- Since it’s ridiculously cold out right now and there is snow on the ground, it’s the perfect opportunity to stay inside and work on some projects. The Project Traxxas TRX-4 Lifted Ford Bronco has been dominating our workbench so we’re going to continue it’s build. This time we’re focusing on the electronics. The TRX4 kit comes with the electronics such as radio, ESC, servos and motor, but this is a project! We’re going to upgrade the servo while we build the truck and show you the different servo options available from Traxxas like the 400 Red and 330 Blue high-torque, metal gear, waterproof servos. We’ll also talk about the Traxxas BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit) and why you need it for high powered servos. The rest of the electronics get installed in this video too. Exactly what I did to my bronco. The 330 is perfect. Plenty of power in compacted snow dirt and while laying on your side pinned between 2 rocks.

Great to know their new style servo 400/330 will see in future months what people have to say about those. Maybe they will compete those servo vs implement servo brandnames with highest HD quality, speed & torques. Cheers

I like the build. I just saw Traxxas are coming with a new TRX4 Mercedes G500. I saw a blue and a yellow one. I'm not sure but it looks like it comes with lights but i could be mistaken about the lights.

Call me a sucker for Traxxas products but I'm looking at the 400 series servo to replace my kit servo.
Spencer Peat get a savox, protek, reefs, or Holmes servos, cheaper and work much better and much better quality

Peter Hurley I do something called research. Traxxas makes shitty products, their electronics are some of the worst on the market.

The stock servo is horrid! 2nd time on the trail it failed in the middle of crossing a stream, had to take off my shoes to retrieve it!
I have the 400 on order along with the BEC. I HOPE it'll work better then the Savox servo that also failed...3 times!
Great stuff i learn alot on every video i watch have you done a review on the redcat gen 8 yet? Theres alot of talk about it. Im going to pick one up in the next week or so.
Great video! Was wondering if the mini drift servos can handle 7.4 volts or are they limited to only 6.0v I was considering upgrading the esc to Hobbywing 1080 on mine.

is the bec the same thing as a transponder and if not what are the differences
Lol way different. Bec holds power for the servo to use. Transponder keeps track of lap times and position

2075R = Racing. R is for Racing.
T. Man you probably already knew this Traxxas R has 2 meaning. R could be for Racing but also for Red aluminum such as G for Green but X for Blue. But the R & X are tricky as use letters for both meaning. X for advance from basic parts (or Blue), R for Racing however might not be best racing parts if compare with other brandnames upgrades parts. Bashing X & R OEM parts are great upgrades. Racing upgrade each people have their own opinions on their personal best Racing parts. Cheers
