
That's nice of you. You just made my day and my day just started :))
Love this video. I like the way that protagonists can be antagonists, and vice versa. Its all subjective, but I like that it could make sense.
the george quote that i put in the video description is pretty clear cut. its doubtful he is painting the WW as "evil"
thank you btw =)
Dude this was an awesome video 👏👏💥💥💯💯
Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked
3:57 in to video what dose it look like and what could it mean? if anything.
Im siding with the pop sickle zombies❄️
akeel brown . . . The Night King is cool.
I feel like the Faceless Men would accept The Others and see them as only wanting to bestow The Gift (of death) to the world.
Yes! Perfect to wake up too.😎
You can see how broken Ser Davos is when he says "How many died because you were wrong."
He lost his liege, his family his home and all those he held dear. All because Melisandre was wrong in believing that Stannis was Azor Ahai.
her heart is in the right place, but she's been brainwashed. and unfortunately, she is brainwashing others
s7 eluded to her finally admitted her wrongs though. so im loking forward to her role in s8
i suspect she raises arya from the dead (arya being the excact same age as shireen. so nice poetry there)
Okay, I'm inclined to believe that R'hllor does exist (if any gods in the ASOIAF universe are real- I REALLY love your theory about magic/power coming from humans) but I think the followers have run the religion off the tracks.
YOU are my new favourite 😘😘that voice of yours is hypnotic and the content of the videos bang on! Thanks for your time with these awesome videos!
thanks, RITV! =)
The end.
LOL!
Good breakdown. It's weird not knowing where this is going, but as stated, we don't know the motives of the others at all, this is the best and most reasonable attempt to understand what they are thinking.
+Blade Mancano I wonder if I'll change my opinion on a few days. This story sends our brains on rollercoaster rides
Thank you btw!
So many people taking the prophecies as gospel. Treating them as literal is idiotic. Was passed down by word until the Maesters started writing down. Also Azor Ahai has nothing to do with Westeros and the wall, his battle happened near the Five Forts.
+Louis Cipher there's the old azor ahai and also the prophetic one tho. And the prophecy is painting azor ahai as the savior against the WWs
bridge4 Last hero for the Westeros wasn’t it? Get what you mean with AA being reborn to fight in Westeros, can’t wait to find out more about the long night in Esoss Can see all the red God’s followers getting a right gut punch when shit finally happens and their interpretations of prophecy are proven wrong, really wrong. Think the old Gods and the children will be the nearest to the true religion and what’s actually going on and Rhllor’s is just their own spin on it, much the way Abrahamic religions are just different takes in the same outline.
Another great video man
Maybe the bittersweet ending is that the Lord of Light religion takes overs but it becomes obvious how evil it is.
+Linda W could be. That would be very bitter :-/
But more in tune with our world, making it even more bitter
im curios about volantis why is mel. going there and what do u yhink she needs to do there and how long before she comes back and when she does come back what form will she come back in ??????????? if poss a short video on this thx..jonny in wifes web///
im digging into it. i dont know, but i believe it will be important and could go a few ways... ill let ya know soon =)
I always wondered if craster was the tipping point. Really how many other people can be out there offering up babies.
Now I'm thinking they all die, which will be sad since I don't see them as pure evIL
"The trees remember truths long forgotten in winterfell" - thst totally seems to be related to a pact or marriage
I think Daenerys is Azor Ahai and jon snow is light bringer because his vows were i am the sword in the darkness
+Laura Jarvis yup. Stormlight archive is my fav. More than asoif. Mistborn too. I love sanderson
Have u been reading oathbring chapters every tuesday?
bridge4 not yet, i soooo want to but forcing myself to finish book 8 of the wheel of time first. Not long to go though. Such a great series. Love Mistborn too. Did you read the Mistborn secret history novella?
ive only done the first mistborn trilogy. i didnt know there was a secret history novella!?!? is it for the old stuff of new stuff?
Why did they killed Gared then?
They traveled 9 days north, west and north some more. They entered the ww territory
@@bridge4 Oh yhanksa
Take that with a grain of salt tho. Its just a guess
Possibly even allowing himself turned into a white walker to turn her, idk just a thought
I definitely think he loved her. And I dont think she was even a white walker. im guessing that's part of the lie, to make the betrayer's (brothers of the nights watch and/or starks) seem more heroic than they are
One of the flint house sigils has blue eyes on it. So the white walker claim may have just been a play off a family that has blue eyes
It'd be neat if there actually was a female white walker though at some point :))
@@bridge4 the description of ygritte body when she passes is interesting. I forget the verbage both it was noted she was icy I believe. Definitely see what your saying about pumping it up though, alot of the nights watch is fake news 😅
Good call!
"The ice crystals had settled over her face, and in the moonlight it looked as though she wore a glittering silver mask"
@@bridge4 I love your work keep'em coming
john snow is (the prince that is promised) the new prince of the white walkers the replacement of the night king as his name is john snow the name the north speaks to call the winter (winter is coming)
i think the real villan is ......... (insert name here)
hey Martijn!
replacement in whose eyes tho? the night king's? if so, why has he tried to kill jon so many times
and also, why do we need white walkers at the end of the story?
My 2 guesses
When Celine bro sir (I forgot) and he yells for his sister "Celesse " still raises my hairs and then he says "sire I served you well"
Even while the guy was burning he didn't lose faith man what a good series I don't think any of the show ever top GOT again
dude. i had actually forgotten about this scene until LMR reminded me of Mel/Shireen chatting about it afterwards
i have grown to like mel, especially since i think she is questioning her faith at this point. she still wants to defeat the dead army, bc they are here and attacking. but i think she is starting to wonder if she was part of the reason they are attacking. so she might regret that (not sold tho), and she definitely regrets other stuff like shireen
bridge4 "after they are not ash an bones" I was more pissed Shireen died more than any character. Parents burning their children because of misguided faith. The way her mom was on the ground screaming for Shireen while she burned .....fuck that was disturbing. She would have played the GOT better than anyone . " I know it"
....a Quote from the faceless man spy misseinde to "king Jon" at dragon stone
people speak about the most heart-wrenching death and sometimes say the red wedding or ned.... but i dont see how shireen isn't a clear cut number 1 lol. her character being so adorable, the bond with davos, his 2 attempts to save her, stannis 2 talks with her, selyse's reaction, and the actress' heart-wrenching screams
that death was the worst by faaaar imo
bridge4 yeah. I will admit the first time I saw the red wedding and heard the musicians singing "the reins of castemere I was like " no f'ing way" . I am pretty sure this story will not be beat in our lifetime. Which I am ok with, but the books are written so well and the show is so good that it is highest ranked show of all time regardless of the drop off in last 2 seasons slight writing quality decrease.
i wouldnt be shocked. it's production is so well done. hard to beat
if other stuff can live up to this, then we are lucky!
When the Night's King reaches out and grabs Bran, it comes off as a gesture of kindness to steady him.
(Beyond pillow houses there has to be a reason Dragonlords keep entertaining there)
Why do you think Kinvara has such a devilish smile when she talks a out Mel?
I suppose if anyone might be the hero, it's the greenseer that asks everyone what they want, what they really really want.
do u have that quote from GRRM? a few people have mentioned it recently. i have always assumed he laid hints in the first book, but i would love to see GRRM say that, bc then i will reread that book over and over lol
so do u think it ends with a marriage of ice and fire? jon and dany?
Lol
I've been bending my brain on this till last night I watched a vid that pointed out Melisandra had no power at high heart, but she feels very powerful on the wall.
