- Our Project TRX-4 is back on the bench again. Actually, it’s been on the bench. Greg has planned to install the new Pro Scale Advanced Lighting System and Pro Scale Winch in the project series rig for a few weeks, but has been interrupted by other new Traxxas products landing on the doorstep. They were fun releases to test, but it’s now time to get the new RC accessories installed. In this video, Greg installs another Pro Scale Light set in the truck and gives you a brief overview of the kit and it’s features. Then he moves onto installing the Pro Scale Winch, then of course takes it out for a drive. You need to see these parts in action on the trail, it will motivate you to customize your TRX-4 RC Crawler!

BTW the rock lights and scene lights can be set to OFF in daylight mode in the settings under the DRL.
Great video Greg! I'm rather envious of the winch, much as I like the one I fitted to my Defender earlier in the year, the Traxxas item looks sooo much easier to fit! I'll need to go back and watch your video on fitting the lighting kit to the Defender - seen it once, but I really do want that kit now!

Do you need any special adapters or cables to run the pro scale lights and winch at the same time? I’ve already purchased the pro scale light kit, and wasn’t sure if I needed anything else before purchasing the winch as well!
Hi Greg, do you encounter any intermittent operation using the wireless link app? My TRX4 sport is using 6533 rx and XL5-HV esc and for about 2x the app works well. And now it shows No High-Voltage Power Amplifier
I would love to know whether that Traxxas winch will fit other trucks like axial Enduro and RC4wd

Hi!!! Great video as always! It may have been covered, but i did not see it in the comments, is the winch waterproof? My rig definitely gets into the water a bit, driving through small streams and stuff.
So, if anyone cares, i called Traxxas and they said that it is waterproof, but it is a brushed motor so be sure to clean it and do maintenance if it gets wet

Hi Greg I also bought advance lighting kit (6591 + 8083) for the sport kit and previously I am using a sanwa rx and a HW 1080C. I understand it is not working on a non-traxxas rx so I use a 6533 rx instead. Is there any settings need to calibrate on the HW esc as the reverse & break led functions intermittently. Thanks in advnace

I just put in the pro scale lights today on my 79 bronco and I don't like to see the rock lights on during the day too, maybe put a on/off switch just for them?! But overall the kit looks cool 😁 nice video 👍
RC4wd make a control box that is remote control. You can turn on each set of lights individually, this set does look good though. Great video

I always suggest leaning towards the side of caution. They do their best to waterproof, but as we know water gets in wherever it wants.
Installed this system to my Trx-4 per the instructions and cannot get turn signals to work. Everything else functions properly. Any ideas what is wrong?

I like the Canyon Trial tires, not changing anytime soon. The Traxxas electronics are junk, change that before you run it.

Clean your camera lens
I always clean it before a shoot but accidentally touched the lens and didn’t realize it.
