    I've struggled with mouse shoulder for almost a year now, and visited a physiotherapist that gave me exercises do to but I feel like they didn't help and maybe even made it worse. After I watched this video, I'm now only been doing this exercise for a week because it actually feels like it helps. I haven't had nearly as much pain since I started doing it, it feels better every time after I did the exercise. A game changer for sure, thank you for this.

      what kind of exercises we talking here?
      also if u experience it during night and morning, its due to ur shoulder popping forward. practice better sleeping posture catered to assisting ur arm. also DO NOT sleep on ur side the arm is on, that pops it way way forward and puts ur whole weight on ur arm, which rly is a lot worse for recovery
      sleep on the other side if u have to, just not on ur aching arm

      @@CatalystPT Hey again. Was just wondering if you've ever seen a case of 'mouse shoulder' where some of the cervical vertebrae are pulled off centre towards the offending shoulder due to tightness in the neck/trap region? I ask, because having been trying this exercise out, in addition to my shoulder feeling a lot better, it seems as if the curving of my c-spine has pulled back towards centre which is great. Am I imagining this or is it feasible?

    A good pal of mine who came visit us this weekend recommended this video. Quite randomly I mentioned to her that I would get sore in this part of my back when I would take a deep breath, and that it was always sore irrespective. She immediately mentioned that a friend of hers who works at a desk as much as I do had the very same problems and she learnt from the best....Dr. G!!!
    I'm going to start this now and hopefully it solved the problem because it's bloody sore!

    Out of desperation, I found this video. Using the mouse is when it aches the most. I'm going to chiropractor, massage therapist and physical therapy. All have helped to some degree but nothing keeps it from coming back. They have all helped correct my posture, forward leaning head and spine issues. However, the PT prescribed this exercise but he also had me doing the stretching ones that you showed not to do. It is amazing that once I stopped doing those and did more of the band exercises, I'm feeling so much better. Thank you!!

    • @katiefan58
      @katiefan58 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@atlndnballer123 I think it definitely depends on what the specific pain is that you have. I ended up doing physical therapy for about 5 or 6 months because the pain got so bad, which included exercises like this and I didn't have much improvement. I stopped PT for a few months and I recently decided on a whim to try a chiropractor which has actually helped so much with only 2 weeks! Not sure if this will help you, but I recommend trying something for a month or two and if it's not helping at all, try something else.

    This video helped me sooooo much, I had been suffering from the dreaded mouse shoulder from working long hours and not having an arm rest, I literally had this pain for months till it got to the point where I couldn't work for 30 min without it coming too painful to carry on, I saw a Chairo practitioner which relied the pain a bit but what they recommended ( using a big on the floor for the upper back roller ) had some relief but it would come back with vengeance, I then had to take time off from work as it got too bad. I rested it a few days till the pain lessened then did the exercise with the thera band, first just 3 x 10 1 day , then 3 x 10 2 times a day , now 3 x10 3 times a day, I also had a tight shoulder at the front so did chest stretches to loosen that and honestly its more or less gone, I have been starting to work again in short periods and no pain and an planning to slowly build my work time up again with taking regular breaks and continuing building the muscles up, I also bought a left handed mouse so if it feels tight I can switch for a while, but thank you so much guys this video has helped me so much after having pain for nearly 6 months!!!
