Ok. So how this relates to saturated fats? You say they are fine since they keep the insuline low. I'm reading a book about NO (written by a doc who discovered it and got the Nobel price) and he says that saturated fat tame NO production in the body. If NO is necessary to keep heart (and endothelium lining) healthy, how does saturated fats fit in that equation?

i agree. if you read my comment you will see my journey. i am not on a keto diet, I have just eliminated the demon foods, lol, sugar, refined crabs etc, and I do not snack) Have one fruit a day if available and lower carbs plant and animal based proteins, mostly chicken.and beans. All in small portion size, and that works just great for me.
I'm also going back to keto, heavy on the meat but carnivore itself messed my sleep for a long time and after trying figured out just decided to incorporate back certain plants. I will just continue listening to my body. Good I eliminated the poison like process food and sugars.
I am on low carb (120gms a day) but not as low as keto and I eat mix fruits with egg or peanut butter sandwich with brown bread with a cup of tea,apple cider vinegar, olive oil, ginger and cacao, collagen powder for breakfast

Extra virgin olive oil, moderate exercise like walking at your pace, no stress, eating lots of vegetables that are organic and seasonal, organic free range eggs, garlic and onions , intermittent fasting, organic honey for people older than 1 years old and not allergic to bee products, kefir yoghurt, being happy will help you live longer, this is my opinion.
I came to conclusion that one each of us has unique organisms . There are plenty of veggies that I can't tolerate. Unlike many other people . And meats are a blessing for me.

I was diagnosed with "end-stage liver disease" after being a chronic alcoholic (30 drinks a day) for 20 years straight. Not a single day sober. My liver failed suddenly as I woke with jaundice and was producing no bile (white stool). I looked like a Simpsons character I was so yellow. They said I had three to six months to live. Since I was an angry drunk that ran my entire family off, I decided to go home and die and refused all treatment. I got ascites so bad my lungs collapsed from fluid. My legs and feet developed cellulitis from edema and nearly rotted off. My abdomen had to be drained by sticking a long needle in my back. Five gallons of fluid every few weeks. This was the only treatment I got. I refused the transplant waiting list because I did not deserve a new liver, as being sober made me realize what a useless waste I was to society. Nay, toxic waste to society, actually. By now, I was so delirious from ammonia in my brain and alone in the dark in my empty home unable to walk due to muscle wasting, and the weight of the fluid in my limbs, etc. All the fluid made me like the Michelin Tire man. The hospital sent a nurse to my house for an hour three times a week to bandage and debris my rotting feet. And take care of some things for me around the house. All this time, I had nothing to do but learn the scriptures via youtube videos and dramatized audio Bible playing on loop. I began to hallucinate the presence of the Holy Spirit in my home and had many conversation with him. I never asked to be saved from this slow painful death. I was just thankful I could die sober and aware of all the pain I caused this world. Somewhere along the line I stumbled upon Dr. Ekberg's channel and a video on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It was then that I learned that the fruit juice the hospital told me to drink, the bananas for potassium, and the carbs for energy, the low salt diet, along with their diuretics, were causing more liver dysfunction and fluid retention. I stopped eating carbs and began to fast. That was two and a half years ago. Now I am 41 years old and am healthier today than I was even as a teenager. My abdominal CT scans show no liver damage. The entire liver was replaced by the hand of God. No transplant. No treatment. My bloodwork today is perfect, my body and health perfect. I don't even look the same at 150 lbs. I was 260 lbs before I woke with jaundice that day. I am unrecognizable as a sober human today. People that knew me as a drunk cannot even recognize me. Because that person died. The doctors told me that this was impossible. That a fully cirrhosed liver won't regenerate. But autophagy through fasting and prayer says otherwises. Humility impresses God, apparently. I still have no family and am very lonely, and this has destroyed my mental health. So I still suffer that punishment. But I will now live for a very long time alone and sad. I never get sick, because I have a health gut microbiome. Well, hopefully that inspires you to understand that it's not too late to undo any damage to your body. I was prediabetic too, since my drink of choice was Captain Morgan spiced rum and Coke. Sugary Coke, not diet.

I've been on this plantet awhile and seen and done all sorts of fads....I've gotten the best reaults by eliminating all processed foods and just stuck to eat whole foods of all types. Raw and cooked Veggies of all kinds, beef, chicken, fish, fruit, with sensible whole grain intake and sensible intake of nuts. Out of all the fads...past and present, this proved the best results with the factors of my emotions, physical appearance and blood results. Couldnt be happier and plus lowered my grocery bill by quite a bit

Dr. I see you are getting better and more balanced in your outlook. No doubt it has to do with more research and valid information. In my humble opinion, no vegetable is bad for you UNLESS it affects your health negatively, as with the potatoes and trying to reverse diabetes. Some people just have to be more moderate within moderation itself, and some just have to stay away entirely, according to your issues. That is the nature of health. I am 3 months sugar free, processed and refined foods free! To be honest, because I come from a rice culture, now and then I eat 3 tbsp of rice ( low GI rice, or so they say) with veggies and meat. I do not have hbp, diabetes but I started this for better health. I work out every single day, dry fast twice a week. Lost 14 lbs in the 3 months, ( from only staying away from sugars etc) I was already at normal BMi). I am now at the lower end of my BMI. Feels gr8. I think the only thing I miss is bread! I am 62. I eat a lot of cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and cucumbers and every now and then other low carb veggies.

@@drekberg I must credit you for influencing me into quitting sugars,( even though I was never big on sugary things, except in my tea)and other refined carbs. As i said, i do have a few tbsps of rice now and then, but it does not affect my blood glucose, since I monitor that closely even though I am not diabetic. For one thing, i cannot eat white flour again, within these 3 months, I tried having a small piece of bread, and i get knee pains and a prickly nerve feeling, so I have not attempted that again. thank you

My ancestors are from and I live on Okinawa. The elders live very long and they do eat a lot of different vegetables and lots of protein in tofu, beans, fish, pork and goat. Unfortunately, the 65 and younger are not following the elders’s diet. Too many snacks and convenience foods! More and More people are diabetic and/or have heart problems.
I lived in Okinawa as a teen, from 1970 to 73. Grad from Kubasaki High. My dad was in the Navy so we were stationed there for those 3 years. I did admire even then how the Okinawans worked so hard in the fields and are really well
I do so miss Okinawa. I taught at a university there for 5 years and so enjoyed the people and the place. I noticed that local food included fatty pork as well -- the bitter melons with pork in a champaru with soba is so delicious. I also really miss the beni imo (purple sweet potatoes) and the shiquasa limes. What a wonderful place Okinawa is. Thanks for the reminder of those lovely years.
The only thing that I would add is that where you source those vegetables makes a huge difference to the nutrients, and pesticides, that they contain. Best to grow them yourself if you can or find an organic grower.
Totally!! Home produce is the best because you KNOW EVERYTHING about it and how it was grown. You can also pick it fresh and store it at once if need be.
After struggling with gut problems for a while I have been dividing my food in 3 groups; 1. Bad 2. Acceptable 3. Beneficial Sometimes a food is beneficial to me, while it is not generally considered to be a healthy food or vice versa. It's trial and error. Doctors can tell me what they like, but if I need to stay in bed for days after following their advice, I'ld rather stick with what I know works for me.

It's only been 3 days since l started my sugar _ quitting project. but I've decided to quit it for rest of my life. for the next 30 years and pre--diabetic. I have loved all these videos since the beginning. Please talk more about clogged arteries, what is the cause, and plaque removal- that is a scary subject. Please also talk about what happens when too much fat and protein is eaten - do they float in the bloodstream, get burned quickly, or stored someplace? There are already many videos on what happens after eating carbs, insulin, and glucose in the bloodstream.
My 80 yr old mom has been diabetic 25+ years and really wants to try this, she has a nightmarish insulin pump. When her sugars get too about 100 it quickly PLUMMETS. Many nights she’s gone into the 40s. HOW can I help her start intermittent fasting when she HAS to eat in the middle of some nights? I’m getting her to stop the carbs, but am at a loss on the plummeting sugar scares.
IF isn't magic. it just makes it easier to manage appetite & caloric intake. if she "fasts" from 7 pm until 1 am & then from 2 am until noon, she will still benefit.
My 85 yo mom sounds just like yours. We've found that having her eat a fairly high protein + medium carb snack before bed will cause a gradual higher BG (may get to 200) but then it will "coast" the rest of the night. The protein (and fat, if you can find a a snack she'll eat with all 3) keeps the BG from skyrocketing then plummeting. We've saved my mom from sure death countless times, because she insists on eating foods with little or no protein or fat, so her BG bounces high and low all day...and night. The plummeting typically happens when the person doesn't eat protein/fat meals, but ones with primarily carbs. Also-->have you tired calibrating her sensors? My mom uses the T-Slim pump with Dexcom sensors. We've learned to ALWAYS do 2 simultaneous manual BG checks when she has these scary lows in the night. We've found that they're usually not accurate? Remember the most accurate readings come from manual checks, not from the pump/sensor. They are machines and have to detect trends to "get their bearings," so to speak. (1) Have your mom eat a protein/fat + carb snack before bed. *My carb addicted mom will drink the Chobani yogurt drinks (16-20 carbs + 9-17g protein) (2) When she has scary lows during the night, check her BG 2x (for good measure)with BG meter when she has these lows to get accurate readings. (3) Calibrate her sensor immediately, then help her eat a carb + protein/fat snack to resolve the low. (4) Calibrate her sensors from now on. Manuals admit that sensors can show readings up to 10-20% off. That can be 10-30 points off! This diabetes is terrifying...don't want it!! I'm refining my diet to keep me far from it. 🙏🏼😨

I am 70 and I have found most vegetables are hard on my gut. For me at least, the only thing I want from the plant kingdom is a clean source of carbs. I need about 100 grams of carbs a day and my insulin remains low - 2 to 3. More than that and my fasting insulin starts to rise. My research lead me to organic California-grown basmati white rice. This grain has zero gluten, very low anti-nutrients and low glycemic index. I don’t buy that we need a diverse gut flora as the science is very unclear. It sounds good - like eating the rainbow - but no science exists that says that gut flora needs to be diverse. Having said that, I have been following this doc for years and have learned a great deal.
I've been on mostly carnivore for around two months and have seen great results. Dropped a lot of weight, feel better, sleep better, and many digestive issues have gone away. I do eat some berries with my Greek yoghurt in the evening and have had no problems with them. The couple of times I had vegetables, all my symptoms - bloating, gas, inflammation in the gut, etc - immediately returned. So for now I'll stick to this diet and will try to reintroduce certain foods gradually.
I have arthritis and I just tried eating meat and I started walking without pain but I found I'm having a hard time pooing so we still need vegetables, it's a balance meat fish chicken eggs and some vegetables plus extra virgin olive oil filtered water and nothing else

Went 30 days carnivore in the middle of a keto diet to loose weight. I kept my weight, great, but not if you really want to lose weight. Easy to over eat..... back to 1kg veg a day plus protein and losing weight again. I am now more likelly go go carnivore once I've reached my desired weight! I don't have any veg problems.
@@niellalien If you have a nutribullet take Pinapple, strawberry, banana, orange juice or fresh squeeze o.j., one lime, one lemon, apples and spinach. Drink that one hour before going to bed. Eat vegetables or fruit for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Soups are good too. Good luck! 👍 Drink your room temperature water before you go to the bathroom in the morning. Watch how your face glows.
@@niellalienHe or she was being sarcastic, you actually tend to smell a lot on only veggies (check what other people say but it's what normally happens). I stopped using deodorant after 2 weeks of carnivore because i noticed I didn't sweat anymore and if I did, it did not stink. Try veggies first, see if they work, if not, then try carnivore.
I've given up Vegetables as of 4 years ago and there is nothing like it!!! Fruits too.... and what "comes out" isn't much at all because my body uses the food I'm eating instead of rejecting it. Funnily enough people keep asking me if I've gone Veg because of my obvious transformation and when I tell them the reverse they simply don't believe it.

I started eating lots of leafy greens like kale. I washed it every time, but after several months I got ascaris infection, I'm still dealing with consequences. Now I'm terrified of any leafy greens. How can I make sure that something like that doesn't happen in the future?
pps. Edamame is soy beans. They are anti-nutrients and endocrine disrupters. All beans/legumes have to be treated, cooked in the correct way/fermented for some years, before becoming completely edible and digestible for humans. ☺

If you check put Pottenger's Human channel he has a video on fiber not really being good for us. He's also, in my opinion one of the best to get correct info about fasting. His research is second to none and he shares where he gets his info from.
Low carb and the potential for artery unclogging is great and all, but some of these are high oxalate foods, and I definitely prefer to steer away from those.
As always very educational , I understand feeding gut bacteria , diversity of different vegetables & insulin resistance, but do these vegetables actually & physically unclog arteries ? I see how these might prevent plague in the arteries , but do they actually dissolve clots ? Your title says unclog arteries. My wife & I are huge fans . Thank you
It should be mentioned with regards to gut microbiome: You will leave little to no mess on yourself when number 2-ing, saving you time and maintaining a clean feeling. And it won't smell of a foul landfill. These benefits are often overlooked or not mentioned.
I trust what this Dr says because I feel like he never tries to push me into any kind of diet. He states facts and states why things may work for some and not for others and encourages people to get tested and try things out until finding what works best for them. Not sure what is odd about this? The "overgrowth" is usually caused by 'bad' bacteria that feeds on the carbs before the duodenum. Going low carb will starve the fukkers and the oregano (in particular wild), as well as the garlic are known for their antibacterial properties. I believe apple cider vinegar would also have helped get rid of them.
I agree with your carnivore statement as a carnivore. I have lemon/lime water daily, take probiotics that are different, once in a while have cilantro and beef with onion and garlic and olives.
I had a triple bypass in Jan, one totally blocked and 2 partially blocked arteries, so have been reading up all I can find about how to get better and prevent it happening again...I have recently read that blockage of the arteries by cholesterol is the side affect from damaged arteries, and what damages the arteries is what we need to address... perhaps it is something 'weakening' the cells walls, or something crossing the arterial cell walls that causes 'breakages'?
Diabetes, hypertension, smoking, inflammation are responsible for heart disease. Eat a low carbohydrate diet, don't smoke address inflammation, didn't use vegetable oils etc. Ivor Cummins has a TH-cam channel watch his videos on heart disease you'll learn all you need to know about atherosclerosis CAC scores and heart disease prevention from him.
Arterial inflammation is mainly caused by higher than normal insulin levels that stay high due to the constant intake of carbohydrates. High carbohydrate at every meal plus between meal snacks and an evening snack. It's just not natural to eat so many carbs but then when those carbs come from processed food the problem is ten times worse.

Chronic low grade inflammation and oxidative stress which leads to tissue damage of the artery, and genetic predisposition to weaker arterial walls, higher inflammation and oxidative stress. High insulin leads to inflammation and you can of course also have a genetic predisposition to insulin resistance😄

Ok. So how this relates to saturated fats? You say they are fine since they keep the insuline low. I'm reading a book about NO (written by a doc who discovered it and got the Nobel price) and he says that saturated fat tame NO production in the body. If NO is necessary to keep heart (and endothelium lining) healthy, how does saturated fats fit in that equation?

i agree. if you read my comment you will see my journey. i am not on a keto diet, I have just eliminated the demon foods, lol, sugar, refined crabs etc, and I do not snack) Have one fruit a day if available and lower carbs plant and animal based proteins, mostly chicken.and beans. All in small portion size, and that works just great for me.
I'm also going back to keto, heavy on the meat but carnivore itself messed my sleep for a long time and after trying figured out just decided to incorporate back certain plants. I will just continue listening to my body. Good I eliminated the poison like process food and sugars.
I am on low carb (120gms a day) but not as low as keto and I eat mix fruits with egg or peanut butter sandwich with brown bread with a cup of tea,apple cider vinegar, olive oil, ginger and cacao, collagen powder for breakfast

Extra virgin olive oil, moderate exercise like walking at your pace, no stress, eating lots of vegetables that are organic and seasonal, organic free range eggs, garlic and onions , intermittent fasting, organic honey for people older than 1 years old and not allergic to bee products, kefir yoghurt, being happy will help you live longer, this is my opinion.

I came to conclusion that one each of us has unique organisms . There are plenty of veggies that I can't tolerate. Unlike many other people . And meats are a blessing for me.

I was diagnosed with "end-stage liver disease" after being a chronic alcoholic (30 drinks a day) for 20 years straight. Not a single day sober. My liver failed suddenly as I woke with jaundice and was producing no bile (white stool). I looked like a Simpsons character I was so yellow. They said I had three to six months to live. Since I was an angry drunk that ran my entire family off, I decided to go home and die and refused all treatment.
I got ascites so bad my lungs collapsed from fluid. My legs and feet developed cellulitis from edema and nearly rotted off. My abdomen had to be drained by sticking a long needle in my back. Five gallons of fluid every few weeks. This was the only treatment I got.
I refused the transplant waiting list because I did not deserve a new liver, as being sober made me realize what a useless waste I was to society. Nay, toxic waste to society, actually.
By now, I was so delirious from ammonia in my brain and alone in the dark in my empty home unable to walk due to muscle wasting, and the weight of the fluid in my limbs, etc. All the fluid made me like the Michelin Tire man. The hospital sent a nurse to my house for an hour three times a week to bandage and debris my rotting feet. And take care of some things for me around the house.
All this time, I had nothing to do but learn the scriptures via youtube videos and dramatized audio Bible playing on loop. I began to hallucinate the presence of the Holy Spirit in my home and had many conversation with him.
I never asked to be saved from this slow painful death. I was just thankful I could die sober and aware of all the pain I caused this world.
Somewhere along the line I stumbled upon Dr. Ekberg's channel and a video on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It was then that I learned that the fruit juice the hospital told me to drink, the bananas for potassium, and the carbs for energy, the low salt diet, along with their diuretics, were causing more liver dysfunction and fluid retention. I stopped eating carbs and began to fast.
That was two and a half years ago. Now I am 41 years old and am healthier today than I was even as a teenager. My abdominal CT scans show no liver damage. The entire liver was replaced by the hand of God. No transplant. No treatment. My bloodwork today is perfect, my body and health perfect. I don't even look the same at 150 lbs. I was 260 lbs before I woke with jaundice that day. I am unrecognizable as a sober human today. People that knew me as a drunk cannot even recognize me. Because that person died.
The doctors told me that this was impossible. That a fully cirrhosed liver won't regenerate. But autophagy through fasting and prayer says otherwises. Humility impresses God, apparently. I still have no family and am very lonely, and this has destroyed my mental health. So I still suffer that punishment. But I will now live for a very long time alone and sad. I never get sick, because I have a health gut microbiome.
Well, hopefully that inspires you to understand that it's not too late to undo any damage to your body. I was prediabetic too, since my drink of choice was Captain Morgan spiced rum and Coke. Sugary Coke, not diet.

I've been on this plantet awhile and seen and done all sorts of fads....I've gotten the best reaults by eliminating all processed foods and just stuck to eat whole foods of all types. Raw and cooked Veggies of all kinds, beef, chicken, fish, fruit, with sensible whole grain intake and sensible intake of nuts. Out of all the fads...past and present, this proved the best results with the factors of my emotions, physical appearance and blood results.
Couldnt be happier and plus lowered my grocery bill by quite a bit

Dr. I see you are getting better and more balanced in your outlook. No doubt it has to do with more research and valid information. In my humble opinion, no vegetable is bad for you UNLESS it affects your health negatively, as with the potatoes and trying to reverse diabetes. Some people just have to be more moderate within moderation itself, and some just have to stay away entirely, according to your issues. That is the nature of health. I am 3 months sugar free, processed and refined foods free! To be honest, because I come from a rice culture, now and then I eat 3 tbsp of rice ( low GI rice, or so they say) with veggies and meat. I do not have hbp, diabetes but I started this for better health. I work out every single day, dry fast twice a week. Lost 14 lbs in the 3 months, ( from only staying away from sugars etc) I was already at normal BMi). I am now at the lower end of my BMI. Feels gr8. I think the only thing I miss is bread! I am 62. I eat a lot of cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and cucumbers and every now and then other low carb veggies.

@@drekberg I must credit you for influencing me into quitting sugars,( even though I was never big on sugary things, except in my tea)and other refined carbs. As i said, i do have a few tbsps of rice now and then, but it does not affect my blood glucose, since I monitor that closely even though I am not diabetic. For one thing, i cannot eat white flour again, within these 3 months, I tried having a small piece of bread, and i get knee pains and a prickly nerve feeling, so I have not attempted that again. thank you

My ancestors are from and I live on Okinawa. The elders live very long and they do eat a lot of different vegetables and lots of protein in tofu, beans, fish, pork and goat. Unfortunately, the 65 and younger are not following the elders’s diet. Too many snacks and convenience foods! More and More people are diabetic and/or have heart problems.
I lived in Okinawa as a teen, from 1970 to 73. Grad from Kubasaki High. My dad was in the Navy so we were stationed there for those 3 years. I did admire even then how the Okinawans worked so hard in the fields and are really well

I do so miss Okinawa. I taught at a university there for 5 years and so enjoyed the people and the place. I noticed that local food included fatty pork as well -- the bitter melons with pork in a champaru with soba is so delicious. I also really miss the beni imo (purple sweet potatoes) and the shiquasa limes. What a wonderful place Okinawa is. Thanks for the reminder of those lovely years.

The only thing that I would add is that where you source those vegetables makes a huge difference to the nutrients, and pesticides, that they contain. Best to grow them yourself if you can or find an organic grower.
Totally!! Home produce is the best because you KNOW EVERYTHING about it and how it was grown. You can also pick it fresh and store it at once if need be.
After struggling with gut problems for a while I have been dividing my food in 3 groups;
1. Bad 2. Acceptable 3. Beneficial
Sometimes a food is beneficial to me, while it is not generally considered to be a healthy food or vice versa. It's trial and error. Doctors can tell me what they like, but if I need to stay in bed for days after following their advice, I'ld rather stick with what I know works for me.
Sten is the man. Logical and rational reasoning. My European grandmother could not have said it better, but she, still , send me to a medical school, to further my education.

I have loved all these videos since the beginning. Please talk more about clogged arteries, what is the cause, and plaque removal- that is a scary subject. Please also talk about what happens when too much fat and protein is eaten - do they float in the bloodstream, get burned quickly, or stored someplace? There are already many videos on what happens after eating carbs, insulin, and glucose in the bloodstream.
My 80 yr old mom has been diabetic 25+ years and really wants to try this, she has a nightmarish insulin pump. When her sugars get too about 100 it quickly PLUMMETS. Many nights she’s gone into the 40s. HOW can I help her start intermittent fasting when she HAS to eat in the middle of some nights? I’m getting her to stop the carbs, but am at a loss on the plummeting sugar scares.
IF isn't magic. it just makes it easier to manage appetite & caloric intake. if she "fasts" from 7 pm until 1 am & then from 2 am until noon, she will still benefit.
My 85 yo mom sounds just like yours. We've found that having her eat a fairly high protein + medium carb snack before bed will cause a gradual higher BG (may get to 200) but then it will "coast" the rest of the night. The protein (and fat, if you can find a a snack she'll eat with all 3) keeps the BG from skyrocketing then plummeting. We've saved my mom from sure death countless times, because she insists on eating foods with little or no protein or fat, so her BG bounces high and low all day...and night.
The plummeting typically happens when the person doesn't eat protein/fat meals, but ones with primarily carbs.
Also-->have you tired calibrating her sensors? My mom uses the T-Slim pump with Dexcom sensors. We've learned to ALWAYS do 2 simultaneous manual BG checks when she has these scary lows in the night. We've found that they're usually not accurate? Remember the most accurate readings come from manual checks, not from the pump/sensor. They are machines and have to detect trends to "get their bearings," so to speak.
(1) Have your mom eat a protein/fat + carb snack before bed. *My carb addicted mom will drink the Chobani yogurt drinks (16-20 carbs + 9-17g protein)
(2) When she has scary lows during the night, check her BG 2x (for good measure)with BG meter when she has these lows to get accurate readings.
(3) Calibrate her sensor immediately, then help her eat a carb + protein/fat snack to resolve the low.
(4) Calibrate her sensors from now on. Manuals admit that sensors can show readings up to 10-20% off. That can be 10-30 points off!
This diabetes is terrifying...don't want it!! I'm refining my diet to keep me far from it. 🙏🏼😨

I am 70 and I have found most vegetables are hard on my gut. For me at least, the only thing I want from the plant kingdom is a clean source of carbs. I need about 100 grams of carbs a day and my insulin remains low - 2 to 3. More than that and my fasting insulin starts to rise. My research lead me to organic California-grown basmati white rice. This grain has zero gluten, very low anti-nutrients and low glycemic index. I don’t buy that we need a diverse gut flora as the science is very unclear. It sounds good - like eating the rainbow - but no science exists that says that gut flora needs to be diverse. Having said that, I have been following this doc for years and have learned a great deal.
I've been on mostly carnivore for around two months and have seen great results. Dropped a lot of weight, feel better, sleep better, and many digestive issues have gone away. I do eat some berries with my Greek yoghurt in the evening and have had no problems with them. The couple of times I had vegetables, all my symptoms - bloating, gas, inflammation in the gut, etc - immediately returned. So for now I'll stick to this diet and will try to reintroduce certain foods gradually.
I have arthritis and I just tried eating meat and I started walking without pain but I found I'm having a hard time pooing so we still need vegetables, it's a balance meat fish chicken eggs and some vegetables plus extra virgin olive oil filtered water and nothing else

I tried carnivore for 30 days and now am back to a pound of veggies per day. I feel better!
Went 30 days carnivore in the middle of a keto diet to loose weight. I kept my weight, great, but not if you really want to lose weight. Easy to over eat..... back to 1kg veg a day plus protein and losing weight again. I am now more likelly go go carnivore once I've reached my desired weight!
I don't have any veg problems.
There is nothing like a vegetable fast for at least one month.
Everything comes out easy, makes you look, feel and smell so clean.
Any tips? I'd love to try this!
@@niellalien If you have a nutribullet take Pinapple, strawberry, banana, orange juice or fresh squeeze o.j., one lime, one lemon, apples and spinach.
Drink that one hour before going to bed.
Eat vegetables or fruit for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Soups are good too.

I stopped using deodorant after 2 weeks of carnivore because i noticed I didn't sweat anymore and if I did, it did not stink.
Try veggies first, see if they work, if not, then try carnivore.
I've given up Vegetables as of 4 years ago and there is nothing like it!!! Fruits too.... and what "comes out" isn't much at all because my body uses the food I'm eating instead of rejecting it. Funnily enough people keep asking me if I've gone Veg because of my obvious transformation and when I tell them the reverse they simply don't believe it.

pps. Edamame is soy beans. They are anti-nutrients and endocrine disrupters. All beans/legumes have to be treated, cooked in the correct way/fermented for some years, before becoming completely edible and digestible for humans.

Low carb and the potential for artery unclogging is great and all, but some of these are high oxalate foods, and I definitely prefer to steer away from those.

I eat lots of them daily. My doctor said if you drink enough water and have no kidney issues they are fine. Works for me 😊

It should be mentioned with regards to gut microbiome: You will leave little to no mess on yourself when number 2-ing, saving you time and maintaining a clean feeling. And it won't smell of a foul landfill. These benefits are often overlooked or not mentioned.

My husband has reflux and has been on a PPI for 30 + years. He's been unable to discontinue them. Do you believe taking them can hurt his gut biome and make him more prone to insulin resistance?
I cut out sugar, dairy, bread, rice and pasta and reflux went away.

What about vegetables for a dissection of the artery?
Oddly enough I used Allimed (garlic extract) to clear my SIBO. Used it with Oregano oil and drastically reduced carbs.

The "overgrowth" is usually caused by 'bad' bacteria that feeds on the carbs before the duodenum. Going low carb will starve the fukkers and the oregano (in particular wild), as well as the garlic are known for their antibacterial properties.
I believe apple cider vinegar would also have helped get rid of them.
Vinegar can give histamine problem….

I agree with your carnivore statement as a carnivore. I have lemon/lime water daily, take probiotics that are different, once in a while have cilantro and beef with onion and garlic and olives.
I had a triple bypass in Jan, one totally blocked and 2 partially blocked arteries, so have been reading up all I can find about how to get better and prevent it happening again...I have recently read that blockage of the arteries by cholesterol is the side affect from damaged arteries, and what damages the arteries is what we need to address... perhaps it is something 'weakening' the cells walls, or something crossing the arterial cell walls that causes 'breakages'?
Diabetes, hypertension, smoking, inflammation are responsible for heart disease. Eat a low carbohydrate diet, don't smoke address inflammation, didn't use vegetable oils etc.
Ivor Cummins has a TH-cam channel watch his videos on heart disease you'll learn all you need to know about atherosclerosis CAC scores and heart disease prevention from him.
Arterial inflammation is mainly caused by higher than normal insulin levels that stay high due to the constant intake of carbohydrates. High carbohydrate at every meal plus between meal snacks and an evening snack. It's just not natural to eat so many carbs but then when those carbs come from processed food the problem is ten times worse.

Chronic low grade inflammation and oxidative stress which leads to tissue damage of the artery, and genetic predisposition to weaker arterial walls, higher inflammation and oxidative stress. High insulin leads to inflammation and you can of course also have a genetic predisposition to insulin resistance😄
I’ve been told that night shade vegetables should be avoided if someone is suffering from arthritis and inflammation is that a true statement or not.
