    Thanks for an awesome video! After 10 years of office work and now 1 year of intense guitar practice, my right shoulder is starting to look and feel pretty stiff. My whole arm looks like some weird tree branch even when relaxed. So I really need these! Thank you!

    I used to row but then I got my anterior pain and stopped. I was not rowing in a good posture I guess. As an addition to these exercises, is there a safe way to row without hurting your shoulder or do you recommend not rowing until the shoulder is okay? thanks a lot.

      Don’t row if you have pain in your
      Shoulders. It’s a medial rotator. It makes your shoulder even tighter. Don’t listen to these goofs.

    What would you recommend if doing the snow angels or swimmers makes one of your shoulders hurt and impinge?

      Yes!!! Isometrics for these muscles in this order, serratus anterior, latissimus Doris, followed by controlled eccentrics for shoulder External rotation and internal rotation.

    What if I do not have the mobility in my left arm to achieve the posture of step 5 (the snow angel?) due to stiffness?

    Does a shoulder extension with a resistance band also help with the triceps? Because when I first started them that muscle would try to cramp. After watching this video I'm super confident with all the exercises my PT gave me because I have the same kind of shoulder pain in the front. And the exercises he gave me have the same objectives.

    How much weight should I use? My son has 10 and 20 lb dumbells, is this too heavy? It's hard to get dumbells in the stores even now that stores have been open for a while, here in Toronto

      hello lisa, sorry for the delay. Start with lighter weights, 5#. Therabands and power bands also work very well and still available through amazon and other fitness websites.

    Are you sure it's a good thing to pull your shoulder blades down & back when you are doing "snow angels"? I always thought it was a bad idea to squeeze down and back when your arms are overhead? This could create impingement...

    My right arm pains, not at the back, but in the front , where biceps meet the shoulder muscles , and top portion, I cannot sleep on my right shoulder. I do weight at Home, may be that caused it, worsened by continuously holding mouse , at arms length ( I don't have a computer table and chair, I have to sit on sofa, and place my laptop on adjustable table).
    Taking painkiller doesn't help. 🙄
    What should I do, already I am skipping exercises. 😭 I am 50 male.

      Maybe see if what you're with weights are the right exercises? Don't want to injure yourself further.

    hey im getting pain under my right shoulder blade from using a mouse, will these exercises help me? also should i stop using the computer untill pain is gone? thanks

      I have the same pain from using a mouse. My mouse was way far out to the right.
      These exercises helped me. Still painful that I switched to left mouse while I do the exercises. They're helping a lot. Just have to do them to get results.

    Rows are one of the worst things you can do. The Lats are powerful medial rotators and make your shoulder even tighter. Hacks

      wouldn't rows make your back strong thus making your shoulder sit back in the socket and increase stability?

      No. Rows activate mostly Lats. Lats are medial rotators, you ever see an Ape? It can bring your shoulder forward if you are unbalanced and already have issues. You should be strengthening your traps not lats.

      the lats for short, play a huge role in shoulder function and health. Often times, these muscles become tight and stiff after injury, surgery, immobilization, a lack of stretching, or repetitive lat overuse/overdevelopment!
